As West Moves Toward Secularism and Irrelevance, Africa and Asia Embrace Christianity

By Isaiah Narciso  Jun 06, 2015

Christianity’s stronghold was historically based in the United States and Europe. However, while many in the West embrace secular values at their own peril, countries in Africa and Asia have become to embrace Christianity.

According to Dr. Susan Berry of Breitbart, the church is thriving in Africa and Asia while its decline continues in the U.S. and many parts of Europe. John L. Allen Jr. of Crux reported back in October 2014 on that shift.

“[African bishops] no longer regard themselves as junior partners in Catholicism Inc.,” Allen wrote. “This time, they’re ready for the board room.”

Allen observed that when liberal German bishops tried to push their agenda, including a “more compassionate tone overall on sexual morality” and a more permissive position on “giving Communion to Catholics who divorce and remarry outside the Church,” the African bishops pushed back hard on those concepts.

The Fall of Constantinople and Islam’s Treatment of Christians

The Fall of Constantinople and Islam’s Treatment of ChristiansJune 4, 2015 – Ralph Sidway

May 29 was the anniversary of the conquering and desolation of the great Christian city of Constantinople by the forces of Islam in 1453. The below historical descriptions of the pillaging and destruction by the Muslim invaders is remarkable for its similarity to the actions of the Islamic State and other jihadi groups today, and vividly illustrates the historical continuity of Islam’s treatment of Christians and other non-Muslims.

This continuity is the result of specific commands in the Quran, melded with the example of Muhammad, which gives Islam its inherently supremacist and warlike nature and mandate, to make the whole world submit to the rule of Allah.

The early twentieth century saw 4 million or more Orthodox and Eastern Christians martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ during the Armenian Genocide, which actually was part of a larger holocaust committed by the Turkish Muslims during the period from 1894-1922.

Now we see a new wave of genocide committed by Muslims against Christians at the start of the twenty-first. Historical continuity reveals much about Islam, its purpose, and its adherents

The Holocaust and the Silence of the Church resulted in the deaths of millions of people / You must watch this to protect history repeating itself

Dear family & friends in Christ,

Last Sunday at church, we had Hugh Kitson, Producer, Director & Writer from Hatikvah Film Trust, as our guest speaker.

During his presentation he showed a video of the Holocaust.  You may click the following link to watch a brief clip of it from their Facebook page. When you watch this, just think, what did the Jews do to be slaughtered like animals (mother, father and children)?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMSupynF1Bc

It is not funny, but we all know history tends to repeat itself ever so often. In the full 1 ½ hour documentary (Jacob’s Tears) many Christian leaders of that day speak with great sadness on behalf of the Church which for most part stayed silent. One Pastor stated, “if the Church and the rest of the community had spoken up, we would have had possibly 10 thousand deaths and not 10 million+ deaths.”

The problem?? The Church was lulled into a false sense of peace and security. Unfortunately, we are looking at another Holocaust already happening all over the world through fundamental Islam. Most of the Church leaders, Government leaders and others are silent about it, with many Church and other leaders constantly denying that Islam is a violent religion. Due to political correctness, they state that Islam is a religion of peace.

SIGNIFICANT IMPACT OF A FATHER HAS ON OUR HEALTH

The Significant Impact A Father Has On Our HealthView May 2015 Issue >> Joy

Latest medical research is tracing 87-95% of diseases back to “toxic mind-sets” upstream in our thought life, which come from a relationship breakdown on the following three levels:

  • A relationship breakdown with God – for example not being able to receive His love
  • A breakdown in relationship with yourself – for example a low self-esteem, guilt, shame, condemnation and self-hatred
  • A breakdown in relationship with others – for example hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, criticism, fault-finding, jealousy, envy and strife.

The key to healing is love
To recover from 95% of diseases, it is necessary to deal with the toxic-mindsets that cause them. Therefore the process of healing involves restoration in these three areas whereby you come back into a love relationship with God, yourself and others. When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. And the second greatest commandment is like it – love your neighbour as you do yourself. Upon this depends all the Law and the prophets” Matt 22:36-40.

So Jesus said, “What it is all about is loving God, loving yourself and loving others.” This is true, even in the area of healing! The key to divine health in one word is “love”! Because when you have a wholesome love relationship with God, yourself and others, you won’t have any of the toxic mindsets that cause disease!

