Melbourne Archbishop Denis Hart

Melbourne Archbishop Denis HartMELBOURNE, Australia, February 12, 2016 (LifeSiteNews)

MELBOURNE, Australia, February 12, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – A Catholic member of Australia’s Parliament won`t be giving the keynote address to Catholic social workers as scheduled because of her public support of same-sex “marriage.”

MP Cathy McGowan was going to speak to Catholic Social Services workers from all over Australia at a conference later this month until Melbourne Archbishop Denis Hart asked that she be disinvited because of her open backing of same-sex “marriage” legislation opposed by the Church. The conference organizers complied.

Archbishop Hart’s spokesman Shane Healy told reporters, “There was no malice,” on Hart’s part, nor did he want to “in any way embarrass Cathy, but he would see with a conference such as this that the keynote speaker should be in line with Catholic teaching on that very important topic.”

Syrian Website Thanks Israelis: “May You Always be Safe and Blessed”

Viva Sarah Press : Feb 22, 2016 : Israel21c.org

“Turned away from Arab countries, increasingly unwelcome in Europe, Syrian refugees have found support, aid and assistance from the last place they could have expected: Israeli and Jewish organizations and individuals.” -Aboud Dandachi

Israel)—[Israel21c] Aboud Dandachi, a Sunni Muslim from the city of Homs now living in Istanbul, has created a website dedicated to the Israeli and Jewish organizations and people helping Syrian refugees. (Screengrab via Facebook)

The website, Thank You Am Israel, highlights the humanitarian aid being given to displaced Syrians and also refutes any reasons why Israelis and Syrians should be enemies.

“As a Syrian, I am morally obligated to ensure that the goodwill that Israelis and Jews have displayed towards my people will not be overlooked nor forgotten. The day will come when the conflict in Syria will come to an end, as all things come to an end. On that day, it is imperative that Syrians reciprocate the enormous goodwill shown towards us by Israelis and the Jewish people. Whatever supposed reasons we may have had to be adversaries is dwarfed by the compassion shown to us during our darkest days, a time when we have nothing to give back except our gratitude,” writes Dandachi in a January opinion article on his site.

What Really Happens in the 4 Most Common Abortion Procedures?

Brian Gottstein /Live Action : Feb 24, 2016 : Charisma News

“This unique window into the womb dispels the myth that abortions remove ‘clumps of cells,’ and instead shows that they kill real children with beating hearts and forming brains at just 3 1/2 weeks gestation.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: You’ve heard the faulty saying, “Ignorance is bliss.” There is NO bliss related to abortions. It’s so important to actually KNOW what happens with each kind of abortion procedure, and to not be ignorant; because I believe any abortion-minded person who actually takes the time to see the facts with their own eyes, will change their mind. These videos are NOT graphic, not actual ultrasound images, but animated demonstrations of what happens in each procedure–including RU486. Click here to view these videos. -Aimee Herd, BCN.

With the right to life as a major issue in 2016, pro-life investigative video producer Live Action released videos today aimed at changing the abortion debate in America. For the first time ever, a former abortionist will use medical animations to clearly depict what actually happens to a baby and her mother during an abortion.

Indian doctor fights gendercide by delivering baby girls for free

PUNE, India, February 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews)

As a child, Dr. Ganesh Rakh wanted to be a wrestler. Now he wrestles with one of India’s most destructive prejudices. The hospital he started in 2007 to serve the poor in the city of Pune, 60 miles southeast of Mumbai, delivers girl babies for free as part of his effort to reverse India’s murderous – and growing – preference for male children.

“As a medical professional I have seen the torture that a mother undergoes when she comes to know that she has delivered a girl,” Dr. Bakh told reporters, “because regressive social norms are not only anti-women but are even anti-girl child.”

Often wrongly termed infanticide, the Indian preference for males has led to an estimated 12,700,000 sex-selective abortions of girls from 2000 to 2014, according to the pro-life Population Research Institute. The Virginia-based PRI’s executive director, Stephen Mosher, says Indian gendercide is especially acute among the country’s middle class, which allow 800 girls to be born to every 1,000 males (the overall ratio is 927:1,000).

