Arabs and Jews Unite to Proclaim Messiah’s Return

November 26, 2014 – Israel Today  – David Lazarus

A new generation of Arab and Jewish followers of Jesus met together last week to strategize on how to “turn Israel upside down.”

Two hundred and sixty Messianic Jewish and Arab pastors, youth leaders, evangelists, Bible-school teachers and ministry leaders gathered for a three-day council to discuss, study, pray and work together to effectively bring the word of God in power to Arabs and Jews throughout the whole Land of Israel.

These seasoned men and women of faith embody decades of labor proclaiming the Gospel to local Arabs and Jews. Most have given up everything to preach Messiah to their unbelieving Muslim and Jewish families and friends. Despised because of their faith, they have lost jobs, suffered rejection and endured multiple other hardships, yet their passion to bring the Good News to their people remains unquenched.

“We will keep preaching and teaching the Word of God until it changes the people of Israel,” declared one leading pastor. “We must be willing to suffer for the sake of the gospel and keep going no matter what happens. God will accomplish His will through the power of His word.”

The West is under attack by Islamism – How long can you deny it??? Multiculturalism is their gate way / by Ps Daniel Nalliah

Dear friends,

Today the West, and the rest of the world, is under attack on several fronts by Islamism.  This is being carried out not just by Islamic terrorists, but Islam itself is on an onward march to bring about their long term goal of establishing a caliphate across the globe.  Their belief system tells them that all ‘Infidels’ (unbelievers) must convert to Islam or suffer the consequences.

For the past 15 years, I have warned the West in particular that we need to wake up and take a stand against this attack on the freedoms we so value, but unfortunately our secular left-wing media, and many “politically correct” politicians have simply refused to face up to the confronting dangers of Islamism.

Islamist have used the doorway of Multiculturalism to infiltrate Western societies and fight for their rights.  Today the Western world simply does not know how to manage this problem as we have grown a viper in our backyard.

Since the Islamist attacks coming onto our own soil, some are waking from their slumber to acknowledge the brutality of radical Islam.  Yet, sadly many are still totally deceived into believing that Islam can coexist peacefully with our Western way of life under the banner of Multiculturalism.  However, Islamic culture is not compatible with our Western Culture and way of life.

In the past few months, the Islamic Jihadist attacks on the Canadian Parliament, the hostage crisis in Martin Place (Sydney) and now the recent attacks in Paris (France) have been wake up calls for us to recognise that the danger is at the door.

The Islamist agenda functions on several fronts.

1) They use fear and intimidation through attacks on innocent civilians.

2) They use our laws, and law courts, against those who speak out against Islam in order to stifle free speech.

A Diverse and Powerful Egyptian Church

By Dr David Curry , Christian Post Guest Contributor – November 13, 2014

In June and July of 2013, Tahrir Square became a place where history was made. This Cairo, Egypt landmark housed the largest outpouring of protest against the radical Jihadist agenda in the Middle East, with estimates of over 20 million people protesting the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood. The loss of power for the Muslim Brotherhood brought repercussions to Egyptian Christians, both Coptic and evangelical, as the Brotherhood sought to both appeal for support among Islamic radicals, and punish Christians for speaking out against the brutality of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hundreds of churches were burned to the ground, homes and businesses were attacked and many Christians lost their lives.

As CEO of Open Doors USA, I have the privilege of regularly interacting with heroes of the faith, people who have suffered great persecution. I often meet people who have lost their entire families, businesses and homes, simply because they choose to be followers of Jesus. I was in Tahrir Square last January when Egyptians voted to adopt the new constitution and chart a path away from the rule of Islamic Jihadists. I watched as the Brotherhood demonstrated with violence, desperately trying to hold on to their death-grip of power over Egyptians. And I watched as Christians were targeted for brutality.

But just days ago, I returned again from Egypt. What I saw this time was a Church that has grown strong in spite of the horrendous difficulties that it faces. I saw Christians, both Coptic and evangelical, who have come to understand they must seek a common path together in faith. These are important first steps. What I saw was the first steps in the rebuilding of an Egyptian Christian Church focused on the saving grace of Jesus.

Pope Francis Creates Panel to Process ‘Backlog’ of Appeals From Priests Accused of Sexual Abuse

By Michael Gryboski , Christian Post Reporter – November 12, 2014

The Vatican announced Tuesday that Pope Francis will set up a panel to help process the “backlog” of appeals from priests who’ve been accused of committing sexual abuse against minors. The new judicial body, or college, will be overseen by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

“Hearing the appeals is a very important job, especially those on abuse of minors, and the backlog of cases is at risk of absorbing all the time of the congregation,” Vatican spokesman Fr. Federico Lombardi told The Tablet, a Catholic news weekly.

“[The accused] shall have his case examined by the whole body of members of the congregation, the ordinary session, which may also examine other specific cases upon papal request, and/or examine cases referred to it by the newly created college,” he added.

The new college will mostly focus on appeals from defrocked priests, according to Reuters, which reports that “Under the changes, the new commission would handle appeals while an existing office in the doctrinal department would continue to handle initial cases. The Vatican said earlier this year that between 2004 and 2013, it had defrocked about 850 priests who had been accused of sexual abuse of minors.”

