Dear family and friends in Christ,
What a glorious and mighty God we serve in this Great South Land of the Holy Spirit!
The Rise Up Australia 9th Anniversary Celebration was a great evening of united prayer, corporate worship and prophetic intercession for the transformation of our nation of Australia. Christians from 38 churches, including many different denominations and ethnic groups, united together as an integral part of the body of Christ in Melbourne. The unity demonstrated was absolutely amazing and as they passionately worshipped the King of kings and Lord of lords, the heavens opened up as the mighty presence of God fell in the place!
The prayer warriors who had gathered cried out to the Father in heaven for a mighty harvest of souls and for the Bride of Christ to be prepared for the 2nd coming of the Lord, with people everywhere declaring ‘Australia for Jesus’! (more…)
Dear family & friends in Christ,
Following are 3 powerful testimonies of the Lord’s miraculous healing and supernatural restoration as a result of a mighty outpouring of the Holy Ghost when Pastor Danny and a team from Catch the Fire ministered in Colac, Victoria from the 1st – 2nd August. We pray that you will be greatly blessed by the great things the Father in Heaven continues to do for His Glory!
Healing Testimony 1 “On the evening of the 1st of August 2009, I went out the front of the church to the healing line. Here, Pastor Danny anointed me with oil and I said to him, “I do not wish to fall down as I’ve just had stents put in both my legs.†He arranged a chair for me to sit on. After a few seconds I felt my both legs becoming hot; then they felt as if they were growing huge as the Holy Spirit worked on me. There were strange movements in the legs then pins and needles. As they subsided my legs began to feel normal, no pain, but slightly numb. I felt the Holy Spirit move up my right arm, and as it hit spots where I’d previously felt pain months before, I felt the same pain as I’d felt before. The same happened to the other arm, then I felt a sharp pain in the heart area twice, and felt fearful for a moment, wondering what was going to happen next. When I stood up I was like a drunk woman, and couldn’t balance or walk straight. Gradually after I went home, I was able to walk straight. I was so happy, so grateful as I’d never felt the Holy Spirit before, but had been prayed for after baptism to receive the Holy Spirit 50 years before, although I did see visions over the years.I woke up this morning, 2nd of August 2009, with no pain whatsoever, and will feel eternally grateful for the Lord’s gift of healing through the Holy Spirit. Dear family & friends in Christ,
It’s with great joy we wish to bring to your attention that this Friday 7th August 2009 marks the 9th year of Rise Up Australia prayer meetings uniting the Body of Christ to prayerfully seek the Lord for our nation’s transformation. This interdenominational prayer movement that begun on the 1st Friday in August 2000 in Melbourne has now spread to 50+ locations throughout Australia, overseas to America, the UK, and many parts of Africa. Every month there are approximately 50 prayer meetings in 50 different towns and cities across our nation of Australia. So, how did this journey start??

“I was an atheist. Now I’m considering going to church and being a believer. There’s got to be someone up there who’s saving our little daughter.”
(Buffalo, NY)—Miracle baby, one-week-old Ava Isabella Stinson weighs only 2 pounds 4 ounces, but the tiny tike is already changing the lives of the people around her. Like her parents, Natalie Paquette and Richard Stinson.
It all started when Natalie went into labor three months before her due date and found there was “no room at the Inn” for hospital care for the premature Ava in her hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, where a shortage of neonatal beds is an ongoing problem. (more…)
“Freedom for the people. The right to vote. The right to have a fair election. Things that we sometimes take for granted in this country, they’re dying for. People my age, 24 years old, losing their lives.” -Iranian protestor in America
With the ongoing protests by the people of Iran against their country’s disputed election results, a cry for freedom from tyranny has been heard throughout that land. (Photo: CBN News)
As we watch the news reports on our TVs, let’s keep Iran’s situation in prayer; that the people there will not only come to know freedom within their society, but also the true freedom which is only found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. (more…)
Dear family & friends in Christ,
Â
Thank you for your valued support to all of you who have sent submissions to the government in response to the several emails we and others have sent over the last few months regarding the proposed Bill of Rights.
Â
I have had a few people ask me how we can pray against the Bill of Rights. Following are my thoughts and suggested prayer points.Â
Â
Dear family & friends in Christ,
 1) We at Catch the Fire Ministries thank the Lord every day for His awesome presence at every single meeting where souls are being saved, people healed, delivered and set free in the name of Jesus!
We are so thrilled and grateful to God for the continued outpouring
of the Holy Ghost that we have been experiencing for the past one year in Melbourne, Australia. Pastor Danny stated, “I have seen many
healings and miracles in many countries where I have ministered, but I have never seen a continued outpouring of the Holy Ghost like we have seen over the past year in Australia. Wherever we minister people are being healed, delivered and set free!†(more…)
Dear family and friends in Christ,
The recent Pentecost weekend was so glorious, as many people from many cultures radically experienced the mighty wind of the Spirit of God blowing through Australia and the nations of the world!
Â
We at Catch the Fire Ministries were so excited and overjoyed to have joined hundreds of millions of Christians around the world on Pentecost Sunday for the Global Day of Prayer in seeking God’s face for the healing, revival, and transformation of the nations, in addition to have thanked God for rain and celebrated the National Day of Thanksgiving in Australia on Sunday 31st May 2009.
I am sure that the hundreds who gathered over the weekend where Pastor Danny was ministering will testify that they experienced possibly a glimpse of the first day of Pentecost some 2000 years ago when the Holy Spirit was first poured out! Pastor Danny first ministered on Saturday in Endeavor Hills in a packed out upper room to a group of Hungarian and Serbian Christians very hungry for the mighty presence of God! Many were greatly impacted through the ministry of the Word of God and were so blessed by the Lord’s unconditional love for His children! Following the meeting was a great feast of delicious food! Pastor Danny stated, ‘We first had a Spiritual Feast and now a great natural feast!†The place was buzzing with great joy in the Spirit! (more…)

