Rebit was born into a Christian family in 1975 but his parents converted to Islam when he was eight years old… In 1999, Rebit embraced Christianity and was baptized.

[World Watch Monitor] In a landmark ruling last week a Malaysian court upheld the rights of a Christian to convert from Islam.

The judgment establishes a precedent in a country where religious conversions, particularly from Islam to Christianity, have been steeped in controversy.

The verdict reaffirms the supremacy of the Federal Constitution, which under Article 11 defends every Malaysian citizen’s right to freedom of religion.

War on Christianity is fuelled by ignorance

Herald Sun

IT’S not the haters who will kill Christianity. It’s the ignorant, who have no clue how we non-Christians will suffer.

But, wow, that hatred sure is feral. The latest examples?

One: the Greens this week say they want to strip churches of their “right to discriminate” — actually their freedom to insist their employees live the faith.

Two: Sydney University’s Student Union threatened to deregister the university’s Evangelical Union unless it stopped insisting members declare their faith in Jesus Christ.

Three: Christian lobby group Family Voice Australia this week accused Facebook of deleting one of its pages arguing against same-sex marriage.

Four: Facebook administrators had earlier deleted a page by the Centre for Public Christianity calling on same-sex marriage activists to be less abusive (It was restored after protests by Tim Wilson, the former freedom commissioner and now Liberal candidate in Goldstein).

Five: Yet another church in Melbourne was burned to the ground last month and four in Geelong have been torched in six months — arson attacks that got a fraction of the media attention given to the burning of a Geelong mosque (Police say the mosque may have been mistaken for the church this bluestone building originally was).

Bubba Watson’s colorful journey with Christ

February 24, 2016 – by Michael Ashcraft and Mark Ellis of Godreports

He grew up wearing knickers sewn by his grandma, endured the rage of his Vietnam vet father, and learned to play golf smacking a wiffle ball around the house.

Bubba Watson, 37, arguably golf’s most colorful character, won the Los Angeles Riviera tournament Feb. 21, and he credited Jesus and the Bible with the win, his ninth PGA tour victory since 2010.

“I have a lot of fears in my life, which, as I’m reading the Bible, I’m not supposed to have — but I do,” Watson told the New York Times. “Me changing as a person has helped my golf, not my swing.”

It wasn’t too long ago that Watson would lose games in his brain. He struggled with insecurity, melted down after a bad shot, and looked for people to blame when things went wrong. He used curse words and rankled other players with some unfriendliness.

Why the Islamic State’s Ancient Jihadi Tactics “Shock” the West

February 26, 2016 – by Raymond Ibrahim

As Western politicians and other talking heads insist that the Islamic State (“ISIS”) has “nothing whatsoever to do with Islam,” not only does ISIS correctly implement Islamic law—whether by demanding jizya from subjugated Christians or by sexually enslaving “infidel” women—but even the “caliphate’s” arcane jihadi tactics belong to Islam.

Consider a recently exposed “recruitment” tactic of ISIS: abducting, indoctrinating, and beating young children in order to mold them into explosive-vest wearing “martyrs” who hurl themselves onto “infidels”:

The children who managed to escape describe how they were indoctrinated into the jihadi group’s radical brand of Islam and taught that they should execute their “unbeliever” [infidel] parents….  “We weren’t allowed to cry but I would think about my mother, think about her worrying about me and I’d try and cry quietly,” he [an escapee] said…  Some children who managed to escape ISIS and are now living in the refugee camps in northern Iraq, have also been left badly psychologically scarred. The repeated beatings and endless propaganda have meant that some of the escapees wake up in the night with nightmares while others suffer seizures.

All conservatives agree: Stop harassing Christian bakers, florists, and wedding planners

NewsMarriage – Mar 3, 2016

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland, March 3, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – While those who broadly consider themselves part of the “conservative movement” are not united on the definition of marriage, they all agree on one thing: the war on conscience is stifling, intemperate, and must come to an end.

At CPAC, the premier annual conservative political gathering, a panel of experts discussed marriage and the intensifying pressure for Christians to “bend to the will of the state.”

Two of the panelists supported marriage, while two supported the redefinition of marriage.

Guy Benson, the political editor of Townhall.com, who is openly homosexual, said the definition of marriage may not be guaranteed by the Constitution. However, he thinks all states should be required to recognize the marriage licenses issued elsewhere.

UK Christians On Guard Over “Attacks on Religious Freedom We Have Not Seen Since the Days of John Bunyan”

News Staff : Mar 3, 2016 : The Christian Institute

“Every time ministers talk about extremism they seem to want to go much wider than tackling terrorists and their sympathizers. Law-abiding citizens, such as Christians, could be caught by the vague definitions of extremism… these represent an attack on religious freedom and freedom of speech that we have not seen in this country since the days of John Bunyan, more than 300 years ago.” -Colin Hart

(United Kingdom)—Colin Hart, Director of The Christian Institute has warned Christians not to let the Government use the country’s focus on the EU referendum to smuggle through unwanted and draconian laws that could interfere with church youth work and label Christians as “extremists.”

