I am afraid that our culture in general has reduced the role of fatherhood (along with marriage itself) to something nonessential or unnecessary. Even many men today regard parenting as being primarily the mother’s role and somehow no longer associated with masculinity or “real†manhood.
Instead, many have succumbed to modern cultural caricatures-encouraged by feminist psychology-and the primitive label of hunter-gatherer, and thus assume that this is their main contribution to the family. As a result too many men, including professing Christian men, express their role as father exclusively in terms of financial provider. The fact is children are not looking for financial provision; they are looking for love, guidance, and a role model for what it means to be a man.
During the colonial period in America men defined themselves by their level of community involvement and fatherhood. Marriage and fatherhood were seen as being among the highest aspirations in a man’s life. Today the highest aspirations of men seem to be career success and personal leisure; and against these they seek to balance marriage and family.

PORTLAND, OREGON (ANS) — Behind every successful man, the saying goes, there’s a good woman. And that’s often the case. But have you ever considered that behind almost every successful wife and mother, there’s a good man?
That is the message of Proverbs 31. Only the Lord Himself knows how many articles and sermons, books and seminars have extolled the virtues of the Wonder Woman described in this poetic passage. The only problem is that they have usually forgotten to mention the other main character—the Good Husband!
Was Proverbs 31 ever intended to be an idealistic standard for women to attain by themselves? Not at all. Instead, this passage of Scripture, like the rest of Proverbs, was written originally as a challenge to men.
It’s all too easy for guys to read Proverbs 31:10-31 rather flippantly — “Wow, if only I had a wife like this!†— without stopping to notice what these verses say about this woman’s rather remarkable husband.

The battle for Marriage continues here as it does elsewhere in the world – we knew it was going to be tough because too many have already compromised over the issue of homosexual relationships.
The illegitimacy of these unnatural relationships has been compromised by governments, Christians and Christians denominations across the world which have allowed the unnatural to be called natural despite all the evidence to the contrary.
Â
In the last week, in the USA, the battle took another turn for the worst – President Obama has given so much ground that he will now NOT support an Act of Parliament which was passed by the overwhelming vote of both houses of Congress and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1996 – DOMA – the Defence of Marriage Act.
Â
The NEW Republican dominated House of Representatives in the USA hired a law firm to defend that Act in the Courts. Attached is a one page transcript of what have happened in the last few days – not from an ‘activist’ but from Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dear family & friends in Christ,
Please join together with us to wish Pr Daniel & his wife Maryse a very happy anniversary and God’s richest blessings, as they celebrate their 24th wedding anniversary today the 28th of march.
Yesterday at church we had the opportunity to Pray for and Honour this Man & Woman of God, who have endured much for the Kingdom of God and come through many challenges in life. They have been such a role model to all of us and we thank God for sending them to Australia, to see our nation come back to Jesus.
It is very rare to see a family so committed to the Lord and Pr Daniel’s willingness to keep standing for the truth of the Word of God at a time when there is so much compromise for political correctness.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
CAPE TOWN, South Africa – The mood was light Tuesday evening – thanks to leg-swinging praise music – when Lausanne III participants wrestled with the difficult topics of reconciliation in the Middle East, HIV/AIDS, and human trafficking.
Speakers gave hopeful messages of how God is moving and bringing hope despite addressing some of the darkest and seemingly most hopeless situations in the world today.
The Middle East, which has become almost synonymous with violence and Islam, is experiencing an unprecedented level of Muslims becoming followers of Jesus Christ, said Sam Yeghnazar, founder of Iran-focused Elam Ministries. There were only about 500 Iranian Christians from a Muslim background at the time of Lausanne I in 1974, he said. But over the past 30 years, more Muslims have come to Christ than in the past 1,300 years.
“Iran today is a closed land with countless open hearts,†said Yeghnazar. “It is the most open nation to the Gospel in the entire world. Tens of thousands of Iranians are turning to Christ.â€
“Betrayed by the government, disillusioned with the religion, depressed by the prospects of the future, Iranians when they come to know the Lord Jesus Christ are completely transformed,†he said. “They proclaim Christ in the marketplace. Entire families, men and women, are coming to Christ.”

For years statistics have shown that Christian marriages are just as likely to end in divorce as non-Christian ones. Adding to the bleak snapshot of the American church is the fact that clergy divorce rates are lock step with their congregations. But pastor Isaac Pitre and his wife, Denisha, (pictured above) who helm Christ Nations Church in Texarkana, Texas, say God wants to restore all marriages-even if couples have already divorced.
Charisma recently spoke with the pair, who remarried each other six years after their 2003 divorce. You can hear the entire interview at pitre.charismamag.com.
Charisma: After 10 years of being married, what led to your divorce?
Isaac Pitre: It was basically just not understanding that my ministry was really to be at home and to [Denisha] as much as it was to the church and the world.
Charisma: What caused the two of you to reconcile your relationship?
Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall.
The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama.
Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer.
He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama!

