Was Osama a true Muslim or a radical Islamic extremist? / By Pr Daniel

Osama Bin LadenPastor DanielDear family and friends in Christ,

There has been much news in the media all over the world in the last few days regarding the death of Osama bin Laden.

This man who was driven by a very evil agenda and who managed to terribly change the world in some 10 years through violence and fear, has successfully put Islam on the global scene.

So, was he a radical Islamic extremist or was he a true Muslim who followed the Quran?? Click the following link to read a document and make up your mind as to whether this man followed the Quran or not??

https://reformationharvestfire.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/we-must-care-for-australia.pdf

A true believer of any faith is a person who follows the fundamental doctrines of the faith, generally called a ‘fundamentalist’.

The question then needs to be asked, are there good Muslims? The answer is YES, of course.  However, they are not necessarily true Muslims according to Mohammed and the Quran.  Many Muslims have not read, nor follow the whole Quran, and prefer living a peaceful life.

Iran Government Releases “Second Coming” Video

31st March 2011

The government of Iran has released a movie called The Coming Is Near designed to prepare Muslims around the world for the return of the “twelfth Mahdi.” This radical Islamic doctrine, devoutly believed by Iranian President Ahmadinejad, teaches that an end-time war will sweep the world following which this hidden descendant of Mohammed will return to place the entire earth under Shari’a law.

The video claims that Iran is destined to rise as a great power in the last days to help defeat America and Israel and usher in the return of the Mahdi. And it makes clear the Iranians believe that time is fast approaching.

“The Hadith have clearly described the events and the various transformations of countries in the Middle East and also that of Iran in the age of the coming,” said a narrator, who went on to say that America’s invasion of Iraq was foretold by Islamic scripture—and that the Mahdi will one day soon rule the world. TEHRAN, IRAN (ANS) — Erick Stakelbeck, CBN News Terrorism Analyst is reporting that new evidence has emerged that the Iranian government sees the current unrest in the Middle East as a signal that the Mahdi–or Islamic messiah–is about to appear.

CBN News has obtained a never-before-seen video produced by the Iranian regime that says all the signs are moving into place — and that Iran will soon help usher in the end times.

While the revolutionary movements gripping the Middle East have created uncertainty throughout the region, the video shows that the Iranian regime believes the chaos is divine proof that their ultimate victory is at hand. (more…)

Sunni v Shia

Sunni vs Shia in the Middle EastZaki Chehab – Published 12 February 2007

The clash between Sunni and Shia Muslims is the greatest cause of strife across the Arab world. Here – as part of our special issue on Islam – Zaki Chehab explains the deep-lying roots of the turmoil

Iraqis have already given it a name: the “Bloody Evening”. At about 5pm on Saturday 3 February, a Mercedes lorry carrying more than a tonne of explosives was detonated in the Sadriyah neighbourhood of Baghdad, killing 150 people and wounding 300 more. The suicide bomber had driven into a food market in a largely Shia area; the result was the greatest loss of life from a single bomb since the US invasion of 2003.

From weary experience, Iraqis know that it is only a matter of time before Shia militants seek revenge. While hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have sought refuge in neighbouring countries, the majority who cannot leave or cannot afford to leave are trapped in a cycle of sectarian killings that the religious and political leaderships of Shias and Sunnis alike have failed to arrest. Abbas, a Shia friend who left Baghdad recently, told me from his new base in Jordan that he had been forced to go – he had been unable to send his three children to school for fear they would fall victim to the Iraqi sectarian killings that are claiming the lives of a hundred people a day. He described the grisly scene with municipal trucks going out each morning to collect the bodies of those killed the previous night. Corpses found in plastic bags were evidence that the victims had been kidnapped and disposed of when no ransom was paid.

Christians And Their Churches Targeted By Radical Muslims

Militant Islam Monitor – By Emerson Vermaat

In December 2010 I reported that Christian asylum seekers in three thirds of the asylum seekers centers in Holland (so-called “AZC’s”) are seriously intimidated by Muslim asylum seekers. Too many Muslim converts to Christianity – often refugees from totalitarian Muslim societies – live in fear. However, the problem of harassing or attacking Christians is much more widespread. Many Christians in Iraq are persecuted by radical Muslims who bomb their churches, kill their pastors and priests. Many of them flee to the West. (Some them end up in Dutch asylum seekers centers where they once again face harassment by militant Muslims.) Coptic churches in Egypt have also been bombed. There was a major terror attack on a Coptic church in Alexandria, Egypt, on New Year’s day, when 25 Coptic Christians were killed.

Iran’s “Press TV”, Lebanon’s Grand Mufti, a Muslim Brotherhood official and an Egyptian lawyers group suggested that agents of the Israeli Mossad – “zionist fingerpints” – were behind the church blast. In a recent essay Raymond Ibrahim, author of the noteworthy book “The Al Qaeda Reader,” points out that “Islamists accuse Egypt’s Christians of behaving like… Islamists.” “Islamists regularly abduct, abuse, brainwash, and compel Coptic girls to convert – and now Copts are accused of doing the exact same thing; Islamists regularly smuggle and stockpile weapons, including in their holy places – and now Copts are accused of doing the exact same thing. Islamists are constantly either trying to break away or conquer infidel nations – and now Copts are accused of doing the exact same thing; Islamic martyrdom means participating and dying in jihad – and now Christian martyrdom is defined as the exact same thing.” “This recent batch of bizarre accusations is making Muslims more irate and paranoid, and bodes greater evil for Egypt’s beleaguered Christians.”

