Urgent – Message received regarding ‘Cyclone Yasi’ at CTFM Prayer Mtg

Christians united in prayerCyclone YasiDear family and friends in Christ in Australia and around the World,

This urgent  and very serious message came from the Lord at the prophetic intercessory prayer meeting today 2/2/11,  at Catch the Fire Ministries Apostolic Centre in Melbourne, (Hallam), Australia.

As around 50 intercessory prayer warriors met to prayerfully seek the Lord from 10am – 2pm at our ministry and church base regarding the crisis with Cyclone Yasi (expected to hit the North Eastern part of Queensland sometime soon), we were burdened with the ferocity and possible destruction of peoples lives, livelihoods, devastation of land, homes, and the intense repercussions this will have on our nation of Australia.

We worshipped the Lord in His holiness and then began to pray on our knees before the Lord around the map of Australia. Many prayed and began to beseech (cry out to) the Lord for this situation. As this happened, it became apparent that God was speaking and making His voice heard and Pastor Daniel began weeping and physically struggling as others prayed. Almost overcome, he shared the following with those God had gathered to pray, “God will not allow me to pray for the cyclone not to happen (for His protection) as He is making it clear to me that this is to happen… many will look to Him in their time of need and know Him. Hearts will become softened by the situation and many will cry out and know His salvation.”

Pr Daniel went on to state, “God just reminded me of the people of God how they refused to go to the promised land and were planning to stone Moses, Caleb & Joshua. They then wanted to elect a leader and go back to Egypt. How God wanted to lift His protection off them, so that they may be destroyed, but Moses got in the way and pleaded with God to protect them. God did protect them, but they never entered the promised land (Numbers 14 ).

Urgent Prayer Alert – Cyclone Yasi – QLD and Cyclone Bianca – WA

CycloneDear family and friends in Christ across Australia,

We first want to thank the Lord for answered prayer regarding the Murray river in Victoria not reaching its expected peak, as you would know that there were 3 rivers all coming together in one place and Swan Hill in Victoria was about to face major disaster. However, glory to our Heavenly Father as He once again answered the earnest prayer of His children!

I was speaking to a farmer from the area who brought it to my attention that the 3 rivers suddenly started to stagger their flow of water, therefore resulting in the expected water not coming together all at once. It was as though someone was holding up the water and sending it little by little. I was thinking of how the Lord God supernaturally held up the river Jordan for the Israelites to cross.

Praise be to our sovereign Creator God that Swan Hill did not go under water as predicted by the news media. The disaster was definitely averted through prayer.

Now the breaking news in Australia is that there are 2 Cyclones rapidly approaching our shores, Cyclone Bianca heading towards WA and Cyclone Yasi heading towards QLD.

Souls saved, demons flee as Holy Spirit Fire falls with Pr Donnie Swaggart

Holy Spirit Revival Meetings with Pastor Donnie Swaggart from USPastor Donnie Swaggart from US ministering at CTFM in MelbourneDear family & friends in Christ,

Man Without Limbs: Live Without Limits

Nick Vujicic - World Renown Inspirational Speaker and EvangelistBy Michelle A. Vu – Christian Post Reporter

Even with arms and legs, most people have not surfed in Waikiki Beach, conducted a 60-piece orchestra, gone to the slums of India and Egypt, or performed circus stunts for a Hollywood movie. But a man born without limbs did all that and more by the age of 27.

Nick Vujicic, known worldwide through his YouTube videos and DVDs, wants to challenge people to live without limits by looking at what he can do despite his disability. His new book, Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life, takes a personal look at his struggles growing up, including depression and suicidal thoughts, and how he overcame them.

“Too often we tell ourselves we aren’t smart enough or attractive enough or talented enough to pursue our dreams,” writes Vujicic, an inspirational speaker and evangelist. “What’s worse is that when you consider yourself unworthy, you are putting limits on how God can work through you.”

