A few weeks ago a Pastor friend of mine who works as a chaplain for a state school in Victoria took his Year 6 class on an excursion to Canberra. There they went up to Mount Ainsley which overlooks the Federal Parliament building. Right on top of this mountain is some sort of a communication tower.
 
One of the students, who was not a Christian, came up to my Pastor friend and said, “there is blood all over the concrete slab under the tower”. This got the attention of many students and when they looked further, it was indeed fresh blood splattered all over the slab. The students were absolutely shocked as was my friend, who explained that it was some sort of sacrifice.
 
My friend who was very disturbed by what he had seen started praying but did not let the students know.  As they left for another place, my friend found out that the tour guide was a born-again Christian and he told her what they had seen on the mountain. She responded, “oh, we know about it as the witchcraft covens offer sacrifices all the time on that mountain”. My friend could not believe what he was hearing and he brought this to my attention as soon as he returned from Canberra.

Over the last weekend the Spirit of God moved mightily in Mildura as Pas Danny ministered at several combined church services at the Living Waters Church. Many Pastors, Christian believers from others churches, and people from the local community came together to catch the fire of the Holy Spirit! An excellent newspaper article from Jono Pech in the Sunraysia Daily on Saturday morning 15th August (just before the revival meetings) attracted many non-believers to church. Praise God that some surrendered their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior!  Many received supernatural deliverance, healing and restoration from the mighty hand of God!

Equality Mess: Newspaper Report Regarding Pastor Danny And Court Case

Following is a link to a very good article from the Saturday 1st August edition of the Geelong Advertiser in Victoria, Australia regarding anti-discrimination legislation as discriminatory and Pastor Danny’s court case fought for freedom of speech and religion.

Attorney General Rob Hulls from the State Government of Victoria wants the exemptions removed from the Racial & Religious Tolerance Act presently given to religious organisations.  This will lead to Christian schools being forced to recruit non-Christian teachers, such as Homosexuals, Secular Humanists, Atheists, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, New Agers, etc.  Furthermore, the proposed Bill of Rights will gag Pastors, Leaders, and all followers of Christ from speaking openly against practices and lifestyles such as Homosexuality, Abortion, Witchcraft, other Religions, and the list goes on and on! The same happened to the other arm, then I felt a sharp pain in the heart area twice, and felt fearful for a moment, wondering what was going to happen next. When I stood up I was like a drunk woman, and couldn’t balance or walk straight. Gradually after I went home, I was able to walk straight. I was so happy, so grateful as I’d never felt the Holy Spirit before, but had been prayed for after baptism to receive the Holy Spirit 50 years before, although I did see visions over the years.I woke up this morning, 2nd of August 2009, with no pain whatsoever, and will feel eternally grateful for the Lord’s gift of healing through the Holy Spirit. WHAT happens when equal rights between men and women are so widely accepted that mainstream Australia hardly thinks about it? Surely it is time to acknowledge that anti-discrimination statutes have done their job?

Not according to the Victorian Government. It harbours the view that discrimination has got sophisticated – so hard to find under current law – that we must widen the law to catch more of it. One area in the State Government’s sights is religious bodies, and their schools. (more…)

Religious Exceptions – Church v State

The CrossWith the Victorian government currently considering all the ‘exceptions’ and exemptions’ in Victoria’s Equal Opportunity Act, things are starting to heat up!

The religious exceptions in the Act are causing a great deal of concern among many Christian groups.

Section 75 covers churches and religious schools, Section 76 covers religious schools and Section 77 covers individuals.

The exceptions say that religious bodies and so on are excepted from the anti-discrimination laws. They mean, for example, that Christian schools can specify that those they employ have Christian beliefs and lifestyles that are consistent with their Christian beliefs.

The Scrutiny of Acts and Regulations Committee put out an Options Paper in May 2009 and asked for submissions. Over 1,000 were received and the Committee is now analysing them.   (more…)
