Global Warmists Struggle to Explain Lack of Warming in the Globe

April 1, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield of Front Page Magazine

The mark of bad science is

1. Insisting that a theory is a fact

2. Refusing to abandon a theory even when the evidence points the other way

3. Faking evidence to support a theory for reasons of ideology and profit

Global Warmists are guilty of all three and their struggle to deal with the unraveling science is nothing short of hilarious.

OVER the past 15 years air temperatures at the Earth’s surface have been flat while greenhouse-gas emissions have continued to soar. The world added roughly 100 billion tonnes of carbon to the atmosphere between 2000 and 2010. That is about a quarter of all the CO? put there by humanity since 1750. And yet, as James Hansen, the head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, observes, “the five-year mean global temperature has been flat for a decade.” (more…)

TD Jakes Tired of ‘Hollywood Spirit,’ Focus on Preachers’ Popularity

By Stoyan Zaimov , Christian Post Reporter – April 11, 2013

Bishop TD Jakes of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas, said in a recent sermon that he is tired of the “Hollywood spirit” that has taken over the church and placed a large focus on the size and popularity of ministries rather than the value of the message they preach.

“I am so sick of this Hollywood spirit that has overtaken the church,” Jakes said, according to The Atlanta Daily World.

The preacher leads one of the largest megachurches in America, attracting a congregation of 30,000 members and celebrates its milestone 35th anniversary last year.

Despite this, Jakes, who is also a filmmaker and bestselling author, said that what is important is the message, and not how popular the speaker is.

“We do not have to have big names to have a big move of God,” Jakes said. “I got filled up with the Holy Ghost by somebody that didn’t have no name at all.”

Confronting the Error of Hyper-Grace

Charisma News – 2/18/2013 – Michael Brown

The biblical message of grace is wonderful, glorious and life-transforming. We can’t live without it for one second of our lives. But there is a message being preached today in the name of a new grace reformation, mixing powerful truth with dangerous error. I call it hyper-grace.

One of the foundational doctrines of the hyper-grace message is that God does not see the sins of his children, since we have already been made righteous by the blood of Jesus and since all of our sins, past, present and future, have already been forgiven.

That means that the Holy Spirit never convicts believers of sin, that believers never need to confess their sins to God, and that believers never need to repent of their sins, since God sees them as perfect in his sight.

It is easy to see how such teaching can be dangerous, especially to a believer being tempted to compromise.

One hyper-grace teacher wrote this: “When God looks at me, He doesn’t see me through the blood of Christ, He sees me—cleansed! Likewise, He sees us as holy and righteous. He sees us, and He loves what He sees!”

University Puts ‘Stomp on Jesus’ Professor on Leave for Safety Concerns

Charisma News– 4/1/2013 – Gina Meeks

Florida Atlantic University has put Deandre Poole, who had his students write Jesus’ name on paper and stomp on it, on administrative leave.

Florida Atlantic University has put a professor who taught a controversial lesson last month on administrative leave.

The institution announced Friday that Deandre Poole, who had his students write Jesus’ name on paper and stomp on it, was placed on leave for safety reasons.

“As a result of the reaction to a recent exercise in Dr. Poole’s intercultural communications class, the instructor’s personal safety has been compromised,” the university said in a statement.

“Because of this, Dr. Poole will not teach any classes, conduct office hours, or be present at any of FAU’s campuses or sites. Alternate instructors have been assigned to teach Dr. Poole’s classes. Students have been notified and classes will continue as scheduled.”

Blacks don’t believe gay rights are the same as civil rights: poll

by Ben Johnson – Mon Apr 01, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 1, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – By a two-to-one margin, blacks reject the notion that homosexual rights compare with the civil rights struggles of the 1950s and ’60s, according to a new poll commissioned by Robert Johnson, the founder of Black Entertainment Television.

The poll found that more blacks oppose redefining marriage and believe clergy are right to denounce homosexuality.

