CTFM Israel mission report part 3 / Woman raised from the dead / by Pastor Daniel

Diana with Dr Murray and Geraldine of CTFM in Hospital Dear family & friends in Christ,

I am sure this part 3 report of God’s mighty power at work right in the Nation of Israel will greatly bless and encourage you to know that we serve a God of miracles!

On the last day of our tour in Israel we all boarded the 2 buses and started on our journey to cross the border into Jordan to visit mount Nebo before proceeding to the Amman Airport for our flights the same day.

In my bus was a lady by the name of Diana from Wagga Wagga in NSW, which is 4 hours from Melbourne, Australia, who had joined us on the tour. Also in the same bus was a Doctor by the name of Murray from Western Australia.

All seemed normal, except for the fact that we were sad to leave Israel, so as usual we started worshipping and singing praises to God. I was seated at the front of the bus as I was using the microphone to lead the people in worship.

While we were driving we were also talking about how great it was to visit the tombs of Lazarus and Jesus, as they were both raised from the dead in Israel over two thousand years ago. Suddenly I heard some shouting in the bus. At first I did not take much notice, but then my wife shouted out, “Danny, Danny come here.” She had just noticed something that she had seen a few times in ministry before.

New Development in Israel: Temple Mount Police Allow Rabbi to Prostrate Himself in Prayer

by Teresa Neumann : May 27, 2010 : Gil Ronen – Isreal National News

In ancient times, Jews who ascended the Mount fully prostrated themselves as part of the prayers there. The regular Jewish prayer services in synagogues include several instances of bowing in the direction of the synagogue’s Torah Ark, and partial prostration is carried out on some holidays.”

FOUNDING EDITOR’S NOTE: While these Orthodox Rabbi’s do not accept Jesus (Yeshua), might it be the beginning of Israel finally realizing they need something more than their rituals? Might it be that G-D is preparing them to receive even the Messiah? We know that day WILL COME. -Steve Shultz, BCN.

(Jerusalem, Israel)—A report from Arutz Sheva states that on May 25 a large group of hareidi-religious Jews ascended the Temple Mount and received friendly service from the police there—unlike the harsh police treatment that Jews typically receive on the Mount in recent years. One of the Jews was even reportedly allowed to fully prostrate himself in prayer, facing in the direction of the location of the ancient Temple—which is now occupied by a Muslim mosque. Not only was the group’s ascension not blocked at the Mount, as in previous attempts on Passover, but police on the Mount were even courteous and friendly. Says the report, “They were gripped by excitement when one of the rabbis prostrated himself facing the presumed location of the Temple’s Holy of Holies in ancient times. Police allowed this religious act as well.”

According to the report, Jews are usually forbidden from openly praying or even mumbling prayers on the Mount, as part of an Israeli policy of complying with Muslim Wakf’s demands in this matter.

Noted reporter Gil Ronen, “It is not completely clear whether the friendly police attitude Tuesday was a fluke or a sign of changing attitudes.” (more…)

CTFM Israel mission – Part 2 / by Pastor Daniel

Pastor Daniel and his wife leading the CTFM tour in IsraelEastern / Golden Gate where King Jesus rides through after His 2nd Coming to Jerusalem, IsraelDear family & friends in Christ,

I was so happy to read all the encouraging feedback from my last email titled ‘CTFM Israel mission great success – Part 1 / Mini revival in the aircrafts and transit hotel’ and I hope that this Part 2 report will bless you too!

I just do not know where to start once again, but I will try my best to share as briefly as possible as to what happened over our 8 day mission to Israel.

Although entering into Israel territory was very exciting, we were all very tired and ready to sleep the day we arrived.  There were many security checks, but they were not too bad. As soon as they heard that we were from Australia, there was great favour given to us. I must also say that with Jesus on our side, we did not have any major issues at all!

More than 60 of us were on this intercessory prayer mission trip, including my wife Maryse and little girl Brianna. I must say that the Catch The Fire team were just absolutely fantastic as everyone worked together so well and helped each other, which made the trip so pleasant and very exciting

For the first few days we stayed in the Palestinian controlled areas. The Jews & Palestinians were all very nice to us. We had many opportunities to share the love of Jesus and to pray with them. In fact, our bus driver who was a Palestinian Arab Muslim gave his life to Jesus!

