Messianic Ministry Aids Pakistan Flood Victims

Pakistan floodsWednesday, 25 August 2010 Adrienne S. Gaines News – Featured News

A Messianic Jewish organization based in Jerusalem is organizing relief efforts for Pakistan, which has been facing the worst flooding in 80 years.

Next month, the missions ministry Keren HaShlichut will go into Pakistan and help distribute food and supplies for victims of massive flooding that the United Nations estimates has affected nearly 14 million people.

Although Pakistan is largely a Muslim country and considered by some to be an enemy of Israel, Keren HaShlichut director Gavriel Gefen said his organization is committed to showing Christ’s love by serving those in other nations.

“I’ve endeavored to bring the believing community in Israel to a place of seeking to bless and to serve the nations rather than only always seeking those in the nations that would bless and serve us,” he said.
Gefen has ministered among 500 tribal groups in 80 countries and says Muslim communities have received Messianic missionaries warmly. Many have been open to hearing the gospel.

Good News! Mosab Yousef Can Stay in America

Mosab Yousefby Dan Wooding : Jun 30, 2010 :

Judge agrees to grant him asylum after governement drops its objection to him staying

UPDATE by Dan Wooding: (San Diego)—Mosab Hassan Yousef, author of the best-selling, “Son of Hamas” has won the right to stay in the Unites States after a huge campaign by both Christians and Jews had called for him to be granted U.S. asylum.

With his friends in court to support him, Yousef got the news during a 15-minute deportation hearing Wednesday (June 30, 2010,) in San Diego, California, after a U.S. Department of Homeland Security attorney said the government was dropping its objections.

Yousef is the eldest son of Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, and became a Christian some time back after being given a Gospel tract in Jerusalem by a London taxi driver who was on vacation in the Holy Land.

After his conversion, he later became a spy for Israel’s Shin Bet agency and their leadership had praised his courage.

The battle to keep Yousef in American began when the DHS denied his asylum request in February 2009, claiming that he had been involved in terrorism and was a threat to the United States. (more…)

Mohammed (A Former Muslim) now preaching Jesus at CTFM this Sunday

Dear family & friends in Christ,

Mohammed a former Muslim from Pakistan, now a mighty Christian man of God, will be preaching at the CTFM base in Hallam at the 9.30am service. This man of God was once a very prominent and radical Muslim leader in Pakistan who hated the Christians and Jews, but today he absolutely loves everyone with the love of Jesus!

He was born into a very strict and radical Muslim family in Pakistan.  His father was one of the leading Islamic clerics in the country. When his Muslim parents found out that their son had become a Christian, they wanted to kill him, but most amazingly God protected him.

This dear brother in Christ has served with the Pakistan Air Force for many years. Once he was born-again he began to share his Christian faith with everyone he met, including his Muslim mates in the Air Force. When the Air Force found out that he had become a Christian he was sentenced to jail. After 4 months he was miraculously released from prison.

Jesus Christ Television has just celebrated its sixth anniversary.

He is also the general secretary of the River of God Ministry which is also based in Lahore, the second largest city in Pakistan after Karachi. Pastor Rauf, founder of JCTV, has endured persecution for his vision of Christian television in Pakistan, but he is undaunted.

“I am thankful to God for the day God opened the door for media ministry in Pakistan through Jesus Christ Television,” he says in a story carried by www.nrb.org.

A couple of years ago, I caught up with Pastor Rauf in Seoul, Korea and, in an interview, he first explained how the TV channel came about.

“The River of God Ministry has been working in Pakistan for many years now and we are doing a great work over there arranging lots of crusades, conventions and seminars,” said Pastor Rauf.

“God gave our ministry a vision to start television in Pakistan and so in 2004, we started Jesus Christ Television (more…)

Muslim men beat up Christians and then implicate them in ‘fake’ police case

ASSIST News Service (ANS) Saturday, May 8, 2010 By Jawad Mazhar Correspondent for ANS, reporting from Pakistan

SARGODHA, PAKISTAN— Shocking news has just come out that on the Easter Sunday (April 4, 2010), ten Christian men were beaten by rich and powerful fundamentalist Muslims in Sargodha, located in Pakistan’s Punjab province, and then, despite being severely injured, were booked by the local police.

‘The biggest precedent of injustice served on Pakistani Christian Citizens,’ says Christian leader

According to news given to ANS by Farrukh Tanvir, President of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) Youth Wing of the Sargodha region, the Christians had protested about the way some local Muslims had abused, scorned, mocked, called pejorative names and about hearing obscene language used against Christian women and girls going to the Easter Sunday Service at the Catholic Church of the Virk Colony, near Chak # 48-SB, Sargodha, by local Muslims.

Tanvir, talking to ANS in an exclusive interview, said that on the morning of Easter Sunday, jubilant Christian girls, women, men and children dressed in new clothes were going to attend the service at the only Catholic church of the Virk colony.

He said that a gang of “radical local Muslim youths of the Faqira clan” were standing in the way of the Christians going into the church and they started “playing pranks” with the congregants and hurled insults at them for “being Christians and celebrating the Easter Festival”. (more…)

Pakistan Federal Minister for Minorities condemns violence, while some Christian villagers are missing after July 30 attack

By Dan Wooding and Sheraz Khurram Khan

Scene of the July 30 destructionTOBA TEK SINGH, GOJRA, PAKISTAN (ANS) — In another shocking display of violence in Pakistan, Islamists set ablaze some 60 Christian houses in Korian village in Toba Tek Singh district on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 9:00 pm Pakistan time after a blasphemy accusation was leveled against a young Christian boy, Imran Masih, and his father Talib Masih.

Eye-witnesses told ANS they could still see plumes of smoke rising from some houses of the village today (Friday, July 31.)

The trouble began for the Christian residents of Korian when Talib, a Christian vendor ignorantly brought home a piece of paper that had Quranic verses written on it, along with some other rough papers.

Talib’s children innocently ripped apart the paper not understanding its contents.

When some local Muslims found the torn pieces of paper, the anti-Christian hostility spread like a wildfire in the village. (more…)

My Imam Father Came After Me With An Axe!

“An amazing article printed in The Times in the UK this week….

The article tells the story of ‘The Imam’s Daughter’ by speaking with the author of a new book written by a girl who was a Muslim and converted to Christianity. The book was released on 5 March 2009.

The book – and the article – highlight how she lived in the UK, was raped by her father who was an imam, how she faced a forced marriage at 16 and fled her family, and then became a Christian.
She then feared for her life when they tried to kill her.

The author, “Hannah”, is now married… She wants to highlight the plight of Muslim women in Britain.

Several people have already sent this to me – it is an amazing story.

The book:
The Imam’s Daughter, by “Hannah Shah”.
Please Click Here for details of the book on Amazon.”
