More exciting Pro-Life Testimonies / Live webcast & Pr Daniel’s birthday at CTFM this Sunday 20th Oct / Ev Jason spreads Holy Spirit fire in Perth

Dear friends & family in Christ,

1) Last Sunday 13th Oct, we at Catch The Fire Church in Melbourne we were blessed to have Kay Painter from Remembering S.A.R.A. Ministries International speak to us at our 9.30 am and 6.30pm services.

Kay spoke of her abusive marriages, her abortion and her joy of finally coming to know, really know Jesus forgiveness, healing, being born again and that God had a purpose for her life. That’s why she came to Australia.

Kay also was our guest speaker at our Ladies Afternoon Tea. As many people were touched by Kay’s testimony which is in her book “From Sin And Sorrow To Service” we opened the Ladies meeting to men as well. At all three meetings many men women and some children received healing from trauma, restoration of their lives, Salvation and deliverance. Jesus said that He came to set prisoners free and heal the broken hearted and He did just that.

Ps. Geraldine of CTFM, who is in charge of “Option Plus Care” Pregnancy Crisis and Care Counselling (A division of CTFM) told us of one lady’s amazing testimony after the March for Babies last Saturday 12th Oct.

“I came to this rally and watched both sides with curiosity. I have to admit I was planning to join the ‘other side’ and I was pretty excited, it was to be my first ever rally. I got the shock of my life when I saw how ugly they were and I had to sit down to stop myself trembling. I am having triplets, cancelling my abortion Monday morning. Thank you. My heart has been changed.”

The Battle & Victory for Life in Melbourne

Dear friends & family in Christ,

There is now a “Culture of Death” creeping into Australia…NO, kicking down the doors of our society.

Through Fabianism, Islam, Euthanasia, Climate Change, Gay marriage and Abortion!

Evil is now deemed acceptable, and as Orwell predicted, men are now hated for speaking the Truth.

The electronic Media, true to its hidden mandate, has tonight called an organised crowd of 3,000 caring individuals as “protestors” and two hu…ndred, mouthing moronic thugs and thugettes as “Lobbyists”.

This latter group employed noise, violence, blasphemy, projectiles and profanity in seemingly endless supply to disrupt a pre-booked peaceful demonstration [For the sake of saving the most innocent potential Aussie citizens – babies].

The Blood of Christians on Obama’s Hands

Townhall.com ^ | September 10, 2013 | Scottie Hughes

Thirty-five miles northeast of Damascus is a small Christian village built into the mountains of Syria. Until yesterday, the most interesting thing about this town called Maaloula was that its 6,000 residents are among the last in the world who still speak Aramaic – the language Christ spoke as a boy in a carpentry shop, as man giving a sermon from a mount, and on the eve of his death and resurrection when he broke bread and poured wine and said, “This is my body…. This is my blood.”

Yesterday, according to reports by eyewitnesses, the Christians of Maaloula were attacked by a vicious army with no respect for human life and a special hatred for the Christians it calls infidels. They were driven from their homes. They were murdered in their streets.

Based on the recent rhetoric from President Obama and his administration, you might at first assume that the Syrian dictator and his army were responsible for this hate crime against the innocent Aramaic-speaking Christians of Maaloula. But the truth is quite the contrary. As has been the case in many prior attacks on Syria’s Christian minority, the culprits were al-Qaeda-linked rebels – the very same rebels Mr. Obama is preparing to help by bombing the Assad regime.

This past Sunday, as President Obama and his administration ratcheted up the usual media spin machine to promote their agenda, I was hoping pastors across the United States would stand up with moral courage and tell their congregations the truth about the ethnic cleansing of Christians in Syria. I was hoping that they would ratchet up the calls for the truth about who our enemies are. However, this administration and their media puppets have done such a good job of confusing the situation, many of those pastors have no idea who our enemy is.