In all, 55 percent of blacks deny the idea “that equal rights for gays are the same as equal rights for African Americans.” Only 28 percent believe they are the same.

Despite the endorsement of prominent black leaders including the president, 42 percent of blacks still believe marriage should be “restricted to a man and a woman,” more than those who believe gays should be able to marry (40 percent).

Quit Trying to Be Big … and Just Be Faithful

Charisma News 4/10/2013 – J. Lee Grady

There’s nothing more disheartening to a preacher than to see empty seats in a church service. I’ll be honest—I like meetings where you have to pull out extra chairs and put people in the aisles. Why? Because I assume if God’s blessing is on a meeting it will be packed. I like numbers because, in my carnal thinking, crowds are more significant.

Our culture puts value on things depending on how popular they are, and we are guilty of applying this rule in the church. We like big. We even rate churches based on size. We know that the three largest churches in America in 2013 are (1) Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church, (2) Andy Stanley’s North Point Ministries and (3) Bill Hybels’ Willow Creek Community Church. The assumption is that these churches are leading the way in making spiritual impact.

But God doesn’t evaluate us based on numbers, nor does He rate our effectiveness by comparing us to someone else. Many pastors of small or mid-size churches get discouraged because they evaluate their ministries by counting the number of rear ends in seats or the amount of money in offering plates. But God’s ways are not our ways! Remember these kingdom principles:

Less is sometimes more. Jesus attracted big crowds, but the numbers didn’t impress Him because He knew many who were healed in His meetings wouldn’t follow Him to the cross. He even told one of His crowds that the gospel seeds He was sowing would be eaten by birds, scorched and withered, or choked by thorns (see Mark 4:3-8). Only a small percentage, He said, would bear fruit. Jesus was looking for quality, not quantity.

Radical Muslims, Terrorism & Islam in Australia and around the World

Dear family & friends in Christ,

1) The following is a very sad and shocking account of radical Islamic slaughter of several hundred children in Beslan, Russia in 2004.

Pr Daniel stated, “I know this is an old story, but let me tell you I did not know the horrific account of what happened in that school in Beslan.

We are called to be watchmen on the wall. We must warn the people of the rising evil through the spirit of Islam. Make no mistake, we must still love all Muslims, no matter how hard it is.

The Word of God states, ‘For a lack of knowledge, My people perish.’ We must wake up and we must speak up.”

Children Of Beslan Terrorists, Bring Their Slaughtering Ways To Boston 4/19/13 | Chuck Wolk

Beslan is a place few Americans have ever heard of, yet now they know how evil Chechen Muslims can be, because it was Chechen Muslims who set off the bombs at the Boston Marathon. It was Chechen Muslims who put school children, their teachers, and parents through 3 days of horror, before killing many in a bloodbath that will be remembered for many years. The reason? They were not Muslim. 11 years later, two Chechen men have killed and injured Americans near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Why? Just because they were not Muslim? We may never know. What we do know, is that these two men have lived up to the evil that the men of their homeland, and their religion are known for.

First the hate-words. Next the deeds? Andrew Bolt Blog  Wednesday, April 24, 2013

I know Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia is made up mainly of loudmouths and students.  Yet these young men have been able to draw a crowd:

CONTROVERSIAL British Muslim leader Taji Mustafa …  addressed a gathering of about 500 people at the annual conference of Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir at Bankstown in Sydney?s southwest on Sunday.

They have a dangerously equivocal attitude to violence, to judge from their public comments:

THE Australian branch of the political group Hizb ut-Tahrir has denied any involvement in Saturday?s riot in Sydney, but declined to join the many other Muslim groups condemning the actions of violent protesters?

I think everyone condemning it is not going to do anything – let?s talk about the real issues,?? said the group?s spokesman, Uthman Badar.

And the hate they preach could one day find someone only too ready to join the dots and act upon it:

Anzac Day is commemorated with increasing fervour each year on April 25th in Australia. It is something Muslims should not actively or passively partake in.

