Extraordinary Christian leader from the mysterious state of Nagaland to visit the United States

Phughoto Sema with his familySunday, May 29, 2011 -  By Dan Wooding – Founder of ASSIST Ministries

NAGALAND, INDIA (ANS) — A Christian leader from the mysterious land of Nagaland, in north-east India, is to visit the United States in September.

The Rev Tim Phillips who, who has been visiting Nagaland each year since March of 1999, now wants American Christians to know more about the Naga Christians and to even invite this leader to their church.

He is part of the revival that is sweeping this Indian state where 99 percent of the people are said to be Christian

He was talking about the Rev. Phughoto Sema who, Phillips said, “Will be speaking around the country about an amazing project he has undertaken. There is a need for quality schools among the tribal people of north-east India. There is also a need for orphanages for abandoned children. He has a story and a testimony uncommon in our time.”

Rev. Phughoto and his family, Phillips said, have adopted a number of these abandoned children and has plans to build a structure which will house a school, orphanage and shops for local tribal people to sell their handmade products.

MI6 attacks al-Qaeda in ‘Operation Cupcake’

By Duncan Gardham, Security Correspondent BST 02 Jun 2011

British intelligence has hacked into an al-Qaeda online magazine and replaced bomb-making instructions with a recipe for cupcakes.

The cyber-warfare operation was launched by MI6 and GCHQ in an attempt to disrupt efforts by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsular to recruit “lone-wolf” terrorists with a new English-language magazine, the Daily Telegraph understands.

When followers tried to download the 67-page colour magazine, instead of instructions about how to “Make a bomb in the Kitchen of your Mom” by “The AQ Chef” they were greeted with garbled computer code.

The code, which had been inserted into the original magazine by the British intelligence hackers, was actually a web page of recipes for “The Best Cupcakes in America” published by the Ellen DeGeneres chat show.  (more…)

A New Day on the Jersey Shore Following the Will Graham Celebration

Will Graham the grandson of Billy Grahamby BGEA Staff : May 24, 2011 : Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

“The end of the world didn’t happen [Saturday], but Jesus IS returning. None of us know for certain when we will breathe our last breath, and we are all a heartbeat away from eternity. Whether you stand before God on May 21st, or whether you stand before Him 50 years from now, is irrelevant in the scope of eternity. The important thing isn’t when you stand before God; it’s where you stand with God.” -Will Graham

(Ocean Grove, NJ)—A new day dawned on the Jersey Shore this weekend as evangelist Will Graham—accompanied by several top musical artists—presented the good news of Jesus Christ to audiences totaling 13,871 over the three-day event, with 860 responding to Graham’s invitation to make a decision for Jesus.

Leading up to the Celebration many in the area, and around the world, were talking about one man’s claim that Christ would return on Saturday, May 21. When Will Graham heard he would be preaching on the weekend the world was supposed to end, he realized God had given him a unique opportunity to present the truth of the Gospel. “It’s not every day that they predict the end of the world is going to happen while you preach,” Graham said with a laugh. Then, turning serious, he added, “The truth is, we never know when Christ will return. It could be in the next moment.” (more…)

Current Events In Light of Bible Prophecy

By Joel Rosenberg – posted on May 11, 2011

Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39, what Bible scholars describe as the coming “War of Gog & Magog”

Over the next few days, I’ll share with you some of my notes. Today, let’s start by defining who “Gog” and “Magog” are, when this prophecy will take place, and what countries will be participating in the coalition against Israel:

1. The Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel lived in Babylon (Iraq) more than 2,500 years ago and the Lord gave him a vision of events that would take place in the future.

2. Ezekiel 38:16 specifically tells us these events will take place in the “last days” — that is in the End Times before the Messiah comes to set up His kingdom on earth.

3. Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37 set the stage for the “War of Gog and Magog” by describing that Israel will be reborn as a country in the last days, the Jewish people will come back to the Holy Land from exile all over the world, the Jewish people will rebuild the ancient ruins and make the deserts bloom again. These things have all happened, and this suggests we are getting closer to the fulfillment of the next set of prophecies.

Australian billboards claim Jesus for Islam, but could you run a billboard proclaiming “Jesus Christ is Lord” in Saudi Arabia?