TD Jakes, Oprah to Continue Talk on Fatherless Children Sunday

By Anugrah Kumar, Christian Post Contributor – September 8, 2013

Bishop T.D. Jakes, senior pastor at The Potter’s House church in Texas, and Oprah Winfrey will carry on their conversation on fatherless children on “Oprah’s Lifeclass” show Sunday evening, focusing on the healing process. The show was taped during Jakes’ recent three-day MegaFest.

The show’s website features a preview clip, showing Jakes telling an audience at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, that children who grew up without their fathers around them should try to “understand the wounds of your father,” as that would help them heal faster.

The show, to be aired Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on OWN, is the second of the two episodes taped during the MegaFest event on Aug. 29 in Dallas.

“The problem is generational,” Jakes says. “It’s not situational. It didn’t just start with you. There is a reason when you go to the physician today, he asks you about the health of your grandmother and your mother and your aunt. Your story doesn’t begin with you. It started before you got here.”

The war on Christians – The global persecution of Christians is the unreported catastrophe of our time

5 October 2013- The Spectator

Imagine if correspondents in late 1944 had reported the Battle of the Bulge, but without explaining that it was a turning point in the second world war. Or what if finance reporters had told the story of the AIG meltdown in 2008 without adding that it raised questions about derivatives and sub-prime mortgages that could augur a vast financial implosion?

Most people would say that journalists had failed to provide the proper context to understand the news. Yet that’s routinely what media outlets do when it comes to outbreaks of anti-Christian persecution around the world, which is why the global war on Christians remains the greatest story never told of the early 21st century.

In recent days, people around the world have been appalled by images of attacks on churches in Pakistan, where 85 people died when two suicide bombers rushed the Anglican All Saints Church in Peshawar, and in Kenya, where an assault on a Catholic church in Wajir left one dead and two injured.

Those atrocities are indeed appalling, but they cannot truly be understood without being seen as small pieces of a much larger narrative. Consider three points about the landscape of anti-Christian persecution today, as shocking as they are generally unknown. According to the International Society for Human Rights, a secular observatory based in Frankfurt, Germany, 80 per cent of all acts of religious discrimination in the world today are directed at Christians. Statistically speaking, that makes Christians by far the most persecuted religious body on the planet.

According to the Pew Forum, between 2006 and 2010 Christians faced some form of discrimination, either de jure or de facto, in a staggering total of 139 nations, which is almost three-quarters of all the countries on earth. According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts, an average of 100,000 Christians have been killed in what the centre calls a ‘situation of witness’ each year for the past decade. That works out to 11 Christians killed somewhere in the world every hour, seven days a week and 365 days a year, for reasons related to their faith.

Russian Hotels to Have a Bible in Every Room

By Dan Wooding – Founder of ASSIST Ministries – Thursday, August 22, 2013

MOSCOW, RUSSIA (ANS) With so much bad news coming out of Russia these days, it is surprising (and encouraging) to learn that this month, Russian hotels are to have Bibles in every room.

According to Teresa Neumann of Breaking Christian News (http://breakingchristiannews.com), the first 6,000 copies of the New Testament and Psalms were installed this month in rooms of Izmailovo, one of the largest hotels in Moscow.

Neumann, quoting from a story in The Christian Telegraph (www.christiantelegraph.com), said, “Russia has joined with the Christian tradition in putting Bibles in hotel rooms.

“The move is supported by the government’s Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management Department.”

Dimitriy Pershin, the chairman of the Commission with the Diocesan Missionary Council of Moscow, said, “Actually, in every European hotel, guests can find Bibles in the rooms. The Gospel is a book that has become the foundation of European culture. It is an essential feature of the respectful and hospitable attitude towards the guests, as well as an indicator of the cultural level of the owners of hotels.”

For Richard Dawkins, ‘Muslim Bashing’ Is Different Than ‘Christian Bashing’

By Michael Brown, CP Op-Ed ContributorAugust 12, 2013

Professor Richard Dawkins, known as the world’s most famous atheist, has risen to rock star status for his attacks on God and religion, in particular, his attacks on the God of the Bible. But when he recently criticized Muslims, he was in for a surprise.

