Joyce Meyer Sees ‘a Ton of Compromise In the Church Today’; Says Christians Can’t Be Like the World and Be an Example to the World
May 24, 2016 – The Christian Post – Stoyan Zaimov
Christian author and speaker Joyce Meyer says she’s seen a good deal of compromise and giving into the ways of the world going on at church, and warns believers that society often blurs the lines between right and wrong.
“There is a ton of compromise in the church today. We can’t just be like the world, and be an example to the world,” Meyer said in a sermon to her congregation in St. Louis online on Monday.
“The lines are getting really blurred out there about what is even right, and what’s wrong,” she added.
Meyer explained that God calls people to be happy and holy, which she said are not mutually exclusive conditions, but warned Christians that they need to be careful about the situations and people they engage with.
Evangelist Will Graham Returns to Australian Outback, Reaps a Great Harvest from Others’ Dedicated Sowing
Erik Ogren : Jun 3, 2016 : BillyGraham.org
“In Alice Springs we harvested fruit that we did not sow. Particularly among the indigenous people, Dr. Bell and other missionaries planted the seeds of faith in Jesus Christ decades ago, and we were able to see the result last weekend.”
Evangelist Will Graham returned to Australia last week – a continent on which he’s preached biannually since 2010 – to share the hope of Jesus in the arid Outback. The three-day event, titled Reality, was held May 20-22 at Blatherskite Park in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. (Photo via Billy Graham Evangelistic Association)
Alice Springs is located in the approximate center of the continent, nearly equidistant between Darwin on the northern coast of Australia and Adelaide on the southern coast.
In this remote town of 28,605, nearly 6,000 people attended the weekend event.
“Some of you have a broken life and God doesn’t use band aids. God wants to completely change you,” said Graham from the podium. “Salvation is a Person and His name is Jesus. Jesus can change everything in life. He can change your life tonight!”
Germany: “Fear and panic” among Christian refugees as Muslims persecute them
June 4, 2016 – By Robert Spencer
“I really didn’t know that after coming to Germany I would be harassed because of my faith in the very same way as back in Iran.” Welcome to the brave new multicultural Germany.
“Growing concern for German churches: Muslim refugees harassing Christians,” by Tom Heneghan, Deseret News, June 3, 2016:
Germany’s refugee crisis is challenging the country’s main religious groups as they try to balance a welcoming attitude to the mostly Muslim migrants and concern for the welfare of the minority Christians among them.
Increasingly, accounts of Muslim migrants ganging up on Christians and other minorities in refugee shelters have raised concerns.
Why Is Christianity Thriving in Nepal?
By Jo Anne Lyon , Op-Ed Contributor – March 3, 2016
Christians in Nepal.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:9
In Nepal, Hinduism reigns as the primary religion — out of Nepal’s population of 28 million, Christians make up less than 1.5 percent. Recently, the former Hindu kingdom adopted a new constitution that declared the country a secular state.
Under the new constitution, the freedom of religion is technically upheld but attempting to change or convert someone from one religion to another is punishable by law. In addition, Christianity remains socially unacceptable, often inciting violence and oppression. While you can legally choose your religion in Nepal, Nepali Christians continue to suffer inequality and persecution as they have for decades.

“As every Libyan, when I was a little boy, I used to go to the Koranic school,” Shahid told Leading The Way (LTW) with Dr. Joseph Youssef, a Christian television and radio ministry that broadcasts in more than 190 countries around the world.
Are You “n”? …Standing With Our Persecuted Brothers and Sisters
3/2/2016 Jason Peters – Charisma Magazine
When Islamic State militants (ISIS) moved into northern Iraq, they began identifying Christian-owned homes and businesses. Families would find the Arabic letter “N” ( ? ) painted on their buildings. This single letter, the first letter of the word used in the Quran to identify Christians, conveyed the powerful accusation that the occupants were followers of Jesus. Our Christian brothers and sisters were tagged in this way and given the choice of either converting to Islam or standing for Christ and losing everything they owned.
I have had the privilege of meeting some of these sisters and brothers during recent visits to Iraq, where The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is serving them in their time of great need. I’d like to share one of their stories with you. It is the story of a 36-year-old wife and mother who met God in a life-changing way during a worship service. Here is Ban No’Shaba’s story.
Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Ban No’Shaba lived what she called an average life with her husband, a taxi driver, until November 2013, when her husband was kidnapped by ISIS and their family was forever changed.

Bible charity vows to continue translation work after murders
Fox News ^ | 3/30/2016 | Perry Chiaramonte
The murders of four translators working to bring the Bible to obscure languages in the Middle East earlier this month won’t stop the charity behind the effort from its work, officials said.
The four unidentified translators, who worked secretly for Wycliffe Associates, a Florida non-profit dedicated to bringing the gospel to hundreds of obscure languages, were killed by suspected Islamist militants at an undisclosed location,Wycliffe officials said in a statement.
“They shot and destroyed all the equipment in the office,” read the statement. “The invaders burned all the books and other translation materials in the office.”
The work is so dangerous that Wycliffe President Bruce Smith will not even say what country the office was in or give the names of those killed. He did say the attackers shot two workers to death and beat two more to death with emptied guns as they used their bodies to shield a senior translator who survived.
