Man Without Limbs: Live Without Limits

Even with arms and legs, most people have not surfed in Waikiki Beach, conducted a 60-piece orchestra, gone to the slums of India and Egypt, or performed circus stunts for a Hollywood movie. But a man born without limbs did all that and more by the age of 27.
Nick Vujicic, known worldwide through his YouTube videos and DVDs, wants to challenge people to live without limits by looking at what he can do despite his disability. His new book, Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life, takes a personal look at his struggles growing up, including depression and suicidal thoughts, and how he overcame them.
“Too often we tell ourselves we aren’t smart enough or attractive enough or talented enough to pursue our dreams,†writes Vujicic, an inspirational speaker and evangelist. “What’s worse is that when you consider yourself unworthy, you are putting limits on how God can work through you.â€
Pakistan Minister Condemns Reward for Killing Christian Woman

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti condemned Saturday the recent announcement of a reward for killing the jailed Christian woman on death row for blasphemy.
Bhatti said the call is unjust and irresponsible and should be discouraged in the strongest possible manner because no one has the right to issue a decree to kill someone else, according to Pakistan’s Daily Times newspaper. He also added that Pakistan is a civilized country and violation of the rule of law is not allowed.
“Every legal and constitutional means will be adopted in the Asia Bibi case,†assured Bhatti, who was in charge of investigating the case and reported that Bibi was innocent to President Asif Ali Zadari.
A hard-line imam known for making similar reward-for-murder calls in the past offered about $6,000 (500,000 rupees) to anyone who kills Asia Bibi during his sermon at the largest mosque in Peshawar on Friday. Imam Maulana Yousuf Qureshi also threatened the government to not amend or repeal the blasphemy laws “which provide protection to the sanctity of Holy Prophet Muhammad,†according to Asia News.

Starting with Chinchilla, Rockhampton, St George, Toowoomba & Brisbane which are all in Queensland, then Horsham and the surrounding towns in Victoria, all were miraculously saved from major disaster when Bible-believing God-fearing Christians cried out to the Lord of the heavens and the earth!
Right now the urgent media news in Victoria is that the Murray River is about to break its banks and is expected to reach its peak level in the next 24 hours. This would result in Swan Hill and many surrounding towns going under water.
Once again would you please prayerfully petition Heaven’s throne room and ask the Lord to stop the river from reaching its peak as predicted. For those of us who have not been affected by the floods, I don’t think that we can even imagine what the people in these towns are going through. So please take some time and cry out to the Lord for mercy. Also pray that many will turn to Jesus through this crisis.

Scientists using NASA’s Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope have detected beams of antimatter produced above thunderstorms on Earth, a phenomenon never seen before.
Scientists think the antimatter particles were formed in a terrestrial gamma-ray flash (TGF), a brief burst produced inside thunderstorms and shown to be associated with lightning. It is estimated that about 500 TGFs occur daily worldwide, but most go undetected. (NASA.gov)

Although we are experiencing only a little of God’s manifest presence right now in the Body of Christ and Nation of Australia, we are sure we will soon experience a mighty spiritual outpouring of His Holy Spirit throughout our Great South Land with a supernatural flood of Living Water from Heaven’s Throne Room, washing and cleansing our Nation, preparing her for the soon coming of our Bridegroom Saviour, Lord, Judge, and King!
Pr Daniel ministered on the weekend gone by on Kangaroo Island in South Australia in revival meetings which were organised by the Uniting Church leadership on the island. Many Churches and Pastors from the island united as one to seek the Father’s heart for our nation as the Spirit of God moved most powerfully touching many lives and healing many others. The people gathered were absolutely blessed and were set on fire for Jesus!
Pr Daniel stated, ‘I am so glad to see the body of Christ unite as one to seek the Father’s heart. Particularly, I was very excited to see the 2 Uniting Church Ministers, both ladies, so much on fire for Jesus. They even prophesied over me and challenged me to keep standing for Jesus. I was wondering to myself, is this really happening? Uniting Church Ministers praying in tongues and prophesying. Well, glory to God there are many Uniting Church Leaders who have refused to compromise their stand for Jesus. They are under constant attack, but praise God they are part of the remnant rising up to take a stand for Jesus. I believe that the Lord is rising up His remnant from every denomination as the Kingdom of God. I thank the Lord for the opportunity he has given me as I travel all over Australia to work with the body of Christ, and not just one particular denomination. They are a faceless and nameless people who I believe will rise up and lead an end-time revival move of God’s Holy Spirit!”
Tragedy, Judgment, Grace