U.S. Students Given Head Scarves to Wear on “World Hijab Day”: Can You Guess Their Parents’ Reaction?

Meira Svirsky : Feb 16, 2016 : United With Israel

“What lesson will they wear a Yarmulke in? Or the Christian cross? Or the Hindu turban? Funny how it always seems to be the Muslims they learn about, even in Common Core.” -Dan Lane

(Rochester, NY)—[United With Israel] School officials in Rochester, New York are getting flak from angry parents and teachers for holding an event in solidarity with World Hijab Day. The event, held at the school and during school hours, encouraged the high school girls to wear the Islamic headscarf for the day. Boys were given carnations to wear in solidarity.

Unsuspecting students put on the 150 headscarves that were brought by teachers before the first bell rang. They were encouraged to participate in the “cultural event” by the school’s principal Sheela Webster, who insisted the headscarf had nothing to do with religion, but rather all about the “experiential” and “was actually around learning about the cloth.”

Owner of Ohio deli attacked by jihadi screaming “Allahu akbar”: “I am going to get a bigger Israeli flag”

February 15, 2016 – by Robert Spencer

This is what we need: defiance and courage in the face of evil. Instead, the whole West is surrendering, and calling it “respect.”

“EXCLUSIVE: Owner of Ohio Deli Targeted by Machete Terrorist: ‘We Are Israeli, We Fight Back,’” by Shiri Moshe, The Tower, February 14, 2016 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):

Hany Baransi has been serving authentic hummus and falafel in his central Ohio eatery for 27 years, proudly giving diners a taste of his Israeli Christian Arab heritage between bites of rich Mediterranean fare.

A sign bearing an Arabic greeting—“Ahlan Wa Sahalan”— hangs prominently near the glass doors of his Nazareth Restaurant & Deli in Columbus, through which passersby can also spot an Israeli flag. Baransi says he has always been outspoken about his Israeli identity, and so when his restaurant was attacked on Thursday evening by a machete-wielding man, he believed it was no coincidence.

Aussie family group stands up to LGBT program for 11-year-olds

Feb 17, 2016

AUSTRALIA, February 17, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – An Australian Christian organization is warning school principals to keep out of a federally funded Safe Schools program that is pitched as anti-bullying but is actually promoting premature sexual activity and transgenderism.

The Australian Christian Lobby says many of the 500 principals who have permitted the Safe Schools program into their schools “are probably not aware of what Safe Schools is really promoting and may be unwittingly acting as agents for rainbow activists.”

“We are in a battle for the innocence of our children,” ACL spokesperson Wendy Francis told LifeSiteNews. The program, which was produced by an alliance of homosexual activist groups, is funded to the tune of $8 million by the federal government. All state governments have made it optional for each school, except for Victoria, which will require all schools to teach it by 2017. The state of Victoria provided initial funding for the Safe Schools Coalition.

Che Ahn: “It’s Time for Bob Jones’ Prophesied Billion-Soul Harvest”

Lou Engle with Che Ahn via Facebook, Charisma News)Che Ahn : Feb 16, 2016 : Charisma News

Bob Jones was a crusty, eccentric prophet.

Well before he passed away on Valentine’s Day 2014, Bob gave a prophetic word sharing three signs that would take place before the arrival of a Billion-Soul Harvest.

Back in 1983 in Kansas City, he prophesied:

  • that in America a “morning-after pill” would be invented,
  • that America would legalize same-sex marriage (which was unthinkable at the time), and
  • that a watch would be invented that the laborers working in the rice paddies in China could wear and listen to worship music.

Right now we are in a prophetically unprecedented season, as the second and third signs in Bob’s prophecy took place just last year—most notably with the advent of the Apple Watch.

In this historic season, it’s perfectly clear to me that we are in a time of global harvest.

