“The Day I Died”—The Dramatic “Death” and Recovery of Pro-Life Activist Melanie Pritchard

Teresa Neumann/Peter Baklinski : Oct 12, 2011 : LifeSiteNews

“If He can wake me from the dead, He can make your eyes brand new, He can make your heart complete, He can change lives in a heartbeat if we are just a little open to walk under His direction.” -Melanie Pritchard

(Phoenix, AZ)—Melanie Pritchard, a well known pro-life and pro-family activist, went into labor on July 28th, 2010, but little did she know her ensuing ordeal would nearly kill her and her child. When Melanie’s—the baby’s—heart-rate and blood pressure plummeted drastically, her husband Doug began requesting prayer. The world-wide response was incredible, with Believers around the world storming “Heaven for a miracle.”

Her daughter, Gabriella was born healthy, but Melanie had reportedly been clinically dead for 10 minutes before finally being resuscitated. She had suffered an “amniotic fluid embolism” and had lost copious amounts of blood. The prognosis was dire.

Reporter Peter Baklinski with LifeSiteNews continues: “With her catastrophic hemorrhaging, three back-to-back emergency major surgeries, heart and lung failure, and possible brain damage, the odds were overwhelmingly stacked against Melanie. The doctors gave her a zero percent chance of survival. Doug was told to say ‘goodbye’ to the love of his life.

Amazing Church Growth in South Korea

Dan Wooding : Oct 12, 2011 : Assist News

“We have those at our church who are preparing to take the Gospel into North Korea which I believe will soon open up, but possibly just for a short time. These people realize that the door may not be open for long and they are willing to lay down their lives—become martyrs—for Jesus Christ.” -Dr. Jaerock Lee

(Seoul, South Korea)—The church began in 1982 with 13 members and, even by Korean standards, it has experienced amazing growth.

Manmin—it means “all people”—Central Church in Seoul, has grown to 100,000 members and has over 9,000 branch churches around the world, two television networks (which will soon merge) and a full-time professional orchestra.

This past weekend, members celebrated the 29th anniversary of the church.

The various anniversary celebrations began with an almost “all-night service” on Friday, October 7, 2011, which started at 11:00 PM and finished at 4:00 AM the next morning, with a short break part way through.

It featured more than 400 singers, colorful dancers and musicians plus the Nissi Orchestra and a large church choir who, between them, produced a dazzling display of multi-media worship presentations whose productions standards were the highest I have ever seen in a church anywhere in the world.

‘I would do it again 100 times’: Muslim father ‘murdered his THREE daughters in honour killing for dating wrong boys

A Muslim father charged with murdering his three daughters in apparent honour killings has said he would do it again – even if they came back to life 100 times.

Mohammad Shafia, 58, cursed his daughters Zainab, 19, Sahar, 17, and Geeti, 13, saying they were ‘treacherous’ as he likened them to prostitutes during a conversation that was recorded by police.

He is on trial for their murders after they were found dead in the family car along with Shafia’s first wife, Rona Amir, 50, in the Rideau Canal, located in the Kingston area of Ontario in Canada in 2009.

Initially police thought the family had been involved in an accident and Shafia told them during an interview that he didn’t know where they were.

However, his version of accounts did not add up and he was arrested and charged with their murder.

Shafia, who moved to Canada from Afghanistan with his family, is polygamous and after his arrest was heard telling his second wife, Tooba Yahya, that their daughters had brought shame on the family. He said: ‘Even if, God forbid, they hoist us on to the gallows… we accept it wholeheartedly’, a day after his arrest.

The court heard the recordings in which Shafia talks about his daughters and the fact that they were dating while ranting about the family’s honour.

Communist Leader Raised from the Dead / 1 Million Salvations Every Month – Revival in China / Brother Yun at CTFM Melbourne on 27/11/11

Dear family & friends in Christ,

1) We at Catch The Fire were absolutely blessed last Sunday as we heard the powerful testimonies shared by the team which came from the Underground Church in China and the Back to Jerusalem Movement!

Although Brother Yun was not permitted to board his flight from Bangkok to Melbourne, due to a problem with his documentation, and was therefore unable to be at the meetings at CTFM, the Spirit of God moved most powerfully through Uncle Tang (Bro Yun’s Pastor), who has served the Lord for 30 years in China and still is!

The CTFM base was absolutely packed out for both services with around 750 people attending in total. The church sanctuary was so full we that we had to use the overflow room with projector screens. The people who gathered were mightily blessed through the amazing testimonies of what the Lord Jesus Christ is doing in the Underground Church in China.

Brother Yun is now expected to arrive this week in Melbourne and we prayerfully hope to have him minister at CTFM in Hallam (Melbourne)on Sunday 27th of Nov 2011 at the 9.30am service only. Please stay tuned in to CTFM email for updates and further details.