Dear family & friends in Christ,
The past week has been full of Kingdom action and great excitement in Hallam (Melbourne), Bega & Merimbula (NSW), and Deer Park (Melbourne) as the Holy Spirit continues to increasingly save, heal, deliver and set precious souls free, preparing them for the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in victory, power, and glory!
1) Last week on Tuesday a couple came into Pr Daniel’s office for some counselling as they were about to separate. After he counselled and ministered to them, he laid hands on both and started praying for them. At this point the woman started manifesting with demons. He then called in a few from the CTFM team and started casting the demons out of her body as she was screaming and vomiting.
Just then he had the prompting from the Holy Spirit to take her into the main auditorium of our church. As we took her in she began protesting saying “No, no” and refused to go in. As she saw the Cross, the remaining demons started screaming, ‘The cross is burning me”. Pr Daniel told the demons “look at the Cross, this is where you were defeated at Calvary!” We took her right up to the Cross more demons left her body as we prayed in the authority of the blood of Jesus.
Then he asked her, (as she was already a born again Christian attending a Pentecostal church for years), “Can you sing a song to Jesus?” Then she started singing, “My burdens are lifted at Calvery, Jesus is very near”, through her tears. Â
Pr Daniel stated, “Tears filled my eyes as I saw a woman just getting touched by God mightily. It is so very exciting to see the demons flee and people getting set free in Jesus name. We need more of this in Church. Glory to God!”
The woman who could not tell her husbnd ‘I love you” was now able to do so, after she had been delievered from demons. Praise our Mighty God Jesus!
A leading law professor has contradicted Chancellor Angela Merkel’s statement that Sharia law was not practiced in Germany, saying a variety of Sharia-based rulings were being made all the time.
“We have been practising Islamic law for years, and that is a good thing,†Hilmar Krüger, professor for foreign private law at Cologne University, told Der Spiegel magazine.
Family and inheritance rulings were often made according to Sharia law, he said, listing a range of examples.
Women who are in polygamous marriages legal in their countries of origin can make claims of their husbands in Germany regardless of the fact that their marriages would not be lawful here. They can claim maintenance from their husbands and a share of an eventual inheritance, said Krüger.
Dr Graham McLennan from the Canberra Declaration said, “We are calling the people of faith in Australia to set aside Sunday 31 October 2010 as a National Day of Prayer and Fasting for Life. A wave of anti-life sentiment seems to be sweeping Australia. Let us call to the author of life and ask him to intervene in our nation. You might be able to miss a meal, refuse dessert or fast for the day. Ask your friends to do the same. Ask your church to join with youâ€.
Â
Dr Lachlan Dunjey from Medicine with Morality and one of the supporters of the Canberra Declaration said, “The battle for the intrinsic value of all human life intensifies across Australia with the push for euthanasia, unrestricted abortion, the elimination of all that is less than perfect, destructive embryo research and the overriding of conscience in medicine. It is more important than ever before for God’s people to declare that all humanity is created in the Image of God and support this Declaration. People in Victoria please watch www.repealsection8.net.au over the weeks prior to the state election Nov 27 2010 to see how you can vote to support right over wrongâ€.
Â
In the 1890s when Australians were forming the Constitution and the Federal Parliament, it was the intention of the people that the nation could be called to days of prayer and fasting. This national day of prayer and fasting is a move to fulfill those wishes.

Dear Family & Friends in Christ,
We at CTFM have been crying out to the Lord for years to see the supernatural release of His healing power. We thank God we have being seeing a trickle of it in the past 2 years but we know that this is going to increase. We are praying for mighty rivers of healing to flow in Jesus Name!
The Father’s Day weekend was great! Many fathers who came for the meetings were mightily touched by God. There was also the launch of a new CD titled “ Highly Lifted Up†by one of the CTFM Worship Leaders, Bro Ola. People were so blessed by listening to parts of the CD.
Below are 2 powerful testimonies shared at the CTFM base on Sunday the 5th of September 2010.
2) Two Weeks ago Ps Daniel received a call from a lady who wanted him to pray for her husband Brian, who was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, and was on life support in the ICU at Cabrini Hospital.Â
Later the same day she called again and told him to somehow get to the hospital and pray for Brian as his condition was much worse and that the doctor told her he might not make it through the night. That evening Ps Daniel went along with Nevin from the CTFM team to the hospital to pray.
Dear Fathers,
Â
I take this opportunity to Thank and Salute all Fathers around the world. You guys are just amazing! Keep standing up for Jesus, fight for your families and the nation. Remember you are the head of the house, you are a Priest and Shepherd.
Â
A Godly Father is a Man of Prayer
Â
A Godly Father is kind, loving, compassionate, a good provider, honest, hardworking, generous, forgiving, humble, faithful and reliable towards his wife and children. He fears God and is obedient to His Word.
A Father cannot fully love his children and fulfill his role as a parent without having the knowledge and love of God, because Since God is the perfect Father, one of the most important things we can do is get to know God better and seek him.
