Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao defends natural marriage, gets pummelled by Western press

Feb 16, 2016

MANILA, Philippines, February 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Eight-time world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is the target of a Western newsmedia blitz misquoting him as having said that homosexuals were “worse than animals.”

In his homeland Philippines, Pacquiao is a hugely popular sports figure for winning world boxing titles in eight weight classifications, climaxing with the welterweight championship in 2014. In training for a comeback match in the U.S. in May after losing his title last year, a member of the Philippines House of Representative now campaigning for a Senate seat, and born-again Christian, he is now facing “a storm” of criticism, according to British and American news media, for comments on same-sex “marriage.”

“It’s common sense,” the boxer replied to a reporter’s query. “Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve male on male, female on female then man is worse than animals.”

It’s a Requirement to Have a Bible Verse on Your Vehicle In One City In the Philippines

December 26, 2014CBN News – George Thomas

One city in the Philippines requires that a scripture be painted on the main public transportation method — a three-wheeled motorcycle.

Any driver caught without a Bible verse is fined or has their license revoked. The city wants the world to know how much they love God’s Word.

Smack in the middle of the Philippines, 395 miles south of Manila, lies a tropical paradise dripping with natural beauty.

It’s easy to see why the island province of Bohol is one of the country’s famous tourist destinations.

Mile after mile of pristine white sandy beaches and crystal clear water attracts scores of outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.

Tim Tebow announces opening of children’s hospital in Philippines

December 30, 2014 – Assist News Service – Mark Ellis and Michael Ashcraft

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (ANS) — Philippines-born Tim Tebow, famous for taking a knee and praying mid-game as an NFL quarterback, has now made a touchdown pass off the gridiron: a pediatric hospital under his tutelage opened for business this Christmas.

“I have always had a great love and passion for the Filipino people,” Tebow said in a statement. “It is so exciting to be able to provide healing and care for these incredibly deserving children halfway around the world.”

In the Fall of 2011, Tebow joined forces with CURE International to build a 30-bed orthopedic hospital in Davao City. His Tebow foundation helped raise the $3 million to fund construction and staffing.

While health services began last week, the official grand opening won’t be until spring of 2015. A 5-story building, the Tebow CURE Hospital will treat clubfoot, bowed legs, cleft palate and other congenital limb abnormalities among impoverished Filipinos who otherwise would not receive any treatment.

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult; it is a complete system

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond’s book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called “religious rights.”

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to “the reasonable” Muslim demands for their “religious rights,” they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States — Muslim 1.0%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1%-2%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%

(Central Philippines)—Some help is arriving for those devastated by last week’s Typhoon Haiyan which slammed the central islands of the Philippines, but more help is desperately needed. The huge storm tore apart whole cities and left at least 1,774 confirmed dead so far, though officials fear the death count could rise to around 10,000.

As survivors of Typhoon Haiyan wait and plead for assistance after being overwhelmed by the massive storm surge; accounts of heroism and a “miracle” baby’s birth bring a glimmer of hope into the horrendous scene.

According to the SkyNews report, 21-year-old Emily Ortega—also eight months pregnant—had evacuated to a shelter when the typhoon slammed into her city of Tacloban, flooding it.

Clinging to a post, Emily was able to survive the surging water, and eventually she reached “relative” safety in the airport, receiving help from a military doctor there. Emily told officials how eleven of her family members, including two daughters, had reportedly “vanished” in the storm, which may have triggered her labor.

Indonesia to host Miss World despite Muslim council objection

The Sundaily – Posted on 27 August 2013

JAKARTA – The Miss World beauty pageant will go ahead in Indonesia next month despite objections from the country’s leading Islamic federation, an organizer said Tuesday.

“We have obtained support from the government so there are no obstacles,” said Syafril Nasution, corporate affairs director for RCTI, the organizer and official broadcaster of the event.

“Since the beginning, we have made it clear that the event will not feature bikinis, or make use of anything that is against religious and cultural values,” he said.

“So we don’t really understand why there are still objections.”

Amidhan Sabrah, chairman of the Indonesian Council of Ulema, said it was opposed to the event because it objectified women.

“This kind of events turn women into a commodity and that is against Islam,” he said.
