It’s amazing to me how the Internet is heightening our awareness of what is going on in the world to a whole new level. Things all around the globe that have been cloaked in obscurity for hundreds of years are now coming to light, many of them taking center stage in mainstream media. Take for instance the case of Meriam Ibrahim, a Sudanese woman who had been sentenced to death for her Christian faith widely covered in media, like the May 16 CNN news report below. The struggle between Islam and Christianity has been going on for a very long time. Both faiths are “exclusive and expansionary”, often causing them to clash.
Little do we, as Westerners, know that to be Muslim and choose Christianity in some nations and contexts means giving up everything. There is a vast difference of interpretation between how I read this verse and the meaning it holds for a born Muslim who has chosen to follow Christ and is counting the cost of that decision: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

As Iraq burns, and the hard-won gains of American arms are thrown away in a bloodbath of severed heads and mass executions, more than 1,500 miles away from Baghdad a smaller, but also heartbreaking drama is playing out before the eyes of a watching world.
And just as in Iraq, the United States is humiliated, with lives hanging in the balance.
On Monday, there was a rare burst of good news from the jihadist reaches of the Muslim world, as a Sudanese court overturned the death sentence imposed on Meriam Ibrahim, a Sudanese Christian convicted of “apostasy” – of converting from Islam to Christianity. Married to an American, Meriam was imprisoned with her two young American children, sentenced to be flogged and then hung. She was free to leave Sudan, and it appeared our State Department was even working diligently to bring Meriam and her American family home, to free soil.
Yesterday, everything changed. According to multiple reports, just as Meriam and her family were poised to board their flight to freedom, Sudanese secret police emerged and re-arrested Meriam, detaining her and her American husband and American children after an “angry” airport confrontation. Our sources on Capitol Hill (and Sudanese media) indicate that they were snatched away with American officials literally present at the airport.

For once 3AW did not cut him off. They actually invited him into the studio and let him speak. Halfway through the live interview, Tom showed Mr Nalliah that the switchboard was jammed with callers, which he said was unusual.

A Christian health worker has begun a legal challenge after being disciplined by the NHS for praying with a Muslim colleague.
Victoria Wasteney, a senior occupational therapist in one of the country’s most racially diverse areas, was also accused of bullying the colleague after giving her a book about a Muslim woman who converts to Christianity.
In addition, senior managers told Miss Wasteney that it was inappropriate to invite the woman to a community sports day organised by her church.
The complaints led to Miss Wasteney being suspended on full pay for nine months.
Three charges were upheld against the 37-year-old Christian at an internal disciplinary hearing in February and five charges were found to be unsubstantiated. She had to accept a final written warning at work which will remain on her records for 12 months, as well as accept a range of other requirements designed to stop her discussing her faith and beliefs with colleagues.
Jesus—perhaps the most significant and influential person in history ever—was a settler. Indeed, Jesus was a Jewish settler who lived in the town of Bethlehem in Judea (which is referred to by some today as “occupied territory” in the West Bank.)
How can millions worldwide accept the story of Jesus, claim that a Jewish family raised this Jewish boy in this city—yet, somehow claim the Jews do not have history and the right to this land? There is nearly a Christian alive who disputes that Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea—the same city where King David had been born a thousand years earlier. And if that is the case, how can anyone in the same breath claim to be a Christian—and say that there is any occupied territory in Israel?
Jordan created the term “West Bank” only 60 years ago. Is that more important than Jesus?
The Jewish people—from the time of Jesus—have a biblical, legal and moral link and connection to these areas that are part of the State of Israel. All of the land of Israel is rich with stories from the Bible—and Judea and Samaria belong to Israel.

Today from his office in Hallam, the RUAP National President Daniel Nalliah stated, “Unfortunately, it might be a bit too late for Britain. The good book called the bible states, ‘What you sow is what you reap.’ Well, Great Britain sowed the seeds of Multiculturalism, and today they are reaping a counter culture called Islam. True Islam has no respect for any other culture or religion, and does not, and will not, accept Western Democracy, Freedom of Speech or our way of life.
Our slogan at Rise Up Australia Party is to Keep Australia Australian. I was very encouraged recently to hear PM Tony Abbott using another term called ‘Team Australia’. The bottom line is that if people immigrate to our country Australia, then they need to integrate into the Australian way of life and culture. If they are not prepared to do this then they need to go back to where they came from. Adhering to Australian values is not an option or a choice, it is a duty to all who live in Australia.
Many ask me, ‘Is it too late to turn the ship around in Australia?’ I believe we can turn it around if we act quickly and intelligently now. When I say now, it means now, not tomorrow. It is that urgent.

In order to prevent a clash of civilizations, or worse, Islam must reform. This is the contention of many Western peoples. And, pointing to Christianity’s Protestant Reformation as proof that Islam can also reform, many are optimistic.
Overlooked by most, however, is that Islam has been reforming. What is today called “radical Islam” is the reformation of Islam. And it follows the same pattern of Christianity’s Protestant Reformation.
The problem is our understanding of the word “reform.” Despite its positive connotations, “reform” simply means to “make changes (in something, typically a social, political, or economic institution or practice) in order to improve it.”
Synonyms of “reform” include “make better,” “ameliorate,” and “improve”—splendid words all, yet words all subjective and loaded with Western references.

When so-called Lone Wolf Muslim terrorists are busted by the feds, CAIR and other Muslim groups invariably claim entrapment, arguing that they would have done nothing if they hadn’t been led on by law enforcement.
With Shannon Maureen Conley, the Feds tried to do everything possible to dissuade her from becoming a Muslim terrorist and it didn’t work.
FBI agents tried more than once to discourage a 19-year-old suburban Denver woman who said she was intent on waging jihad in the Middle East before arresting her in April as she boarded a flight she hoped would ultimately get her to Syria.
Shannon Maureen Conley had told agents that she wanted to use her American military training from the U.S. Army Explorers to start a holy war overseas, even though she knew that it was illegal.
