Has Egypt’s experiment with Islamism failed?

By Dan Murphy JewishWorldReview.com |

The Muslim Brotherhood’s dominance may be over but its members may yet rejoice.

Making sense of the rough and tumble of politics in the shadow of the pyramids

CAIRO — (TCSM) When mass protests broke out against Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Jan. 25, 2011, the Muslim Brotherhood was on the cusp of a historic opportunity.

The Brothers didn’t start or organize the protests. That honor belonged to a loose coalition of leftists, democratic reformers, and Internet activists who used the murder of a young businessman by Egypt’s thuggish police, and the example of Tunisia’s own revolt, as the springboard for a history-altering uprising. The Brotherhood, fearful of a government crackdown as always, didn’t even join the protests until the handwriting was on the wall.

But the Brothers knew they were Egypt’s most popular and best-organized grass-roots movement and were perfectly poised to take advantage of a political opening. They grabbed the opportunity.

Now, 2-1/2 years later Mohamed Morsi, the man the Brothers propelled to Egypt’s presidency, is under house arrest, and his allies swept from political office and influence by the military. Brotherhood news media have been shuttered and arrest warrants issued for the group’s leaders. The same military that gave them their chance at power when it deposed Mr. Mubarak booted them from office in a second coup after protests that dwarfed those of 2011.

Great weekend for RUAP & CTFM in Albany & Perth, WA / Almost all seats now covered for Federal Election

Dear family & friends in Christ,

We thank and praise God for His mighty presence at every single meeting this past weekend in Albany & Perth, WA as Pr Daniel spoke at 5 different meetings in public and church venues.

The presence of God was so real at every meeting, including all the RUAP campaign meetings.

What was most amazing was that many people were in tears, as there was such a tangible presence of God at all the meetings.

RUAP now has candidates in almost every seat in WA along with #1 & # 2 Senate Candidates.

Pr Daniel stated,  “I will not lead this campaign if God does not lead me. I want His presence to be with me. I do not want to go before Him or lag behind Him. Oh, Lord help me walk with You.

I know God will use RUAP to bring Australia back to Jesus, as we have seen so many people accept the Lord into their lives at RUAP meetings. It is the presence of God that makes the difference.”

At some of the meetings there were so many unchurched people, including several who were so impacted by RUAP that they took membership and offered to help with our campaign.

On Sunday night at the public campaign meeting, the whole crowd stood up after Pr Daniel finished his speech, started clapping and would not stop. The place was just buzzing with excitement.

Pr Daniel also shared the prophetic word that he received from Pr Norm Armstrong about Smith Wigglesworth’s well known prophetic word pertaining to the coming end time move of God and revival in Australia.

Successful RUAP Canberra & Seaford Campaign Meetings / Radio links

Dear family & friends in Christ,

1) We praise and thank God for every opportunity that he gives us to share His Word and to see the presence of the Holy Spirit transform people’s lives!

Pastor Daniel, along with his family had to attend a family wedding in Sri Lanka (his country of birth) last Saturday.  Due to RUAP Campaign commitments, he had to return to Australia after three days, whilst his family continues to enjoy a few extra days in Sri Lanka.

After arriving in Melbourne on Wednesday, he had to depart immediately to Canberra to speak at a Campaign meeting that evening.

On Thursday, he returned to Melbourne to speak at another Campaign meeting in Seaford, where the Candidates for Dunkley and Isaacs were introduced.

We would greatly appreciate your prayer covering and support during this time as Pastor Daniel continues to manage a demanding and hectic schedule.

Today, Friday the 12th of July, he has departed to Albany and Perth, WA to speak at several RUAP Campaign meetings tonight and throughout the weekend.

Both Campaign meetings in Canberra and Melbourne were very successful, with many attending the meetings and several of them hearing about Rise Up Australia Party for the first time.

Pastor Daniel shared the vision of Rise Up Australia Party to Keep Australia Australian for generations to come.  People were greatly impacted and challenged resulting in many of them responding by taking up membership with the Party and voluntarily putting their hands up to help assist in getting the Party more exposure.

In Canberra Daniel introduced our Lead Senate Candidate for ACT Mr Irwin Ross.

