(Washington, D.C.)—A March 23 report in Haaretz describes the highly charged difference of opinions addressed in Washington when Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. In contrast, however, at the same time, the Prime Minister received an overwhelming voice of support and a standing ovation from nearly 8,000 attendants after delivering a powerful speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
The Prime Minister reportedly spoke several hours after Secretary Clinton charged that Israel’s building in parts of Jerusalem that the United States does not recognize as being under Israeli sovereignty “undermines” U.S. policy.
Noted the report in Haaretz, when Netanyahu spoke, he “pointed out that Israel has made constant to the concessions to the United States and Palestinian Authority but drew the red line at Jerusalem, reasoning that building houses for Jews in all of united Jerusalem in no way precludes the possibility of a two-state solution. More than half of the American Congressmen were among the more than 7,000 people listening to the speech at the annual conference of the pro-Israel lobby group in Washington. Obama Says NO to Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital
Following two lengthy meetings at the White House on Tuesday between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Obama, including a second unscheduled meeting, relations between the two nations remained icy. The White House refused to release the normal photos or briefings that would accompany such an event, leading observers to wonder if the silence was intended to punish Israel for the “insult” to Vice President Biden of announcing the construction of homes for Jewish people on Jewish land during his visit.

Observers had hoped that the high-level meetings would begin to repair the relationship, but that does not appear to be the case. The sticking point appears to be the Obama Administration’s insistence that Jerusalem is an issue that must be negotiated rather than acknowledging the ancient City of David as the rightful and eternal capital of Israel.
But despite the pressure, my friend Benjamin Netanyahu is standing firm. “Jerusalem is not a settlement—it is our capital!” he proclaimed at a dinner prior to his meeting with President Obama. He further told Secretary of State Clinton that Israel’s policy toward building homes in Jerusalem has remained unchanged for more than forty years and that it will not be changing, despite the protests of the United States. A Messianic evangelist believes revival is breaking out among Jewish communities in the U.S.
Sid Roth, founder of Georgia-based Messianic Vision and host of the It’s Supernatural television broadcast, said he has seen dozens of Jewish Americans profess faith in Christ in recent months during evangelistic events in New York and California.
Last summer in Brighton Beach, N.Y., nearly 400 Russian Jews reportedly attended an evangelistic meeting billed as a lecture on the paranormal. People were healed, Roth said, including a wheelchair-bound woman who had not been able to walk for five years.
“There was just a move of God’s Spirit, and almost the entire group stood up to make public professions of Messiah,” Roth told Charisma.
Later, at a similar meeting in California, roughly 30 Jews professed faith in Christ. “In my opinion this is unprecedented in America,” said Roth, who has ministered among Jewish communities in the Soviet Union for more than 15 years. “I’ve been in Jewish ministry over 35 years, and I’ve never heard of anything like this before.” (more…)

Secret talks held to discuss how to respond to retaliatory attacks

TEL AVIV – Intelligence officials from Israel, Egypt, Jordan and the U.S. held a meeting last week to discuss specific responses to Iranian retaliatory attacks during a potential war with Tehran, WND has learned.
A senior Egyptian intelligence official told WND the main talks, which took place in Amman, revolved around the possibility of Iranian-directed Palestinian and Islamic attacks against Israel, Egypt and Jordan during a possible future war with Iran.
The official said scenarios discussed revolved only around Iranian retaliatory attacks and did not take into account how any future war with Iran would be initiated or the timing of such a war.
The official said the concern was that Iran would use proxies such as Hamas in the Gaza Strip to attack both Egypt and Israel, while Hezbollah in Lebanon would launch missiles at Israeli population centers, including Tel Aviv.

Pastor Daniel said, “I get so excited when I go to the shopping mall and hear Christmas carols celebrating the birth of Jesus! This is the only time of the year that the name of Jesus Christ is so freely mentioned and highly exalted through songs of praise and worship! I pray you will have a great Christmas and that God may bless you richly in the New Year 2010!”
The CTFM carols by candlelight was a great evening of singing, praise & worship. This Holy Spirit anointed night included special musical items, African rythm and dancing, children’s presentation, and a great prophetic word from the Bible regarding the birth of Jesus!
The new Catch the Fire Ministries Apostolic Centre was packed out with men, women, and children from many denominations, churches, and nationalities!
The ushers had to bring more chairs from the offices to accomodate the swelling crowd of worshippers! Â
Ahmadinejad: Obama Must Choose Iran or Israel

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said President Barack Obama must choose between Israel and Iran. The comment was made Tuesday in Istanbul during an economic address before the 57-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference.
“The support of both Israel and Iran can’t go hand in hand. No change is made unless great choices are made,” said Ahmadinejad. “We will clasp any hand that is extended sincerely toward us, but changes should be made in practice.”
During a briefing at the Middle East Institute in Washington, Undersecretary of State William Burns responded to the remarks: “We seek a relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran based upon mutual interest and mutual respect. We do not seek regime change. We have condemned terrorist attacks against Iran.
