It’s a Requirement to Have a Bible Verse on Your Vehicle In One City In the Philippines

December 26, 2014CBN News – George Thomas

One city in the Philippines requires that a scripture be painted on the main public transportation method — a three-wheeled motorcycle.

Any driver caught without a Bible verse is fined or has their license revoked. The city wants the world to know how much they love God’s Word.

Smack in the middle of the Philippines, 395 miles south of Manila, lies a tropical paradise dripping with natural beauty.

It’s easy to see why the island province of Bohol is one of the country’s famous tourist destinations.

Mile after mile of pristine white sandy beaches and crystal clear water attracts scores of outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.

Indian MPs protest forced conversions of Muslims and Christians

Ruth Gledhill – 23 December 2014 – Christian Today

Members of the Indian parliament have protested against forced conversions of Muslims and Christians to Hinduism.

Opposition MPs accused the prime minister, Narendra Modi, of failing to stop the conversions. The parliament’s upper house had to adjourn because of the protests.

Conversions are legal in India but must be done without force, fraud or inducement.

The BBC reports that Hindu groups close to Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party had organised several ceremonies in recent weeks. Weeks ago in Agra, more than 50 Muslim families became Hindus. And in Gujarat last weekend, about 100 Christians were reported to have become Hindus.

The groups responsible insist the conversions have been voluntary and argue the converts are merely returning to the faith of their forefathers that their families abandoned centuries before. The conversion ceremonies are called “ghar vapasi”, which means “returning home”.

WATCH: This Muslim’s Story of Converting from Jihad to Jesus Will Blow You Away

It’s a conversion story that matches that of Saul of Tarsus.

Jerry Rassamni was caught in the middle of a religious war in Lebanon, one in which he was fighting against Christianity.

“People were slaughtered because of their religion,” says Jerry Rassamni. “There was so much hatred.”

It was that hatred that fueled him to fight the Jihad—or Muslim Holy War. He says he was addicted to gun powder, had to kill or be killed.

“Christians were abominous, hated, and I really thought they were the devil incarnate,” Rassamni says.

One Hundred Years of Jihad in Australia

by Mark Durie –  Markdurie.com – January 1, 2015

One hundred years ago today, a lethal jihad attack was staged against New Year’s Day picnickers in Broken Hill, Australia. This attack and the recent Martin Place siege, events separated by almost exactly a century, show striking similarities.

For Australians, the anxious question about the Martin Place attack, which has grabbed the attention of everyone, is whether this atrocity is but a harbinger of a further series of deadly attacks on Australian soil, or whether it will pass into memory as an exceptional one-off event, much as the 1915 New Year’s Day massacre in Broken Hill did.

The Broken Hill Massacre

On New Year’s Day, 1915, two Muslim men, Bashda Mahommed Gool and Mullah Abdullah, shot and killed four people and wounded several others before finally being killed by police. They had both come to Australia more than a decade previously.

Beginning in 1860, many Muslim cameleers came to Australia to help open up the arid outback. Today a famous train from Adelaide to Darwin is known as “The Ghan” to commemorate the contribution of the “Afghans” – as they were known (although they came from many different places across the Middle East and South Asia) – to the development of Australia.

The jihad attack was staged against a picnic train which was taking 1200 picnickers out on a New Year’s Day in open ore trucks. Bashda Mahommed Gool and Mullah Abdullah first made enquiries at the station beforehand to make sure they would be in the right place at the right time to attack this particular train. They then positioned themselves on the side of a hill around 30 meters from the tracks, and opened fire as the trucks passed. Among the victims was Alma Cowie, aged 17, shot dead.

NYC Pastor William Devlin Travels to Iraq, Says the ‘American Church Is Addicted to Personal Peace, Comfort, and Affluence’

Pastor William Devlin of Infinity Bible Church in the Bronx borough of New York City, stands with Pastor Hanna Massad in Gaza in this photo shared Sept. 13, 2014, on Facebook.