In Melbourne, around 750 Christians united as the Body of Christ at the Springvale Town Hall to corporately worship, pray and sing praises to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords on behalf of our nation of Australia. Around a dozen atheists gathered outside the venue to protest against the Australia Day Prayer Meeting. Before the meeting, Pr Daniel walked up to them, shook hands and told them, “It is so nice to see you. Thanks for coming. I thought I will come out and greet you. Hope you have a great day.” The atheists seemed absolutely shocked and said to him, “Wish you the same, nice to meet you too.”

On stage were Christian Ministers of the Gospel from many denominations, including Anglican, Baptist, Salvation Army, Uniting, AOG, CRC, as Mainline, Evangelical, Pentecostal and Charasmatic Leaders in the Body of Christ united for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Urgent Prayer for Swan Hill in Victoria – Murray River expected to peak / Australia Day United Prayer / Purchase of Land for CTFM

Pastor Daniel NalliahPastor Evangelist Donnie Swaggart from USADear family & friends in Christ in Australia and around the World,

1) All praise and thanksgiving to our forever faithful Heavenly Father, as we have seen the mighty hand of our Lord God at work every time His children earnestly prayed and asked Him to avert further disaster right throughout the flood crisis in Australia!

Starting with Chinchilla, Rockhampton, St George, Toowoomba & Brisbane which are all in Queensland, then Horsham and the surrounding towns in Victoria, all were miraculously saved from major disaster when Bible-believing God-fearing Christians cried out to the Lord of the heavens and the earth!

Right now the urgent media news in Victoria is that the Murray River is about to break its banks and is expected to reach its peak level in the next 24 hours. This would result in Swan Hill and many surrounding towns going under water.

Once again would you please prayerfully petition Heaven’s throne room and ask the Lord to stop the river from reaching its peak as predicted. For those of us who have not been affected by the floods, I don’t think that we can even imagine what the people in these towns are going through. So please take some time and cry out to the Lord for mercy. Also pray that many will turn to Jesus through this crisis.

Tragedy, Judgment, Grace

Bill Muehlenberg of CultureWatchCultureWatch – 11.01.11 – Bill Muehlenberg’s commentary on issues of the day…

Whenever a major disaster or national tragedy breaks forth, a heated debate tends to arise within Christian circles. Opinions tend to be polarised, with two sets of extremes on offer. On the one hand are those who claim this is all the judgment of God, and people need to repent. On the other hand are those who argue that God would never do such things, and it is ridiculous to drag God into any of this.

From a biblical point of view, I tend to find both perspectives unhelpful. The truth is, we often simply do not know – and are not told – why a particular event happens. Are the floods in Queensland the direct and specific work of God, whether in judgment or for some other reason?

Who knows? I can’t say that it is or it is not. We simply cannot know for certain. So we need to be careful about rushing to judgment here. The truth is, when God acted in the Old Testament, he generally revealed his purposes in his actions. He would communicate his purposes to man, often through his prophets. Thus divine actions were explained by divine speech.

We now refer to this as speech acts. God acts, but he utters his intentions along with it. There are countless examples of this found in the Old Testament. For example, Yahweh says to Jeremiah, “When you tell these people all this and they ask you, ‘Why has the LORD decreed such a great disaster against us? What wrong have we done? What sin have we committed against the LORD our God?’ then say to them, ‘It is because your ancestors forsook me,’ declares the LORD, ‘and followed other gods and served and worshiped them. They forsook me and did not keep my law’” (Jer. 16:10-11).

Prayers answered – Brisbane river did not reach its expected peak

Crowd at parliament stepsDear family & friends in Christ across Australia and around the World,

We thank our faithful Heavenly Father for the tremendous answer to yesterday’s prayers as the Brisbane river did not reach its expected peak. Thank you so much for praying.

When around 100 Bible-believing God-fearing Christians gathered at the Victorian Parliament steps yesterday 12th January a few people asked Pr Daniel as to why he gave such short notice regarding the prayer meeting. He responded, “It was because the  need was immediate and he had the sudden prompting of the Holy Spirit to stand in the gap for the Queensland and our nation of Australia.  It was not so much about how many people came for the meeting as it was about Bible-believing God-fearing Christians around the nation uniting in prayer and standing together in the gap for our nation.”

