Buddhist leader accepts Jesus, Demons flee, Holy Spirit fire falls

Diana (on the right) celebrating her 1st birthday after being raised from the deadPart of the group who went to isreal at the reunionDear family & friends in Christ,

1)We thank and praise Almighty God for another wonderful weekend of meetings in Hallam (Melbourne) where many were mightily touched by the power of the Holy Ghost. On Sunday at the CTFM base the presence of God was so powerful that the meetings somewhat turned into a Holy Ghost riot!

People were dancing, laughing, weeping, and shouting for joy as the presence of God fell so powerfully.  Many were healed, delivered and set free.

One young girl who came to the altar to worship the Lord, she was a born again Christian. As the presence of God soaked the place this girl started manifesting with demons. She was screaming and shouting as Pastor Daniel and some of the CTFM leaders laid hands on her.

Then some of the intercessors took this girl to the prayer room, and after about one hour she was set free from the evil spirits. The girl came up on stage at the end of the meeting and shared her testimony.

Witnessing History in the Making – 500 people respond to an altar call at an outreach conference in Tel Aviv, Israel

Israeli FlagVoice of Judah Ministries – Pastor Israel – 11th May 2011

Shalom Greetings!

Last week we organized an outreach conference with an international evangelist and a friend of Israel, David Hathaway, who has ministered worldwide for over 60 years. This year he celebrated his 50 anniversary since his first ever visit to Israel in 1961. It was a very joyous celebration with the theme: Israel – yesterday, today and forever. He has a big heart and a big passion for Israel and the people of Israel and it was reflected in his message.

Over 700 people attended the 2-day conference. Most of them NON-believers and many of the guests at the conference were an older generation, holocaust survivors and many other Israelis. For most of them it was the first time they had ever heard the gospel of a Jewish Messiah preached to them. Their response was overwhelming!

On the first night more than 300 people responded to the altar call, came forward to receive Yeshua as their Messiah! The second night 200 people also gave their lives to Yeshua. It has exceeded all our expectations! We have never seen such a large number of people in Israel responding to the message of Yeshua.

We saw what a difference our social work makes. The love, patience and help to people does wonders. We thank God that Voice of Judah is a ministry that continuously bears such fruit.

World Christian Doctors Will ‘Vote For Miracles’ during Unique Conference in Brisbane, Australia June 11-12

Dan Wooding (May 12, 2011)

They will be searching for evidence of Divine Healing

(Brisbane, Australia )—Christian doctors and medical professionals will be flooding into Brisbane, Australia, a city that earlier this year was itself devastated by floods, for a unique conference called “Spirituality and Medicine.”

The World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) has announced details of its 8th Annual International Conference to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 11-12, 2011. (WCDN is an interdenominational organization composed of Christian medical professionals from around the world who believe in divine healing.)

“WCDN wants to motivate Christian medical professionals to reflect the love of Jesus Christ and to be a witness for Him in their professional life,” said a spokesperson for the organization.

He went on to say, “Two thirds of medical schools in the US, including Harvard and Johns Hopkins, offer courses on spirituality and faith in their curriculums, largely because patients are demanding more spiritual care. According to a Newsweek poll, 84% of Americans said that praying for others can have a positive effect on their recovery.”

China’s House Churches Begin to Roar

Chinese believersby Rachel Sparkman : May 10, 2011 : China Aid

In an historic move, Chinese house church leaders petition legislature to guarantee freedom of religion.

EDITOR’S NOTE: For dozens of years the world has witnessed the miraculous growth of the underground and house church movement throughout China in the face of grave persecution. Now house church leaders have gained an even stronger boldness as they petition their communist government. For Christians; these are our brothers and sisters-in-the-Lord, let’s remember to be supporting them in prayer. Just maybe we’ll see Chinese governmental leaders’ hearts be softened, not by might, nor by power, but by God’s Spirit. –Aimee Herd, BCN.

(Beijing, China)—In a historic move, clergy from dozens of mainland Chinese house churches are petitioning China’s legislature to guarantee freedom of religion and to peacefully resolve the recent church-state conflict involving one of the largest house churches in the capital, ChinaAid learned on Sunday.

This is the first such move in 60 years of Communist rule of China and represents a further emboldening of the house church movement, which for decades was active only in the countryside, meeting in small groups in private homes and careful to maintain a low profile to avoid attracting government attention to the illegal gatherings.

PM Netanyahu Addresses Congress—It Was Amazing

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu25-05-2011 – Dr. Michael Evans – Jerusalem Prayer Team

The highlight of my trip to Washington to defend Israel as your Ambassador was this morning as I watched my friend of thirty years, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, address a special joint session of Congress. It was a powerful and amazing speech, and it effectively laid out the case for America to stand with Israel in opposition to the UN plan to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state. I urge you to take the time to watch the full speech linking below. Near the beginning of his remarks, the Prime Minister said:

Israel has no better friend than America. And America has no better friend than Israel. We stand together to defend democracy. We stand together to advance peace. We stand together to fight terrorism. Congratulations America, Congratulations, Mr. President. You got bin Laden. Good riddance!