Before looking at Dawkins’ rather mild criticism of Muslims, let’s remember the depth of his vitriol against Christians and the Bible, most of which has only enhanced Dawkins’ reputation.

In an April interview aired on the Qatar-based TV network Al Jazeera, Dawkins railed on the Catholic Church, saying that, as “Horrible as sexual abuse no doubt was [suffered by some children at the hands of deviant priests], the damage was arguably less than the long-term psychological damage inflicted by bringing the child up Catholic in the first place.”

Was Dawkins really serious? The interviewer, Mehdi Hasan asked: “You believe that being bought up as a Catholic is worse than being abused by a priest?”

Dawkins replied: “There are shades of being abused by a priest, and I quoted an example of a woman in America who wrote to me saying that when she was seven years old she was sexually abused by a priest in his car.

“At the same time a friend of hers, also seven, who was of a Protestant family, died, and she was told that because her friend was Protestant she had gone to Hell and will be roasting in Hell forever.

A Friendlier Australian Government

From Isi Leibler,  September 8, 2013

Australia’s election results are good news for the Israel-Australia relationship. Labor party incumbent Kevin Rudd, who held office for less than three months following a coup against former PM Julia Gillard, lost in a landslide, bringing an end to six years of Labor Government. Rudd is a political chameleon who abandoned Australia’s long-standing pro-Israel position when he previously served as Prime Minister from 2007 to 2010.

The victorious Tony Abbott of the center-right Liberal party is an outspoken friend of the Jewish State. He has pledged to improve relations with Israel, toughen the government’s approach toward terrorist organizations and end financial support for organizations connected to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign against Israel.

These results therefore represent a sea change in Israel-Australia relations. Before assuming office in 2007, Prime Minister Rudd portrayed himself as a Christian Zionist. But in office, he launched a campaign to downgrade Australia’s relationship toward Israel. He reduced Australian support for Israel at the UN and adopted policies akin to those of hostile European countries.

Julia Gillard, who displaced him in 2010, made efforts to revive the friendly relations with Israel. But after Bob Carr was appointed as Foreign Minister in March 2012, the relationship again began to decline.

Carr, a former State Premier, was a founding member of the parliamentary Labor Friends of Israel and had previously been considered a friend of the Jewish community. However, in 2003, he awarded the Sydney Peace Prize to Palestinian propagandist Hannah Ashrawi, and since then has become increasingly critical, insisting that he understood better than Israelis what was in their best interest.

NOTHING LESS THAN SATANIC

By Alex Murashko, Christian Post Reporter August 16, 2013

The recent barrage of attacks on Christians in Egypt, including on members and churches of the nation’s Coptic denomination, are of a scale unseen in modern times and being described as satanic, according to sources living in the country. The persecution watchdog group, Open Doors USA, says Egypt is engulfed in a furnace of fire and Christians are taking on the brunt force of the attacks.

“The attack against the Christians of Egypt is nothing less than a furious satanic attack that aims at terrorizing Christians, imprisoning them at their homes helplessly with no guarantee of protection so their love, peace, hope and testimony may be neutralized,” stated an anonymous Christian leader, whose name is being withheld for security reasons, in a commentary obtained by The Christian Post.

“We, Christians of Egypt, are facing a severe time of persecution and suffering that we may have not witnessed since the Roman times!” the source explained.

Thursday evening, the overall picture coming out of Egypt from news reports was dire. Egypt’s health ministry said that at least 580 people were killed and more than 4,000 injured amidst clashes involving security forces and former President Mohammad Morsi supporters.

In Midst of Syrian Crisis, Netanyahu Holds Bible Study

Teresa Neumann (Sep 19, 2013)

Studying why Moses couldn’t enter the Promised Land, Israeli’s Prime Minister concludes, “Moses could not enter the Promised Land, and we merit that privilege to be here in the land of our forefathers, thanks to him and thanks to the struggle of our people. And we bless every second. It is a great privilege to read this great book [Scripture] and to know that we are fulfilling what God commanded our people … in that way we are fulfilling the legacy.”