Boston bombing / Can we still love and embrace a Muslim or should we be fearful of them?? by Daniel Nalliah

Dear fellow Australians,

This is a million dollar question and a very tricky one.

Can we still love and embrace a Muslim or should we be fearful of them and not have anything to do with them??

Many have asked me this question because of my strong stand against the religion of Islam that  Muslims follow.  When I give them my response, that I genuinely love the Muslim people, they are very often shocked or think that I am not fair-dinkum.

As those of you who surely know by now, I say what I mean and mean what I say. We must understand that a person cannot choose what religion they want to be born into. However, when a person grows older, they can choose whatever religion they want to follow or have no religion at all.

This is the freedom we enjoy in our country Australia.

However, in many cultures around the world, this is not an option. In particular, in Islam (which is culture, religion & law) from birth you are indoctrinated with the teachings of Mohammed and the Muslims are forced to follow the Quran. So a true Muslim is a person who follows the teachings of Mohammed and the Quran.

The Boston brothers were very nice moderate Muslims, up until they started visiting the Mosque regularly and started learning about Jihad from the Quran.

Make no mistake, it is not the teacher who radicalises a Muslim who should only be blamed, but the Quran from which they teach, a book promoting hate, violence, terror, death and destruction.

So how can we love a Muslim and yet not accepts the teachings of Islam.  There are many sincere Muslims and in particular, in most cases Muslim women who are victims of their own religion. They cannot speak out against their religion, as according to the Quran you will be very severely punished.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s Favorite Song: “We Will Dedicate Our Lives to the Jihad”

April 19, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield of Frontpage Magazine

We still don’t know what exactly motivated two Muslim terrorists to kill Americans. Maybe it was the weather. Maybe there was nothing good on television. Or maybe they were Muslim terrorists.

In support of the farfetched theory that the Muslim terrorists were Muslim terrorists is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s YouTube Channel. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had three named playlists. One was called “Islam”, one was called “Terrorists” and one was called “Timur Mucuraev”.

Mucuraev is a popular Chechen Jihadist singer. His music  is full of cheerful songs like “12,000 Mujahideen”, “Insallah, We are Waiting for Paradise”, “Chechnya on Fire”, “The Holy Jihad (Rise Muslim)”, “The Warriors of Jihad”, “Hey, Shahid”, “Paradise Under the Shadow of Swords”, “The Islamic Ummah”, “Islamic Reconquest”, “Ins’Allah, We Are Waiting for Candy (after a terrorist attack)” and “Welcome to Hell”.

We Will Dedicate Our Lives to the Jihad is the Timur Mucuraev song that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev added to his playlist.

Gay Rights Activists Can’t Put the Church in the Closet

1/28/2013 Michael Brown

There are many people today who despise conservative religious beliefs, but they are quick to say, “We don’t want to restrict your religious freedoms in any way. Just keep your beliefs in the church.” What they fail to realize is that the church is not a closet, and it is our private beliefs that fuel our public acts. Shouldn’t it be this way?

President Obama claims that it was conversations he had with his daughters, coupled with his interpretation of the teaching of Jesus, that caused him to take a public stand for same-sex “marriage” last May. Did his supporters criticize him for bringing his private beliefs into the public square? (If anyone could be criticized for this, it is the President of the United States, because of his massive powers and influence.)

When gay clergy fought for the redefinition of marriage in their respective states, based on their religious beliefs, were they faulted for this? Did the secular media vilify them for violating the separation of Church and State?

Just a few days ago, Sen. Dianne Feinstein opened up her anti-gun press conference by inviting Rev. Canon Gary Hall, the gay-affirming Dean of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, to offer up a prayer. As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Hall spoke briefly before the prayer, calling for Washington lawmakers to stop fearing the gun lobby and fulfill their ‘moral duty’ to restrict guns.

Sex Symbols Who Speak in Tongues?