Whenever a major disaster or national tragedy breaks forth, a heated debate tends to arise within Christian circles. Opinions tend to be polarised, with two sets of extremes on offer. On the one hand are those who claim this is all the judgment of God, and people need to repent. On the other hand are those who argue that God would never do such things, and it is ridiculous to drag God into any of this.
From a biblical point of view, I tend to find both perspectives unhelpful. The truth is, we often simply do not know – and are not told – why a particular event happens. Are the floods in Queensland the direct and specific work of God, whether in judgment or for some other reason?
Who knows? I can’t say that it is or it is not. We simply cannot know for certain. So we need to be careful about rushing to judgment here. The truth is, when God acted in the Old Testament, he generally revealed his purposes in his actions. He would communicate his purposes to man, often through his prophets. Thus divine actions were explained by divine speech.
We now refer to this as speech acts. God acts, but he utters his intentions along with it. There are countless examples of this found in the Old Testament. For example, Yahweh says to Jeremiah, “When you tell these people all this and they ask you, ‘Why has the LORD decreed such a great disaster against us? What wrong have we done? What sin have we committed against the LORD our God?’ then say to them, ‘It is because your ancestors forsook me,’ declares the LORD, ‘and followed other gods and served and worshiped them. They forsook me and did not keep my law’†(Jer. 16:10-11).
Prayers answered – Brisbane river did not reach its expected peak

We thank our faithful Heavenly Father for the tremendous answer to yesterday’s prayers as the Brisbane river did not reach its expected peak. Thank you so much for praying.
When around 100 Bible-believing God-fearing Christians gathered at the Victorian Parliament steps yesterday 12th January a few people asked Pr Daniel as to why he gave such short notice regarding the prayer meeting. He responded, “It was because the need was immediate and he had the sudden prompting of the Holy Spirit to stand in the gap for the Queensland and our nation of Australia. It was not so much about how many people came for the meeting as it was about Bible-believing God-fearing Christians around the nation uniting in prayer and standing together in the gap for our nation.â€
We thank God that last night Channel 9 and Channel 7 News covered part of the prayer meeting on the steps of the Victorian Parliament, taking the need for prayer to homes all across Australia.

Prayer Rally on Victorian Parliament Steps a Great Success

Firstly, We want to praise and thank our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for stopping the rain just in time in downtown Melbourne, so that we could have the prayer meeting on the steps of Parliament.Â
For those of you living out of Melbourne, there was heavy rain pouring down all night and early morning, but after we prayerfully asked our faithful Heavenly Father to stop the rain so that we could have the prayer meeting, He answered our prayers. Glory to God.
Around 100 Bible-believing God-fearing Christians from many churches, denominations & cultures dared the rain and gathered today Wednesday 12th January 2011 at midday at the Victorian Parliament steps in Melbourne to prayerfully repent and stand in the gap for our nation of Australia, particularly for the flood crisis in QLD and the fires in WA.
We thank and praise our prayer answering God that thousands more gathered around the country at the same time to bring our nation of Australia before the Lord’s heavenly throne of grace and mercy to seek Him to heal our land as in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.
It was a very rare sight to witness around 100 Christians fall on their knees in repentance and prayer, kneeling right on the steps of the Victorian Parliament in full view of all the public in the city of Melbourne.
Global warming has slowed down over the past 10 years, say scientists

The rate at which global temperatures are rising has slowed in the past decade, scientists said today. In a report published today, the Met Office said the slow in the rate of warming was down to a combination of natural variation in the weather and pollution. Scientists say one of the major factors is the rise in heavy industry and pollutant ‘aerosols’, particularly in Asia.An upsurge in industrial emissions such as sulphur which are being pumped into the atmosphere reflects sunlight and could lead to a cooling effect.