It was so exciting to hear that only around 30-40 years ago the Church in China was severely persecuted and quite small. However, as the faithful Christian believers cried out to the Lord, He heard their cry and sent a mighty Holy Spirit revival!

Uncle Tang said, “Suddenly one day, miracles started happening everywhere and thousands of people were getting saved.” Now, it is estimated that more than 30,000 people come to Jesus every day and 1 million people every month! Glory to God. They believe that the current conservative estimate of on-fire Christians in China is around 150 million people!

The moment man was publicly beheaded in a Saudi Arabian car park for being a ‘sorcerer’

By Oliver Pickup – 31st October 2011

Shocking footage has surfaced of a Sudanese man being publicly beheaded in Saudi Arabia for being a ‘sorcerer’.

Crouched on his knees and blindfolded, Abdul Hamid Bin Hussain Bin Moustafa al-Fakki was executed in a car park Medina, in the west of the country, as dozens looked on last month.

The grainy footage – which MailOnline believes is too graphic to publish – shows the executioner lining his sword up on the back of Abdul Hamid’s neck, before one swift stroke decapitates him.

The Sudanese man, who was killed on September 20, is believed to have been the 44th person executed in Saudi Arabia this year – and the 11th foreign national.

The total for 2011 is 17 more than for the whole of 2010.

Does the Crucifix ‘Provoke’ Muslims?

Posted by Raymond Ibrahim Bio ? on Nov 4th, 2011

For a religion that is perpetually “misunderstood,” the consistency of Islam is remarkable. Consider how ostensibly diverse issues—complaints of “human rights” abuses at an American university and murder in an Egyptian classroom—are interconnected.t

First, the American story.  According to Fox News:

The Washington, D.C. Office of Human Rights confirmed that it is investigating allegations that Catholic University of America [CUA] violated the human rights of Muslim students by not allowing them to form a Muslim student group and by not providing them rooms without Christian symbols for their daily prayers.  The investigation alleges that Muslim students “must perform their prayers surrounded by symbols of Catholicism – e.g., a wooden crucifix, paintings of Jesus, pictures of priests and theologians which many Muslim students find inappropriate.”

Behind the complaint is John F. Banzhaf III, a George Washington University professor whose website boasts that his “enemies” call him a “Legal-Terrorist” and “the Osama bin Laden of Torts.”  He asserts that Muslim students are “particularly offended” because they have to “meditate” at the school’s chapels and cathedral, where they pray while “having to stare up and be looked down upon by a cross of Jesus.”

Of course, as a private Christian institution, even Banzhaf admits “that it is technically not illegal for Catholic University to refuse to provide rooms devoid of religious icons.”  Still, according to this so-called “Legal-Terrorist,” that CUA refuses to compromise its Catholic image “suggests they are acting improperly and probably with malice.”

Gingrich Says ‘Arab Spring’ is Really ‘Anti-Christian’ Spring

By Stephanie Samuel | Christian Post Reporter – Politics  Mon, Oct. 31 2011

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said the Arab Spring and the Muslim campaign against Catholic University are symptoms of a growing anti-Christian climate, and pledged to defend religious freedom around the globe.

Speaking at a South Carolina fundraiser Saturday, Gingrich criticized the Obama administration’s involvement in the Arab Spring – the Middle East grassroots uprising that has overthrown longstanding authoritarian leaders such as Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak – arguing that such involvement is creating an atmosphere of hatred towards Christians.

“People say, ‘Oh isn’t this great, we’re having an Arab Spring,’” he said. “I think we may in fact be having an anti-Christian spring. I think people should take this [assertion] pretty soberly.”

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom’s 2011 report states that while “the Egyptian government engage in and tolerated religious freedom violations” before Mubarak stepped down in February, sectarian violence targeting Coptic Christians have grown unchecked following the Arab Spring. The transitional government, the report noted, “has failed to protect religious minorities … during the transitional period when minority communities are increasing vulnerable.”

What Kind of People We Ought to Be?

Franklin GrahamFriday, 15 July 2011 – Franklin Graham News – Featured News

There has been a lot of speculation about the end times lately, especially in light of recent storms. I saw first hand the devastation and carnage that accompanied the fierce, deadly tornadoes that swept across the South and the Midwest this spring.

I’ve seen lots of disasters in my lifetime, but the scenes that I witnessed in Alabama and Missouri were among the most horrific I’ve encountered anywhere.

Many are asking if the seemingly growing numbers of such catastrophes could be an indication that the return of Christ is drawing nearer. Jesus said that such tragedies—in addition to wars and persecution—are indeed the “beginning of birth pains” (Matthew 24:8), and these certainly appear to be increasing in frequency and intensity.

Just a few months ago, the owner of a Christian radio network forecast that May 21 would be “Judgment Day” for the world. I was amazed at the extensive national coverage given to this prediction, even though the Bible says that only the Father in Heaven knows the exact date of the Savior’s return. It was hard to view a news program or read a newspaper without a prominent reference to this event.

