Islamizing Britain’s Schools

April 1, 2014 by Bruce Bawer – Frontpage Mag

Real Muslims understand the critical importance of teaching the young. The critical importance, that is, of teaching them the “right” things and not teaching them the “wrong” things. The most important single element of stealth Islamization is the effort to convert Western schools from centers of secular education into hubs of Islamic indoctrination. Fortunately, there are plenty of dhimmi teachers and school administrators eager to help out, convinced that they’re serving the interests of multicultural peace and harmony. These days, for some reason, this form of dhimmitude seems to be most prevalent – and to take its acutest form – in England.

Take, for example, Lynn Small, headmistress of a state elementary school in Huntington, England, who last November wrote a letter to parents of fourth- and sixth-grade students warning that if they didn’t let their children attend an “Explore Islam” workshop at Staffordshire University, a “Racial Discrimination” note would be placed in the kids’ permanent records. Fortunately, parents kicked up a fuss, and the media took notice, and Small backtracked – kind of – while still insisting that since some of the school’s “pupils and teachers…belong to the Islam faith,” it was only “right for the children to understand and appreciate their faith as well as their own.”

Obviously, Small realized she’d miscalculated. Slightly. Apparently there were no repercussions for her. She still has her job, and there’s no indication that school authorities even put a note in her permanent record chiding her for making Stalinist-type threats against parents. No, her heart was plainly in the right place, as far as the British educational establishment is concerned – she just went about things the wrong way, confronting parents directly instead of taking a more crafty approach.

Aborted and Miscarried Baby Remains Used to Power British Hospitals

By Morgan Lee , Christian Post Reporter – March 24, 2014

British hospitals used the bodies of aborted and miscarried babies to heat their buildings, the United Kingdom’s Channel 4 has shockingly revealed.

A Channel 4 show airing on Monday night reveals that the bodies of thousands of preborn babies were included as clinical waste in 10 National Health Service (NHS) trusts and subsequently incinerated. Two others admitted to burning the human remains as part of their “waste-to-energy” plants.

Health Minister and Conservative Member of Parliament, Dr. Dan Poulter, decried the practice as “totally unacceptable.”

“While the vast majority of hospitals are acting in the appropriate way, that must be the case for all hospitals and the Human Tissue Authority has now been asked to ensure that it acts on this issue without delay,” Poulter said in The Telegraph.

In response to the Channel 4 report, the U.K. Department of Health banned the practice on Sunday.

Twenty-seven NHS trusts incinerated at least 15,500 fetal remains over the past two years and parents were often not consulted about the hospital’s intentions for the baby remains, the Channel 4 report also claims.

No blessings for gay unions – church

No blessings for gay unions - churchFebruary 17, 2014 – IOL News

London – Church of England priests will not be allowed to bless gay and lesbian weddings, or marry someone of the same sex themselves, according to new guidelines issued by the church, which is struggling to heal divides over homosexuality.

Same-sex marriage becomes legal in England next month, posing a dilemma for the Church of England, which is the mother church of the world’s 80 million Anglicans and maintains that marriage is between a man and a woman.

England and Wales legalised secular same-sex civil partnerships in 2005. A church working group suggested last year that clergy allow gay and lesbian couples to mark and celebrate marriages held under the new legislation, as well as civil partnerships, in a religious service.

John Kerry, Jihad Coddler

By Michelle MalkinJewish World Review Jan. 17, 2014/ 16 Shevat, 5774

The myth of the poor, oppressed jihadist never dies. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is the latest Obama administration official to peddle this odious narrative. Cue John Lennon’s cloying “Imagine,” don your plaid pajamas, and curl up with a warm cup of deadly naivete.

While meeting with Catholic Church officials at the Vatican in Rome on Monday, Kerry expounded on their “huge common interest in dealing with this issue of poverty, which in many cases is the root cause of terrorism or even the root cause of the disenfranchisement of millions of people on this planet.” In other words: If only every al-Qaida and Taliban recruit had a fraction of Kerry’s $200 million fortune, they’d all be frolicking peacefully with infidels on jet skis sporting “Coexist” bumper stickers.

This wasn’t a one-off. Kerry delivered a similar Kumbaya-style discourse at the Global Counterterrorism Forum last fall: “Getting this right isn’t just about taking terrorists off the street. It’s about providing more economic opportunities for marginalized youth at risk of recruitment.” Naturally, the Foggy Bottom apple doesn’t fall far from the Pennsylvania Avenue terror-excusing tree. President Obama subscribes to the very same “midnight basketball” theory of counterterrorism. In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Obama asserted that jihad “grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.”

