Yesterday was the 5th night of the Holy Ghost Revival Outpouring of Healing, Deliverance, and Salvation in Melbourne! Yes it was Monday night, yes people needed to go to school and to work on Tuesday morning, but a spiritually hungry and desperate God seeking people packed the church in Hallam in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, absolutely soaking in the Anointing of the Spirit of God until almost midnight!

Deaf Man who was HealedOnce again the powerful worship led the people into the Father’s Throne Room as the altar was jammed with people losing themselves in the glorious presence of God. It was so thrilling to see people going all out to praise and worship Jesus! As a demon-possessed woman was set free from evil spirits of witchcraft, serpent, false evangelism, false fire, death, and other demons, people started shouting, ‘GO JESUS! GO JESUS GO!’  Glory to God, the woman was weeping at the altar, rejoicing in the freedom she found worshipping at His feet, and ecstatically running around the church in the Delivering Presence of Jesus! FOUNDING EDITOR’S NOTE: I debated whether or not to even link to this MSNBC story. It was well done, but the secular media feels, as is normal, the obligation to post both pro and con arguments toward this revival or any news story, honestly. One can’t blame that approach as they are not there to “fan the flames” for the Church . . . at least not yet. So in order for them to be considered “news,” they have to find someone on most stories who say “My take on this is that it isn’t good.” (words to that effect). So it is with mixed feelings (mostly good) that I post this story. The summary was well written by our own Teresa Neumann with Breaking Christian News. As many of you link to the story from MSNBC, I would encourage the reader to remember what Jesus’ response was when His strange healings were happening and John the Baptist was stuck in prison. “Are you the ONE?” He was asked, “or should we look for another?” Jesus’ response was simple and direct: “. . . Celebrities, Charlatans And The Kingdom Of God

It is both an amazing and a humbling truth that God has for some reason decided that his work in this world would largely be carried out by you and me. He has said that we his people will help to build his Kingdom. Despite our fallen, frail and fickle natures, he has wondrously and mysteriously chosen us to help get the job done.

That is an incredible thought. As Paul puts it in 2 Corinthians 4:7, we have this treasure (the glory of God) in earthen vessels (our own weak and stumbling selves). Imagine the humility and grace of God, to entrust this most vital of tasks to us.

It is almost as if I had a multi-million dollar business deal to stitch together, and I entrusted the whole job to a five-year-old boy. Or as if I must sit a rigorous PhD entrance exam, and I ask a four-year-old girl to take it for me. Or as if I choose to entrust the flying of a 747 to a three-year-old boy. (more…)

Christians Respond To Crisis In Myanmar

As the worst cyclone and natural disaster to hit since the South East Asian tsunami crisis nearly four years ago continues to wreck havoc and bring unspeakable destruction among the people of Myanmar, Christian groups have been mobilized into action, carrying the burden of the Lord to all those in need.

World Vision is providing clean water and other relief supplies in Myanmar.Gospel for Asia (GFA), which has more than 400 churches and over 200 missions scattered throughout the nation, has been among the first groups to respond to the crisis, which has left an estimated 40,000 either dead or missing. The group has temporarily turned their Bible College in the capital of Rangoon into a makeshift shelter for over dozens of people.

Through GFA, dozens of villagers who have lost their homes and all their belongings are now being shown the love of Christ through the careless giving of food, water, and shelter. (more…)