The role of the father

Just as you cannot pour water into a glass from an empty jug – you cannot give out love to others if you don’t have it in you! You cannot love others without ‘loving yourself’ in a balanced way where you have a healthy self-esteem that is firmly rooted in the knowledge of who you are in Christ. If you don’t love yourself, you are going to have a hard time getting along with anybody else. The problem with many marriages today is two people who don’t know how to love themselves, who are trying to love each other! You cannot love yourself without first receiving the love of God the Father.

UK Sharia courts “main aim” to “restrict & deny rights” of women & children

June 15, 2015 By Robert Spencer

What a surprise. “Britain must ban sharia ‘kangaroo courts’, say activists,” by Emma Batha, Reuters, June 15, 2015:

LONDON, June 15 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Britain’s new government must abolish Islamic sharia courts, campaigners said on Monday, describing them as “kangaroo courts” that deliver second-rate justice and trample over the rights of women and children.

They called for the government to stick to pre-election promises to hold an inquiry into sharia courts which first appeared in Britain in the mid-1980s.

“Over the years, we have witnessed with increasing alarm the influence of ‘Sharia courts’ over the lives of citizens of Muslim heritage,” nearly 200 women’s rights and secular campaigners said in a statement.

“Though the ‘Sharia courts’ have been touted as people’s right to religion, they are in fact, effective tools of the far-right Islamist movement whose main aim is to restrict and deny rights, particularly those of women and children.”

Fatherhood: The Most Important Job a Man Can Have

6/12/2015 Shawn A. Akers – Charisma News

Most dads wouldn’t want to readily confess their failures as a parent. It’s simply not in our nature to admit that we’ve made mistakes that have negatively impacted our children.

Author Gregory W. Slayton says the good news, however, is that dads don’t have to continue to pay for those mistakes. In his book, Be a Better Dad Today: 10 Tools Every Father Needs, Slayton wants to remind men—especially with Father’s Day approaching—that God continually gives us grace to move forward and to strive to be the Godly dad that your children need.

“I think we all struggle. I know that I’ve been a failure at times too,” Slayton says. “The good thing about it is that you can make a mistake, ask for forgiveness, get up and keep going. You really can be a better dad. You may say, ‘I’m terrible at this.’ But, you cannot give up. The only failure that occurs is when you give up.”

You may have said, or constantly say things to you children that you regret. You may have been inconsistent in disciplining your children. Perhaps you resorted to bribing your child to get a desired behavior. Or, maybe you allowed your “busy” schedule to intrude upon the quality time you should have been spending with children.

Christians in China Stand Up to Government Tyranny: Restore Crosses After They have Been Removed

June 09, 2015 -Robert Marquand – Christian Science Monitor

A group of Protestant churches in China’s Zhejiang Province are staging an unusual tryst with local authorities who have knocked down the cross from atop their churches: They are fighting back and restoring the traditional symbol of Christianity.

In some cases, the often elderly evangelical resisters in 16 churches around the cities of Lishui and Fuyang have persistently replaced the cross three times in a single day. So far, the restored crosses – some of makeshift raw lumber – remain.

Such civil disobedience is part of a mostly polite but intensifying standoff between the faithful and party authorities in the wake of a state campaign to target Protestants in the place where their numbers are growing and their churches are visible.

A number of churchgoers who have conducted late night and early morning campaigns to reaffix the cross say they are acting out of conviction and aren’t afraid. One man, Zhao Lizhong, who tried in early May to defend the Pinguan church in Lishui, has not been heard from since police escorted him from the site.

Should the Church be involved in politics? – by Ps Daniel Nalliah

Dear family & friends in Christ,

I am sure everyone of us has asked the above question, “Should the Church be involved in politics?“

The simple answer is YES.

For many years, I was a strong believer, like many Christians, that the Church should not get involved in politics. Unfortunately, I believed in this lie for more than half of my Christian life, as the devil very cleverly deceived me.

But thank God that I had a major paradigm shift, when in Saudi Arabia on 21st July 1997 at 3.40am, Jesus appeared in my house and spoke to me for 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Just 40 minutes from Mecca in Saudi Arabia, Jesus very clearly spoke to me with His audible voice and said, “Your time here is over. I am taking you to Australia and you will go into many parliaments and be a voice for the voiceless speaking in My name.”

Like father, like son: Boys today are twice as likely to be close to their dads as in times past

Jonathan Owen

This will bring a future generation of emotionally intelligent fathers who are ‘willing and able to bring home so much more than just the bacon,’ says expert.

