University of California-Berkeley student’s article about why she left Islam pulled from school paper over fears for her safety

June 12, 2015 – By Robert Spencer

I saw the piece when it first went up in the Berkeley student newspaper, marveled that it was published at all in such a place, and had planned to post an excerpt at Jihad Watch, but it was gone before I got a chance. Now we know why: there are concerns for the safety of the student who wrote it, and such concerns are entirely reasonable, given the fact (however often denied by dishonest Islamic apologists in the U.S.) of Islam’s death penalty for apostasy. The article was also noteworthy for the author’s frank admission that “yes, Islam does allow men to have four wives and sex slaves” — truths also often denied by Western Islamic apologists. In any case, “free speech” Berkeley ought to be in an uproar over the fact that this student is under threat, and the student paper ought to be filled with avowals of her human rights and declarations of how she must and will be protected. However, Berkeley ain’t what it used to be, if it ever was.

Terrorism Works, part 924,103: “Student’s Anti-Islam Article Retracted Due To ‘Safety’ Risk,” by Austin Petersen, Libertarian Republic, June 8, 2015:

An opinion piece written by a student at the University of California-Berkeley explaining her decision to leave Islam has been pulled from the school newspaper’s website over fears for the author’s safety.

The opinion piece, titled “On Leaving Islam,” recounted the personal story of the narrator (whose name we will withold) growing up a devout (though moderate) Muslim in Pakistan, but later abandoning the faith as she learned more about the world.

Kurdish Courage: ISIS’ Evil Crushed This City, but Not Its People

Kurdish Courage ISIS' Evil Crushed This City, but Not Its PeopleGary Lane : Jun 8, 2015 : CBN News

“We really sacrificed and our uprising was not only for the people of Kobani, but for people everywhere.”

Kobani, Syria—[CBN News] As the Iraqi military struggles with ISIS, it could learn a lesson from Kurdish troops. In Syria, the Peshmerga helped free the city of Kobani, with help from American airstrikes.

CBN’s Gary Lane joined CBN Humanitarian and Disaster Relief workers as they brought help to the ravaged city of Kobani.

They were shocked by what we saw. Much of the town has been destroyed. The effort to drive ISIS from Kobani left much of this area just devastated.

But slowly, people are coming back. The town now has a population of about 20 percent of what it was once before.

MEDIA RELEASE: RISE UP AUSTRALIA PRESIDENT DANIEL NALLIAH CHALLENGES MEDIA BIAS, AND PREJUDICE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –  WEDNESDAY 22nd July 2015

Is journalism dead in Australia?

From his office in Melbourne, this morning, Mr. Nalliah says: “It’s a fair call, mate!”

What is not fair is the overall Media portrayal of protest events across our nation this past weekend. However, what cannot be misconstrued or “media spun” is the body language of the constabulary present in their hundreds at the Melbourne Reclaim Rally alone. Every single policeman had their back turned to the peaceful “Reclaim” protestors! There is only one reason for their presence. Socialist alliance thugs have been recruiting uninformed, prejudicial thugs since the 1920s (ever since Trotsky invented the term “RACIST” as their mouthing moronic banner).

You may click the following video clip with RUAP National President Daniel Nalliah about the media prejudice against the Reclaim Australia rallies.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x80QQWcc0HA

Anyone at these rallies would have remarked upon the stirring renditions of “our” National anthem on the right side of police, and the condemnatory booing on the left side. At the former [April] rallies, the Aussie flag was burnt time and time again. By whom? The electronic and print media might leave you guessing.

Middle-aged and elderly women, of different ethnic backgrounds, dubbed as “white supremacists”, were spat upon and even knocked to the ground, by the time dishonoured juvenile bigots.

Meanwhile, Islamic clerics preached their doctrine of Apartheid and division, egged on by misguided youth.

We demand that the Federal Government conduct an inquiry into the destructive trend of anti-Australianism in our media; an open ticket for menacing Mohammedans to take our country.

Rise Up Australia Party president Daniel Nalliah is also calling for a public apology from all Media outlets for their gross misrepresentation of last weekend’s events; including an open mike to clarify the situation.

Rise Up Australia and Keep Australia Australian.

What Many Congregations are Now Doing on Sundays in Support of Persecuted Christians in the Middle East

Aimee Herd : Jun 1, 2015 : Ashley Webster, Inwook Song – Fox News

It’s a way of sending persecuted Believers the message that “we’re standing with you on this—you’re not alone.”

Many Christian Believers are exchanging their good Sunday clothes for a symbol of support for fellow Believers in the Middle East who are being persecuted for their faith. (Photo via Facebook)

Congregants are donning orange apparel, the same color as the jumpsuits ISIS terrorists have forced the Christians to wear before beheading them.

According to a Fox News report, it’s a trend that was made popular by a handful of Christian leaders, including Rev. Patrick Mahoney who runs the #OrangeJumpSuit project.

Speaking to reporters, a churchgoer in Dumont, NJ—John Estrada—said, “The reason why I am wearing an orange shirt is to represent the Christian brothers and sisters that are being persecuted.”

What Franklin Graham Wants Muslims to Know About the End Times

4/7/2015 Franklin Graham

At the core of the Islamic State doctrine is the belief that their adherents are waging warfare against unbelievers—infidels—in order to usher in an apocalyptic end-time battle in which Islam will finally and ultimately triumph.