While I’m grateful that there has been some renewed discussion given to the return of the King, I’m afraid that such a superficial focus can divert our attention from the primary thrust of Scripture regarding His coming—are we living holy, godly lives on earth, diligently waiting and working until He comes? Fire in My Bones

Wednesday, 27 July 2011 – J. Lee Grady Newsletters – Fire In My Bones

Many Christians today can’t distinguish between the sweat of the flesh and the dew of heaven.

Gideon is one of my favorite Bible characters because I relate to his struggle with inferiority. God pulled this runt of a guy out of a hole in the ground and called him to deliver Israel. Gideon’s classic “Who, me?” response reminds me of conversations I’ve had with the Lord. None of us feels qualified to do God’s work, but we know from Gideon’s example that reluctant wimps can be transformed into valiant warriors.

I’ve heard people criticize Gideon because he laid out a fleece of wool on the ground and asked the Lord—not once but twice—to confirm His promise (see Judges 6:36-40). But the Bible doesn’t say God was mad at Gideon for wanting assurance. In fact, God answered Gideon both times with moisture from heaven. The dew was a sign of God’s favor and blessing.

“I love it when the Holy Spirit does miracles. But when people fake the supernatural in order to get an audience response (or a big offering), I run for the door.” (more…)

Dozens of ‘incubators’ for jihad found in U.S. ‘More than 80% of mosques advocate or promote violence’

June 08, 2011 – By Bob Unruh © 2011 WND

Dozens of mosques around the United States have been identified in a new study as incubators for jihad against America, with more than 80 percent of those surveyed advocating violence.

“Of the 100 mosques surveyed, 51 percent had texts on-site rated as severely advocating violence; 30 percent had texts rated as moderately advocating violence; and 19 percent had no violent texts at all,” said the survey compiled by Mordechai Kedar and David Yerushalmi and published by the Middle East Quarterly.
“How’s this for a wake-up call?” asked Frank Gaffney, chief of the Center for Security Policy in a commentary today in the Washington Times.

Find out what’s planned for you, in “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America,” autographed, from WND’s Superstore.

“America’s most cherished civil liberties and the Constitution that enshrines them are enabling Muslim Brotherhood operatives and other Islamists who have the declared mission of destroying our freedoms and government ‘from within … by [our] hands.’ Specifically, our enemies are using our tolerance of religion to create an infrastructure of mosques here that incubate the Islamic holy war called jihad.”

Let’s thank those who dragged Geert Wilders into court

The German site Politically Incorrect has an excellent commentary on the acquittal of Geert Wilders on Sharia-inspired “hate speech” charges: “A Historic Victory for Freedom!,” by Frank Furter, translated by Anders Denken:

Dear PI Community,

We finally made it! The movement for Islam criticism is celebrating a great, and even historic, victory. Let’s thank those who dragged Geert Wilders into court. Those who were recruited primarily by various Muslim organizations were holding a gun to the heart of the Dutch judiciary. And the judges had to decide which values, which rights and which law was to apply in the Netherlands. Is it that law that is written down in the constitution of their land? Or that law that is gaining entry into the West with the influx of Muslims? They decided for Western law. Anything else would have been scandalous and would have forced the question of whether our Western ideas concerning law and order were only a collection of empty phrases.

The trial against Geert Wilders clearly brought to light just how greatly Western and Islamic values differ from each other. The supporters of multicultural society believe that all cultures lend themselves to combining into a flourishing society of diversity. On the surface, this seems to function where culture overflows in tradition and folklore. However, at the roots of a culture is more than just the question of what one should wear, eat and celebrate, and when, where and how. At their roots, cultures open up to the elementary questions of what one may do and not do, what is permitted and what is forbidden, what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil.

Father Zakaria Botros, also known as Islam’s “Public Enemy #1,” is back.

Posted by Raymond Ibrahim on Jul 22nd, 2011

FromFather Zakaria Botros around 2005-2010, this 76 year-old Coptic priest was Islam’s bane. Appearing weekly on Arabic satellite, where he was viewed by an estimated 60 million people worldwide, mostly Muslims, he meticulously exposed any number of theological problems with Islam—all from Islam’s own books—while simultaneously evangelizing from his own book, the Bible.

His mission “is to attack Islam, not to attack Muslims but to save them because they are deceived. As I love Muslims, I hate Islam.”

And he has been effective: Mass conversions to Christianity, open and clandestine, have resulted. Indeed, years back al-Jazeera aired a segment complaining about Fr. Zakaria’s “unprecedented evangelical raid” on the Muslim world; similarly, one Sheikh Ahmad al-Qatani lamented that as many as six million Muslims annually “apostatize” to Christianity.

Unsurprisingly, Fr. Zakaria’s exploits caused al-Qaeda to proclaim him “one of the most wanted infidels in the world,” putting a $60 million bounty on his head; undeterred, the priest kept going, his viewers and converts multiplying by the week. (more…)