A new generation of fathers and sons are closer than ever before, according to new research released today, and the improved relationships bode well for future generations, according to experts. Fathers are twice as likely to be “close” to their sons today, with more than one in three (35 per cent) describing their relationship in this way. But only 18 per cent felt the same about how they got on with their own father, according to a national UK survey, by OnePoll, of 1,000 men with sons aged between 12 and 16.

Relationships with their own fathers were rated as “terrible” by 7 per cent of today’s dads, with only 2 per cent saying the same thing about their son. And while more than one in five had a “strained” relationship with their dads, only one in 10 said it about their son.

Clinical psychologist Dr Fiona Starr, of Middlesex University, said: “These research findings confirm what psychologists and therapists are seeing in their clinics, namely the nature of fatherhood, boyhood and the relationships between fathers and their sons are more involved, more communicative and more attentive than ever.

Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to be introduced in U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 10, 2015 (LifeSiteNews)

A bill to prevent unborn babies from feeling searing pain during an abortion will be introduced in the U.S. Senate tomorrow.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC, will introduce the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act before the world’s most deliberative body tomorrow, following a press conference with pro-life organizations at the Capitol Visitors Center.

“Right now in our country, a child can be killed in his or her mother’s womb for any reason, at any point, up until the moment of birth. We are one of only seven nations in the world, including China and North Korea, to allow such brutality,” said Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser, who will join Graham at tomorrow’s press conference. “We are a better nation than this.”

The move comes just one month after the House passed the bill, which would ban most abortions after 20 weeks, with a bipartisan 242-184 vote. The House passed the law on the second anniversary of Kermit Gosnell’s murder conviction.

Israel Named One of “Top Five Happiest Countries in the World”

Viva Sarah Press : Jun 11, 2015 : Israel21c.org

“It’s because of our focus on relationships. Friends and family are very high up on our value scale, and quality time with them is given a priority.”

[Israel21c.org] Israel is one of the Top 5 Happiest Countries in the World, according to a new Better Life Index report by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

“Israelis are more satisfied with their lives than the OECD average. When asked to rate their general satisfaction with life on a scale from 0 to 10, Israelis gave it a 7.4 grade, higher than the OECD average of 6.6,” reads the report.

Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and Finland took the top four spots in global happiness. The United States did not crack the top 10 for the fifth consecutive year.

University of California-Berkeley student’s article about why she left Islam pulled from school paper over fears for her safety

June 12, 2015 – By Robert Spencer

I saw the piece when it first went up in the Berkeley student newspaper, marveled that it was published at all in such a place, and had planned to post an excerpt at Jihad Watch, but it was gone before I got a chance. Now we know why: there are concerns for the safety of the student who wrote it, and such concerns are entirely reasonable, given the fact (however often denied by dishonest Islamic apologists in the U.S.) of Islam’s death penalty for apostasy. The article was also noteworthy for the author’s frank admission that “yes, Islam does allow men to have four wives and sex slaves” — truths also often denied by Western Islamic apologists. In any case, “free speech” Berkeley ought to be in an uproar over the fact that this student is under threat, and the student paper ought to be filled with avowals of her human rights and declarations of how she must and will be protected. However, Berkeley ain’t what it used to be, if it ever was.

Terrorism Works, part 924,103: “Student’s Anti-Islam Article Retracted Due To ‘Safety’ Risk,” by Austin Petersen, Libertarian Republic, June 8, 2015:

An opinion piece written by a student at the University of California-Berkeley explaining her decision to leave Islam has been pulled from the school newspaper’s website over fears for the author’s safety.

The opinion piece, titled “On Leaving Islam,” recounted the personal story of the narrator (whose name we will withold) growing up a devout (though moderate) Muslim in Pakistan, but later abandoning the faith as she learned more about the world.

Kurdish Courage: ISIS’ Evil Crushed This City, but Not Its People

Kurdish Courage ISIS' Evil Crushed This City, but Not Its PeopleGary Lane : Jun 8, 2015 : CBN News

“We really sacrificed and our uprising was not only for the people of Kobani, but for people everywhere.”

Kobani, Syria—[CBN News] As the Iraqi military struggles with ISIS, it could learn a lesson from Kurdish troops. In Syria, the Peshmerga helped free the city of Kobani, with help from American airstrikes.

CBN’s Gary Lane joined CBN Humanitarian and Disaster Relief workers as they brought help to the ravaged city of Kobani.

They were shocked by what we saw. Much of the town has been destroyed. The effort to drive ISIS from Kobani left much of this area just devastated.

But slowly, people are coming back. The town now has a population of about 20 percent of what it was once before.