Gendercide in Britain: UK missing 1,400-4,700 girls, report finds

Gendercide in Britain UK missing 1400-4700 girls report findsby Thaddeus Baklinski  Jan 16, 2014

LONDON, January 16, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Sex-selective abortion is so common a practice among minorities in Great Britain that the nation is “missing” an estimated 1,400-4,700 girls, according to a new report.

An analysis of census data by the UK’s The Independent newspaper found that a growing imbalance in the ratio of boys to girls in some ethnic minorities points to a rise in sex-selective abortions targeting girls in these groups.

The newspaper claims that the sex ratio in certain Asian populations in the UK is so skewed toward boys that it “can only easily be explained” by sex-selective abortions.

The Independent said it looked at 2011 census data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to investigate whether having a daughter as a first child raised the probability of a family’s second-born child being a boy.

“We found that the sex ratio of second-born children was heavily boy-biased in the families of mothers born in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and that there was some evidence of this being the case in families of mothers born in Bangladesh,” the investigators said.

Street preacher arrested in Scotland for condemning homosexuality

Tony MianoDUNDEE, Scotland, January 29, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Tony Miano, an American evangelical street preacher and former policeman, must be getting used to being arrested for his beliefs in Britain. Miano was arrested January 8th, in Dundee, Scotland, and remanded in custody to appear before Dundee Sheriff Court the next day. Charged with a public order offence and held for nearly 30 hours, Miano was allowed to return to the US on the condition that he returns to the court in April.

A spokesman for the legal advocacy group Christian Concern told LifeSiteNews.com that the situation of street preachers being arrested is getting out of hand, with police making what are, essentially, arbitrary arrests.

Garry Selfridge, spokesman for Christian Concern said that the Dundee court “is being a little pathetic and backward” in allowing the proceedings to move forward.

“There is an overall blanket of political correctness that cloaks the whole establishment in the UK, so the police are not well advised or well trained to deal with such situations,” he said.

Crying wolf? – Is free speech being suppressed in the UK?

Crying wolf – Is free speech being suppressed in the UK3 January 2014  |  David Robertson

It’s happened again. Another high profile case of a street preacher being arrested in the UK simply for seeking to spread the Word of God. As previously reported in Christian Today and numerous Christian websites, podcasts and American Christian radio shows, Tony Miano was arrested in the city of Dundee on 8 of January. (You can read the account here).

Unlike his previous arrest in London, this time he has been charged and the case will go to trial in April. The case is therefore Sub Judice and it would be inappropriate for me to go into detailed comment about what actually happened. But as a pastor based in the City of Dundee it would be wrong to leave this situation alone, especially as it has been reported all over the world as another example of how lunatic and intolerant the UK in general and Scotland in particular has become towards the Gospel.

One commentator declared: “It’s alarming that in a country such as the UK which helped spread Christianity to the world, we’re seeing police oppression of God’s word being preached in the streets of our towns and cities.” Another slightly more extreme Facebook poster excitedly observed “and you wonder why helicopters fall out of the sky in your country?!”

Public health chief warns of new gay HIV epidemic

Professor Kevin Fenton, UK Director of Health and Wellbeing

FamilyVoice Australia  Media Release  27 November 2013

“Australia should take seriously the warning by Professor Kevin Fenton, UK Director of Health and Wellbeing, that the world faces a new global HIV epidemic among men who have sex with men,” FamilyVoice Australia research officer Ros Phillips said today.

In an address to a UK HIV conference earlier this month, Professor Fenton said that new HIV infections are at a 20 year high, mainly among homosexual and bisexual men.  Even sub-Saharan Africa, with a huge incidence of HIV overall, the HIV rate in homosexual men is far higher than in heterosexual men and women.

Despite the development of new drugs, widespread condom promotion and availability along with other tools to combat the disease, there is a potentially catastrophic HIV epidemic in homosexual men in every part of the world.

The professor said the reason for the surge in infections is the two main characteristics of homosexual sex: anal intercourse and promiscuity.

Britain in danger of becoming ‘anti-Christian’

Britain in danger of becoming 'anti-Christian'Saturday 12 October 2013CHRISTIAN TODAY

Britain is not only in danger of becoming “unchristian” but also “anti-Christian”, the former Bishop of Rochester has warned.

Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali was speaking at the launch of Wilberforce Publications, a new Christian publishing house seeking to equip Christians to “face the challenges of the secular world”.

