American Woman Raised by Lesbians Campaigns in Australia in FAVOR of Traditional Marriage

Teresa Neumann : Aug 18, 2015 : Australian Broadcasting Corporation

“What is government’s interest in marriage? It’s really not about affirming the connections that we have with one another. It has to do with the product of those unions and there’s something distinct about the product of a union between heterosexuals. What’s distinct is that they make babies and those babies have rights and those babies deserve protection.” -Katy Faust

(Australia) – As Australia is being pressured into voting to legalize gay marriage, proponents of traditional marriage are lending their support to the nation. One is Katy Faust, an American woman who was raised by lesbians and wants the world to know that children have a “right” to a father. (Video shot via ABC Australia)

Recently, Tony Jones, of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation interviewed Faust. The following are excerpts from that interview:

TONY JONES: How is it that the daughter of lesbian mothers has become a leading opponent of gay marriage? How does that work?

KATY FAUST: Simply because I recognized that while my mother was a fantastic mother and most of what I do well as a mother myself I do because that’s how she parented me, she can’t be a father. Her partner, an incredible woman – both of these women have my heart – cannot be a father either. Children have a right to be in relationship with their mother and father whenever possible, and as a society, we shouldn’t normalize a family structure that requires children to lose one or both parents to be in that household. RUAP social media article – 26th October

“From this time forward, under God, I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people, whose democratic beliefs I share. Whose rights and liberties I respect and whose laws I will uphold and obey”.

Migrants’ oath before Australian citizenship.

There is little doubt that the glory years of peace & prosperity in our Nation were embedded in the 1950s and 60s.

Indeed, for the entire time – 1949 to 1972 – that the Federal Labor Party was in the political wilderness, something truly great, and binding, transpired – THE SNOWY MOUNTAINS SCHEME.

The “Snowy” was the largest engineering project ever undertaken in Australia.

Statistically, 16 major dams [including the Eucumbene, Jindabyne & Blowering], 7 power stations and 225 kilometres of tunnels and pipelines were constructed.

Of crucial, further interest was the diversity and numbers of migrants who chipped in.

An estimated 100,000 people worked on the Scheme between 1949 and 1972; TWO thirds of them were migrants from over 40 countries!

In a very real sense, another Australian national identity, post-Anzac, was forged.

There was no centrelink cop out for these hardy migrants. Some worked day and night, principally out of gratitude to the “fair go” that this, their new Nation, was affording them. This is universally accepted. In fact, your correspondent’s dad was one of them.

The problems of latter day, sabre wielding Sharians as we witnessed at the weekend in Hyde Park, Sydney,

is that there is no loyalty to Australian laws and values, but its complete Antithesis.

American College of Pediatricians on Same-sex Marriage Ruling: ‘A Tragic Day for America’s Children’

http://www.breitbart.com ^ | June 26, 2015 | Susan Berry

GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 29, 2015 (Dr. Susan Berry) – In a statement released Friday, the president of the American College of Pediatricians said the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage will have a significantly negative impact on children in the United States.

Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the College, said:

[T]his is a tragic day for America’s children. The SCOTUS [Supreme Court of the United States] has just undermined the single greatest pro-child institution in the history of mankind: the natural family. Just as it did in the joint Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton decisions, the SCOTUS has elevated and enshrined the wants of adults over the needs of children.

The College, which has members in 44 states and in several countries outside the U.S., joined in an [amicus] brief in Obergefell v. Hodges, the case that has led to the legalization of same-sex marriage in all 50 states of the nation.

SIGNIFICANT IMPACT OF A FATHER HAS ON OUR HEALTH

The Significant Impact A Father Has On Our HealthView May 2015 Issue >> Joy

Latest medical research is tracing 87-95% of diseases back to “toxic mind-sets” upstream in our thought life, which come from a relationship breakdown on the following three levels:

  • A relationship breakdown with God – for example not being able to receive His love
  • A breakdown in relationship with yourself – for example a low self-esteem, guilt, shame, condemnation and self-hatred
  • A breakdown in relationship with others – for example hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, criticism, fault-finding, jealousy, envy and strife.

The key to healing is love
To recover from 95% of diseases, it is necessary to deal with the toxic-mindsets that cause them. Therefore the process of healing involves restoration in these three areas whereby you come back into a love relationship with God, yourself and others. When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. And the second greatest commandment is like it – love your neighbour as you do yourself. Upon this depends all the Law and the prophets” Matt 22:36-40.

So Jesus said, “What it is all about is loving God, loving yourself and loving others.” This is true, even in the area of healing! The key to divine health in one word is “love”! Because when you have a wholesome love relationship with God, yourself and others, you won’t have any of the toxic mindsets that cause disease!

The role of the father

Just as you cannot pour water into a glass from an empty jug – you cannot give out love to others if you don’t have it in you! You cannot love others without ‘loving yourself’ in a balanced way where you have a healthy self-esteem that is firmly rooted in the knowledge of who you are in Christ. If you don’t love yourself, you are going to have a hard time getting along with anybody else. The problem with many marriages today is two people who don’t know how to love themselves, who are trying to love each other! You cannot love yourself without first receiving the love of God the Father.

Fatherhood: The Most Important Job a Man Can Have

6/12/2015 Shawn A. Akers – Charisma News

Most dads wouldn’t want to readily confess their failures as a parent. It’s simply not in our nature to admit that we’ve made mistakes that have negatively impacted our children.

Author Gregory W. Slayton says the good news, however, is that dads don’t have to continue to pay for those mistakes. In his book, Be a Better Dad Today: 10 Tools Every Father Needs, Slayton wants to remind men—especially with Father’s Day approaching—that God continually gives us grace to move forward and to strive to be the Godly dad that your children need.

“I think we all struggle. I know that I’ve been a failure at times too,” Slayton says. “The good thing about it is that you can make a mistake, ask for forgiveness, get up and keep going. You really can be a better dad. You may say, ‘I’m terrible at this.’ But, you cannot give up. The only failure that occurs is when you give up.”

You may have said, or constantly say things to you children that you regret. You may have been inconsistent in disciplining your children. Perhaps you resorted to bribing your child to get a desired behavior. Or, maybe you allowed your “busy” schedule to intrude upon the quality time you should have been spending with children.

Teen With Down Syndrome Becomes a Supermodel, Challenges Us to See Disability Differently

Life News –  Sarah Zagorski  – May 19, 2015

18-year-old Madeline Stuart has Down syndrome but refuses to let that stop her from her dream of becoming a model. On her Facebook page she said she is pursuing modeling to “help change societies view of people with Down Syndrome.”

According to Buzzfeed, the woman’s mother, Roseanne Stuart, said her daughter has struggled with her weight throughout her life but recently picked up dance, swimming and cheerleading. Roseanne said, “I think it is time people realized that people with Down syndrome can be sexy and beautiful and should be celebrated.”

Roseanne said that culture is much more accepting of people with disabilities now than when her daughter was first born. She said, “Things were a lot different 18 years ago. I remember having her in a [stroller] when she was a baby and small-minded people telling me she should not be out in public. Even her doctors said Madeline would never achieve anything. But things are changing every day and people are more accepting of what they don’t understand yet.”

Additionally, Roseanne explained that her daughter has become very confident despite her disability and she constantly reminds her that she’s perfect just the way she is. She said, “I have made a point of never letting anyone be critical of her. [I tell Maddy] every day how amazing, funny, smart, beautiful, [and] wonderful she is. It’s that confidence — and beauty, both inside and out — that Rosanne wants others to see. People need to see how she shines, how her personality just bursts out.”
