CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA (ANS) — Aside from the hosting of the famous FIFA soccer World Cup this June, South Africa is also making serious plans to host the world in the Global Day of Prayer (GDOP) as it celebrates 10 years of leading the world to pray.
It is slated to take place on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Newlands Rugby Stadium, Cape Town, South Africa – the venue where it all started!
Speaking on the forthcoming event, Mark Anderson, President of the Global Pastors Network (GPN) and Call2All, said that last year, the Global Day of Prayer movement which was founded by South African businessman, Graham Power, has successfully mobilized every nation on earth to gather in large crowds and small groups to pray simultaneously on the same day.
He stated: “There is no doubt that the rising surge of the Global Prayer Movement and the accelerated Global Missions has become the greatest strategic alliance of our time. With Call2all in partnership with the Global Day of Prayer, I am inviting you to join me at the Cape Town International Convention Center for Missions and Business Network pre-conference and Network sessions, from May 19-22.â€Â (more…)
