(Beijing, China)—The Christian Post reports some of the world’s top athletes are letting it be known that their top priority, above winning a medal at the Olympics this year, is their relationship with Jesus Christ.

One example given is Olympic marathon runner Ryan Hall who said, “When I’m following Christ closely, there’s a contentment and satisfaction in my life that is far greater and longer-enduring than any good race I’ve ever run.” (more…)

A Loaves-And-Fishes Miracle In Cairo

“I am fully convinced that this was a supernatural occurrence. It is something I have believed to see in my ministry and am overjoyed that it happened. It happened in such a way that [my ministry] was not at all associated with it, which left local volunteers and non-Christians marveling at what had happened.”

KFC Bucket(Cairo, Egypt)—Charisma reports that a “loaves and fishes” type miracle is said to have occurred during evangelist Marilyn Hickey’s recent trip to Cairo in which 2,400 meals from Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) apparently appeared out of thin air.

Notes the report: “The reported incident, which if true is a miracle nearly unheard of in modern times, occurred during Hickey’s citywide leaders conference in May, attended by nearly 10,000 pastors and local leaders—from curious Muslims to orthodox Coptic Christians.” (more…)

Franklin Graham Preaches The Gospel In Pyongyang, North Korea

(Pyongyang, North Korea)—Following in the footsteps of his father and mother, Franklin Graham spent time in North Korea this past weekend, bringing the light of the Gospel wherever he traveled.

He was welcomed on Thursday by Korean Christian Federation leaders, Rev. Kang Yong-sop and Ri Jong-ro, at a special dinner in honor of his visit.

After devastating floods last fall caused a major food shortage in the already oppressed country, Graham’s relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, brought $8.3 million in medicine and supplies to North Korea. (more…)

My stand On Catholicism – Pastor Danny Nalliah

Dear family in Christ,

Pastor Danny NalliahRecently I have been asked by a number of believers where I stand in relation to the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope and Roman Catholic doctrine because of entries on the Catch the Fire website.

There are many Born Again believers in the Roman Catholic Church who are saved and going to Heaven, however, what I must clearly say is that they are NOT saved by following the doctrine, traditions and sacraments of Catholicism. Those who are saved, are saved by the grace of God through faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary, nothing more and nothing less.

During World Youth Week, amongst the massive crowd I saw many, many Born Again God loving young people rejoicing together and also many others who were so hungry for more than this world can offer and seeking something. This gives me great hope that our prayers for revival are being answered, may these hungry young people find salvation in Jesus. (more…)

(Iraq)—After meeting with Pope Benedict XVI in Italy, Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri Maliki is urging Christians who fled Iraq to return and help rebuild the country.

According to a BBC report, Maliki said he urged the Pope “to encourage Christians who left the country to go back and be part of the social structure of Iraq again.” (more…)

Myanmar’s Christians Look For Revival In The Midst Of Cyclone Tragedy

Children Praying In MyanmarEven Buddhists are beginning to open their hearts to the Gospel.

(Myanmar)—As the government and military in Myanmar (also known as Burma) is finally beginning to allow other countries, such as the United States, to provide relief and aid to the country’s cyclone victims, God has already been at work.

A CBN video shows orphans praying and praising God for protecting them during Cyclone Nargis’ devastation. They are just one of many stories of survival coming from the storm-ravaged area.

One woman shares how the Lord kept her home from being destroyed by a neighboring church, which had begun swaying in the overpowering winds at midnight. “I prayed to God to send His angels to protect us,” she said. “He gave me the verse in Nahum 1:7-‘The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble for those who trust in Him.’ I believe the angels stretched their big wings to keep the big church from falling in the direction of our house.” (more…)

The Biblical days recorded in the book of the Acts of the Apostles are being reflected in the here and now! Yes… the supernatural acts of the Holy Spirit are happening right now in the 21st century in our backyard in Melbourne! We read in the Bible how the apostles, disciples, and simple believers in Jesus, healed, delivered and set people free by the power of God under the anointing of the Holy Spirit! Many of our forefathers prayerfully longed for such a day of the Spirit’s outpouring in power and glory, and we thank the Lord that He Youth Leading Prayerhas placed His mantle upon our generation to reap His end-time harvest in Australia!

The fruit of this Revival is that many on-fire Christians are now out in the streets and shopping centers sharing their faith in Jesus and praying (in His Name) for those desperately needing His saving, delivering, and healing love in action!  Reports of their testimonies are very exciting and so encouraging;  one man who attends the Revival meetings prayed for a Muslim man at the shops, who had a problem in his hand and he was instantly healed, resulting in this precious Muslim man accepting Jesus as his Saviour! (Colombia, South America)—Wayne and Phyllys Wozniak are missionaries to Colombia, South America. They have shared with Faith News Network the testimony of a pastor known only by the name of “Wilson.”

According to the testimony, due in large part to the fact that Wilson’s father was a Colombian guerrilla, by the time Wilson was 10-years-old, he was also a guerrilla. He lived for violence, crime and murder. (more…)

Number Of Native American Youth Zealous To Set Nations On Fire For Christ Almost “Unheard Of”

Native American Youth“The real story now is young people having been transformed by an encounter with Jesus Christ, now going back to all those reservations and reserves in Native communities across North America. Now these young people are going to be warriors for their generation and their people. They desperately need the prayers of God’s people.”

Summer of Hope 2008 began on July 10 with two teams of Native American and First Nations youth bringing the Gospel of Christ to Native communities all over North America. According to Mission Network News (MNN), about 50 Native youth will travel with On Eagles Wings and Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, after attending training and a Warrior Leadership Summit called “Breaking Free.”

Hutchcraft said the 700 Native Youth that attended the Warrior Leadership Summit was amazing as “such a large gathering of native youth in the name of Jesus Christ is almost unheard of.” (more…)

Messianic Movement In Israel Growing And On “Brink Of A Great Revival”

This past weekend in Melbourne saw another awesome outpouring of the power of God, as the Spirit of the Lord visited with great purpose and impact at the Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance Revival meetings in Hallam. Mightily used of God on Friday and Saturday, Evangelist Tallat Mohamed (once a Muslim, now a born again Spirit-filled Christian Minister of the Gospel) presented Crowd Worshipspowerfully the Word of God with signs following, as hundreds of people received from the anointing of the Lord, being healed, restored, experiencing freedom from ungodly addictions and demonic oppression. Many were tremendously blessed as they encountered the loving-kindness of God the Father!

Pope Calls For Christian Values In The Public Square

World Youth Day in Sydney has seen an unprecedented public proclamation of the Gospel of Christ through the Australian media.

Far from just a call to private faith behind the four walls of a church, this event has like no other, challenged, questioned and confronted secular society with the social claims of the Christian Gospel.

Images of thousands of happy young Christians celebrating against the backdrop of Sydney’s spectacular harbour have been beamed in to living rooms throughout Australia and overseas.

Not only has the Pope exhorted people to turn to Christ for their own individual salvation, but his messages have questioned modern society’s greed, lack of concern for the poor and moral breakdown. (more…)