U.S. grants asylum to born-again ‘Son of Hamas’

MosabPosted: June 30, 2010 By Art Moore © 2010 WorldNetDaily

Homeland Security wanted to deport ex-Muslim who spied for Israel – Mosab Hassan Yousef

An immigration judge in San Diego ruled today the son of a Hamas founder who converted to Christianity and spied for Israel will be granted political asylum after the Department of Homeland Security dropped its objections.

As WND reported, Mosab Hassan Yousef had been denied his February 2009 request for asylum because the department interpreted his work as a counterterror agent with Israel’s Shin Bet security agency as engagement in terrorist activity, making him a threat to U.S. security.

Judge Rico Bartolomei ruled Yousef will be granted political asylum Aug. 26 after he is fingerprinted and passes a routine background check. Yousef says he wants to become a U.S. citizen.

Christians, Jewish Leaders Protest Iran President Outside UN

Wednesday, 22 September 2010 01:54 PM EDT Adrienne S. Gaines News

Christians joined with Jewish leaders Tuesday to protest the appearance of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the United Nations General Assembly this week.

Representatives from the New York Board of Rabbis and Eagles’ Wings’ ministry formed a human chain outside the United Nations building in New York, singing and blowing a shofar to condemn the U.N.’s inclusion of Ahmadinejad, who has called for Israel to be “wiped off the map.”

“Anyone who is concerned about human rights, anyone who is concerned about the basic values of human rights that the United Nations purports be founded on needs to take a stand against this tyrant, this despot Ahmadinejad,” said Robert Stearns, founder of Eagles’ Wings, a New York-based Christian ministry that supports Israel through prayer and social outreach.

Tens of Thousands of Muslims Coming to Christ, Says Iranian Ministry Leader

Muslims coming to ChristBy Michelle A. Vu – Christian Post Reporter

Missions – Wed, Oct. 20 2010

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

CAPE TOWN, South Africa – The mood was light Tuesday evening – thanks to leg-swinging praise music – when Lausanne III participants wrestled with the difficult topics of reconciliation in the Middle East, HIV/AIDS, and human trafficking.

Speakers gave hopeful messages of how God is moving and bringing hope despite addressing some of the darkest and seemingly most hopeless situations in the world today.

The Middle East, which has become almost synonymous with violence and Islam, is experiencing an unprecedented level of Muslims becoming followers of Jesus Christ, said Sam Yeghnazar, founder of Iran-focused Elam Ministries. There were only about 500 Iranian Christians from a Muslim background at the time of Lausanne I in 1974, he said. But over the past 30 years, more Muslims have come to Christ than in the past 1,300 years.

“Iran today is a closed land with countless open hearts,” said Yeghnazar. “It is the most open nation to the Gospel in the entire world. Tens of thousands of Iranians are turning to Christ.”

“Betrayed by the government, disillusioned with the religion, depressed by the prospects of the future, Iranians when they come to know the Lord Jesus Christ are completely transformed,” he said. “They proclaim Christ in the marketplace. Entire families, men and women, are coming to Christ.”

Iranian Pastors Risk Lives for Training

Inspire Iranian PastorsWednesday, 01 September 2010 EDT Valerie G. Lowe News – Featured News

If the Iranian government knew Christians were learning how to grow a church in the middle of their Muslim nation, the converts could lose their freedom—or worse, their lives.

But that hasn’t stopped pastors with the underground church in Iran from secretly attending classroom sessions led by Dave Anderson, a founder and longtime trainer for EQUIP, the organization led by Christian leadership guru John Maxwell.

Evangelists Say Muslims Coming to Christ at Historic Rate

Muslim MosqueFriday, 20 August 2010 Sarah Stegall News – Featured News

Christians ministering quietly in the Middle East say Muslims are coming to Christ at an unprecedented pace despite intense persecution of those who leave Islam.

“Probably in the last 10 years, more Muslims have come to faith in Christ than in the last 15 centuries of Islam,” said Tom Doyle, Middle East-Central Asia director for e3 Partners, a Texas-based missions agency.

A former pastor, Doyle has been to the Middle East around 80 times and last week returned to the U.S. from a trip to Jerusalem, where he said both Muslims and Jews are turning to Christianity.

Earlier this month, more than 200 former Muslims were baptized during a training conference in Europe led by Iran-born evangelist Lazarus Yeghnazar. Brenda Ajamian, a former missionary to the Middle East who partners with Yeghnazar’s 222 Ministries International, said the event was unlike anything she’d seen during her years ministering in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.

“That many Muslims who converted to Christ in one place boggled my mind because missionaries have worked in the Arab world and Muslim world generally for years and without much fruit,” Ajamian said. “God is at work among Muslims.”