Lifeway Study: Almost a Quarter of American Families Have Turned to Church Food Pantries for Help

By Stephanie Samuel , Christian Post Reporter – November 26, 2014

A September Lifeway Research survey reveals that nearly a quarter of Americans have received food from a church-run food pantry. Minorities and churchgoers commonly benefit from church pantries, according to the survey.

The Nashville-based Christian research firm polled 1,158 respondents about church food pantries and found that 22 percent said they have relied on a church program to feed their families. Of those who have received food from a church pantry, 26 percent were churchgoers. Over a third identified as evangelical.

More than one in three church pantry users (37 percent) were African Americans, 25 percent were Hispanic while 19 percent of the pantry users were Caucasian.

Scott McConnell, vice president of LifeWay Research, said of the survey’s results, “There is an abundance of food in the U.S., but plenty of people still go hungry.”

Some 50 million Americans struggle to put food on the table, according to national food bank network Feeding America.

The Church’s Responsibility to Address Male Violence Against Women

September 09, 2014

Male violence against women is a real problem in our culture, one the church must address. Our responsibility here is not simply at the level of social justice but at the level of ecclesical justice as well.

We must teach from our pulpits, our Sunday school classes, and our Vacation Bible Schools that women are to be cherished, honored, and protected by men. This means we teach men to reject American playboy consumerism in light of a Judgment Seat at which they will give account for their care for their families. It means we explicitly tell the women in our congregations, “A man who hits you has surrendered his headship, and that is the business both of the civil state in enacting public justice and of this church in enacting church discipline.”

Church discipline against wife-beaters must be clear and consistent. We must stand with women against predatory men in all areas of abandonment, divorce, and neglect. We must train up men, through godly mentoring as well as through biblical instruction, who will know that the model of a husband is a man who crucifies his selfish materialism, his libidinal fantasies, and his wrathful temper tantrums in order to care lovingly for a wife. We must also remind these young men that every idle word, and every hateful act, will be laid out in judgment before the eyes of the One to whom we must give an answer.

Which of these two parties is too white and too racist? – by Andrew Bolt

To The Age it is obvious

The Greens love diversity in theory:

Australia’s strength lies in the cultural diversity of people from all corners of the globe, the Australian Greens said today… Our country has been greatly enriched by successive generations of immigrants whose influences are reflected in every facet of society.

Not every facet, actually. Greens leader Christine Milne with Greens politicians and candidates in the Victorian election:

Age writer Ruby Hamad isn’t so sure about this diversity thing, after all:

Yes, it appears that Australia’s far right, ultra-nationalist, evangelical Christian, anti-abortion, and anti-immigration party has an extraordinary amount of gender and racial diversity. More so, as I noted someone comment dryly under the photo, than The Greens.

How is this possible?

The Power of Unity – Vic Election and the Christian values based parties / Church leaders refuse to speak out – Will we pay the price?

Dear family and friends in Christ,

First let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted, supported and prayed for us. This was the first State Election that Rise Up Australia Party contested (although we contested the Federal Election last year) and I must say that we learned a lot.

Something very significant happened in this election in Victoria. The Christian values based parties worked together as a block in sharing first preferences with each other and the results were very good.

In most regions with the strategic preferences, we came very close to winning Upper House seats, and it seems that at least one Upper House seat will now be secured, with three more seats currently in question. (Some 90% of the upper house votes are yet  to be re-checked).

This clearly shows the power of unity as Jesus said, where He prays for all believers in John 17:20-23.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me”.

On another note, although some church leaders I know of spoke out regarding the election, once again many church leaders refused to speak out and tell the people how to vote.

Faith leader's statement on our shared values to save our babies, our morals, our schools and our faithMedia Release – For Immediate Release – 24th Monday November 2014

Rise Up Australia endorses faith leader’s statement on our shared values to save our babies, our morals, our schools and our faith

Daniel Nalliah, President of Rise Up Australia Party, is one of the first party leaders publicly to endorse a remarkable joint statement (click the photo on the left to read) by the eminent leaders of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths identifying the four crucial moral issues in the Victorian State election.

Rabbi Shimon Cowen, Bishop Peter Elliott and Imam Riad Galil say in their statement that The Victorian law permitting abortion without anesthetic until birth is the worst abortion law in the world. The UN-sponsored Safe School’s programme to promote homosexuality in schools under the guise of preventing bullying is an attack on the freedom of parents to have children raised according to the values of their faith. Labor’s proposal to force religious schools to employ staff who do not share the school’s religious faith attacks the freedom and integrity of religious institutions. All parents are entitled to obtain a religious education for their children but that neither of the major parties has announced a commitment to fulfilment of this need.

Mr Nalliah, lead Upper House candidate for the South-Eastern Metropolitan Region, said “Faith leader’s statement recognizes our common cause to protect the Faith, Values and Moral decay in society. Never before has our heritage of moral principles been under such relentless and deliberate attack as it is today. Faith leaders stand united in their profound concern at the deliberate assaults on the moral principles on which Australia and the West were founded.

He added that it is alarming that the United Nations, whose charter of human rights states that everyone has the right to life, does nothing to uphold the rights of little children in the womb not to be tortured and then killed. It is still more concerning that the UN is actively supporting the promotion of homosexuality in our schools as though it were a normal lifestyle when in fact it is a life-threatening choice. If a child is bullied for stealing, one does not stop the bullying by celebrating stealing. The UN has arguably out lived what use fullness it once had.”