Every site we visited in the Holy Land was so special and almost every site had been secured by mainline churches. Thank God for them, because if not for them, there possibly would be no Christian sites to visit in Israel. However, it was most depressing in many of these traditional religious places, as everyone was told to be silent in respect of the holy sites. We at CTFM did play by the rules at first, but then I remembered that Jesus is alive, not dead, and we needed to bring back the joy of the Lord! So I went up to the priest at every site and very kindly challenged him that we should celebrate that Jesus is alive! This strategy was successful at almost every place as we were given permission by the priests to praise and worship the Lord out loud in public! This was fantastic and brought great excitement into many of the traditional religious parts of the trip as we took over lifted our hands to worship the Lord! (more…)

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: “We Will Never Divide Jerusalem”

by Teresa Neumann : May 14, 2010 : Staff – The Jerusalem Post
The truth is that Jerusalem is our lifeblood. We have an indissoluble connection to it.”

(Jerusalem, Israel)—Israel’s capital will never be divided, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said during a speech in honor of Jerusalem Day on Wednesday, May 12.

“We cannot divide or freeze a city as vibrant and creative as Jerusalem – we will continue to build and be built by it,” he said. “Jerusalem Day is the day on which Jerusalem was finally liberated, and was able to take all of its residents, Jewish and Arab, under its wings. Never again shall it be suffocated, gloomy or divided.”

As reported in the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu’s speech centered on the interaction between peace and truth.

“We are the generation which was lucky enough to see our holy sites liberated and returned to our hands, and it is upon us to transfer this right to our children,” he said.

“The truth is that Jerusalem is our lifeblood. We have an indissoluble connection to it.”

An AP report noted that Netanyahu quoted the Bible frequently when defending the state of Israel, saying: “Because you asked: Jerusalem is mentioned 142 times in the New Testament, and none of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. But in an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem.”  (more…)

CTFM Israel mission great success – Part 1 / Mini revival in the aircrafts and transit hotel

Flag of IsraelPastor Daniel and his wife leading the CTFM tour in IsraelDear family and friends in Christ,

All glory and honor to the King of kings and the Lord of lords as our mission to Israel which was a great success!

I really do not know where to start. Possibly, there is not enough words to explain all that happened. I cannot write it all at once, but will try to send it across as part 1, 2, 3, etc.

On the 27th May, arouClnd 50 of us from Catch The Fire Ministries boarded the Malaysian Airlines plane in Melbourne. From the time we boarded the aircraft, we knew God was with us and something exciting was going to happen.

As the plane began moving down the runway, we were all very surprised when the pilot said, “Welcome to all at Catch The Fire Ministries. May you all have a great and safe pilgrimage to the Holy Land.” We were so happy and amazed to receive this welcome aboard Malaysian Airlines.

As we were high up in the sky over Australia, all the generals of prayer were ready to fire their weapons of the Holy Spirit (praying in tongues) at 4pm the planned time to unite heaven and earth in prayer. I had told the cabin crew that we were going to pray and suddenly there appeared on all the television screens behind every single seat throughout the whole aircraft the words, “Catch The Fire Ministries please pray for Australia – Ps Daniel.” (more…)

Israel and the Gaza flotilla

Temple Mount in Jerusalem, IsraelSalt Shakers E-News – 3rd June 2010

If you relied on the mainstream media for your news about the recent incident with the Israeli armed forces boarding the flotilla of boats that was sailing for Gaza that resulted in casualties, you’d have a fairly one-sided view of things.

Media reports have referred to ‘an aid convey’, ‘peace activists’ and ‘humanitarian aid’ and the number of these ‘peace activists’ who were killed.

Yet a Turkish Islamist group connected to Al Qa’ida was responsible for the ‘convoy’…. read on for another look at the issue…

Reports of national leaders condemning Israel for their actions have been prominent, including from PM Kevin Rudd. Little mention was made of the fact that Egypt did not join in the condemnation. One report noted, in the last line of their article, that Egypt had been silent – but they didn’t explain that Egypt had also imposed a blockade on Gaza along with Israel because of Hamas being in control in Gaza!

Protests by Islamic and left-wing groups around the world condemned Israel. In Sydney, a protest was led by Sheik al Hilaly, the former Islamic mufti of Australia -  SMH reported “Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly, from Lakemba mosque, addressed the protest, calling Israel a terrorist state. He held up a Turkish flag, chanting ”Turkey is coming”, before leading the protesters on the march down George Street.”

The ABC’s Kerry O’Brien interviewed a spokesmen for Israel’s foreign ministry – who explained what had happened and pointed out that the convoy to try and break the sanctions was coordinated by an Islamist group from Turkey called the the Turkish IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi) that Israel has designated a terrorist organization. Nevertheless the ABC ignored this and continued with their approach of condemning the Israeli soldiers for boarding the ships. (View report here  – scroll down to “Israel faces criticism over fatal raid on Gaza aid ship”). They spoke to people on some ships who assured the media that they didn’t have guns or weapons and it was all ‘peaceful’.

