Abortion survivor testifies: “The abortionist signed my birth certificate. My life is not defined by abortion. I am not a victim, I am a victor.”

(San Francisco)—25,000 participants attended the Walk for Life West, an event attached to Martin Luther King Jr. celebrations on Sunday.

Those who participated in the walk for life bore signs and banners that read “Abortion Hurts Women” and “Women Deserve Better.” Eight California Catholic bishops were on hand to support the event. An estimated 250 pro-abortion advocates came to counter-protest the police-guarded march.

Gianna Jessen, who developed cerebral palsy as an infant after an attempted saline abortion in Los Angeles, gave an address to the crowds at the rally before the march.

“I was aborted and did not die,” she said. “I will limp my way into heaven.”

“The abortionist signed my birth certificate,” she continued, “My life is not defined by abortion. I am not a victim, I am a victor.” (more…)

Former Archbishop Lays into Islamic Culture

Lord Carey, the former archbishop of Canterbury, has launched a trenchant attack on Islamic culture, saying it was authoritarian, inflexible and under-achieving.

In a speech that will upset sensitive relations between the faiths, he denounced moderate Muslims for failing unequivocally to condemn the “evil” of suicide bombers.

He attacked the “glaring absence” of democracy in Muslim countries, suggested that they had contributed little of major significance to world culture for centuries and criticised the Islamic faith. (more…)

Election 2007 – Did I get it wrong?

Danny NalliahBy Ps Danny of Catch the Fire Ministries

Dear Family in Christ,

I am just back in my office after 5 days of ministry in Western Australia. Sorry for the delay in bringing out this email.

We at Catch the Fire Ministries congratulate Prime Minister elect Kevin Rudd and the Labor party for winning the election. We will pray for the elected government, as instructed in the Word of God. “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4) (more…)

Posted: August 2, 2007  WorldNetDaily.com Inc.   1:00 a.m. Eastern

Think of all the dangerous characters lurking around our schoolchildren these days:
• There are drug dealers;
• There are gang members;
• And there are the sex predators – more and more of them posing as teachers.
With all these threats to the safety and well-being of their students, guess who school authorities in the state of Florida have targeted with more than one prosecution?
The answer: Two member of the Gideons International, those dangerous subversives who give away Bibles to anyone interested – including students walking to and from school.
It all started when Annette Martinson, the principal of the Key Largo School, spotted Ernest Simpson and Anthony Mirto of the Gideons handing out free copies of the Bible to anyone interested. In nothing flat, she was on the phone to the Monroe County sheriff’s department. (more…)
