‘Tens of Thousands’: Christian Missions Organizations Saw Muslim Conversions to Christianity Climb After 9/11 Terror Attacks

September 10, 2016

When radical Islamic terrorists brought down the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers 15 years ago, they didn’t realize their actions would also help bring down walls to reaching Muslims with the Gospel.

But that’s exactly what happened.

In the years since Sept. 11, 2001, the number of Unengaged, Muslim Unreached People Groups (UMUPGs) in the world has decreased by nearly 20 percent, from 1,333 in 2001 to 1,077 today, according to statistics provided by Vision 5:9, a coalition of Christian missions organizations focused on reaching Muslims.

That translates to 32 million fewer Muslims living in groups with little or no access to the Gospel than when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Ravi Zacharias: In Today’s Moral Graveyard the Church Must be a Place Where Sermons Aren’t Just Heard, But SEEN

Leah Marieann Klett : Jul 12, 2016 : The Gospel Herald

“We are always near the breaking-point when we care only for what is legal and nothing for what is lawful.

Unless we have a moral principle about such delicate matters as marriage and murder, the whole world will become a welter of exceptions with no rules.

There will be so many hard cases that everything will go soft.” – Ravi Zacharias, on why legalizing gay marriage took the divide between the Church and secular world to a breaking point.

[The Gospel Herald] Christian apologist and author Ravi Zacharias has warned America it is suffering from a “deep crisis of the soul” that is “killing us morally” and said the only way out of the “grave” in which the country has buried itself is through Jesus Christ.

Eric Metaxas Says Many American Christians Lack True Faith That Only Comes From Being Persecuted

July 09, 2016 – The Christian Post – Samuel Smith

New York Times bestselling author Eric Metaxas says that many Christians in the United States have adopted an “American version of Christianity” and lack a true understanding about what it means to be faithful to God’s word under the threat of persecution.

Metaxas, the author of several books including the recent title If You Can Keep It: The Forgotten Promise of American Liberty, gave a one-hour keynote speech to kick off The Bridge, an annual 3-day conference focusing on the persecuted church hosted by collaboration of groups led by the persecution watchdog group International Christian Concern.

Rick Warren: 7 Attitudes on Racism; Christians Should Have This One

By Anugrah Kumar , Christian Post Contributor – July 24, 2016

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in Southern California addressed racism in his sermon in the wake of the deadly ambush of police officers following the shooting deaths of African Americans, describing seven attitudes to racism and identifying the one which Christians should have.

“Our nation is desperate for healing… and the Church cannot be silent,” Warren told the congregation in a recent sermon he delivered after a shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana left three police officers dead.

The megachurch pastor quoted Titus 2:11: “God has revealed his grace to save the whole human race.”

God has never made a person He doesn’t love, Warren stressed. “Race was God’s idea,” he said. “Racial reconciliation is at the heart of the Gospel.”

Gold is Good, but These Rio Olympians say God is #1

August 06, 2016

A glimpse of inspiration and testimony from some of Team USA’s Christian athletes.

There’s nothing like the pomp and prestige of the Olympics Games to raise the stakes for the world’s top athletes. With millions of viewers watching, more than 10,000 will compete in this year’s Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Fans tune in not only for the physical feats, but for stories of triumph. We want to see who achieves the dream of winning gold on a global stage. Competing at this level forces participants to reckon with priorities. Some Christian athletes enter with a perspective that explicitly challenges the idea that Olympic success would be the pinnacle of their lives. Some learn that lesson as they go.

Alveda King Challenges Americans: “Vote for America’s Good, Not the Lesser of Two Evils”

Eugene Vigil/Alveda King (Aug 10, 2016)

“Let’s overlook personal personality preferences; vote for the candidate with the greater potential to deliver on the issues most closely aligned with our faith and what is good for America.” -Dr. Alveda King

This Presidential election, many are saying they will vote for the “lesser of two evils.” Won’t it be better to vote for “what’s good for America?” Voting on the issues trumps evil hearts and personalities.

A colleague writes:  “We hear the phrase: ‘lesser of two evils’ a lot … This year, we have witnessed much voting hand-wringing with many people of faith claiming that it is evil to ever vote for ‘the lesser of two evils’, or for any evil at all.

I have concluded that this lesser of two evils phrase is really a canard; a false picture of the electoral choice. Yes, we should never ever vote for evil; only for good.

Mark Ellis : Aug 2, 2016 : God Reports

[God Reports] She was born into a strict Muslim family in the Middle East. Because she was born in the Muslim month of Ramzan, her parents named her Ramza.

“I was a religious girl from my childhood,” she told Bibles for Mideast.

“I was always in front of the line for the Islamic practices for reciting the Koran, doing prayers five times a day, and fasting on the month of Ramzan.”

She also kept the tradition of wearing the “abaya,” with full head and face covering.

At this rate, by 2030, Christians in China will exceed 200 million, surpassing the United States and making China the country with the largest Christian population in the world.” -Yu Jie

Muhammad descendant sees vision of Jesus 3 times — the last one saves him after getting stabbed by Muslim extremist

Hazel Torres 13 April 2016

A devout Muslim whose family has direct ties to the prophet Muhammad saw a vision of Jesus Christ on three occasions, leading him to turn his back on Islam and follow the one true God, even if this means being labelled an “infidel” and marked for death by Muslim radicals.

Ali Sayed Husnain Shah narrated his astounding spiritual journey in his new book, “The Cost: My Life On a Terrorist Hit List,” according to God Reports.

Ali said his conversion began when at 15 years old, he traveled from his home in Pakistan to Oxford, England to visit his ailing aunt Gulshan.

After his arrival in England, he was shocked to find out that his aunt was no longer a Muslim, having embraced Christianity several years before he was born.

Rejected by Mosques, Muslim Refugees in the UK Are Turning to Christ

News Staff : Jul 20, 2016 : CBN News

“With the mass movement from across the world we have got people of faith coming into secular society and faith really matters to them. And they are not too bothered, as bothered as we may think, about how that faith is expressed.” -Rev. Sally Smith

The UK publication reports that three to four Muslim migrants accept Christ each week at St. Mark’s church in Stoke-on-Trent. Some say they were first turned away from local mosques even though they were homeless and needed help.

On one Saturday afternoon, 15 refugees were baptized at the church.

How the Church is Changing England With Free Education

News Staff : Jul 13, 2016 : CBN News

The new schools will be a way for the Church to have a voice in an increasingly secular government, a voice many secular leaders want diminished.

England’s new initiative to open 500 free schools for underprivileged children has been derided by many critics as a poor decision, but the Church of England sees it as an opportunity to teach children the Christian faith.

The free schools are funded by the government but can be set up and run by charities, parents, trusts, businesses, teachers, or religious groups.