Mr. Hart expressed concern that whilst the media is focused upon the build up to the referendum on 23 June, the Government may try to speed through laws that undermine religious freedom.

Hindu Priest Doubted Jesus Until He Showed Up in a Super Powerful Way

Hindu Priest Doubted Jesus Until He Showed Up in a Super Powerful WayVivian Chou, Mark Ellis : Mar 1, 2016 : God Reports

“I was shocked. I was very afraid. I kept saying, ‘Who is this? What’s happening to me? What’s inside of me running very fast?'” –Kosh Dahal

Nepal)—If 330 million gods and goddesses couldn’t respond to his prayers, Kosh Dahal doubted whether one God like Jesus could do very much. Plus, the Nepalese was a Hindu priest from the highest caste in Nepal, and he didn’t want to submit to a belief system he perceived as having a lower status.

“There was no caste higher than my caste,” he said in a YouTube video. “I didn’t want to mix with the people of the low castes.”

So Dahal repeatedly dismissed a Christian evangelist who showed up day after day to share the Gospel at his veterinary clinic in Kathmandu.

The ‘Risen’ movie: an unbeliever confronts the empty tomb

Feb 22, 2016 – (BreakPoint

February 22, 2016 (BreakPoint) — “Ben Hur,” “The Robe,” “The Ten Commandments,” “Quo Vadis?”—who can forget the golden age of biblical films? But that was the 1950s, and this is 2016.

Biblically based movies these days often comes across as, well, less than inspired. Writers and directors sometimes play fast and loose with the source material, leaving out crucial details and inventing some bizarre stuff. Worse, portrayals of God often come across as flippant or even blasphemous. And that’s just not something I enjoy watching.

Well, I want to urge you to give the genre another chance. Because a film that hit theaters this past weekend proves that swords-and-sandals productions based on the Bible can still hold their own against “Ben Hur.”

“Risen,” directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Joseph Fiennes, is the story of the manhunt for the corpse of Jesus Christ. Spoiler alert: They don’t find it.

Luter, on race relations, sees church as unifier

by Marilyn Stewart –  Thursday, February 18, 2016

NEW ORLEANS (BP) — Race relations issues have not improved since the election of the first African American U.S. president, but the church can lead in modeling reconciliation, said Fred Luter Jr., immediate past president of the Southern Baptist Convention, the first African American to hold the position.

Fred Luter, former SBC president speaking on a Black History Month video, underscored a unity rooted in Jesus Christ. “Regardless of your race, regardless of what side of the track you were born on, regardless of all the things the media and society have tried to do to divide us, we can be one.”

Luter, speaking on a Black History Month video, “Answering the Call” produced by New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, said, “I really thought this nation was ready to move forward” with the historic election of Barack Obama that garnered votes from Anglos as well as diverse ethnic groups.

Aussie family group stands up to LGBT program for 11-year-olds

Feb 17, 2016

AUSTRALIA, February 17, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – An Australian Christian organization is warning school principals to keep out of a federally funded Safe Schools program that is pitched as anti-bullying but is actually promoting premature sexual activity and transgenderism.

The Australian Christian Lobby says many of the 500 principals who have permitted the Safe Schools program into their schools “are probably not aware of what Safe Schools is really promoting and may be unwittingly acting as agents for rainbow activists.”

“We are in a battle for the innocence of our children,” ACL spokesperson Wendy Francis told LifeSiteNews. The program, which was produced by an alliance of homosexual activist groups, is funded to the tune of $8 million by the federal government. All state governments have made it optional for each school, except for Victoria, which will require all schools to teach it by 2017. The state of Victoria provided initial funding for the Safe Schools Coalition.

Che Ahn: “It’s Time for Bob Jones’ Prophesied Billion-Soul Harvest”

Lou Engle with Che Ahn via Facebook, Charisma News)Che Ahn : Feb 16, 2016 : Charisma News

Bob Jones was a crusty, eccentric prophet.

Well before he passed away on Valentine’s Day 2014, Bob gave a prophetic word sharing three signs that would take place before the arrival of a Billion-Soul Harvest.

Back in 1983 in Kansas City, he prophesied:

  • that in America a “morning-after pill” would be invented,
  • that America would legalize same-sex marriage (which was unthinkable at the time), and
  • that a watch would be invented that the laborers working in the rice paddies in China could wear and listen to worship music.

Right now we are in a prophetically unprecedented season, as the second and third signs in Bob’s prophecy took place just last year—most notably with the advent of the Apple Watch.

In this historic season, it’s perfectly clear to me that we are in a time of global harvest.