We as a team were greatly encouraged by the media coverage that we received, particularly on radio before and after the event.

Queen’s Speech: Immigration rules ‘to be tougher’ (UK)

BBC ^ | 7 May 2013

The government is expected to announce tougher rules on immigration when it outlines its programme for the next year on Wednesday.

The Queen’s Speech will include a parliamentary bill aimed at making it easier to deport foreign criminals and those who enter the UK illegally.

Other bills will cap social care costs in England and introduce a single state pension of £144 a week.

But a plan to monitor online and mobile communications is likely to be dropped.

The Queen’s Speech, part of the State Opening of Parliament, allows the government to set out its proposed bills for the next parliamentary session.

Christianity declining 50pc faster than thought – as one in 10 under-25s is a Muslim (UK)

The Telegraph (UK) ^ | John Bingham – 05/20/2013

A new analysis of the 2011 census shows that a decade of mass immigration helped mask the scale of decline in Christian affiliation among the British-born population – while driving a dramatic increase in Islam, particularly among the young.

It suggests that only a minority of people will describe themselves as Christians within the next decade, for first time.

Meanwhile almost one in 10 under 25s in Britain is now a Muslim.

The proportion of young people who describe themselves as even nominal Christians has dropped below half for the first time.

Media Censors London Beheader Using Koran to Justify Atrocity

May 22, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield

You know that part in the video where the announcer is speaking over the Muslim killer. That’s the part where the killer is saying, “Many, many Ayah throughout the Koran that we must fight them as they fight us.” Instead the official media video cuts the Koran part out and picks up only when the Muslim killer says, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.”

That doctrine is used today by Muslim countries to demand a literal eye for an eye justice.

In August 2000, the Saudi Arabian media reported that Abdel Moti Abdel Rahman Mohammad, a 37-year-old-Egyptian national was subjected to forcible surgical removal of his left eye at King Fahd Hospital in Medina. The operation was carried out as a judicial punishment of Qisas after he was found guilty of disfiguring Shahata Ajami Mahmoud, a 53-year-old Egyptian.

So it’s not some sort of misunderstanding. This is mainstream Islam. And it’s horrifying.

But there is a larger context. The Koran, as usual, is blasting the Jews for not keeping the law of Allah, which Mohammed believed, actually involved taking out an eye for an eye.  The Jews never practiced this. Mohammed however insisted on it and laid out proper doctrine.

“The reward of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive to create disorder in the land is only this that they be slain or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on alternate sides, or they be expelled from the land.” (Quran 5:34)

Saudi Arabia sentences men to lashes for converting woman to Christianity

Reuters | 13 May, 2013 10:22

A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced two men to lashes and prison terms for converting a woman to Christianity and helping her flee the conservative Islamic kingdom, the Saudi Gazette reported on Monday.

A Lebanese man was sentenced to six years in prison and 300 lashes for converting the woman, while a Saudi man was sentenced to two years and 200 lashes for aiding her escape abroad, the English-language daily said. It added that the pair had challenged the verdict and would appeal.

A spokesman at the justice ministry could not immediately be reached for comment.

In Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, it is against the law for Muslims to abandon their faith, a practice known as apostasy. Proselytising for other religions or practising them openly is also illegal.

Judges have considerable leeway in how to interpret the kingdom’s Sharia code of Islamic law and are not bound by sentencing guidelines or a system of precedent. Both capital and corporal punishment are legal. (more…)

Media Release: Congradulations Kevin, Watch Your Back, Billy is Around / By Daniel Nalliah President of RUAP

I am sure we all have seen what seemed to be very much like a soap opera play out in Parliament over the past 3 years.

Ever since Kevin Rudd was removed from office as PM, oh what drama it has been.  At least in the West, we do not knife people with a real knife.  However, sometimes a knife called the tongue can be much more painful and the wounds can fester into a place of offence, bitterness and anger.

Well, this is what our nation has unfortunately experienced over the past 3 years and the worst of it all is that what we have all witnessed is a real life drama (not unlike a TV series such as “Days of our Lives”) played out on TV between Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd.

