Should we pray for Julia Gillard’s salvation?? By Pr Daniel

Parliament House Canberra, AustraliaDear family & friends in Christ,

The last few months have been very exciting and challenging with people from all walks of life entering the debate about the upcoming Federal Election this Saturday 21st August.

I first want to thank you all for your overwhelming support through the many responses we have received. I would love to respond to every email, but unfortunately it is not practically possible, as I too have a family. My motto is Jesus first, family second and ministry third.

A few people have asked me, “Pastor, should we not pray for Julia Gillard’s salvation? Maybe once she wins the election she might become a Christian. Don’t we as Christians have to love her? Nothing is impossible with God.” And the list goes on and on.

Let me say this, we have to definitely pray for Julia Gillard’s salvation, we even pray for Bob Brown’s salvation.

When the election was announced, during that first week, we had one of our RUA prayer meeting in the western suburbs of Melbourne in Ms Gillard’s electorate. Around 20 of us went down to her office, placed oil on the doors and windows, and prayed for an hour around the place. (more…)

Media Release: Five reasons why Australians should not vote for Ms Gillard as PM – vote for Labor is a vote for the Greens

PM Julia GillardMedia release – For immediate release

Five reasons why Australians should not vote for Ms Gillard as PM – vote for Labor is a vote for the Greens

A vote for Labor means a vote for the Greens, according to Dr Daniel Nalliah, President of Catch the Fire Ministries (CTFM) – an inter-denominational Para-church Ministry with more than 60 bases across Australia and reaching tens of thousands of voters across the nation.

Dr Nalliah has given five reasons why Australians should not vote for Ms Gillard as Prime Minister at the upcoming federal election on August 21.

Central to the objection is the realization that a vote for Labor will essentially be a vote for the Greens. “Do you really want Bob Brown and the Greens to run our country?” Dr Nalliah said.

“Ms Gillard’s close alliance with the Greens means if Australians vote for Labor they will actually be voting for the Greens,” he said.

1. A vote for Labor will be a vote for Greens. “The current alliance that Labor has forged with the Greens is a real disaster for Australia and Australians. We are sure that this election will be a very close one in which Labor will have to go to bed with the Greens to get into power.  This will result in Greens policy constantly reflected in every decision Labor makes. CTFM Israel mission report part 3 / Woman raised from the dead / by Pastor Daniel

Diana with Dr Murray and Geraldine of CTFM in Hospital Dear family & friends in Christ,

I am sure this part 3 report of God’s mighty power at work right in the Nation of Israel will greatly bless and encourage you to know that we serve a God of miracles!

On the last day of our tour in Israel we all boarded the 2 buses and started on our journey to cross the border into Jordan to visit mount Nebo before proceeding to the Amman Airport for our flights the same day.

In my bus was a lady by the name of Diana from Wagga Wagga in NSW, which is 4 hours from Melbourne, Australia, who had joined us on the tour. Also in the same bus was a Doctor by the name of Murray from Western Australia.

All seemed normal, except for the fact that we were sad to leave Israel, so as usual we started worshipping and singing praises to God. I was seated at the front of the bus as I was using the microphone to lead the people in worship.

While we were driving we were also talking about how great it was to visit the tombs of Lazarus and Jesus, as they were both raised from the dead in Israel over two thousand years ago. Suddenly I heard some shouting in the bus. At first I did not take much notice, but then my wife shouted out, “Danny, Danny come here.” She had just noticed something that she had seen a few times in ministry before.

Spiritual War report and thank you to Bill Muehlenberg of CultureWatch

Bill Muehlenberg of CultureWatchDear family & friends in Christ,

Pastor Daniel and a team from Catch The Fire attended the below mentioned debate in order to prayerfully support Bill Muehlenberg in his stand for the Lord’s righteousness. We want to thank the Lord for people like Bill who stand up for the truth of the Word of God. He did a fantastic job in standing up for marriage between a man and a woman as God has ordained it to be in His Word.

At the end of the debate Pastor Daniel with a few others approached Rodney Croome and asked him, “Is Federal Labor or Liberal more sympathetic to the homosexual cause?” He first refused to make a clear statement, but then acknowledged that under Labor they were able to get 80 + pieces of legislation passed in Parliament to support homosexuality, which they could not do under the Howard Liberal era.

