Christians ‘not vilified’ by Islamic billboards says Australian Advertising Standards Bureau

Christians ‘not vilified’ by Islamic billboards says Australian Advertising Standards Bureau
But that doesn’t satisfy one Christian who says that they are ‘a willful abuse of our freedom of speech and democratic values’

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (ANS) — Proclaiming Jesus to be “a prophet of Islam” on billboards in Australia is a statement of belief and does not discriminate against or vilify Christians, the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) there has found.

The row erupted in late May, when signs were placed on billboards in major Sydney roads, specifically chosen for maximum exposure. Organized and privately funded by an Islamic group called “MyPeace” the billboards advertise Muslim beliefs, including a claim that has upset the Christian community – that Jesus, like Mohamed, was a prophet of Islam.

A Pathologist Puts Divine Healing Under the Microscope

By Dan Wooding – Founder of ASSIST Ministries – Friday, June 10, 2011

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA (ANS) — Dr. Fidel Cholo Fernandez, a 57-year-old pathologist from the city of Zamboanga in the Philippines, spends his days studying diseases under the microscope, but he also is a believer in divine healing.

Fernandez is one of more than 220 doctors, scientists and medical professionals from 30 countries who are gathered in Brisbane, a city that earlier this year was devastated by floods, to participate in the 8th World Christian Doctors Network “Spirituality and Medicine” conference.

Held on June 11-12, 2010, the medics — many of whom pray for their patients as well as giving them more usual treatment — to explore whether miracles still happen today and, if they do, to provide medical data to prove them.

The doctor’s believe that all “miracles” should be provable by data, and so they are giving case studios that are presented with the data flashed on large screens in the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Philippines-born doctor told me about a particular healing — the story of a Korea Christian called Deacon Han who had been diagnosed with early gastric cancer following an endoscopic study on September, 2002. (more…)

‘Back from the Dead’ – A doctor brings an amazing report during Brisbane medical conference

A doctor brings an amazing report during Brisbane medical conference

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA (ANS) — A Christian group of doctors and medical professionals listened in shocked amazement as one of their own told the incredible story of how he came back from the dead.

He was Dr. Sean Thomas George, an Indian born doctor who is now a consultant physician in a West Australian hospital and he told his extraordinary story before more than 220 Christian medics on the first day of the 8th Annual International Christian Medical Conference called “Spirituality and Medicine” being held June 11-12, 2011 in Brisbane, Australia.

“I was dead for 1 hour and 25 minutes, but came back to life after my wife prayed a simple prayer,” said Dr. George, who provided all kinds of medical data that put on a large screen for the other doctors to check out.
He said that it on October 24, 2008, he returned from the dead to amaze colleagues who had battled for almost 55 minutes to revive his lifeless heart.

Zimbabwe: Anglicans evicted from churches and homes

Religious Liberty Prayer Bulletin  – Special to ASSIST News Service  – By Elizabeth Kendal – Wednesday, June 8, 2011

A call to pray for the church in Zimbabwe

AUSTRALIA (ANS) — RLPB 110 on Zimbabwe was issued last Wednesday 1 June after news emerged that churches were facing escalating levels of political violence (see also Religious Liberty Monitoring). This political violence is doubtless intended to inject fear into the churches and to silence them ahead of what are likely to be rigged elections. The regime aims to force the churches to adopt a position of compliant subjugation if they want to survive. On 2 June the Bishop of Harare, the Rt Rev Chad Gandiya, issued an urgent appeal for prayer, detailing more persecution.

On Sunday 29 May a priest belonging to the pro-Mugabe faction (led by excommunicated bishop Nolbert Kunonga) broke into the home of the Rev Charles Muzanenhamo, an Anglican priest in the Mubayira area of Mhondoro. Muzanenhamo was away visiting rural parishes at the time. When Bishop Gandiya alerted Muzanenhamo he returned home immediately and expelled the intruder. However, when the police subsequently arrived they arrested the pastor, charging him with assault. Muzanenhamo had to spend the night in detention before the bishop could bail him out. That same evening, a newly ordained deacon, Noel Magaya, was also illegally and forcibly evicted from his home-church. Once again, when the police arrived they sided with Kunonga’s criminals. On 30 May when Rev Julius Zimbudzana tried to notify the police about Magaya’s eviction they refused to open a docket, so officially the incident never happened.