We thank God that last night Channel 9 and Channel 7 News covered part of the prayer meeting on the steps of the Victorian Parliament, taking the need for prayer to homes all across Australia.

Prayer Rally on Victorian Parliament Steps a Great Success

100 Christians gather to pray at Victorian ParliamentChristians on their knees in repentance to the LordDear family & friends in Christ in Australia and around the World,

Firstly, We want to praise and thank our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for stopping the rain just in time in downtown Melbourne, so that we could have the prayer meeting on the steps of Parliament.

For those of you living out of Melbourne, there was heavy rain pouring down all night and early morning, but after we prayerfully asked our faithful Heavenly Father to stop the rain so that we could have the prayer meeting, He answered our prayers. Glory to God.

Around 100 Bible-believing God-fearing Christians from many churches, denominations & cultures dared the rain and gathered today Wednesday 12th January 2011 at midday at the Victorian Parliament steps in Melbourne to prayerfully repent and stand in the gap for our nation of Australia, particularly for the flood crisis in QLD and the fires in WA.

We thank and praise our prayer answering God that thousands more gathered around the country at the same time to bring our nation of Australia before the Lord’s heavenly throne of grace and mercy to seek Him to heal our land as in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.

It was a very rare sight to witness around 100 Christians fall on their knees in repentance and prayer, kneeling right on the steps of the Victorian Parliament in full view of all the public in the city of Melbourne.

Mocking of Jesus on channel 10/Answers to prayer in Rockhampton QLD

Kitty FlanaganDear family & friends in Christ,

1 )I received this info yesterday and thought it was important that we act on it ASAP.

The link below is a portion of a program aired on Channel Ten on 4th Jan. While God has a sense of humour, this goes way beyond what is acceptable.

If this was about the Muslim faith and Allah there would be demonstrations and riots on our streets. How dare they speak about of Saviour like this!   I have heard that Channel 10 has been swamped with complaints.  I would encourage you to do the same and ask for a public apology.

To register your complaint call channel ten Melbourne, details as follows:

U.S. grants asylum to born-again ‘Son of Hamas’

MosabPosted: June 30, 2010 By Art Moore © 2010 WorldNetDaily

Homeland Security wanted to deport ex-Muslim who spied for Israel – Mosab Hassan Yousef

An immigration judge in San Diego ruled today the son of a Hamas founder who converted to Christianity and spied for Israel will be granted political asylum after the Department of Homeland Security dropped its objections.

As WND reported, Mosab Hassan Yousef had been denied his February 2009 request for asylum because the department interpreted his work as a counterterror agent with Israel’s Shin Bet security agency as engagement in terrorist activity, making him a threat to U.S. security.

Judge Rico Bartolomei ruled Yousef will be granted political asylum Aug. 26 after he is fingerprinted and passes a routine background check. Yousef says he wants to become a U.S. citizen.

WE NEED Another JESUS MOVEMENT

Jesus MovementBy J. Lee Grady

Share In today’s hip, sophisticated churches, we often forget to preach about Jesus. Let’s get back to basics.

I became a serious Christian at the tail end of the Jesus movement. I was too young to remember the hippie beads, tie-dyed shirts and “Jesus Is Groovy” slogans, but the songs were still popular when I was in college (from musicians such as Andrae Crouch, Love Song and Barry McGuire), as were the movies (especially The
Cross and the Switchblade.)

The Jesus movement was like a spiritual tsunami that washed over hundreds of thousands of young people in the late 1960s and early ’70s and brought them into a personal relationship with Christ.  Some of these kids had been drug addicts and social misfits; most were just average Joes and Janes who discovered that Jesus is a lot more exciting than traditional churches had led them to believe…

Lately I find myself waxing nostalgic for those days-not because I want to return to the awkward fashions and hairstyles of 1972, but because I miss the spiritual simplicity of that era. The Jesus
movement was primarily focused on-surprise!-Jesus. Theology was not complicated, pastors weren’t trying to be hip or sophisticated or tech-savvy; and we hadn’t yet created a Christian subculture with its own celebrities and political power bases.