Following is one of Bill Muehlenberg’s recent emails with some very important information for your continued prayer and moral support in fighting the good fight of faith in our nation of Australia. (more…)

Special message to all Mothers from Pr Daniel

Happy Mother\'s DayDear Mothers all over the World,

I want to first thank my mother for praying me into the Kingdom of God. She is now in her late 70’s and is a mighty prayer warrior for Jesus. I look forward to seeing her next month in Sri Lanka.

I also want to thank my beautiful wife for being such a great mum to our children. I thank God everyday for her.

I also want to thank all you wonderful mums for your prayers, faithfulness, and all the hard work you put in as a mum’s work never ends. It seems like a mum starts her work early in the morning and go on all day until its very late and time for bed. Very often we forget to see all the pain and suffering that many mums are going through. I know many Dads go through the same, but this is Mother’s Day.

So we just want to say “WE LOVE YOU MUMS, YOU ARE SO SPECIAL!”

May God bless you abundantly and give you the desires of your heart!

Following is an interesting article that I hope you like about ‘A Mother’s Love: Priceless’

Many Blessings/ Pr Daniel

God’s definition of ‘family’

by Greg Laurie – March 13, 2010

In my last column, I made a case for a biblical worldview, based on the watershed truth that there is a living God, and He has revealed Himself in Scripture.

With this in mind, we can ready ourselves to discuss some of the more controversial, “hot-button” issues in our culture today.

Going back to the Ten Commandments, you may remember that this list of 10 can be divided into two sections. The first four commands deal with man’s relationship with God, and the second six speak to man’s relationship with man. It is that second grouping of commandments in Exodus 20 that will speak most clearly to our “hot button” issues.

Verse 12: “Honor your father and mother …”

Isn’t it interesting … before a word is spoken about how to treat others, God starts with the family. (more…)

Divorce-proofing your marriage

By Greg Laurie – February 13, 2010

My wife and I celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary a little over a week ago. I remember the day we were married as though it were yesterday. Cathe was a vision of beauty as she walked down the aisle, while I had long hair and a big, bushy red beard. I was also wearing the ugliest tuxedo ever made. Now as I look at those old photos, I have to ask, “What was I thinking?” But we are grateful for how faithful God has been to both of us over the years.

Sometimes couples will ask me to redo their vows. I don’t have a problem with that, but I have never felt a great desire for Cathe and me to do this. We haven’t broken them yet, and we don’t plan on breaking them. So I think once is good enough, because I meant them when I said them to Cathe, and I know she meant them when she said them to me as well.

From the very beginning, we sought to build our marriage on biblical principles. Now, I know a little bit about marriage and a little bit about divorce. I have never been divorced, but my mother was married and divorced seven times. She went through a lot of what might be described as relationships, though I don’t really think they were. So for many years of my childhood, I saw how not to do things. Then, when I was getting married, I knew that I was about to make a lifelong commitment that I planned, by the grace of God, to honor and keep. (more…)

40 Days for Life: an Early Report

40 Days for Lifeby Aimee Herd/David Bereit : Feb 24, 2010 : 40 Days for Life

“Jesus is really, really using us to save lives!”

The 40 Days for Life spring prayer vigils began last week and fantastic testimonies are already pouring in—there have been at least 55 babies’ lives saved so far.

Below is a report from a vigil in Florida. To find out more about 40 Days for Life, and to find a prayer vigil in your area, CLICK HERE, or follow the source link provided.

Report: Early Sunday morning, local coordinator Ernie Cyr sent out an urgent message to 40 Days for Life volunteers in Pensacola, Florida. He had just found out that abortions were taking place at the city’s only abortion facility. Yes, on the Lord’s day.

Ernie’s request for prayer volunteers at the 40 Days for Life vigil was quickly answered.

It would soon become apparent that their prayers were being answered as well.

A woman drove up and told the vigil participants, “I called my sister and convinced her not to have an abortion!” (more…)

Sarah Palin: We Won’t Get Over Abortion, Real Women’s Advocates Pro-Life

Potential 2012 Presidential Candidate Sarah PalinLife News | 1/21/10 | Steven Ertelt – Posted on 23 January 2010

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has a message for the mainstream media and abortion advocates. In a new note encouraging pro-life advocates at the March for Life, the former Alaska governor says pro-life people won’t “get over” abortion because abortions hurt women.