In an unstable Middle East, Israel is the one anchor of stability. In a region of shifting alliances, Israel is America’s unwavering ally. Israel has always been pro-American. Israel will always be pro-American.

We must stand with Israel. It is the right thing to do politically, militarily, economically and most importantly—prophetically. We cannot allow the leaders of America to direct our course so that we turn our backs on the Chosen People now.

BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFUL WIFE AND MOTHER

Proverbs 31Sunday, May 8, 2011 – By David Sanford Special to ASSIST News Service

PORTLAND, OREGON (ANS) — Behind every successful man, the saying goes, there’s a good woman. And that’s often the case. But have you ever considered that behind almost every successful wife and mother, there’s a good man?

That is the message of Proverbs 31. Only the Lord Himself knows how many articles and sermons, books and seminars have extolled the virtues of the Wonder Woman described in this poetic passage. The only problem is that they have usually forgotten to mention the other main character—the Good Husband!

Was Proverbs 31 ever intended to be an idealistic standard for women to attain by themselves? Not at all. Instead, this passage of Scripture, like the rest of Proverbs, was written originally as a challenge to men.

It’s all too easy for guys to read Proverbs 31:10-31 rather flippantly — “Wow, if only I had a wife like this!” — without stopping to notice what these verses say about this woman’s rather remarkable husband.

Surprise, Surprise! The World Didn’t End Today After All

Harold Camping\'s false prediction of End of the WorldSaturday, May 21, 2011-  By Dan Wooding – Founder of ASSIST Ministries

What will Harold Camping’s excuse be this time?

OAKLAND, CA (ANS) — For a second time in his lifetime, and with no sign of Judgment Day arriving today (Saturday, May 21, 2011) as forecasted by 89-year-old broadcaster, Harold Camping, his followers are now faced with trying to make sense of his latest failed pronouncement.

The head of an Oakland-based network that broadcasts on over 66 U.S stations and through international affiliates now has some explaining to do to the supporters who helped him post at least 2,000 billboard across America and in many other countries warning of the Day of Judgment.

Gabrielle Saveri, in a story for Reuters, said: “Harold Camping, the former civil engineer who heads the Family Radio Network of Christian stations, had been unwavering in his message that believers would be swept to heaven on May 21.”

She went on to say that in New York, retired transportation agency worker Robert Fitzpatrick was inspired by Camping’s message to spend over $140,000 of his savings on subway posters and outdoor advertisements warning of the May 21 Judgment Day.

“As he stood in Times Square in New York surrounded by onlookers, Fitzpatrick, 60, carried a Bible and handed out leaflets as he waited for Judgment Day to begin,” she continued.

“By his own reading of Bible, which was slightly different than Camping’s, Fitzgerald expected the great worldwide event to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.”

She added that when the hour came and went, he said: “I do not understand why …,” as his speech broke off and he looked at his watch.

“I do not understand why nothing has happened.”

Atheist Who Went to Hell and Was Saved Gives Riveting Testimony

Former Atheist Matthew Botsford and his wifeby Teresa Neumann : May 9, 2011 : Josephine Vivaldo – The Christian Post

“Hell is a real place. Hell was never intended for us; God doesn’t want any one of us to go there. He wants all of us to come to Him through repentance. It’s a simple thing. We believe that Jesus is the son of God and we should have a relationship with Him. It’s important to spend time with Him and get to know His Word. It’s all based on relationship.”

Matthew Botsford—who, today has a ministry called “Seeds of Love”—experienced Hell first-hand during a 27-day coma after his business partner was killed and he was shot in the head.

In an interview by Josephine Vivaldo for The Christian Post, Botsford explains that he was an atheist at the time of the shooting.

Of his experience in Hell, he says: “I immediately was in my full bodily form. I looked like myself but I didn’t have any clothes on and I was hung like crucifixion style in a very deep abyss. All I could see beneath me was very red, it was very hot. I was chained on both my wrists and I had shackles on my ankles. I knew I was in some sort of cavern. It was pitch black. I knew I was going to be there forever. I knew there was nothing I can do to get myself out of it. I didn’t know the name of Jesus so I never prayed, you know ‘Jesus, please save me.'”

“There was this continual mocking,” he added, “this sense of hopelessness, and evil in all sides. There was nothing good there. It was totally void. Even in life, if we are having a bad day we kind of know that something good is around the corner. There was nothing good around the corner.”

Syrian Christians threatened: join anti-government uprising or leave

12th May 2011 – Barnabas is helping Christians affected by the unrest

As demonstrations against the Syrian government intensify, Christians are coming under increasing pressure to join the uprising – or leave.