Muslim advertising in Sydney, Australia of Jesus as a Prophet of IslamPosted by Marisol on May 28, 2011

No, of course not. Nor could one post anything about Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, atheism, or agnosticism. Why? Because Saudi Arabia is not a free society. Why? Because they enforce Sharia. And Sharia forbids the propagation of non-Islamic faiths or the display of their symbols.

Muslims here are taking advantage of rights to freedom of speech, religion, and conscience that they will destroy where they are able to impose Sharia. Put that on a billboard. “He’s not the son of God, just the support act,” by Aaron Cook for the Sydney Morning Herald, May 28 (thanks to Jack):

Christians in Sydney will have their core beliefs challenged by provocative advertisements due to appear on billboards and buses in the next month.

The ads, paid for by an Islamic group called MyPeace, will carry slogans such as ”Jesus: a prophet of Islam”, ”Holy Quran: the final testament” and ”Muhammad: mercy to mankind”.

A phone number urges people to call to receive a free Koran and other Islamic literature.

The organiser of MyPeace, Diaa Mohamed, said the campaign was intended to educate non-Muslims about Islam. He said Jesus was a prophet of Islam, who was to come before Muhammad. ”The only difference is we say he was a prophet of God, and they say he is God,” Mr Mohamed said. ”Is it thought-provoking? Yes, it is. We want to raise awareness that Islam believes in Jesus Christ,” he said. (more…)

Among Israeli Jews, 20,000 embrace Christ

31st May 2011 – http://www.bpnews.net/

White and blue flags rustled in the breeze, and kebabs sizzled on the grill. Ben Martin gathered the group around and offered a prayer of thanks for the food.

“Thank You for this food. Thank You for this nation. And thank You that after 2,000 years, You haven’t forsaken Israel.”

He hasn’t forsaken it — in fact, Jesus Christ is at work among the Jews more than ever, Martin said.

The crowd at this Israeli Independence Day party was more diverse than one might expect for a get-together celebrating the founding of the Jewish homeland in 1948.

There were Iranian Jews. Iraqi Jews. Russian Jews. American Jews.

Buddhist leader accepts Jesus, Demons flee, Holy Spirit fire falls

Diana (on the right) celebrating her 1st birthday after being raised from the deadPart of the group who went to isreal at the reunionDear family & friends in Christ,

1)We thank and praise Almighty God for another wonderful weekend of meetings in Hallam (Melbourne) where many were mightily touched by the power of the Holy Ghost. On Sunday at the CTFM base the presence of God was so powerful that the meetings somewhat turned into a Holy Ghost riot!

People were dancing, laughing, weeping, and shouting for joy as the presence of God fell so powerfully.  Many were healed, delivered and set free.

One young girl who came to the altar to worship the Lord, she was a born again Christian. As the presence of God soaked the place this girl started manifesting with demons. She was screaming and shouting as Pastor Daniel and some of the CTFM leaders laid hands on her.

Then some of the intercessors took this girl to the prayer room, and after about one hour she was set free from the evil spirits. The girl came up on stage at the end of the meeting and shared her testimony.

Leftist UK author advocates Sharia in the West

by Chris Merritt  – The Australian, May 21, 2002

Useful idiocy and self-delusion. Leftist/Islamic Supremacist Alliance Update: “UK author James Fergusson advocates sharia law in West,”

AFTER championing the cause of the Taliban, British author James Fergusson has found another cause: the need for Western legal systems to incorporate at least some of the principles of sharia.

“Properly and correctly applied, sharia has the potential to be extremely humane and flexible in a way that the common law does not,” he said.

That’s why Sharia states like Saudi Arabia and Iran are so notoriously humane and flexible.

Fergusson was speaking in Sydney, where he was promoting his most recent book, Taliban, at the Sydney Writers Festival.

He believes sharia, like the Taliban, is misunderstood.

Yes, of course. The Taliban didn’t mean to burn down all those girls’ schools. They were just trying to fix the central heating.

Witnessing History in the Making – 500 people respond to an altar call at an outreach conference in Tel Aviv, Israel

Israeli FlagVoice of Judah Ministries – Pastor Israel – 11th May 2011

Shalom Greetings!

Last week we organized an outreach conference with an international evangelist and a friend of Israel, David Hathaway, who has ministered worldwide for over 60 years. This year he celebrated his 50 anniversary since his first ever visit to Israel in 1961. It was a very joyous celebration with the theme: Israel – yesterday, today and forever. He has a big heart and a big passion for Israel and the people of Israel and it was reflected in his message.

