The German site Politically Incorrect has an excellent commentary on the acquittal of Geert Wilders on Sharia-inspired “hate speech” charges: “A Historic Victory for Freedom!,” by Frank Furter, translated by Anders Denken:
Dear PI Community,
We finally made it! The movement for Islam criticism is celebrating a great, and even historic, victory. Let’s thank those who dragged Geert Wilders into court. Those who were recruited primarily by various Muslim organizations were holding a gun to the heart of the Dutch judiciary. And the judges had to decide which values, which rights and which law was to apply in the Netherlands. Is it that law that is written down in the constitution of their land? Or that law that is gaining entry into the West with the influx of Muslims? They decided for Western law. Anything else would have been scandalous and would have forced the question of whether our Western ideas concerning law and order were only a collection of empty phrases.
The trial against Geert Wilders clearly brought to light just how greatly Western and Islamic values differ from each other. The supporters of multicultural society believe that all cultures lend themselves to combining into a flourishing society of diversity. On the surface, this seems to function where culture overflows in tradition and folklore. However, at the roots of a culture is more than just the question of what one should wear, eat and celebrate, and when, where and how. At their roots, cultures open up to the elementary questions of what one may do and not do, what is permitted and what is forbidden, what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil.
Dear family & friends in Christ across our Nation of Australia and around the World,
Over the past several years, I have been very carefully watching the unfolding events across the world and asking the questions, “Will the Western world surrender to the Middle East and lose its Judeo-Christian Heritage, Freedom of Speech, Democracy, etc. to the political, social, economic, religious and spiritual force of Islam? How long will it be before the West wakes up and realises that if the current trend continues, we could have Islamic Sharia Law dominating parts of the West, as it is already happening in many parts of Europe?â€
While watching the media breaking news across the Middle East over the past 6 months or so, in particular PRESS TV NEWS, a channel which comes through satellite and is broadcast from Iran, of the many increasingly spreading revolutions throughout the Middle East, I have heard many Islamic clerics and others in the revolution repeatedly proclaim, “We will take this revolution into Europe.† Then they went on to call on the youth in Europe to start similar revolutions there.
Over the past week or so, I have been watching the latest developments in the UK on news and noticed that most rioters were youth. Who is behind the current riots in the UK is a question we need to ask? Is it simply because of one young man’s death, or is there a well organised movement coordinating these riots?

The gatherings brought together civic and church leaders as never before, breaking down barriers and establishing relationships that will last for years.
(Marseille, France)—In a country that has resisted open proclamation of the Gospel for hundreds of years, God provided a much needed breakthrough this past week in southern France, focusing attention on the city of Marseille and the greater area of Provence.
Invited by 1 Meme Coeur, an organization made up of church leaders from throughout the region, world evangelist Luis Palau led historic evangelistic campaigns in the cities of Istres, Aix-en-Provence, and Marignane. The campaign culminated in a three day “Gospel” festival on Marseille’s crowded Plage du Prado beach.
Riding on the tails of France’s official Day of Music (June 21), and appealing to France’s affinity for Gospel music, the festival in Marseille helped reach 16,000 people with the Gospel. The festival included a clear Gospel message from Palau, as well as special musical performances by guest artists from throughout France and the United Kingdom. Palau was also joined by the 73-member Salem Baptist Gospel Choir from Chicago, led by Rev. James Meeks.

The acquittal of the embattled Dutch politician Geert Wilders may mark the turn of the tide in terms of European permissiveness towards Islamist immigrants who would destroy Dutch culture from within.
One can say that the trial was a win-win situation for Wilders, as the prosecution itself believed that he should be acquitted and stated so. Obviously Wilders is correct in saying “an enormous burden has fallen from my shoulders.” Even when one believes in one’s innocence and is certain of vindication, the postion of defendant is an unpleasant one.
Wilders, however, received a good deal of compensation. First of all the trial was nationally televised, including Wilders’ summation speech in which he compared himself to the Dutch martyrs and to Martin Luther’s defiance of papal supremacy:
Every day the armoured cars [Wilders faces death threats from Moslems – ed.] drive me past the statue of Johan de Witt at the Hofvijver in The Hague. De Witt wrote the “Manifesto of True Freedom†and he paid for freedom with his life. Every day I go to my office through the Binnenhof where Johan van Oldenbarneveldt was beheaded after a political trial. Leaning on his stick the elderly Oldenbarneveldt addressed his last words to his people. He said: “I have acted honourably and piously as a good patriot.†Those words are also mine. (more…)

Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39, what Bible scholars describe as the coming “War of Gog & Magogâ€
Over the next few days, I’ll share with you some of my notes. Today, let’s start by defining who “Gog†and “Magog†are, when this prophecy will take place, and what countries will be participating in the coalition against Israel:
1. The Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel lived in Babylon (Iraq) more than 2,500 years ago and the Lord gave him a vision of events that would take place in the future.
2. Ezekiel 38:16 specifically tells us these events will take place in the “last days†— that is in the End Times before the Messiah comes to set up His kingdom on earth.
3. Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37 set the stage for the “War of Gog and Magog†by describing that Israel will be reborn as a country in the last days, the Jewish people will come back to the Holy Land from exile all over the world, the Jewish people will rebuild the ancient ruins and make the deserts bloom again. These things have all happened, and this suggests we are getting closer to the fulfillment of the next set of prophecies.

Useful idiocy and self-delusion. Leftist/Islamic Supremacist Alliance Update: “UK author James Fergusson advocates sharia law in West,”
AFTER championing the cause of the Taliban, British author James Fergusson has found another cause: the need for Western legal systems to incorporate at least some of the principles of sharia.
“Properly and correctly applied, sharia has the potential to be extremely humane and flexible in a way that the common law does not,” he said.
That’s why Sharia states like Saudi Arabia and Iran are so notoriously humane and flexible.
Fergusson was speaking in Sydney, where he was promoting his most recent book, Taliban, at the Sydney Writers Festival.
He believes sharia, like the Taliban, is misunderstood.
Yes, of course. The Taliban didn’t mean to burn down all those girls’ schools. They were just trying to fix the central heating.

Dear family and friends in Christ,
There has been much news in the media all over the world in the last few days regarding the death of Osama bin Laden.
This man who was driven by a very evil agenda and who managed to terribly change the world in some 10 years through violence and fear, has successfully put Islam on the global scene.
So, was he a radical Islamic extremist or was he a true Muslim who followed the Quran?? Click the following link to read a document and make up your mind as to whether this man followed the Quran or not??

A true believer of any faith is a person who follows the fundamental doctrines of the faith, generally called a ‘fundamentalist’.
The question then needs to be asked, are there good Muslims? The answer is YES, of course. However, they are not necessarily true Muslims according to Mohammed and the Quran. Many Muslims have not read, nor follow the whole Quran, and prefer living a peaceful life.

Remember after 9/11, when Billy Graham’s people decided the word “crusade” was too inflammatory? I don’t remember the more benign term used for a time after that, but the thinking was, “crusade” might be offensive to Muslims.
That kind of thinking emboldens radical Islam. The imagery of the Crusades – in which large numbers of people in the Middle East swam in their own blood during the gruesome confrontations over Jerusalem – is often used by Muslims, who excel in propaganda. By the way – and this isn’t meant as an afterthought – the Jews might have some unpleasant memories of the Crusades, as well.
Rodney Stark, though, in “God’s Battalions,” makes an argument he should be applauded for: The Crusaders were not expansionist and bullying; rather they were a reaction to Muslim hostilities. The idea that the Crusades were launched in reaction to Muslim aggressiveness is a story too long suppressed, and finally, we have a concise record of what really happened.