Syrian churches have received threatening letters calling them to join demonstrations

In one Christian village outside the southern city of Deraa a home came under fire by a group of masked men on motorbikes, while Muslim residents in the village of Hala have issued an ultimatum to their Christian neighbours either to join the demonstrations against President Bashar al-Assad’s regime or to leave. Their demands are making life extremely difficult for the Christians, who have closed their shops and are considering what course of action to take. Churches have also received threatening letters.

Barnabas Fund is one of the very few Christian agencies working to assist the Christians in Syria, and has done so for many years. They are in particular need of humanitarian help now, with food prices rocketing as the country’s economy is affected by the unrest.

Palau First Foreign Evangelist to Preach Christ Openly in Vietnam since 1975

Palau Fest in Ho Chi Minh City by Aimee Herd : Apr 15, 2011 : MNN

Luis Palau, his son Andrew and their team were met at the airport by a cheering crowd of about 500 people carrying roses.

Luis Palau, his son Andrew and their ministry team have made history this month. They broke a dry spell of permission of foreign evangelists to preach the Gospel openly in Vietnam.

As the team arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on April 5th, they were welcomed by a crowd of about 500, cheering and carrying roses.

Palau was literally “walking by faith” for the festival they had put together to be held in the city, since officials still had not granted them a permit. Finally, only 3 hours before the event was scheduled to start, a permit was given—but for a different location. (more…)

Billy Graham Tells Universalist: Hell Is Real

Evangelist Billy GrahamBy Jennifer Riley | Christian Post Reporter – Apr. 06 2011

Billy Graham, retired evangelist and spiritual counselor to U.S. presidents, stated plainly to a questioner with a universalist worldview that hell is real.

A questioner identified only as P.McN had contacted Graham and asked: “Why would a loving God send anyone to hell? I can’t reconcile the idea of hell with Jesus’ teaching about love. I’m not sure I even believe in hell anyway. Maybe everyone will be saved, even if they weren’t expecting it.”

The respected evangelical leader pointed the person to Luke 12:5, where Jesus says, “I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.”

“It may surprise you to discover that no one taught about hell or warned us against it more than Jesus – and we should take his words very seriously,” responded Graham, 92, to the questioner on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s “Billy Graham’s My Answer” webpage on Tuesday. (more…)

Call for Millions of Muslims to invade Jerusalem, Israel on 15th May 2011

Pray for the Peace of JerusalemDear friends and family in Christ in Australia and around the World,

We’re forwarding the following email we received from Curt Landry of One New Man United
with a 2 minute Youtube video link regarding a Call for Millions of Muslims to invade Jerusalem, Israel on 15th May 2011.

Please pray as never before for Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), because if this truly happens, we will see a major war breakout in Israel very soon.

Dear Elijah List Readers:

In late March, 2011, a battle cry was released in the Middle East as the Palestinian Authority recreated a Third Intifada page, which had previously been banned by Facebook. This page was calling for the destruction of the State of Israel and encouraging the gathering of millions to invade Israel’s borders on May 15, 2011. Once the page was removed from Facebook, additional pages with the same call to action have been posted. Since their creation, these Facebook pages have gathered hundreds of thousands of “Likes,” with similar pages gathering over 3,000,000 votes of support.

Malaysian gov’t backtracks somewhat on restrictions on Bibles

An update on this story. Apparently the official word is that there will be “no further conditions” placed on the importation or local production of Bibles in Sabah and Sarawak, two provinces with major Christian populations. Outside of those two provinces, the language required on the covers of Bibles that said things to the effect of “Only for Christians” has been softened to “Christian Publication,” though the intent is still obvious.

Have we heard the last of this? Almost certainly not, for as long as this story has dragged on. This report does not mention the matter of the use of the word “Allah” for “God,” which has always been a prime sticking point. There will likely be fine print, loopholes with which to revisit the “Allah” issue, and selective implementation. And that doesn’t take into account the potential response of Malaysia’s Islamic supremacists (when they’re not busy blaming their wives for not having sex with them).

It remains to be seen whether the government will keep its word and stand up to pressure from Muslims whose paranoia — in their supposed show of strength — gives the appearance they are afraid their faith cannot sustain itself in the face of free access to the Bible. “Kuala Lumpur authorizes importation and printing of the Bible in any language,” from Asia News, April 9:

35,000 Bibles to Be Released by Malaysian Gov’t

By Wesley Ernst | Christian Post Correspondent

The Malaysian government has agreed to release all 35,000 Bibles it seized after Christian leaders demanded the books’ release.

In a statement made Tuesday, the Prime Minister’s department said it was releasing the Bibles as a commitment to resolving “any interfaith issues,” which has deeply divided Malaysia’s religious groups.

Since this past week, the national government was slammed by irate Christians for holding 5,000 Bibles in Port Klang since March 2009, and another 30,000 copies at the Port of Kuching in Sarawak state.

Although Bibles are not illegal in the Muslim-dominant nation, the 35,000 books were seized amidst an ongoing court battle for the use of “Allah” as a translation for the word “God.”
