Eric Metaxas Says Many American Christians Lack True Faith That Only Comes From Being Persecuted

July 09, 2016 – The Christian Post – Samuel Smith

New York Times bestselling author Eric Metaxas says that many Christians in the United States have adopted an “American version of Christianity” and lack a true understanding about what it means to be faithful to God’s word under the threat of persecution.

Metaxas, the author of several books including the recent title If You Can Keep It: The Forgotten Promise of American Liberty, gave a one-hour keynote speech to kick off The Bridge, an annual 3-day conference focusing on the persecuted church hosted by collaboration of groups led by the persecution watchdog group International Christian Concern.

Rick Warren: 7 Attitudes on Racism; Christians Should Have This One

By Anugrah Kumar , Christian Post Contributor – July 24, 2016

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in Southern California addressed racism in his sermon in the wake of the deadly ambush of police officers following the shooting deaths of African Americans, describing seven attitudes to racism and identifying the one which Christians should have.

“Our nation is desperate for healing… and the Church cannot be silent,” Warren told the congregation in a recent sermon he delivered after a shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana left three police officers dead.

The megachurch pastor quoted Titus 2:11: “God has revealed his grace to save the whole human race.”

God has never made a person He doesn’t love, Warren stressed. “Race was God’s idea,” he said. “Racial reconciliation is at the heart of the Gospel.”

3 wonderful nights at CTFM in the presence of God

The only way we can describe the 3 nights of worship is ‘Absolutely Awesome’!

On Friday , Saturday & Sunday many gathered to wait upon the Lord in worship and intercession for our nation and the nations.

Everyone came out to the altar and spent hours in worship over the 3 nights.

The presence of God was so thick you knew that His presence was real.

There was a mighty river of life flowing at the altar as many came and drank from it.

As the worship entered into high praise, people were laughing, some were weeping and others were just dancing.

Book says Hillary talks to dead: First lady acknowledged ‘imaginary’ chats

8/20/2016, by Republican Wildcat

WASHINGTON (CNN) — First lady Hillary Rodham Clinton held imaginary conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Gandhi as a therapeutic release, according to a new book written by Bob Woodward, says a report in Sunday’s edition of The Chicago Sun-Times.

The first lady declined a personal adviser’s suggestion that she address Jesus Christ, however, because it would be “too personal,” according to Woodward’s book, “The Choice.”

The book, which is still to be published, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Clintons, as well as Bob and Elizabeth Dole.

Boko Haram kidnapped 10,000 boys, forced them to become child soldiers

8/15/16 – Mark Ellis at God Reports

The world was horrified when the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram kidnapped 276 schoolgirls from the town of Chibok in 2014. But less coverage has been given to the kidnapping of more than 10,000 boys over the last three years by the terror group and their brutal coercion tactics, forcing children to wage jihad.

The allegations are contained in a stunning investigative report by Drew Hinshaw and Joe Parkinson in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Shortly after the Chibok schoolgirls were seized, Boko Haram attacked six villages in the nearby mountains and rounded up children there, with little media coverage beyond the Nigerian press.

A few months later, the group captured the town of Damasak, and took 300 students, mostly boys, age 7 to 17. The militants imprisoned them in a school, witnesses told the WSJ. Their parents were held in separate rooms. For months, the children were forced to learn the Quran.

Tony Abbott tells UK Tories he believes he can be PM again

October 5, 2016 – Sydney Morning Herald – Latika Bourke

Birmingham: Tony Abbott has told right-wing allies in Britain that he believes he has a reasonable chance of becoming prime minister again, Fairfax Media has learned.

The revelation confirms the former leader is hoping to emulate Kevin Rudd’s 2013 success in returning to the Lodge after being booted out by his own party, and despite Mr Abbott’s public assurances that his leadership is “dead, buried and cremated” and the “Abbott era is over”.

A senior Liberal source close to Mr Abbott said the former prime minister maintained a “good chance” of returning to the job because he is popular with the party membership compared to Malcolm Turnbull.

Gold is Good, but These Rio Olympians say God is #1

August 06, 2016

A glimpse of inspiration and testimony from some of Team USA’s Christian athletes.

There’s nothing like the pomp and prestige of the Olympics Games to raise the stakes for the world’s top athletes. With millions of viewers watching, more than 10,000 will compete in this year’s Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Fans tune in not only for the physical feats, but for stories of triumph. We want to see who achieves the dream of winning gold on a global stage. Competing at this level forces participants to reckon with priorities. Some Christian athletes enter with a perspective that explicitly challenges the idea that Olympic success would be the pinnacle of their lives. Some learn that lesson as they go.

Florida: Orlando jihad mass murderer’s father attends Hillary Clinton rally

August 9, 2016 – by Robert Spencer

Considering the facts that Seddique Mateen has proclaimed that Allah would punish gays, as well as expressing support for the Taliban, his choice of a candidate is interesting.

“Hillary Clinton is good for United States versus Donald Trump, who has no solutions,” he says, when in reality Trump has one famous solution for jihad terrorism: a temporary moratorium on immigration from state with high rates of jihad terror activity.

A supporter of the Taliban, of course, would dislike a solution of that kind. It would interfere with his cherished goals.

Meanwhile, why didn’t the WPTV reporter ask him where his daughter-in-law is?
