Ravi Zacharias: In Today’s Moral Graveyard the Church Must be a Place Where Sermons Aren’t Just Heard, But SEEN

Leah Marieann Klett : Jul 12, 2016 : The Gospel Herald

“We are always near the breaking-point when we care only for what is legal and nothing for what is lawful.

Unless we have a moral principle about such delicate matters as marriage and murder, the whole world will become a welter of exceptions with no rules.

There will be so many hard cases that everything will go soft.” – Ravi Zacharias, on why legalizing gay marriage took the divide between the Church and secular world to a breaking point.

[The Gospel Herald] Christian apologist and author Ravi Zacharias has warned America it is suffering from a “deep crisis of the soul” that is “killing us morally” and said the only way out of the “grave” in which the country has buried itself is through Jesus Christ.

Rick Warren: 7 Attitudes on Racism; Christians Should Have This One

By Anugrah Kumar , Christian Post Contributor – July 24, 2016

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in Southern California addressed racism in his sermon in the wake of the deadly ambush of police officers following the shooting deaths of African Americans, describing seven attitudes to racism and identifying the one which Christians should have.

“Our nation is desperate for healing… and the Church cannot be silent,” Warren told the congregation in a recent sermon he delivered after a shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana left three police officers dead.

The megachurch pastor quoted Titus 2:11: “God has revealed his grace to save the whole human race.”

God has never made a person He doesn’t love, Warren stressed. “Race was God’s idea,” he said. “Racial reconciliation is at the heart of the Gospel.”

Pentecostal Leaders Pack Out Trump’s New Christian Advisory Board

6/23/2016 Aysha Khan/RNS

Donald Trump’s campaign announced its new evangelical advisory board Tuesday (June 21) as the presumptive presidential nominee met with nearly 1,000 conservative Christians.

The Evangelical Executive Advisory Board will convene regularly to “provide advisory support to Mr. Trump on those issues important to Evangelicals and other people of the faith in America,” the campaign said in a statement.

It also will lead a Faith and Cultural Advisory Committee that will be announced later in June.

First on the list is former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Shortly before announcing her own bid for the presidency in 2012, Bachmann withdrew from Salem Lutheran Church after 10 years as a member and moved to a nearby evangelical church.

After Dallas, How Can We Quench the Fires of Racism and Violence?

The Christian Post – July 09, 2016

As I read the news reports, my heart immediately went out to the families. The media has been fueling the flames of racism and hatred for some time and we are reaping the whirlwind.

Yes, hatred and racism do exist, but from my vantage point, not to the degree they are being portrayed. I see tremendous love between the black and white communities — love we should be encouraging.

What if we looked through a different lens other than the lens of the secular media …

What if more people knew that many of America’s founders did not support slavery? The truth is that many of the Founding Fathers were responsible for planting the first seeds of equality and for the eventual end of slavery. John Quincy Adams was often referred to as the “hell-hound of the abolition movement” for his efforts against slavery.

RUAP MEDIA RELEASE – DISTASTEFUL GREENS

MONDAY 27th JUNE 2016 – For Immediate Release

Not everyone likes their ‘Greens’, especially when they can be so distasteful by saying one thing then doing another.

John Safran epitomised this with satirical genius when he exposed how The Greens spout ‘multicultural’ ‘racial’ tolerance yet their candidates and seated members are wrapped in a sea of ‘vanilla’; in other words, it appears a white-only supremacy party.

While Rise Up Australia Party have members and candidates who are of white Anglo-Saxon descent, there is no denying the fact they are also a sea of multi-ethnic richness of varied heritage and skin colour;  This flies in the face of lies perpetuated by groups such as The Greens, who constantly accuse Rise Up of racism.

May we suggest it is groups like The Greens who are truly racist in their hearts, for failing to attract and stand multi-ethnic candidates.

Daniel Nalliah and his Rise Up Australia Team have spent their whole political existence drawing Australia back to the dictionary definition of ‘Multiculturalism’ and ‘Multi-Ethnicity’ and their obvious difference.

Barna Group – More than half have wrestled with it, but less than 1 percent recommend telling their congregation.

Most pastors have struggled with porn.

That’s according to an online study of nearly 3,000 adults, teenagers, and pastors by the Barna Group. The study included 432 pastors and 338 youth pastors, and was commissioned by Josh McDowell Ministry and Cru for an April summit.

The study examined pornography’s effect on pastors, churches, the general population, and young people.

“Most pastors (57%) and youth pastors (64%) admit they have struggled with porn, either currently or in the past,” Barna reported. “Overall, 21 percent of youth pastors and 14 percent of pastors admit they currently struggle with using porn.”