Well, many say that it is now finally over.  Really??  I don’t think so.

The main players are still on stage, including Bill Shorten and Kevin Rudd.  Just hold it, there very well could be two more actors joining the drama, Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull.

A while ago in 2007 we had John Howard and Peter Costello.  At least, these two men had more morals and character. While it too was a drama, the series was very short lived as the actors were clever enough to withdraw from the stage quickly.

Netanyahu Warns: Let’s Not ‘Delude Ourselves’ About the ‘Moderate’ New Iranian Leader

Jun. 16, 2013 Sharona Schwartz – The Blaze

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Sunday that world leaders should neither be fooled by the results of Friday’s election in Iran nor be encouraged to let up pressure regarding the country’s nuclear program.

Iranian President-elect Hasan Rowhani is being widely described as a “moderate,” a description Netanyahu took issue with in his first public reaction to the election.

Netanyahu said the world should keep up pressure on Iran to rein in its nuclear programme and avoid thinking the election of a moderate president will bring change.

At the beginning of the weekly meeting with his cabinet, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Regarding the results of the elections in Iran, let us not delude ourselves. The international community must not become caught up in wishes and be tempted to relax the pressure on Iran to stop its nuclear program,” according to an official transcript.

“It must be remembered that the Iranian ruler, at the outset, disqualified candidates who did not fit his extremist outlook and from among those whose candidacies he allowed was elected the candidate who was seen as less identified with the regime, who still defines the state of Israel as ‘the great Zionist Satan,’” Netanyahu said.

Questioning just how much influence the position of president holds in the Islamic Republic, Netanyahu said, “In any case, the ruler of Iran is the supreme leader, not the president, and it is he who determines nuclear policy. The more the pressure on Iran increases, the greater is the chance of stopping the Iranian nuclear program, which remains the greatest threat to world peace.”

Baptisms & Salvation at CTFM / Great RUAP campaign SA & Vic

Dear family and friends in Christ,

1) There is so much happening every week, that we just don’t know where to start!

Last weekend Pr Daniel preached the prophetic Word of God at CTFM Melbourne, as many were mightily blessed by the power & presence of God.

At the Sunday night service, CTFM leadership commissioned a team of Elders & Deacons into the ministry of taking care of the congregation. Pr Daniel & Pr Jenny anointed them with oil and prayed over them.

Then six people were water baptised. The whole place was just very much alive. People started dancing and praising God as the worship team led in worship and praise. A few young people who had recently given their hearts to Jesus were very excited to be baptised. There was a real sense of a real big party in the house of Lord!

On last Thursday, RUAP National President Daniel Nalliah spoke at a campaign meeting in Adelaide. The people gathered were very excited and many joined the branch in order to help in any way possible.

On last Saturday there was a Victorian Candidate Training Program for RUAP in Hallam. Out of the 37 electorates for Victoria, around 30 candidates participated.

Also, Endeavour Forum organised a meeting of around 70-80 people in Melbourne who were addressed by five Senate Candidate leaders from five different parties, including Daniel Nalliah.

Many who attended these meetings took RUA Party brochures and membership forms.

Since 22nd June was the 6th Anniversary of Australia’s Freedom of Speech Victory, Daniel spoke on the importance of ‘Keeping Australia Australian and protecting our Culture, which includes Freedom of Speech.

UK gay ‘marriage’ bill ignores children’s right to a mother and father: campaign group

by Hilary White – WESTMINSTER, June 17, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com

The needs of children of a father and mother are being ignored in favor of the putative “rights” of homosexuals in the rush to pass the same-sex “marriage” bill, a family campaign group has said.

The coalition government’s same-sex “marriage” bill is being considered in a committee of the House of Lords started today after being passed “in principle” in an overwhelming vote of 390 – 148 in favor.

Gay Marriage, No Thanks says it is aiming “to put the wellbeing of children at the centre of the same-sex marriage debate.”

The group called Gay Marriage, No Thanks, an “informal group of professionals and parents,” said today that the bill is entirely “adult focused” and ignores the human right of children to be reared by both natural parents. The group says it aims “to put the wellbeing of children at the centre of the same-sex marriage debate.”
