For the past few days, as a rare national media spotlight has shined on this city’s troubles, the Rev. Warren Savage has taken the opportunity to meet with self-described members of the gangs that many residents blame for some of those woes: the Crips, the Bloods and the Black Guerrilla Family.
He has found them on the streets, sat down with them in churches, and talked to them about their anger and their aspirations, urging them to redirect their energy from crime and violent feuding to more productive ends — including tamping down unrest that followed the death of a young black man, Freddie Gray, who suffered fatal injuries in police custody two weeks ago.
In Ferguson, Mo., community leaders seemed unable to come together to stem the violence after the police killing of Michael Brown in August. But in Baltimore, an array of pastors, politicians, community leaders and even gang members have repeatedly taken to the streets to calm crowds, effectively helping the police impose a curfew so far.

An African Catholic bishop has said he thinks Hillary Clinton believes she is a god, someone who doesn’t value others’ morals, and he hopes Americans will wake up to what sort of people are running to be their president.
“I believe there are three groups of people in this world,” said Bishop Emmanuel Badejo. “Those who believe in God, those who do not believe in God, and those who think they are gods.”
“Hillary Clinton I think is one of those who thinks she is a god,” he said. “And I’m not obliged to believe that.”
In an April 29 interview with the Catholic website Aleteia, the Nigerian bishop was asked about Clinton’s recent statements at the Women in the World Summit, where she said, “Deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” to give women access to “reproductive health care and safe childbirth.”
UKIP vows to defend Britain’s Christians in new election platform

LONDON, May 5, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In sight of this month’s general election, the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) has issued a manifesto of its adherence to Christian values, saying that there must be a more “robust” defence of Christianity. The party’s leader, Nigel Farage, stated that the political class in Britain has lost sight of the nation’s Christian roots.
“We will uphold robustly the rights of Christians, as well as those of other faiths, to worship as they wish and to espouse their beliefs openly, within the limits of the common law,” the party said in its “Christian manifesto,” thus far, the only such document produced by any British political party.
UKIP says the party is “proud of Britain’s Judaeo-Christian heritage,” which it says “underpins our culture, our legal code and our system of governance.”
“We will stand up for it because we believe it is as integral, relevant and important a part of life in Britain today as it has ever been.”
“Sadly, I think UKIP is the only major political party left in Britain that still cherishes our Judaeo-Christian heritage. I believe other parties have deliberately marginalised our nation’s faith, whereas we take Christian values and traditions into consideration when making policy,” Farage said.

On Thursday afternoon South African Jewry assumed the “Brace position.” Israel had denied Blade Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education, a visa to visit “Palestine.” The crash was inevitable and I for one put my head in my hands and waited for the impact.
As predicted, most South African news agencies led with the story. As predicted, Nzimande called the refusal “an attack on the South African Government” and as predicted the refusal has shown signs of cementing his obsessive focus on Israel and his ‘boycott protocol” that he has extolled for as long as we can remember.
What was not predicted was the response from government weary and disillusioned South Africans. I opened the comments on each article and waited for the deluge of hatred to wash over me. I hesitantly read comment by comment and to my shock could not find one that expressed sympathy for the honoured (or not so) Minister. Not one. Instead the support for Israel’s decision was overwhelming and positive, and although it says less about Israel and more about the state of this sorry nation, it was nonetheless amazing to see.

Armenians, they like to say, were making common cause with the Russian enemy, and ethnic cleansing was therefore a security measure. Turks as Muslims were waging jihad, but Armenians as Christian infidels had brought it all on themselves. In “Minorities,” one of his most judicious essays, Elie Kedourie ascribes much of the blame to the handful of Armenians who had let nationalist ideology take possession of them, a malady or infection “eating up the fabric of settled society.” In his summary of their fate, “the Armenians were forced to be free.”
Baltimore riots: Angry mum smacks her son when she spots him about to join protests

An angry mum has been caught on camera smacking her son across the head after he starting rioting and throwing rocks at police in Baltimore.
The unidentified woman was seen raining blows on her son’s head after she found him joining in the protests.
Despite wearing a black ski mask that covered much of his face, the furious mum was able to spot her son.
A large crowd can be seen looking on during the brief scuffle, which was captured by American news site WMAR.
In the footage, the woman is seen grabbing a hooded male by his balaclava before hitting him repeatedly over the head.
Political Commentator Glenn Beck Wonders Why ‘No One’ in U.S. Cares for Christians’ Plight in Middle East

Conservative political commentator Glenn Beck brought up a controversial issue on Monday, asking why Christians in the United States haven’t done more to help their fellow brethren, who are being persecuted in the Middle East.
In a report filed by Erica Ritz of The Blaze, Beck looked at how American Christians reacted when they defended the “religious freedom” rights a pizza parlor in Indiana. He then noticed how little attention was paid in the U.S. to Christians being persecuted across the Middle East.
“Why does no one care?” Beck said. “When we talked about a Christian pizza parlor just the other day, Christians responded in large numbers. … Here people are getting executed. Shouldn’t the response be exponentially greater when Christians are literally being beheaded and crucified, children being raped and killed every single day?”

