French rally against gay marriage

Paris: Riot police have battled hundreds of troublemakers in Paris at the end of a largely peaceful march by tens of thousands opposed to France’s new gay marriage law.

Sunday’s main demonstration saw three separate processions converging on the Invalides esplanade, filling the huge promenade with pink and blue – the official colours of the anti-gay marriage movement.

Police said 150,000 people turned out to protest, a figure immediately contested by organisers of the demonstration who said one million opponents of the law had shown up.

By early evening, no incidents had been reported despite the presence of far-right activists, some of whom briefly unfurled a banner at the ruling Socialist party’s headquarters urging President Francois Hollande to resign.

But as the protesters dispersed, police said up to 500 people began attacking them by throwing metal barriers, smoke flares and beer bottles.

Police said they arrested 96 people and used tear gas to fight off the troublemakers.

Christians are harassed in more countries — 130 — than any other religion in the world

Kirsten Powers USA Today – April 2, 2013

Christians are harassed in more countries — 130 — than any other religion in the world.

  • Tragically, Christians have been forced to abandon homelands they have occupied for thousands of years.
  • Prosecution of Christians in the Middle East needs more attention.

“Christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world.” So asserted German Chancellor Angela Merkel late last year, causing a stir. Merkel echoed a concern expressed by then-French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who warned in a 2011 speech that Christians face a “particularly wicked program of cleansing in the Middle East, religious cleansing.”

Not ‘War on Christmas’

Now, this is not about clerks who say “Happy Holidays” or bans of nativity scenes in public schools. Merkel spoke of real persecution of hundreds of millions of Christians around the world. Indeed, a 2011 Pew Forum study found that Christians are harassed in 130 countries, more than any of the world’s other religions.

Resistance Movement Growing to Islamization of France

April 6, 2013 – By JanSuzanne Krasner

Europe as a continent made up of multicultural nations is at the precipice of obliteration. This may sound melodramatic, but it is exactly what the members of a new French political youth movement called “Generation Identitaire” fear and they are willing to stand up and unite across Europe to stop it.

France was introduced to this group on October 20th, 2012 when about 100+ members made their way to the roof of a mosque in Poitiers, France and hung a huge banner in view of the Minaret that clearly read: “Immigration, building of mosques REFERENDUM!” along with the number “732.”

The meaning was clear to the French. Poitiers was the place that on October 25, 732, a Muslim invasion was defeated by Charles Martel which stopped Arab expansion into Western Europe. This demonstration was a symbolic statement by ‘Generation Identitaire’ who are declaring a war on immigration and committing themselves to be the front lines in the peaceful protection of their national identity and their families.  Video of the Poitiers demonstration below:
Europe is becoming a place where the national identity of many nations is being challenged by the growing influence of Muslim immigration and political correctness. This is undoubtedly happening in France with a population of 6-11 million Muslims and it is leading the way to French extinction. (more…)

Hundreds of Thousands Oppose Same-Sex Marriage in France

By Anugrah Kumar , Christian Post Contributor – January 14, 2013

Police estimated about 340,000 people participated in the “demo for all” march to oppose a proposed legislation billed as “marriage for all.” It was one of the largest demonstrations in the French capital since an education protest in 1984, according to The Associated Press.

Organizers claimed more than 800,000 people turned out to oppose the proposal. Protesters started the march from three points in the city, walking up to four miles to converge at the grounds of the Eiffel Tower.

Protesters – Catholics, conservatives, Muslims and evangelicals – brought their children to the demonstration, where some placards read, “Born of a man and a woman.”

“This law is going to lead to a change of civilization that we don’t want,” Philippe Javaloyes, a protester, was quoted as saying. “We have nothing against different ways of living, but we think that a child must grow up with a mother and a father.”

Hollande’s Socialist Party is expected to introduce the bill on Tuesday, and voting will follow public debate at the end of this month.

Warning over France’s Islamic suburbs which are becoming ‘separate communities in a divided nation

By Mail Foreign Service 6th October 2011

Arab communities are increasingly rejecting French values and identity to immerse themselves in Muslim culture and lifestyle

France’s run-down city suburbs are becoming ‘separate Islamic societies’ cut off from the state, a report has warned.

Arab communities are increasingly rejecting French values and identity to immerse themselves in Muslim culture and lifestyle, it was found.

Muslim pupils often boycott school dinners if the food is not halal and most Arabs oppose marriages to white French citizens, the study by respected political scientist Gilles Kepel revealed.

As a result, France – whose five million Muslims make up Europe’s largest Islamic population – was turning into a ‘divided nation’, the study called Suburbs of the Republic found.

Luis Palau Leads Unprecedented Evangelistic Campaign in France

by Colin James : Jul 11, 2011 : Luis Palau Association

The gatherings brought together civic and church leaders as never before, breaking down barriers and establishing relationships that will last for years.

(Marseille, France)—In a country that has resisted open proclamation of the Gospel for hundreds of years, God provided a much needed breakthrough this past week in southern France, focusing attention on the city of Marseille and the greater area of Provence.

Invited by 1 Meme Coeur, an organization made up of church leaders from throughout the region, world evangelist Luis Palau led historic evangelistic campaigns in the cities of Istres, Aix-en-Provence, and Marignane. The campaign culminated in a three day “Gospel” festival on Marseille’s crowded Plage du Prado beach.

Riding on the tails of France’s official Day of Music (June 21), and appealing to France’s affinity for Gospel music, the festival in Marseille helped reach 16,000 people with the Gospel. The festival included a clear Gospel message from Palau, as well as special musical performances by guest artists from throughout France and the United Kingdom. Palau was also joined by the 73-member Salem Baptist Gospel Choir from Chicago, led by Rev. James Meeks.

Was Osama a true Muslim or a radical Islamic extremist? / By Pr Daniel

Osama Bin LadenPastor DanielDear family and friends in Christ,

There has been much news in the media all over the world in the last few days regarding the death of Osama bin Laden.

This man who was driven by a very evil agenda and who managed to terribly change the world in some 10 years through violence and fear, has successfully put Islam on the global scene.

So, was he a radical Islamic extremist or was he a true Muslim who followed the Quran?? Click the following link to read a document and make up your mind as to whether this man followed the Quran or not??

https://reformationharvestfire.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/we-must-care-for-australia.pdf

A true believer of any faith is a person who follows the fundamental doctrines of the faith, generally called a ‘fundamentalist’.

The question then needs to be asked, are there good Muslims? The answer is YES, of course.  However, they are not necessarily true Muslims according to Mohammed and the Quran.  Many Muslims have not read, nor follow the whole Quran, and prefer living a peaceful life.

France Bans the Burqa

Burka Clad Women in FranceThe heaviest penalties under the new legislation, though, are reserved for those who encourage a woman to conceal their faces. It is believed many of the estimated 2,000 Muslim women in France who cover their faces do so under pressure from Salafist fundamentalists, who are most often their husbands, fathers or brothers. A Moroccan woman, for example, who never wore a burqa in her native country, was refused French citizenship in 2008 after donning one in France at the behest of her fundamentalist husband.

Mainstream Muslim groups in France have supported the Sarkozy government in its quest to eliminate the burqa and niqab from public areas. They have declared concealing the face “was not a prescription of the Koran” and said they will engage in “theological discussions” with Muslim women who wear the veil. These organisations were opposed, however, to passing any law forbidding facial coverings.