Charisma Magazine – 12/4/2013 Michael Brown

I was at the grocery store the other day when I was unexpectedly confronted with an adult-oriented magazine located right next to the vitamin section. I immediately had to look away from the front cover, which featured a scantily-clad, seductively-posed, sex symbol. Yet it was only a few weeks ago that I read an article about how this same sex symbol loves to speak in tongues and has to restrain herself from outbursts in tongues while attending church services. What?

This is actually a perfect illustration of American charismatic Christianity, where you can say you love Jesus (like the rapper “The Game” claims to do) and still frequent strip clubs (as “The Game” still does), or where you can flow in the gifts of the Spirit and become a made-for-TV preaching sensation, only to announce that God told you that you married the wrong woman, leading to a quick divorce and remarriage.

Yes, this is the “gospel” of the 21st century, “Spirit-filled” church of America, where the cross is bypassed, denial of the flesh is scorned, purity is called legalism, and anything goes if it feels good.

It is the “gospel” of self, in which Jesus dies to make you into a bigger and better you, a “gospel” in which God is here to serve you and help you fulfill your dreams, and where the measure of all things is not how God feels about it but how you feel about it (or how it makes you feel).

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson’s Politically Incorrect Speech at Prayer Breakfast a YouTube Sensation

By Leonardo Blair , CP Contributor – February 11, 2013

Dr. Benjamin Carson, Gifted Hands author and director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., brought an audience of dignitaries, including President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle, to their feet last Thursday after dishing a speech packed with parables, wit, biblical scriptures and punch at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. Now, it’s resounding with everyday Americans, too.

The doctor’s 25-minute speech displayed a “logical” and “common-sense” approach to issues like freedom of speech, education, taxation, the national debt and spirituality, and has already captured more than a million hits on YouTube and elicited headlines and calls like the Wall Street Journal’s “Ben Carson for President.”

“Smart man! Put him in the White House,” agreed Mary Ledet on Monday in her comments posted on the video of Carson’s speech, which was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday.

“LOL! I absolutely love how Ms. Obama was applauding at the end of the speech. I really don’t think she realized how much of what Dr. Carson said was in direct CONFLICT of everything her husband is doing to this country,” noted another commenter under the screen identified as 4stripguy. “I actually think she enjoyed and even agreed with much of what Dr. Carson said for if one does not, one wouldn’t applaud as hard…” the commenter continued.

Faith-based groups like the Pennsylvania Pastors’ Network also gave Carson’s remarks their blessings on Monday.

“Dr. Carson verbalized sentiments felt but rarely voiced by a strong majority of American Christians who are committed to living according to the commands of scripture,” said Sam Rohrer, president of the Pennsylvania Pastors’ Network, in a statement. “Tenets like personal responsibility, moral uprightness, and fiscal restraint are not just smart politics; they are also biblically and constitutionally sound and the basis for America’s success since its inception,” he noted.

WHAT AN ORPHAN CAN TEACH

By Mary Hutchinson , CP Guest Contributor – February 13, 2013

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinner, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.” (Ps. 1:1-2)

At 11-years-old, Su Su Thtwe knows more about walking in the counsel of the godly than most people her age do. She knows more about it, even, than some adults.

Every night, Su Su sleeps on the dusty concrete floor of a church in Myanmar. Given away by her mother, and then by her sister, she has nowhere else to go. The only things she can call her own are a little pink dress and a school uniform. But Su Su is happy. She delights in being raised in a Christian ‘home.’

The youngest of six children, Su Su was born in Kywe Lan Village, Myanmar, a small village of bamboo huts, located 3 ½ hours from the nearest major city, Yangon. Her parents struggled to care for the children and an elderly relative, and when Su Su’s father died, her mother gave up.

By then Su Su’s older siblings had married and moved on, leaving Su Su alone. Her mother didn’t want to deal with her, and asked Su Su’s sister, who had two children of her own, to take her in. For almost three years, she lived with her sister in another bamboo hut nearby. (more…)