A New York City pastor traveling with a U.S. Yazidi leader to offer humanitarian assistance to religious minorities targeted by the Islamic State in Iraq believes Christians in America should do more to encourage believers living in some of the world’s most persecuted countries.

The Rev. William Devlin, co-pastor of Infinity Bible Church in the Bronx borough of New York City and a former politician, is as much of an activist as he is a missionary. When the City of New York banned churches and other religious groups in 2011 from renting public schools for worship gatherings, Devlin embarked on a 42-day fast, was arrested in an act of civil disobedience, and publicly confronted then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg during an interfaith breakfast about the city’s decision (which the current mayor has vowed to reverse).

As of late, the 61-year-old evangelical leader has been focused on reaching out to Christians living in persecuted or difficult countries, such as Sudan, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Syria, Iran, and Cuba. Devlin was featured in The Christian Post this past summer after visiting with Sudanese Christian Meriam Ibrahim who had been imprisoned for alleged apostasy.

Salvations & Deliverance as Holy Spirit Fire falls at Australia Day Prayer & Revival meetings with Ps Donnie Swaggart

Dear family & friends in Christ,

What a wonderful weekend it was to see God’s manifest presence at every single meeting and then on Australia Day at the prayer meeting.

Hundreds packed the CTFM auditorium over the weekend to hear the Word of God, with people travelling all the way from Perth, Darwin, Sydney and other places around Australia to soak in the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Ps Donnie preached the Word of God with power and authority as many received a mighty touch from Heaven.

All glory to God for several people who gave their hearts to Jesus during the revival meetings, including a media journalist who was present. Many others were baptised in the Holy Spirit and prayed in tongues for the very first time, as some others received deliverance as Ps Daniel laid hands and prayed for them.

At the Australia Day United Prayer Service, Church leaders from Baptist, Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian, Salvation Army, Messianic Jewish, CRC and other Pentecostal denominations led in prayer for Government, Armed Forces & Emergency services, Youth & Families, Business & Marketplace, Israel, Indigenous people etc.

The worship was absolutely awesome, as the Holy Spirit moved most powerfully.

Many were in tears when we sang ‘The Great South Land of the Holy Spirit’.

Smuggling the Bible Could Get You Killed in This Country

Charisma News – 12/16/2014 Jessilyn Justice

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will impose a death sentence on anyone caught smuggling a Bible, according to HeartCry Missionary.

“In actuality, the new law extends to the importing of all illegal drugs and ‘all publications that have a prejudice to any other religious beliefs other than Islam,'” according to HeartCry’s post. “In other words, anyone who attempts to bring Bibles or gospel literature into the country will have all materials confiscated and be imprisoned and sentenced to death.”

The unconfirmed reports started circulating last month, though WND attempted to contact the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is governed by Sharia law, and the death sentence is just the latest in a string of Islamic-based attacks on Christians, part of a culture of “religious cleansing.”

“Saudi Arabia is continuing the religious cleansing that has always been its official policy,” Nina Shea, director of the Washington-based Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, told foxnews.com earlier this year. “It is the only nation state in the world with the official policy of banning all churches. This is enforced even though there are over 2 million Christian foreign workers in that country. Those victimized are typically poor, from Asian and African countries with weak governments.”

Millions of Dalit Christians In India Forced to Choose Between Their Faith and Government Benefits

December 30, 2014International Christian Concern

The term “Dalit” is a term used in India to describe people from Hinduism’s lowest caste. Forced into poverty for generations from the India’s Caste system, the people from this caste used to be called “Untouchables,” but for the most part, that term died out with the British Empire. Today, an estimated 25 million Dalits across India have converted to Christianity, but are forced to choose between openly out their faith and a government benefit program that gives benefits only to Dalits coming from select religious backgrounds.

This choice has significantly affected the constitutional right India’s citizens have to freely choose a religion for themselves. It also has left millions of Dalits to have to decide between choosing to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior and receiving government benefits that have the ability to take their families out of poverty. All added up, this discrimination has affected the official appearance of India’s religious landscape.

