Massive pro-life banner greets Australian legislators for 70 days parliament in session

MELBOURNE, March 14, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A peaceful protest has begun at the entrance to the car-park of the parliament where three years ago Australia’s most radical abortion laws were introduced.

On each of the 70 sitting days of Victoria’s parliament this year, pro-life protesters will display a green six-foot-high banner marked with one white cross for every baby aborted since the first of January, 2012.

The unmissable banner, which due to local council regulations must be carried by volunteers at all times, will stretch along the green hedge/fence at the back of parliament house beside the car-park entrance.

“The politicians are going to have to drive past this every time they come to work for all of this year,” said David Forster, the protest organiser. “They’re going to see that banner get longer and longer and longer. Every month when they come in, there will be another 2,000 white crosses added on to it.” (more…)

Momentum is gathering for women’s-only swimming in Canberra, whether that be incorporated into the design of the planned Gungahlin Leisure Centre or made available at existing pools.

The government says it is confident of finding a solution. However, it won’t be building a women’s-only pool.

Women who feel they cannot be in swimmers in front of men for religious or cultural reasons are among those likely to use the facility but also older women, those who feel self-conscious about their bodies and women recovering from injury or illness such as breast cancer.

Royal Life Saving ACT, the YWCA of Canberra and the Canberra Islamic Centre are all supporting the push, which is being spearheaded by ACT Greens leader Meredith Hunter.

Ms Hunter said she was contacted by constituents who wanted to ensure women’s-only swimming was incorporated into the design of the new $28.7 million Gungahlin Leisure Centre, which is due to start construction in August. (more…)

Dear family & friends in Christ,

Over the past few years, I have been very concerned as to why more and more Aussie kids are dropping out of School and Universities ??

Please hear me out as this is a very real problem developing in our nation that needs to be addressed soon. I am sharing this with you because I love our nation Australia and want to see her rise up to fulfil God’s plans for this generation and generations to come.

I used to be part of a Christian school council for a few years. During this time I found out that immigrant families to Australia, particularly from third world countries, were more keen on encouraging their children to study hard and get good results, which in turn helped these students to secure good jobs when they graduated. On the other hand, children who were fourth or fifth generation Aussies were not as motivated to study.

I have been speaking about this important issue with many people and praying for the Lord’s best course of action.

Recently, a school principal stated, “Where I used to be the principal before, there were 95% Anglo-Saxon children in the school. The year 12 results were not as good as the school that I am at now. The school that I am at now has 70% non-Anglo-Saxon children and the results are very good.” (more…)

Glorious weekend of Salvations & Deliverance in QLD / Appointment of RUA Party State Executive in QLD / Sunday 11th March Webcast of Pr Daniel ministering at CTFM

Dear Family & Friends in Christ,

1) Praise the Lord for an absolutely awesome weekend of Kingdom action in QLD where many people from so many churches and denominations came together to hear the Word of God, with some people traveling up to 4 hours to join the Holy Spirit revival meetings!

Almost everyone present was touched mightily by the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit and the living Word of God!

The church in Kingaroy, led by Pr Lyle and his wife Anthea, had been on a 21 day fast leading up to the meetings. So glory to God, there was a lot of fuel ready for the match to be struck as it was a weekend filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire!

Many were set free from Freemasonry curses as the power of God swept through the place!

One lady who was demon possessed received deliverance in front of the whole congregation, vomited and coughed as the demons left her body. Others in the meeting were jumping for joy as the presence of God was so awesome. A young man who, was into drugs, and his friend gave their lives to Jesus. This was so fantastic, as that was his first time in church. He told Pr Daniel,  “I really did not want to come today as I am leaving to the Gold Coast, but I will put back my trip and come for the service tomorrow too.”

Pr Daniel prayed for another young lady who was mightily touched by God and she too gave her life to Jesus. This young lady seemed very downcast and sad, but after she gave her life to Jesus and was prayed for, she just lit up. The next day she said, “A heavy weight has lifted off my shoulders and I feel so good.”

Southern Baptist leader: If Obama mandate isn’t changed, Christians will go to jail

One of the most influential evangelical leaders in the United States says Christians should go to jail rather than comply with the Obama administration’s mandate to provide all contraception, including abortion-inducing drugs, in their health care plans.

Dr. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), told LifeSiteNews.com “we will not comply” with the Dept. of Health and Human Services’ mandate requiring religious institutions to cover abortifacient products such as Plan B, Ella, and the IUD.

“We want the law changed, or else we’re going to write our letters from the Nashville jail, just like Dr. King wrote his from the Birmingham jail,” Dr. Land said.

THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT FIT TO GOVERN- CALL AN ELECTION

Rise Up Australia Party President Daniel Nalliah today calls upon the Governor General to initiate a federal election because the Government is not fit to govern the country, regardless of who wins Monday’s leadership spill.  If Kevin Rudd wins the ballot, it does not automatically make him Prime Minister. The Governor General has reserve powers to approve the appointment of the Prime Minister, and she needs to be certain that whoever is chosen by the ALP as their leader also holds the support of the House.

Julia Gillard  says she will resign and throw open the position, but even if she wins a leadership ballot, it still leaves the ALP, already a minority government not able to govern in its own right, in total disarray and split down the middle. They cannot possibly work together with the level of hatred and character assassination being displayed in the public arena. How can the Governor General approve a Prime Minster heading a Party so completely dysfunctional and unable to govern? Robb Oakshott today said if there is a change in the ALP leadership, he will be calling the Coalition.

The Caucus is so divided that the Caucus Secretary, ALP MP Nick Champion, resigned today to send a message to his Parliamentary colleagues about his disapproval of the tactics which he says are “bringing the whole Party into disrepute”.

A brief look at the history shows that the hatred, lies and deception are systemic within the Labor Party and between Gillard and Rudd especially.  When he was still PM and Ms Gillard was his deputy, she talked Mr Rudd into back-flipping on the Emissions Trading Scheme, which proved to be his downfall. Then she promised No Carbon Tax, and she brazenly broke her promise, giving the people a tax on CO2 (the air we breathe out) which she now she claims it was a great reform! What spin from an accomplished liar.  A tax is not a reform. Big minerals rent tax, which threatens our mining industry, is another “great reform” forced on the people against their will which Gillard claims as evidence of her leadership skills.

 Rise Up Australia Party was registered with the Electoral Commission this week and is ready to take its place as the new face of common sense in Australian politics at the next Federal election.

 According to Party President Daniel Nalliah, its slogan of Keep Australia Australian sums up what Rise Up Australia is all about. “We want to restore to Australia the common sense values and traditions which have made this country one of the best and most stable democracies in the world” he said in Melbourne today.

 “For too long over recent years we have seen a slide into a politically correct  “nanny state” where minorities are dictating their fringe element views to the rest of mainstream society and demanding we all conform. For example, free speech is under threat in this country under the Racial and Religious Vilification laws which prevent open public discussion about Islamization in Western countries. These laws needs to be repealed,” said Mr Nalliah.

Mr Nalliah fought a five year court battle with the Islamic Council of Victoria who sued him for reading out of a Koran in public. He was totally vindicated, but this sort of thing should not be happening in our country where tolerance, a fair go and free speech have always been part of our traditional heritage.

Rise Up Australia Party recently commented on the story from a major Dutch newspaper where Jihad was declared on dogs, when a Muslim  politician tried to have dogs banned from the Hague on religious grounds. In case you think that couldn’t happen in Australia, the Queensland media  carried a story some time back about the Yellow Taxi Cab company in Brisbane having to sack Muslim taxi drivers who refused to carry blind people because they were accompanied by guide dogs. 700 Aussie Christians, including 35 Pastors, Unite as Body of Christ to Prayerfully Storm Heaven for Australia’s Transformation

Dear family and friends in Christ,

The Australia Day National Prayer Gathering at the Scots Church in Melbourne, organised by Catch The Fire Ministries and supported by many churches, and ministries, was a great success for the unity of the Body of Christ and the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

 Around 700 Aussie Christians, along with 35 pastors and many other Christian ministers, filled the church in the city of Melbourne. Many carrying their Australian flags were so excited to see so many people of God lift up their hands to worship Jesus as King of kings and LORD of lords! There were people from every single state from across Australia present at the united prayer meeting for our nation’s transformation.

The interdenominational multi-ethnic prayer service started with the the minister from the Scots Church welcoming the people, and a great time of worship led by the CTFM worship team. Then the Uniting Church Minister prayed for Government & Leaders, followed by the AOG Pastor who prayed for protection from bush fires and thanked God for the rain.

As passionate Aussie Christians kept pouring into the auditorium, the place was full of excitement and the mighty presence of God filled the house. More worship was lifted up to heaven as people started interceding and praying for Australia’s revival, awakening, reformation and transformation.

Then the Baptist Minister led prayer for the nation and for revival in Australia. We also had prayer for the business and marketplace led by Brother Peter. Then Pas Daniel spoke on forgiveness and read a message from Pas Mark Conner of City Life Church.  At this point people gathered together and spent time searching their hearts and repented before the Lord from any anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, offence, etc.