Many Muslims believe that the Syrian town of Dabiq—near Aleppo—is the location predicted by the prophet Muhammad for this confrontation. In the ISIS journal Dabiq, the dark, evil mind of the terrorists is clearly stated: “As the world progresses toward al-Malhammah al-Kubra (the Great Battle), the option to stand on the sideline as a mere observer is being lost.”

Of course, the Bible speaks of a great conflict at the end of the age that will be waged at a place called Armageddon. The location is often interpreted as the mountain of Megiddo, located on the north side of the plain of Jezreel and frequently identified in the Old Testament as a military stronghold.

Described by the Apostle John as the “battle on the great day of God the Almighty” (Rev. 16:14), it will be the Lord Jesus Christ who returns in glory to vanquish every foe: Satan, his demonic legions, and all who are allied with the prince of darkness and have refused to bow their knee to the Savior.

Obama, the Jews, the Muslims, and Us

by Michael Ledeen – May 24, 2015

I don’t believe that any other American president has spent so much time talking to and about Jews as Obama.  It all began in the very first months of his presidency—in August, 2009–when he called 1000 rabbis, lobbying for support for Obamacare.  It was a full month before the High Holy Days, when Jews pray for a year of life and good health, and the president remarked that “we are God’s partners in matters of life and death.”

That was a considerable misstatement, for in these matters, Jews are supplicants, not partners.  Two months earlier, Obama had similarly distorted the nature of Zionism. In his speech to the Muslim world in Cairo, he maintained that Israel’s right to exist derived from the oppression of Jews for many centuries. But Zionist leaders always insisted that modern Israel’s legitimacy rests on millennia of history: it is the restoration of a Jewish state that was promised by the Almighty to Abraham, entrusted to Moses, conquered by Joshua, and ruled by David, Solomon, and their successors.

So the president isn’t very well informed about Judaism or Zionism, yet he is forever lecturing Jews and Israelis about what is really best for them, as if he had some special insight.  It is no accident that Obama is the only American president to write an introduction to the official military Jewish prayer book, prepared by US chaplains.  All previous presidents had left such matters up to the rabbinate.

Losing their religion: the hidden crisis of faith among Britain’s young Muslims

Sunday 17 May 2015- Andrew Anthony

As debate rages over the radicalisation of young British Muslims, are we overlooking a different crisis of faith? Ex-Muslims who dare to speak out are often cut off by their families and fear for their lives. A brave few tell us their stories.

Sulaiman Vali is a softly spoken 32-year-old computer engineer. A natural introvert not drawn to controversy or given to making bold statements, he’s the kind of person who is happiest in the background. He lives alone in a modest house on a quiet street in a small town in East Northamptonshire. He doesn’t want to be any more specific than that about the location. “If someone found out where I lived,” he explains, “they could burn my house down.”

Why should such an understated figure, someone who describes himself as a “nobody”, speak as if he’s in a witness protection programme? The answer is that six years ago he decided to declare that he no longer accepted the fundamental tenets of Islam. He stopped being a believing Muslim and became instead an apostate. It sounds quaintly anachronistic, but it’s not a term to be lightly adopted.

A Free Online Resource Connects People to the Message of Jesus

3/23/2015 Steve Strang

Imagine nearly everyone in the world holding a “gospel tract” that they check several times a day.

That’s what technology provides for believers who want to share their faith. With most of the modern world referring to their mobile devices, there’s an app that tells about Jesus in a fresh, winsome way—often using the testimonies of celebrities.

It’s a website and an app called “yesHeis,” the brainchild of a wealthy British businessman with a heart for ministry.

Lord Robert Edmiston has done charitable work since the late 1980s through an amazing ministry called Christian Vision, now called CV. To spread the gospel, CV utilizes many means, including shortwave radio, which was especially effective for many years in areas that have little to no religious freedom like that in Muslim-dominated countries.

I first heard about this at an international networking meeting of business and ministry leaders. I was so impressed that I downloaded the free app and later interviewed Lord Edmiston about it.

New content is posted daily on yesHEis.com. It’s easy to find videos from celebrities like Bono who give a very clear Christian witness. Material is arranged by topic for people who have a particular interest or who is grappling with a big problem.

Jihad Watch: Among the most attacked sites on the Internet

May 11, 2015 – By Robert Spencer

Daniel Cid, the Chief Technical Officer of the web security firm Sucuri, has informed me that of the thousands of websites his company protects, including sites much bigger than this one, Jihad Watch is by far the most frequently attacked:

Here at Sucuri we protect thousands of websites through our enterprise Website Firewall. One of the most disruptive attacks we see are known as Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attacks. These attacks are designed to disrupt the service and take down a website by overloading it with fake requests and making it inaccessible to everyone else.

Jihad Watch is one of those thousands of websites we help protect, and by far the most attacked we have in our network. It is targeted daily, by massive and large scale DDoS attempts that exceed 100Gbps of traffic on most days.

What is interesting is that DDoS attacks usually last for a few hours, up to days and go away. However, Jihad Watch has been under multiple, daily attacks, for more than a year (ranging from distributed advanced SYN floods, HTTP GET Floods, DNS/SSDP/NTP amplification attacks and many others).