Amazing Dreams and Visions Coming Out of the Middle East

Middle East (MNN) ― Last week we told you about Muslim leaders warning Muslims about the danger presented by the “network of house churches” in the country. Despite threats, Christians aren’t easing their desire to share the Gospel. Many young Iranian leaders met in a nearby country to receive training from a E3 Partners team.
Vice President of Church and Ministry Partnerships with E3, Tom Doyle, says those who receive the training were young. “Many of them 22 to 25 are pastoring churches throughout Iran. And the church is growing in Iran. Obviously, it’s a very threatening existence for them.”
From there the team traveled to Israel. “My buddy Jason Elam, who used to be a place kicker for the [Denver] Broncos, was also hosting with me. He’s a wonderful Bible teacher. And he’s getting involved.”
The work in Israel focused on the city of Haifa. “Haifa is the place where Arab and Jews really get along in Israel, and they work together. We worked with a church there. [We] did some things in the West Bank and did Gospel outreach in Tel Aviv,” which is a secular city.
E3 has a desire to see the Middle East turn to Christ. Doyle says many are turning to Christ. He says the way they’re doing so is amazing. “We found that Muslim-background believers, many of them, in our informal surveys — maybe even as many as half of them — had a dream or a vision before they came to Christ. They became a ‘seeker,’ found a believer, heard a message on the radio, or found a Bible.”
The Saudi Problem

It shouldn’t have needed confirmation, but the latest WikiLeaks release affirmed what astute observers of the Middle East have known for a long time: Saudi Arabia is a most dangerous ally. On the one hand, King Abdullah is reported as having urged America to “cut off the head of the snake,†referring to the radical fundamentalist regime in Iran. On the other hand, another cable states that “Saudi donors remain the chief financiers of Sunni militant groups like al-Qaida.†Neither bit of news is terribly surprising, but it puts new focus on the troubling, entangling and often hypocritical alliance between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Obama administration, like administrations before it, surely understands the complexity of the Saudi problem. The question is: how to solve it? Given Obama’s lamentable foreign policy track record, it would seem that America is farther away than ever from formulating a plan to deal with the Saudi monarchy.
Do You Want Supernatural Favor?
God has crowned man with glory and favor, giving him dominion over the works of His hands.
When I first began my ministry, I was scared. In those days, women were not as widely accepted in the pulpit as they are today. Afraid of being rejected, I bent over backward to behave in the way I thought would please people. The only problem was that I was trying to earn approval, and it didn’t work.
At the time, I knew nothing about supernatural favor. I didn’t realize that favor is a part of grace. In fact, in the New Testament the words grace and favor both are translated from the Greek word charis.
The grace of God is the favor of God. And the grace of God causes good things to happen in our lives through the channel of faith. It is not by human power or might but through God’s Spirit of grace that we find favor with God and man.
Belief in Christ still the biggest

CHRISTIANITY remains the world’s biggest religion, but Islam is catching up while non-belief increased enormously over the past century but is now in sharp decline, according to the Christian Research Association.
Australian religious trends of rising agnosticism and declining Christianity contradict most of the world, the association reports in its December bulletin.
The bulletin quotes the findings of the Centre for the Study of Global Christianity, which compares the state of global religions in 1910 and 2010.
Christians made up 34.8 per cent of the world’s 1.75 billion people in 1910, and 33.2 per cent of the 6.9 billion today. But where a century ago most Christians lived in Europe and North America, today most live in Africa and South America.
Muslims have risen from 12.6 per cent in 1910 to 22.4 per cent today, and Hindus from 12.7 to 13.7 per cent. Agnostics have risen from 0.2 to 9.3 per cent or 640 million people, while atheists have risen from less than 0.1 per cent to 2 per cent, or 138 million.