God’s Strategic Plan for Iran

Wednesday, 26 May 2010 J. Lee Grady Newsletters – Fire in my Bones

An Iranian evangelist says a spiritual awakening of unprecedented magnitude is occurring behind the scenes in a nation known for its terrorism.

Most Americans have put Iran on a blacklist. We’re concerned about Shiite militants who spread terrorism around the world, we don’t trust Iran’s nuclear weapons plans and we can’t stomach Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s human rights record or his maniac ways.

But my friend Lazarus Yeghnazar, an Iranian evangelist based in England, hopes you will develop some compassion for this part of the world. Most of us associate the Bible with Israel, but did you know that Esther, Daniel, Nehemiah, Ezra and Habakkuk all walked on Persian land that is now called Iran? In fact, the tombs of Esther, Daniel, Habakkuk, Cyrus and Darius are in Iran.

“”Yeghnazar says the churches are growing so fast in Iran that some leaders have wondered if they should stop evangelizing. ‘One church leader told me they have stopped sharing their faith because every Iranian they witness to comes to Christ.’ “

Yeghnazar points out that Iranians were among the first Christian converts. The people known as Parthians, Medes and Elamites, who were in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost (see Acts 2:9, 11), were from what is now Iran. Jeremiah prophesied that God would “restore the fortunes of Elam” in the last days (see Jer. 49:39). Elam is modern-day Iran.

This promise of spiritual restoration is no longer a far-off dream. A vibrant New Testament church is thriving in Iran, in spite of brutal persecution under Ahmadinejad’s regime. And this growing spiritual awakening in Iran could play a significant role in end-time events. (more…)

Burkas should be banned as ‘un-Australian’, senator claims

By Bonnie Malkin in Sydney 07 May 2010

An Australian senator has called the burka “un-Australian” and said it should be banned, sparking anger among the country’s Muslim community.

Cory Bernardi, a Liberal from South Australia, complained that the full Islamic veil was a “repressive domination of men over women” and established “different sets and expectations in society”.

Writing on his blog following an armed robbery in Sydney by a man wearing a burka and sunglasses, he said: “It is un-Australian – and its symbolic barrier is far greater than the measure of cloth it is created from. For safety and for society, the burka needs to be banned.”

Sen Bernardi complained that the veil was “emerging as the preferred disguise of bandits and n’er do wells” and that Muslims migrating to Australia must learn to adopt local values.

If men wearing motorcycle helmets had to remove them in banks and businesses, then the burka should be taken off too, he argued.

His comments come days after Belgium’s lower house of parliament approved a draft law to ban wearing the full Islamic face veil in public. France, which has the largest Muslim population in Europe, is set to examine a similar draft bill this month, despite angry protests.

Tony Abbott, the leader of the opposition Liberal Party, stopped short of supporting a ban on burkas, but said that most Australians found the garment “confronting”. (more…)

Freed Female Converts to Face Iranian Judge Again

Islamic womenBy Ethan Cole|Christian Post Reporter Fri,  Apr. 09 2010

The two Iranian female converts to Christianity, who were released in November, will again appear before a judge next Tuesday, an Iran-focused Christian ministry reported.

Maryam Rostampour, 27, and Marzieh Amirizadeh, 30, were summoned for a court hearing on April 13.

According to Elam Ministries, which has been following their case from the beginning, the women are still in frail physical condition from their time in prison. The two had spent 259 days in Iran’s notorious Evin Prison where they were reportedly subjected to psychological abuse and their medical requests were ignored.

Since their conditional release on Nov. 18, the women have been recuperating and receiving medical treatments. Elam reported on Thursday that they “remain unwell, weak and suffering from various illnesses.”

Despite their sufferings, Rostampour and Amirizadeh are “determined to be faithful to the Lord and speak the truth in court whatever the consequence of personal cost,” the ministry said. (more…)

Ex-Muslim Defends Franklin Graham’s Islam Remarks

By Michelle A. Vu, Christian Post Reporter, Thursday April 29th

Graham and others like him who criticize Islam are not saying they hate Muslims, said Sabatina James, a well-known Paskistani convert to Christianity who lives in Europe, in an interview with The Christian Post on Wednesday.

The granddaughter of a mullah weighed in on the Franklin Graham controversy this week, contending that there is a difference between critisizing Islam and Muslims

“Make the difference between sin and sinner,” said James, “between Islam and Muslims. Don’t say that every Muslim is a terrorist and every Muslim is bad because that is just not true. But there are definitely things that need to be changed in Islam or else you can’t live in a democracy.”

James, who is living under police protection and constantly on the move because of death threats against her, said Islamic rights do not fit in a country like the United States.

“Nobody is allowed to beat up his wife just because she’s not obedient but that is written in the Quran,” she said. “You know you have to think about it.”

“Is there a different Quran? No they are teaching the same Quran where it is written ‘beat your wife if she is not obedient.’ They are teaching the same Quran where it is written ‘the Christians and Jewish people are evil.’ It is written in the Surah Al-Maidah. It is written there ‘don’t take Jewish and Christian people as your friend.’ That is what you are taught in the Quran schools.” (more…)