I remember seeing my mother kneeling at the side of her bed and praying aloud for each of her children and grandchildren. That memory is forever etched in my mind and I will never forget sensing a strong presence of God through her intercession. I came away with a sense of reverential fear and trust that no matter what would happen to any of us, God would honor her prayers on our behalf.
My mother is in glory now and it’s a comfort to know that the Lord continues to honor those prayers. It encourages me to continue to pray for my own children and grandchildren no matter how uncertain their futures or what they are currently facing. (more…)

POWERFUL and morally conservative religious leaders and laymen, including Christians, Jews and Muslims, have united to form a lobby group to fight what they say is the growing threat to religious freedom in Australia.
The Ambrose Centre for Religious Liberty will be launched at NSW Parliament House tonight and formally brings together for the first time the leaders of several religious groups.
The centre’s chairman, the Sydney lawyer Rocco Mimmo, said the leaders were increasingly worried that religious vilification laws – such as the ones used in Victoria to prosecute a Pentacostal pastor for inflammatory comments about Islam – would be introduced nationally.
“All of us have concerns, for different reasons, that religious liberty is in danger,” Mr Mimmo told the Herald.
“Anti-vilification laws have a superficial appeal to people but, however inappropriate those comments made by the Victorian pastor, I doubt very much whether they actually incited people to violence.” (more…)
Repent America Urges Immediate Action from Christians
PHILADELPHIA – Repent America is urging Christians nationwide to contact their congressmen and senators in effort to defeat the passage of “The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009” (H.R. 1913), which poses a serious threat to Biblical evangelism and active stances against the sin of homosexuality. After approval of the bill this past Thursday by the House Judiciary Committee, the measure is swiftly moving to a full vote in Congress, as well as consideration before the Senate this week. Unless Christians act, H.R. 1913 could be on President Obama’s desk within the next couple of weeks.
Co-written by openly homosexual congressman Barney Frank and co-sponsored by Rep. John Conyers of Michigan, the Hate Crimes Prevention Act is faulty and untruthful from its very foundation, citing in its “findings” section that “members of such groups are forced to move across state lines to escape the incidence or risk of such violence” and that they are “prevented from purchasing goods and services, obtaining or sustaining employment or participating in other commercial activity.” (more…)

Barack Obama’s obvious comfort level with leaders of unfree countries shouldn’t surprise anyone. He is not only our first black president. He is also our first president who doesn’t like the free country he was elected to lead and feels his job is to change it.
Obama’s cordial encounter with Venezuelan thug Hugo Chavez and his bow of deference in London to the Saudi Arabian king are extensions of behavior we have always seen on the black left. Jesse Jackson openly embraced Chavez, as well as having maintained relations with the likes of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi and Yasser Arafat.
This should be kept in mind as our president now makes his own effort to bring peace to the Middle East.
It should be clear to anyone conscious and watching that central to Obama’s Middle East strategy is to disabuse the long-held notion that there exists a “special relationship” between the United States and Israel. The sense of unique kinship between our country and the Jewish state has existed since Israel’s founding just 60 years ago. (more…)

Dear Friends and Family in Christ around the World,
We would greatly appreciate your ongoing prayer and diplomatic action regarding a catastrophic crisis in Sri Lanka!
Rising Up Australia and the Nations as His Kingdom Comes,

According to the independent media reports in the last two days, over 1480 people were killed, mostly women and children, and 2200 or more were injured. Medical facilities are not available within the so called safe zone in Mullaithivu. Some of the internet media carried videos and photographs of the humanitarian catastrophe.Â

UN Security Council Should Initiate Commission of Inquiry
(New York, April 20, 2009) – An expected major attack following the Sri Lankan government’s “final warning†to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam underscores the need for heightened measures to minimize civilian casualties, Human Rights Watch said today. The continuing laws of war violations by both the Sri Lankan army and the LTTE indicate the need for a United Nations commission of inquiry to investigate war crimes by both sides, Human Rights Watch said.
