Reaping What We Have Sown – Abortion De-criminalised – Article by Pastor Danny Nalliah

Pastor Danny NalliahDear Friends and Family in Christ,

While driving I have noticed speed limits of 40km in school zones and 50km in built up areas. I believe this is to take necessary precaution and/or avoid harming children by an accident.

You may relate to the term, ‘Put a fence around the mountain top – rather than having an ambulance at the bottom of the mountain!’ Even if this is not familiar, all could easily understand what this means in relation to the above, but sadly when it comes to politics and legislations people seem to be naïve or shamefully ignorant in making their choices! Final Hurdle For Abortion Bill

Geraldine Mitchell & Nick Higginbottom - October 07, 2008

Rob Hulls and wife Carolyn BurnsideOPPONENTS of the Brumby Government’s controversial abortion Bill will try to derail it in the Upper House.

The 40 MPs will today be bombarded with another series of amendments to the Abortion Law Reform Bill.

The Government could torpedo the legislation if the amendments are successful and existing provisions are watered down.

Senior minister Theo Theophanous is expected to push an amendment to change the legislation to allow an abortion up to 20 weeks rather than 24 weeks.

Mr Theophanous said yesterday he was considering amendments and predicted the vote would be tight. He has previously been outspoken on the Bill, saying 24 weeks was a “bridge too far to go” and that he would not support it. (more…)

Pro Life Prayer Rally – Against The ‘Decriminalization Abortion Bill’

Dear Family and Friends in Christ,

CADOA Peacefull Rally Agaisnt AbortionI wish to convey my heartfelt appreciation for your faithfulness in standing and being a voice for the voiceless at the Pro-life prayer rally (Against the De-criminalization of Abortion Bill) on Sunday the 5th of Oct in the city of Melbourne. I was so sad that I could not personally be there, as I was ministering in Perth WA during the weekend. My wife and children were at the rally. They were so encouraged to see the thousands show up. I was told that the police had to close the streets and tram tracks down, due to the crowds.

Well done guys! It is certainly time to Pray and Stand for what we believe. Attached below is a report from Kirsten Jack, the coordinator for CADOA (Coalition against decriminalization of Abortion), an organization which was set up many months ago, as the Lord placed in my heart that we should unite as Christians to protect the next generation of Aussies, to fight this bill when it first raised its ugly head under the Steve Brax Government. We have spent more than $80,000 on news paper adds against this bill and have done all that we could do up to now. (more…)

Islamic Law Has Been Officially Adopted In Britain, With Sharia Courts Given Powers To Rule On Muslim Civil Cases.

THE TIMES

The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence.

Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through county courts or the country’s High Court, a part of its Supreme Court system.

Previously, the rulings of sharia courts in Britain could not be enforced, and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims. (more…)

Sharia Law SHOULD Be Used In Britain, Says UK’s Top judge

By Steve Doughty

Lord Chief Justice Nicholas PhillipsExplosive: The Lord Chief Justice’s endorsement of Sharia law has already created huge controversy

The most senior judge in England yesterday gave his blessing to the use of sharia law to resolve disputes among Muslims.

Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips said that Islamic legal principles could be employed to deal with family and marital arguments and to regulate finance.

He declared: ‘Those entering into a contractual agreement can agree that the agreement shall be governed by a law other than English law.’

In his speech at an East London mosque, Lord Phillips signalled approval of sharia principles as long as punishments – and divorce rulings – complied with the law of the land. (more…)

Edges Fray On Control Freak

By Andrew Bolt – The Herald Sun

Andrew BoltTHE private Kevin Rudd is smashing into the public image of Kevin Rudd, and his blood is now all over the polls.

I’ve said it for a year, but only now do more Left-leaning commentators agree there’s a potentially fatal flaw in the Prime Minister.

It’s that personality thing. Once again we find – as we did with the unstable Mark Latham – that character in politics is king. Or knave. (more…)

Senior Judge Says British Family Life Is “In Meltdown”

“Family breakdown ‘ a cancer’ behind almost every evil affecting the country”

A senior Family Division judge, Mr Justice Sir Paul Coleridge (58), who presides over family courts in the South-West, has launched an outspoken and devastating attack on the state of family life in Britain – and blamed the government for the breakdown of society. He made his remarks last Saturday (5 April) in a speech to family lawyers. The judge has been married for 35 years and has three children.

Using graphic language, he spoke of an ‘epidemic’ of family failures. He warned that children born into broken homes are increasingly turning to drink, drugs and crime. (more…)

Iranian Leader Ahmadinejad In Rudd’s Sights

By Dennis Shanahan – The Australian

Prime Minister Kevin RuddTHE Rudd Government is preparing a case to take Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the International Court of Justice for “inciting genocide” and denying the Jewish Holocaust.

Australia is the only nation pursuing Iran’s despotic leader, who has threatened to “wipe Israel off the map”, through international laws.

The Australian revealed last October that Kevin Rudd, then the Opposition leader, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejadpromised the Jewish community before last year’s election he would take legal proceedings in the ICJ against Mr Ahmadinejad.

The Labor leader said it was “strongly arguable” that Mr Ahmadinejad’s conduct – statements about wiping Israel off the map, questioning whether Zionists were human beings and a conference that he convened on the veracity of the Holocaust – amounted to incitement to genocide, which was criminalised under the 1948 genocide convention.