(Jerusalem, Israel)—In a recent blog, Joel C. Rosenberg writes, “One of the most interesting but least known aspects in the life of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu [who was not raised in a religious home] is that he has developed a noticeable curiosity in ancient Scriptures.”

Rosenberg goes on to reveal that the Prime Minister started a Bible study with various Jewish leaders and scholars last year that continues to meet in his official residence.

Indeed, multiple sources reveal that as recently as last week, despite the intense saber rattling gripping the Mideast over conditions in Syria, Netanyahu convened another Bible study, the focus of which was why the Lord punished Moses by not allowing him to enter the Promised Land.

The Prime Minister was quoted as saying Moses’ punishment seemed cruel and asked, “What is the logic behind that—it seems unjust?” (more…)

The Dark Side of Wives Submitting to Husbands

Charisma Magazine – 8/7/2013 J. Lee Grady

Christian teaching on male headship is often used as a weapon against women. This abuse must be confronted.

During a past ministry trip to Hungary, I heard a painfully familiar story. Through a translator, a tearful young woman living near Budapest explained that her Christian husband was angrily demanding her absolute submission. This included, among other things, that she clean their house according to his strict standards and that she engage in sexual acts with him that made her feel uncomfortable and dirty.

This lady was not demanding her rights or trying to be disrespectful. She was a godly, humble woman who obviously wanted to please the Lord. But she had been beaten to a pulp emotionally, and she was receiving little help from her pastor—who was either unwilling or unprepared to confront wife abuse.

I’ve heard so many sickening versions of this scenario. In Kenya, several women told me their AIDS-infected husbands often raped them—and then their pastors told them they must submit to this treatment. In some parts of India, even some pastors believe it is acceptable to beat their wives if they argue with them or show any form of disrespect. And in some conservative churches in the United States, women are told that obedience to God is measured by their wifely submission—even if their husbands are addicted to alcohol or pornography or if they are involved in adulterous affairs.

This distortion of biblical teaching has plunged countless Christian women into depression and emotional trauma. I’m not sure which is worse: the harsh words they hear from their husbands or the perverse way the Bible is wielded as a leather belt to justify domestic abuse. Here are three truths we must uncover in order to solve this problem:

1. Marriage is not a hierarchy. Traditionalists assume that a Christian marriage is defined as a dominant husband who makes all family decisions while the wife graciously obeys without input. Yet Scripture actually portrays marriage as a loving partnership and refers to the wife as a “fellow heir of the grace of life” (1 Peter 3:7, NASB). And the apostle Paul taught that in the realm of sexuality, husbands and wives share equal authority over each other’s bodies (1 Cor. 7:4). In other words, submission in this most intimate part of a marriage covenant is mutual, and this same mutuality is the key to any happy marriage; it fosters respect, communication and an enduring bond.

The Commentator : Islamism’s slow genocide against Christanity

Noah Beck – 20 August 2013

As Egypt’s Islamists blame Christians for the ouster of Mohammed Morsi, anti-Christian violence has reached epidemic levels, with an estimated 82 churches across Egypt attacked and heavily damaged by pro-Morsi supporters in a mere 48 hours.

Unfortunately, the persecution of Christians is nothing new in Egypt or other Muslim-majority countries. But thanks to the mainstream media, few Westerners understand the true scale or nature of the horrors involved.

As you read this, Christians around the world are being murdered, raped, plundered, abducted, forcibly converted to Islam, or otherwise oppressed by Muslims. Christians in Muslim-majority areas are some of the most vulnerable and horribly oppressed people on earth; they live at the mercy of the mob and receive little or no protection from the police or other government institutions.

The reach of this silent tragedy is sweeping – a global religious genocide on “slow burn” with occasional conflagrations that make it into the mainstream media. There are an estimated 100 million persecuted Christians.

This massive crime is documented in shocking and painstaking detail in Raymond Ibrahim’s new book Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians. The book is required reading for anyone who cares about religious freedom, human rights, and/or the survival of Christians in their ancestral lands.