Israel’s ambassador to the UN today delivers a blunt message – Brilliant

November 24, 2014 – ttp://embassies.gov.il/un/statements/Pages/Question-of-Palestine-

Mr. President,

I stand before the world as a proud representative of the State of Israel and the Jewish people. I stand tall before you knowing that truth and morality are on my side.  And yet, I stand here knowing that today in this Assembly, truth will be turned on its head and morality cast aside.

The fact of the matter is that when members of the international community speak about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,  a fog descends to cloud all logic and moral clarity.  The result isn’t realpolitik, its surrealpolitik.

The world’s unrelenting focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is an injustice to tens of millions of victims of tyranny and terrorism in the Middle East.  As we speak, Yazidis, Bahai, Kurds, Christians and Muslims are being executed and expelled by radical extremists at a rate of 1,000 people per month.

How many resolutions did you pass last week to address this crisis?  And how many special sessions did you call for? The answer is zero.  What does this say about international concern for human life?  Not much, but it speaks volumes about the hypocrisy of the international community.

I stand before you to speak the truth.  Of the 300 million Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, less than half a percent are truly free – and they are all citizens of Israel.

Media Release: Is flying our Australian flag on Australia Day a symbol of racism or is it patriotism?? by Daniel Nalliah

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – THURSDAY 22nd JANUARY 2015

The President of Rise Up Australia Party Daniel Nalliah stated this morning from his office in Melbourne,

“As an immigrant from Sri Lanka who now calls Australia Home, when I first saw the Australian flag I just loved it. Every Australia Day I fly our Australian Flag at home and on my car. But most of all, I fly our Australian Flag every day in my heart because I love Australia and will fight to Keep Australia, Australian for the next generation.

I was shocked to read the survey results from the University of Western Australia a couple of years ago (http://www.news.uwa.edu.au/201201234297/research/study-shows-racist-views-link-car-flags) stating that flying the Australian Flag was an act of racism. I know this view is supported by the push for Multiculturalism. For me this is very offensive and at once my instincts are to react by promoting every Australian to fly the flag, not just on Australia Day, but every day of the year.

I called Australia home around 18 years, and if this is what I feel, I wonder how much more offensive it is to every patriotic Australian, especially our diggers who fought for our flag and the relatives of the many who lost their lives.

Multiculturalism has been a great mistake the West has embraced. Today the host countries in the West, such as people living in Australia, are forced to think twice before displaying their flags for fear of being called racist.

Bereaved Israeli and Palestinian parents work together for reconciliation

Monday, December 22, 2014 – by Pat McCarthy – ASSIST News Service

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (ANS) — Although Israeli-Palestinian relations are probably best known for conflict, a group of parents from both sides has spent 20 years working for reconciliation, inspired and united by the common experience of bereavement.

More than 600 families belong to the Parents’ Circle – Families Forum (PCFF) – brought together by the pain they share through losing a close family member in the ongoing conflict.

The grassroots group was initiated in 1995 by Yitzhak Frankental, a Jew, whose firstborn son Arik was abducted and murdered by Hamas militants while he was serving in the Israeli army.

“After Arik was murdered, I understood that I had failed as a father,” he recalled in a newspaper interview. “I had brought a son into the world but he did not live — not because he was sick, but because there was no peace. Because I didn’t do anything to promote peace.”

Mr. Frankental said eyebrows were raised over his conciliatory activity in his religious congregation in Jerusalem, but he never wavered in his religious faith. “My approach to religion,” he said, “is that I worship God, not the other way around. Everything that God does is for the good, even if I do not fully grasp it.”

Arabs and Jews Unite to Proclaim Messiah’s Return

November 26, 2014 – Israel Today  – David Lazarus

A new generation of Arab and Jewish followers of Jesus met together last week to strategize on how to “turn Israel upside down.”