George Christensen, the National Party Deputy Whip, has reported some whipersnappin’ “socialist ratbags” to the Human Rights Commission for burning an Australian flag at a counter Reclaim Australia protest.
“The clowns who burned three Australian flags at a protest on the Easter weekend, protected by a wall of socialist ratbags, have been reported to the Human Rights Commission,” the federal member for Dawson blogged.
The outspoken backbencher has asked the Commission to investigate whether the flag burnin’ was in breach of Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act.
“18C makes acts against persons because of their national origin unlawful,” he tweeted. “Lefties defend 18 C without understanding it”.

Massive Police bungle causes violence at Reclaim Australia Rally in Melbourne.
We salute the police for doing a great job across Australia in maintaining peace and order at the Reclaim Australia Rallies around Australia, but unfortunately in Melbourne it was not the same.
Due to a new law passed by the Daniel Andrew’s Labor State Government of Vic on 26th March, the Vic Police department was handcuffed from taking action against the protestors who demonstrated against the peaceful Reclaim Australia Rally in Melbourne at federation Square.
One needs to ask the question as to why the police blocked around 1000 + supporters who came to the Reclaim Australia Rally from entering the area at Federation Square for the rally.
Which resulted in the socialist alliance protesters starting to attack peaceful participators of the Reclaim Australia Rally. Since they were blocked out by police and made to stand amongst the opposition.
This also made it look like that there were more people against us, when in reality there were many more who came to stand united to protect Australia and Keep Australia Australian, but they were made to stand with the opposition by the police.
The National President of Rise Up Australia Party Daniel Nalliah was the only speaker who completed his speech, as the police shut down the peaceful rally.

This slum on the outskirts of Pakistan’s capital looks like many others ringing it, with dirt roads and cement-block homes, until a passer-by sees a simple black banner bearing a Bible verse about Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
The Christian Colony on the edge of Islamabad is home to many Christians who once lived elsewhere in the capital, but fled in fear after a string of blasphemy allegations and killings. In this country of 180 million people, where Islam is the state religion and 95 percent of people are Muslims, Christians represent just a sliver of the population.
Most face daily discrimination and eke out a living by holding low-paying jobs, like street sweeping. However, they’ve carved out their own lives in a country that faces near-daily attacks by Islamic extremists.
“I wish to save my people by providing them faith and some education,” said Pastor Orangzaib Maseeh, who teaches locals how to read at his simple, open-air church. “I want them to have a life of a normal person. They used to have one.”

As the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade draws near, we are reminded of how large and formidable the abortion industry has become in the United States. On the other side are those who know such deep guilt can only be relieved by the open confession of sin, a story Lecrae Moore lived out firsthand, and a message he’s now willing to share. It was honesty that opened the door of healing for the 35-year-old Grammy Award winning hip-hop artist who has come forward to admit he advocated for the destruction of his own child in 2002.
Israel Election – Pray for PM Benjamin Netanyahu to be re-elected

On 3rd March at 6.45am I was interviewed by a very well-known secular radio station in California. The host wanted to know, amongst many other things, as to what my take was on the PM of Israel speaking to the US Congress just a couple of hours after my interview.
That morning from my hotel room in Los Angeles, I watched the PM of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu address the US Congress. It was possibly one of the best speeches I have ever heard. Interestingly enough, he did not need a teleprompter machine because he spoke from his heart about his people and the land the Lord had given them.
I was in tears at times when I heard him quote the bible and speak on Esther and Moses. It was very interesting, although President Obama did not attend this very important meeting. His absence seemed not to bother anyone.
Congress stood up and applauded the PM of Israel, almost after every sentence he spoke. I have never heard anyone get so many rounds of applause.
God does have a very good sense of humour as he used the PM of Israel to challenge the nation of America from the very place the US President would address the nation and the congress.
Let me get to the real point. We must earnestly storm heaven for PM Benjamin Netanyahu to be re-elected. If not, Israel will possibly lose a lot of what she has gained under his leadership. It is not about people’s opinions, but God’s will to be done for Israel.
