June 09, 2016 – Associated Press

Pastor Richie Clendenen stepped away from the pulpit, microphone in hand. He walked the aisles of the Christian Fellowship Church, his voice rising to describe the perils believers face in 21st-century America.

“The Bible says in this life you will have troubles, you will have persecutions. And Jesus takes it a step further: You’ll be hated by all nations for my name’s sake,” he said.

“Let me tell you,” the minister said, “that time is here.”

As Muslims pray and fast during Ramadan, ‘Man in White’ appears in dreams and visions

June 13, 2016 – by Mark Ellis

Jesus appeared in dreams to this descendant of Muhammad

As hundreds of millions of Muslims fast and pray during Ramadan this month, with many seeking to grow closer to Allah, others are finding Jesus.

“God is moving very powerfully using dreams and visions Muslims are having of the Man in white, of Jesus Himself,” author Joel Rosenberg told CBN recently.

He quoted a 19-page study describing an extraordinary move of God among Muslims.

“From 1960 to 2010, the number of Muslims that have converted to faith in Jesus Christ has grown from fewer than 200,000 to some 10 million people” Rosenberg told CBN.

Son of Hamas’ tells Jerusalem Post conference: Islam is the problem

Jerusalem Post ^ | May 22, 2016 | ARIEL BEN SOLOMON

Mosab Hassan Yousef – the “Green Prince” – who worked as an Israeli spy, said “the Jewish nation is dear to me and when I see nations fighting against the Jewish people it hurts me.”

Speaking at The Jerusalem Post’s annual conference in New York on Sunday, Yousef noted that at one point he was working for and being paid by Israel, the US, the PA and Hamas, all at the same time.

Yousef, the son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, helped the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) thwart attacks from 1997 to 2007. He later went on to write an autobiography published in 2010 titled Son of Hamas.

He converted to Christianity and fled to the US where he was granted political asylum.

Churches See Ramadan as a Time to Pray for Muslims

June 06, 2016 – CBN News

Churches across the country are participating in an annual 30 days of prayer for the Muslim world.

It begins today, coinciding with Ramadan, an important month of fasting and religious observance for Muslims.

The 30 days of prayer for the Muslim world is an international movement that began in 1993. Christians worldwide are called to make an intentional and respectful effort during that period to learn about, pray for and reach out to Muslim neighbors.

Evangelist Will Graham Returns to Australian Outback, Reaps a Great Harvest from Others’ Dedicated Sowing

Erik Ogren : Jun 3, 2016 : BillyGraham.org

“In Alice Springs we harvested fruit that we did not sow. Particularly among the indigenous people, Dr. Bell and other missionaries planted the seeds of faith in Jesus Christ decades ago, and we were able to see the result last weekend.”

Evangelist Will Graham returned to Australia last week – a continent on which he’s preached biannually since 2010 – to share the hope of Jesus in the arid Outback. The three-day event, titled Reality, was held May 20-22 at Blatherskite Park in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. (Photo via Billy Graham Evangelistic Association)

Alice Springs is located in the approximate center of the continent, nearly equidistant between Darwin on the northern coast of Australia and Adelaide on the southern coast.

In this remote town of 28,605, nearly 6,000 people attended the weekend event.

“Some of you have a broken life and God doesn’t use band aids. God wants to completely change you,” said Graham from the podium. “Salvation is a Person and His name is Jesus. Jesus can change everything in life. He can change your life tonight!”

Why Is Christianity Thriving in Nepal?

By Jo Anne Lyon , Op-Ed Contributor – March 3, 2016

Christians in Nepal.

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:9

In Nepal, Hinduism reigns as the primary religion — out of Nepal’s population of 28 million, Christians make up less than 1.5 percent. Recently, the former Hindu kingdom adopted a new constitution that declared the country a secular state.

Under the new constitution, the freedom of religion is technically upheld but attempting to change or convert someone from one religion to another is punishable by law. In addition, Christianity remains socially unacceptable, often inciting violence and oppression. While you can legally choose your religion in Nepal, Nepali Christians continue to suffer inequality and persecution as they have for decades.

She buried 11 children, endured an alcoholic husband, then Jesus spoke to her in dreams

4/4/16 – by Mark Ellis & Katie Kuykendall of God Reports

Selmira was a young teen when she married, older than most of the girls in her Napo Quecha village in Peru.

She had asked if she could wait until she finished primary school before her marriage. She wanted to learn to read first.

Shamanism and alcoholism are widespread in the culture of her village, according to Wycliffe Bible Translators. Alcohol flows freely at gatherings that invoke a multitude of spirits. In many families, heavy drinking leads to violence.

When the men are too drunk to fish or labor in the fields, poverty usually falls upon them like a bandit. Their babies frequently go hungry and are given alcohol to stop their crying and put them to sleep.

Bubba Watson’s colorful journey with Christ

February 24, 2016 – by Michael Ashcraft and Mark Ellis of Godreports

He grew up wearing knickers sewn by his grandma, endured the rage of his Vietnam vet father, and learned to play golf smacking a wiffle ball around the house.

Bubba Watson, 37, arguably golf’s most colorful character, won the Los Angeles Riviera tournament Feb. 21, and he credited Jesus and the Bible with the win, his ninth PGA tour victory since 2010.

“I have a lot of fears in my life, which, as I’m reading the Bible, I’m not supposed to have — but I do,” Watson told the New York Times. “Me changing as a person has helped my golf, not my swing.”

It wasn’t too long ago that Watson would lose games in his brain. He struggled with insecurity, melted down after a bad shot, and looked for people to blame when things went wrong. He used curse words and rankled other players with some unfriendliness.