Traditional, pro-family Anglicans lose churches in Canada

Historic St John\'s Anglican Church in CanadaBY THADDEUS BAKLINSKI – Jun 20, 2011

One of the churches affected by the Supreme Court’s decision is the historic St. John’s in the upscale neighborhood of Shaughnessy in Vancouver.

VANCOUVER, June 20, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Supreme Court of Canada said last Thursday that it will not hear an appeal by a group of traditional Anglican parishes in British Columbia that had been threatened with the loss of their churches after they broke away from the Anglican Church of Canada (ACoC) due to its endorsement of homosexuality.

In November 2009, Mr. Justice Stephen Kelleher of the British Columbia Supreme Court issued a decision saying that the four parishes in the Vancouver area may not keep their buildings if they remove themselves from the jurisdiction of the ACoC.

The four parishes in question, including historic St. John’s in the upscale neighborhood of Shaughnessy in Vancouver, had voted in 2008 to disassociate from the Anglican Church of Canada and join the Anglican Network in Canada (ANiC), a recognized separate diocese in the Worldwide Anglican Communion affiliated with the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone.

The Dark World of the Arab Child Slave Trade

Arab child slave tradeIn a story last week in the British newspaper The Sun, a private investigator stated that Madeleine McCann, the subject of probably the world’s most famous unsolved kidnapping case, is in the United States. The British girl was three years old when she went missing five years ago from a seaside resort in Portugal, where her parents were vacationing. The Portuguese police, in what has been termed a “bungled investigation,” at first accused the parents of the abduction but later cleared them. Portuguese security officials halted their investigation to find the missing child in 2008 after stating she had probably been “stolen to order.”

Since her disappearance, numerous alleged sightings have been made of the little girl across Europe, Africa, in North America and in Australia. The investigator making the latest claim concerning McCann’s whereabouts is an amateur sleuth originally from Angola. He told The Sun that a Portuguese pedophile ring, also responsible for other child abductions, took the McCann girl and has handed his findings over to authorities. The claim that a pedophile ring is responsible for McCann’s disappearance has been made before, especially concerning one in Belgium. And while Madeleine McCann girl may have very well been snatched by such evil hands, it is surprising that an equally depraved institution — one of gigantic size — has never even been considered by investigators or the media as McCann’s possible kidnapper: namely, the Arab child slave trade.

Wilders Acquittal May Signal the Turn of the Tide

Geert Wilders looks like next Dutch Prime Ministerby Amiel Ungar – IsraelNationalNews.com

The acquittal of the embattled Dutch politician Geert Wilders may mark the turn of the tide in terms of European permissiveness towards Islamist immigrants who would destroy Dutch culture from within.

One can say that the trial was a win-win situation for Wilders, as the prosecution itself believed that he should be acquitted and stated so. Obviously Wilders is correct in saying “an enormous burden has fallen from my shoulders.” Even when one believes in one’s innocence and is certain of vindication, the postion of defendant is an unpleasant one.

Wilders, however, received a good deal of compensation. First of all the trial was nationally televised, including Wilders’ summation speech in which he compared himself to the Dutch martyrs and to Martin Luther’s defiance of papal supremacy:

Every day the armoured cars [Wilders faces death threats from Moslems – ed.] drive me past the statue of Johan de Witt at the Hofvijver in The Hague. De Witt wrote the “Manifesto of True Freedom” and he paid for freedom with his life. Every day I go to my office through the Binnenhof where Johan van Oldenbarneveldt was beheaded after a political trial. Leaning on his stick the elderly Oldenbarneveldt addressed his last words to his people. He said: “I have acted honourably and piously as a good patriot.” Those words are also mine. (more…)