A Brutal Ambush at Sea

Ron Ben Yishai recounts the bloody clash aboard Gaza-bound vessel: The lacking crowd-dispersal means, the brutal violence of ‘peace activists,’ and the attempt to bring down an IDF helicopter.

Our Navy commandoes fell right into the hands of the Gaza mission members. A few minutes before the takeover attempt aboard the Marmara got underway, the operation commander was told that 20 people were waiting on the deck where a helicopter was to deploy the first team of the elite Flotilla 13 unit. The original plan was to disembark on the top deck, and from there rush to the vessel’s bridge and order the Marmara’s captain to stop.

Officials estimated that passengers will show slight resistance, and possibly minor violence; for that reason, the operation’s commander decided to bring the helicopter directly above the top deck. The first rope that soldiers used in order to descend down to the ship was wrested away by activists, most of them Turks, and tied to an antenna with the hopes of bringing the chopper down. However, Flotilla 13 fighters decided to carry on.

Navy commandoes slid down to the vessel one by one, yet then the unexpected occurred: The passengers that awaited them on the deck pulled out bats, clubs, and slingshots with glass marbles, assaulting each soldier as he disembarked. The fighters were nabbed one by one and were beaten up badly, yet they attempted to fight back. (more…)

The Perfect Storm – The True Story in Israel

Israeli FlagJerusalem Prayer Team – Mike Evans Ministries

On May 31, Israel walked straight into a trap—a trap set by a group of so-called activists determined to break Israeli attempts to halt the flow of arms and war materiel into the Gaza strip.

Having been warned in advance that the intent of the Free Gaza movement flotilla was to shatter the Israeli blockade, the IDF prepared to board the ships and divert them to Ashdod for inspection. A member of the Free Gaza organization credited with launching the flotilla, Greta Berlin, clarified the intent of the group: “We’re not trying to be a humanitarian mission.”

Apparently, Israel was ill-informed that the ship carried 700 pro-Palestinian activists prepared to do whatever necessary to reach their goal. American-born pro-Palestinian activist Hawaida Arraf threw down the gauntlet with the assertion: “We fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation or threats of violence against us. They are going to have to forcefully stop us.”

According to Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon “the armada of hate and violence in support of the Hamas terror organization was a premeditated and outrageous provocation. The organizers are well-known for their ties to Global Jihad, Al-Qaeda and Hamas. They have a history of arms smuggling and deadly terror. On board the ship we found weapons that were prepared in advance and used against our forces…” (more…)

Drama at Sea – War on Israel

Standing With IsraelSituation at sea as reported in Jerusalem Post, HaAretz, and Ynet – 1st June 2010

Hysterical reports and misinformation have beclouded the unfolding confrontation between the Gaza Flotilla and the Israeli Navy. NTV, the Turkish Television, reports up to 15 people killed, others reported 14. Perhaps the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) own reporting is the most accurate; it reported 10 dead and 10 commandos wounded, 2 seriously.

The Israeli military said ten activists were killed after its troops came under fire while intercepting the convoy.

“Navy fighters took control of six ships that tried to violate the naval blockade (of the Gaza Strip) …During the takeover, the soldiers encountered serious physical violence by the protesters, who attacked them with live fire,” a military statement said.

Activists attacked a commando with iron bars as he descended onto the ship from a helicopter, the army said. The IDF said its rules of engagement allowed troops to open fire in what it called a “life-threatening situation.” (more…)

Tolerating Ahmadinejad’s Jew-Hate

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejadby Anav Silverman on Apr 14th, 2010

Four years ago, the International Conference to Review the Global Vision of the Holocaust’ was held in Tehran on December 11, 2006. Manouchehr Mottaki, the Iranian Foreign Minister, stated at the time that the aim of the conference was to “neither to deny nor prove the Holocaust but to provide an appropriate scientific atmosphere for scholars to offer their opinions in freedom about a historical issue.”

Those who contributed to the scientific atmosphere at the conference, included David Duke, a Ku Klux Klan leader and former US state representative, Robert Faurisson, a convicted Holocaust denier from France and a number of other academic professors and educators all engaged in Holocaust Denial research and rhetoric. One such professor, Dr. Fredrick Toben, an Australian citizen, runs an Internet site vilifying Jews while promoting that Nazis did not commit the mass murder of the Jewish people. Several right-extremist politicians from Germany’s neo-Nazi NPD party were invited as well, although the German government barred them from attending.