Over 700 people attended the 2-day conference. Most of them NON-believers and many of the guests at the conference were an older generation, holocaust survivors and many other Israelis. For most of them it was the first time they had ever heard the gospel of a Jewish Messiah preached to them. Their response was overwhelming!

On the first night more than 300 people responded to the altar call, came forward to receive Yeshua as their Messiah! The second night 200 people also gave their lives to Yeshua. It has exceeded all our expectations! We have never seen such a large number of people in Israel responding to the message of Yeshua.

We saw what a difference our social work makes. The love, patience and help to people does wonders. We thank God that Voice of Judah is a ministry that continuously bears such fruit.

World Christian Doctors Will ‘Vote For Miracles’ during Unique Conference in Brisbane, Australia June 11-12

Dan Wooding (May 12, 2011)

They will be searching for evidence of Divine Healing

(Brisbane, Australia )—Christian doctors and medical professionals will be flooding into Brisbane, Australia, a city that earlier this year was itself devastated by floods, for a unique conference called “Spirituality and Medicine.”

The World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) has announced details of its 8th Annual International Conference to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 11-12, 2011. (WCDN is an interdenominational organization composed of Christian medical professionals from around the world who believe in divine healing.)

“WCDN wants to motivate Christian medical professionals to reflect the love of Jesus Christ and to be a witness for Him in their professional life,” said a spokesperson for the organization.

He went on to say, “Two thirds of medical schools in the US, including Harvard and Johns Hopkins, offer courses on spirituality and faith in their curriculums, largely because patients are demanding more spiritual care. According to a Newsweek poll, 84% of Americans said that praying for others can have a positive effect on their recovery.”

China’s House Churches Begin to Roar

Chinese believersby Rachel Sparkman : May 10, 2011 : China Aid

In an historic move, Chinese house church leaders petition legislature to guarantee freedom of religion.

EDITOR’S NOTE: For dozens of years the world has witnessed the miraculous growth of the underground and house church movement throughout China in the face of grave persecution. Now house church leaders have gained an even stronger boldness as they petition their communist government. For Christians; these are our brothers and sisters-in-the-Lord, let’s remember to be supporting them in prayer. Just maybe we’ll see Chinese governmental leaders’ hearts be softened, not by might, nor by power, but by God’s Spirit. –Aimee Herd, BCN.

(Beijing, China)—In a historic move, clergy from dozens of mainland Chinese house churches are petitioning China’s legislature to guarantee freedom of religion and to peacefully resolve the recent church-state conflict involving one of the largest house churches in the capital, ChinaAid learned on Sunday.

This is the first such move in 60 years of Communist rule of China and represents a further emboldening of the house church movement, which for decades was active only in the countryside, meeting in small groups in private homes and careful to maintain a low profile to avoid attracting government attention to the illegal gatherings.

Middle East Intelligence Report on Israel from Dr Michael Evans

American President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu26-05-2011 – Dr. Michael Evans  – Jerusalem Prayer Team

I’ve been in Washington D.C. for the past few days to give you an inside “behind the scenes” look at what’s going on and to tell you the truth no one else will. What the media is telling you is incomplete and often completely misleading. A declaration of Palestinian statehood would not be merely a symbolic act at the UN. Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak warned his compatriots that a pro-Palestinian, diplomatic tsunami was about to crest. Presently the Palestinians have observer status at the UN, as do the Vatican and the EU. The desire to be a sovereign member is not a pipe dream.

Last year President Obama declared that he hoped the Palestinian state could be admitted to the United Nations by the time world leaders gathered in September in New York City for the annual General Assembly session. A request for membership requires a two-thirds majority to be approved. Today that would mean 128 votes from 192 member states. Presently 112 countries have recognized a sovereign Palestinian state with acceptance to come from more in the next few months provoked by Prime Minister Netanyahu’s response to President Obama’s bold declaration.

The president knows that he could push it through the Security Council, or if the U.S. abstained, it would be passed. President Obama was quite clever when he met with Mr. Netanyahu when he said, “Symbolic actions to isolate Israel at the United Nations in September won’t create an independent state.” In terms of UN membership, he is correct. Chapter two, article 4 of the UN Charter says, “The admission of any such state to membership in the United Nations will be affected by a decision of the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.”