NEW AUSTRALIAN POLITICAL PARTY FORMED TO PROTECT AUSTRALIAN FREEDOMS

Rise Up Australia Political Party LogoMedia Release

The announcement of a new political party will be made on the steps of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal building at noon on Wednesday June 22nd, by Dr Daniel Nalliah. This date marks the fourth anniversary of an historic victory for freedom of speech in Australia, after a complaint in 2002 by the Islamic Council of Victoria against Dr Nalliah, which resulted in a five year court battle. Dr Nalliah will also be observing a minutes silence during his address, in respect for the Australian diggers who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms in Australia.

Dr Nalliah said the Party was formed to protect Freedom of Speech, other Freedoms and the erosion of Christian values in Australia, as a balance for the  left wing agenda and to stem the tide of divisive forces associated with multi-culturalism. He said the newly formed Party was committed to keeping the Australian way of life strong.

Dr Nalliah said “It is with great joy that we announce the formation of this new political party, a party for all people who embrace Australia as home. This Party is totally committed to protecting the Australian way of life and our Christian heritage upon which Australia was founded. While acknowledging some positive aspects of multiculturalism, Dr Nalliah said there had been an overwhelming amount of negativity and division  stemming from multiculturalism, and cited Europe as an example of how it has led to violent ethnic enclaves. The leaders of both Germany and the UK have recently made statements denouncing multiculturalism as a failure.”

The recent outburst in Sydney against a NSW police officer by a Muslim woman wearing the burqa, and the subsequent decision by the court of appeal to clear her on the grounds that she could not be identified, is a striking example of the failure of multiculturalism in our nation of Australia. The violence demonstrated outside the courts against the media by Muslim supporters of this woman is a real mockery to the Australian way of life, justice and peace. Furthermore, it prevents the ability for our police force to enforce law and order.

Rise Up Australia Party (Keep Australia Australian) Your Voice to Protect our Nation in Parliament / by Rev Dr Daniel Nalliah

A part of the RUA Party National ExecutiveRev Dr Daniel NalliahDear fellow Australians,

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce the formation of a new political party, RISE UP AUSTRALIA PARTY (Keep Australia Australian) a party for all people who embrace Australia as home. This Party is totally committed to protecting the Australian way of life and our Judeo-Christian Heritage upon which Australia was founded.

Please take some time to read this whole email and if you agree with what we stand for, we would greatly appreciate your feedback and support in any way possible.

Could you also please forward this article to everyone you know. Rise Up Australia Party is for all people who call Australia home.

As Chairman of Rise Up Australia Party I assure you that we on the Board of Directors are totally comRise Up Australiamitted to the protecting of Australia from Multiculturalism. We have all seen the negative effects of Multiculturalism in Europe. Recently the leaders of Germany and the UK have stated clearly that Multiculturalism has failed. Rather than uniting the country under one flag, it has had the completely opposite effect. Multiculturalism has actually divided their nations, and has let people build ethnic enclaves within their countries.

Turkey to Embrace Its Christian Heritage

Church in Turkeyby Teresa Neumann : May 10, 2011 : Susanne Gusten – The New York Times

Pilgrims have already begun pouring in, on the last leg of a tour through the sites of the seven Biblical churches, all of which are in western Turkey. Tourism to the site increased tenfold in the first months of this year, to 1,000 visitors a day.

(Alasehir, Turkey)—Turkey is cultivating its image as “a meeting-point and arbiter of civilization” by discovering and restoring historical Christian sites. Hopefully, officials say, they trust Christians will feel free to make pilgrimages and pray at many of the sites. (Photo: Ibrahim Usta/Associated Press)

As reported in the New York Times, the sites are not only historically fascinating, they are myriad. In addition to Biblically-known locations, such as Laodicea and Ephesus, there are also towns such as Iznik, the site of Nicaea, where two of the seven Ecumenical Councils were held.