However, the central purpose of the conference went beyond providing a friendly environment for international Holocaust deniers to share their twisted sentiments. The Iranian Foreign Minister elaborated that “If the official version of the Holocaust is thrown into doubt, then the identity and nature of Israel will be thrown into doubt. And if, during this review, it is proved that the Holocaust was a historical reality, then what is the reason for the Palestinians having to pay the cost of the Nazis’ crimes?” (more…)

PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU’S SPEECH ON HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin NethanyahuPress Release from the office of the Prime Minister of Israel

Tonight, the eve of Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day,  we remember our brothers and sisters who were murdered in the death camps,  in the forests and in the killing fields. We listen to the voices of the survivors who serve as the voice of the millions who died. Before their deaths, many of the murdered begged, “Do not forget us. Tell our story—tell the world, tell the coming generations – how great our suffering was, how terrible the horror was, how great our sacrifice was.”

Several months ago, I headed the Israeli delegation to the ceremony marking 65 years since the liberation of the death camps Auschwitz and Birkenau. The candle-lighting ceremony took place outside in front of the monument. It was 15 degrees Celsius below zero, but it was still warmer than the terrible winter of 1944-1945 when temperatures ranged from 30 to 35 degrees below zero. We stood for about 30 minutes during the ceremony, well-dressed for the weather, nevertheless, we were freezing. Suddenly I understood a simple, chilling truth about millions of my brothers and sisters who ended up in that cursed place: those who didn’t burn, froze; and those who didn’t freeze, burned.

Several months earlier, I visited the Wannsee Villa in Berlin. There, I saw the original invitation for the meeting of high-level Nazi officials, in which they decided to wipe out the Jewish people. On the invitation that was sent by the Deputy Head of the SS was written: “The chief of the Reich main security office, Reinhard Heydrich, cordially invites you to a discussion about the Final Solution to the Jewish problem. Breakfast will be served at 09:00.” This is how, in an elegant villa on the shore of a pastoral lake, over breakfast and glasses of cognac, 15 men sat and decided how to destroy our people. No one batted an eyelid; no one expressed any doubt regarding the mission, either its necessity or its justness. (more…)

ISRAEL CELEBRATES ITS INDEPENDENCE

Israeli FlagThe Jerusalem Post

Israelis celebrated 62 years since the founding of the Jewish state with fireworks and street parties after sundown on Monday 20th April. The festivities continued until sundown on Tuesday, with thousands flocking to parks and nature reserves for traditional barbecues and family gatherings. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed the day as a “double miracle in the life of the Jewish people”. “The first miracle is the restoration of Jewish sovereignty,” Netanyahu said in an Independence Day message.

“The second miracle is what we’ve done since the establishment of the Jewish state. Israel is fast becoming a regional economic power and one of the world’s leading technological powers,” he said. Israel was founded on May 14, 1948, which according to the Jewish calendar corresponds this year to April 20. Celebrations began after a state ceremony that marks the annual transition from a day of mourning for Israel’s fallen to Independence Day celebrations.

Earlier in the day, traffic ground to a halt across Israel as drivers joined pedestrians in two minutes of silence while sirens wailed in commemoration of fallen soldiers and attack victims. The memorial day started at sunset on Sunday and continues for 24 hours. For the duration, radio stations play sombre music and television channels replaced regular entertainment programs with documentaries on Israel’s wars. The two minutes of silence was announced by air raid sirens at 11am (1800 AEST) and official ceremonies were scheduled at dozens of military cemeteries and memorials. (more…)

Son of Hamas Founder Shares Faith Journey, Reveals He Spied for Israel in New Book

Son of Hamas Founder now following Christ02 March 2010 – Ken Walker – Featured News Charisma Online

The son of a Hamas founder whose Christian conversion made international headlines released the complete story of his faith journey Tuesday in a memoir brimming with spy-novel-like drama.

Son of Hamas by Mosab Hassan Yousef details a six-year-long conversion process that originated with a Bible study in Jerusalem and resulted in his departure from the Islamic terrorist organization. He was baptized in 2005 near Tel Aviv in a ceremony performed by a San Diego woman visiting the church that Yousef attended.

The 31-year-old says his faith has sustained him ever since, particularly since leaving his homeland in 2007. The pain of separation is better understood when one reads his account of the lifelong, close-knit ties forged by Palestinian families.

“Whenever I compare my pain to [Christ’s], I forget my pain,” said Yousef, who lives on the West Coast.

“When I feel alone in this journey, I know that He feels with me because He went through much worse. Every step I get closer to the cross I learn more about His sacrifice and pain, which absolutely makes me forget about my pain.” (more…)