Two hundred and sixty Messianic Jewish and Arab pastors, youth leaders, evangelists, Bible-school teachers and ministry leaders gathered for a three-day council to discuss, study, pray and work together to effectively bring the word of God in power to Arabs and Jews throughout the whole Land of Israel.

These seasoned men and women of faith embody decades of labor proclaiming the Gospel to local Arabs and Jews. Most have given up everything to preach Messiah to their unbelieving Muslim and Jewish families and friends. Despised because of their faith, they have lost jobs, suffered rejection and endured multiple other hardships, yet their passion to bring the Good News to their people remains unquenched.

“We will keep preaching and teaching the Word of God until it changes the people of Israel,” declared one leading pastor. “We must be willing to suffer for the sake of the gospel and keep going no matter what happens. God will accomplish His will through the power of His word.”

The West is under attack by Islamism – How long can you deny it??? Multiculturalism is their gate way / by Ps Daniel Nalliah

Dear friends,

Today the West, and the rest of the world, is under attack on several fronts by Islamism.  This is being carried out not just by Islamic terrorists, but Islam itself is on an onward march to bring about their long term goal of establishing a caliphate across the globe.  Their belief system tells them that all ‘Infidels’ (unbelievers) must convert to Islam or suffer the consequences.

For the past 15 years, I have warned the West in particular that we need to wake up and take a stand against this attack on the freedoms we so value, but unfortunately our secular left-wing media, and many “politically correct” politicians have simply refused to face up to the confronting dangers of Islamism.

Islamist have used the doorway of Multiculturalism to infiltrate Western societies and fight for their rights.  Today the Western world simply does not know how to manage this problem as we have grown a viper in our backyard.

Since the Islamist attacks coming onto our own soil, some are waking from their slumber to acknowledge the brutality of radical Islam.  Yet, sadly many are still totally deceived into believing that Islam can coexist peacefully with our Western way of life under the banner of Multiculturalism.  However, Islamic culture is not compatible with our Western Culture and way of life.

In the past few months, the Islamic Jihadist attacks on the Canadian Parliament, the hostage crisis in Martin Place (Sydney) and now the recent attacks in Paris (France) have been wake up calls for us to recognise that the danger is at the door.

The Islamist agenda functions on several fronts.

1) They use fear and intimidation through attacks on innocent civilians.

2) They use our laws, and law courts, against those who speak out against Islam in order to stifle free speech.

Christians In Egypt Find Healing by Forgiving Those Who Persecute Them

Baptist Press – William Bagsby – September 21, 2014

A year after more than 85 churches and Christian institutions across Egypt were destroyed and burned, and three years after the country’s longest serving president stepped down in the wake of nationwide protests, Christian workers there are finding an openness rarely experienced before.

Some workers noted that forgiveness — along with persistence in sharing the Gospel — shown by local Christians toward Muslims has played a large role in the change.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down after 18 days of nationwide demonstrations during what is now called the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. Since then Egypt has gone through various protests, elections, presidents and the quake of upheaval.

In August last year more than 85 churches and Christian institutions were attacked and burned as a result of demonstrations across Egypt calling for an Islamic state.

Top London CofE school failed to safeguard pupils from Islamic extremism

Richard Garner  – EDUCATION EDITOR – 19 November 2014

One of the country’s most successful inner-city state schools is to be failed by inspectors for neglecting to safeguard its pupils from extremism in an echo of the Birmingham “Trojan Horse” affair.

Sir John Cass’s Foundation and Red Coat Church of England school in Tower Hamlets, east London, will be placed in special measures by the education standards watchdog Ofsted for failing to monitor the activities of an Islamic society set up by sixth-formers at the school.

In particular, a Facebook site set up by the society contained links to hard-line Islamist preachers – a move which could have made pupils vulnerable to radicalisation. The society also set up its own YouTube channel which was not monitored.

According to Ofsted, that constituted a failure to safeguard the pupils – a breach for which it had to be placed in special measures. It is the first school outside of Birmingham to be failed on such a safeguarding issue.

The school is also criticised for allowing segregation between boys and girls in the playground.