Young AFL player healed from near death in ICU after prayer

IMG_6969

IMG_69701Dear family & friends in Christ,

On Easter Sunday morning when Ps Daniel arrived at church, two of his pastoral team met him at the door and told him that the son of one of the members in church was critical on life support in hospital.

The 15 year old young man had fallen some 6-8 meters onto his back onto the concrete floor. When the mother was informed she rushed to the hospital and was shocked to see her son in coma.

The Doctors told her to expect the worst, but being a believer she did not give up, but instead believed God for a miracle from Jesus.

On Sunday morning around 11am Ps Daniel got the whole congregation to unite in prayer for a miracle healing. He then prayed casting out the spirit of death and called out,

“Ivor come back in Jesus name”  while the mother stood beside the bedside of the young man.

Gospel for Asia Awaits Papers as ‘Tens of Thousands’ Could Join Class Action Lawsuit

By Leonardo Blair , Christian Post Reporter – February 12, 2016

With more than a million unique donations being made to Gospel for Asia annually, Monday’s bombshell class action lawsuit against one of the largest missions agencies based in the U.S. could potentially involve no less than “tens of thousands” of plaintiffs and the agency says it’s still waiting to be served.

“While we are more than willing to answer any questions asked of us, it would be irresponsible for us to do so at this time since we have not yet been served any lawsuit.

All we know is what has been posted on the Internet by certain bloggers who have previously misrepresented facts related to Gospel for Asia in a relentless attempt to discredit our ministry,” wrote Daniel Punnose in an email statement to The Christian Post Thursday.

He is listed as a vice president and member of Gospel for Asia’s board of directors as well as the son of the organization’s leader, K.P. Yohannan, in the lawsuit.

Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao defends natural marriage, gets pummelled by Western press

Feb 16, 2016

MANILA, Philippines, February 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Eight-time world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is the target of a Western newsmedia blitz misquoting him as having said that homosexuals were “worse than animals.”

In his homeland Philippines, Pacquiao is a hugely popular sports figure for winning world boxing titles in eight weight classifications, climaxing with the welterweight championship in 2014. In training for a comeback match in the U.S. in May after losing his title last year, a member of the Philippines House of Representative now campaigning for a Senate seat, and born-again Christian, he is now facing “a storm” of criticism, according to British and American news media, for comments on same-sex “marriage.”

“It’s common sense,” the boxer replied to a reporter’s query. “Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve male on male, female on female then man is worse than animals.”

Saudi Singer on Egyptian TV Criticizes Radical Islam, Defends the West

Published Feb. 11, 2016 – Larry Elder

This fight against radical Islam is also a fight within Islam. Where, we constantly ask, are the voices of “moderation” who question the barbarity committed in the name of Islam?

Consider Shams Bandar.

Born in Saudi Arabia, this popular singer renounced her Saudi citizenship, lives in Europe and intends to become a citizen of a European country. On an Egyptian channel called Dream TV, Bandar said to the astonished host, “We have been fighting and shedding blood for 1,400 years, and now we are blaming America and Britain?”

Provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute, here is a translated transcript of the exchange:

Host: “Are you trying to sell the notion that foreign citizenship is the paradise that will save you from the hell of the Arab world?”

The failure of multiculturalism

February 7th, 2016 – by Cal Thomas – The Intersection of faith, culture, and politics

Just as radar warns of approaching storms, so does the flood of migrants entering Europe warn us of a deluge yet to come, not only for Europeans, if they continue to allow unrestricted immigration, but for the United States.

Reports that women in Cologne, Germany, have been groped and robbed by men described by authorities as having “a North African or Arabic” appearance should be warning enough, but there are other and more ominous warnings that suggest worse lies ahead, unless the problem receives immediate attention and action. And it’s not just Cologne.

The Gatestone Institute, a nonpartisan, not-for-profit international policy council and think tank, is in possession of what it describes as a “leaked German intelligence document,” which says, “We are importing Islamic extremism, Arab anti-Semitism, national and ethnic conflicts of other peoples, as well as a different understanding of society and law.”