The bishop, who is also President of OXTRAD, said that persecution “always begins with marginalisation and discrimination in the workplace and in public life”.

His comments echo his foreward to a new book from Wilberforce Publications, Christians in the Firing Line by Dr Richard Scott, in which he wrote: “We are made immediately aware of the price to be paid and the cost involved whether it is loss of employment, the threat of being struck off the registers of professional bodies or just unpopularity in the community or the media.

“… In my experience, the exclusion from employment or participation in public life, which the people in these cases have tasted, as well as discrimination because of belief, which they have also experienced, is often the beginning of persecution.”

Dr Scott was disciplined by the General Medical Council for talking to a patient about his faith, and wrote the book to highlight instances of Christian employees who had been “warned, blacklisted, suspended or dismissed for refusing to compromise their biblical principles”.

Heathrow Airport worker challenges ‘anti-Islam’ dismissal

Nohad Halawi is contesting her dismissal from a Heathrow Airport duty free counter where she worked for over a decadeCHRISTIAN TODAYPublished 04 October 2013  |  Mark Caplin

Nohad Halawi is contesting her dismissal from a Heathrow Airport duty free counter where she worked for over a decade

A Christian woman who was dismissed from her work at a Heathrow airport beauty counter over claims she was “anti-Islam” is taking her case to an employment appeal tribunal today.

Nohad Halawi denies the accusation, which arose after a conversation she had with a colleague, in which she described him as a “man of God”, was taken by another Muslim colleague to be a criticism of Islam.

She is being supported by the Christian Legal Centre, which says that although the dispute was resolved by her manager, another Muslim colleague started spreading false rumours that Mrs Halawi was “anti-Islam”.

This led to the management taking the decision to suspend and withdraw her airside pass, which is required to work at the airport.

UK’s new Chief Rabbi: Bible clearly teaches marriage is between one man and one woman

by Thaddeus Baklinski

LONDON, September 4, 2013 (LifeSIteNews.com)

Orthodox Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, who replaced Lord Jonathan Sacks as Chief Rabbi of Britain and the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth on Sunday, said he would maintain traditional Jewish values, including support for natural marriage, while stressing that he wants all Jews to find a home and feel comfortable in orthodox synagogues.

“We have a clear Biblical definition of marriage which is the union of one man and one woman and through that we value traditional family life,” Rabbi Mirvis told the BBC in an interview before Sunday’s installation ceremony.

“But I would like to reiterate our genuine sentiment to every single Jewish man and woman: you have a home in our synagogue and we will make you feel comfortable regardless of who you are.”

He added that while he wanted to offer women a greater role in Orthodox Judaism, he opposed female ordination. “Equality is what we strive for but when we talk about equality, it is not uniformity.”

The war on Christians – The global persecution of Christians is the unreported catastrophe of our time

5 October 2013- The Spectator

Imagine if correspondents in late 1944 had reported the Battle of the Bulge, but without explaining that it was a turning point in the second world war. Or what if finance reporters had told the story of the AIG meltdown in 2008 without adding that it raised questions about derivatives and sub-prime mortgages that could augur a vast financial implosion?

Most people would say that journalists had failed to provide the proper context to understand the news. Yet that’s routinely what media outlets do when it comes to outbreaks of anti-Christian persecution around the world, which is why the global war on Christians remains the greatest story never told of the early 21st century.

In recent days, people around the world have been appalled by images of attacks on churches in Pakistan, where 85 people died when two suicide bombers rushed the Anglican All Saints Church in Peshawar, and in Kenya, where an assault on a Catholic church in Wajir left one dead and two injured.

Those atrocities are indeed appalling, but they cannot truly be understood without being seen as small pieces of a much larger narrative. Consider three points about the landscape of anti-Christian persecution today, as shocking as they are generally unknown. According to the International Society for Human Rights, a secular observatory based in Frankfurt, Germany, 80 per cent of all acts of religious discrimination in the world today are directed at Christians. Statistically speaking, that makes Christians by far the most persecuted religious body on the planet.

According to the Pew Forum, between 2006 and 2010 Christians faced some form of discrimination, either de jure or de facto, in a staggering total of 139 nations, which is almost three-quarters of all the countries on earth. According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts, an average of 100,000 Christians have been killed in what the centre calls a ‘situation of witness’ each year for the past decade. That works out to 11 Christians killed somewhere in the world every hour, seven days a week and 365 days a year, for reasons related to their faith.
