Dear family and friends in Christ across Australia,
We first want to thank the Lord for answered prayer regarding the Murray river in Victoria not reaching its expected peak, as you would know that there were 3 rivers all coming together in one place and Swan Hill in Victoria was about to face major disaster. However, glory to our Heavenly Father as He once again answered the earnest prayer of His children!
I was speaking to a farmer from the area who brought it to my attention that the 3 rivers suddenly started to stagger their flow of water, therefore resulting in the expected water not coming together all at once. It was as though someone was holding up the water and sending it little by little. I was thinking of how the Lord God supernaturally held up the river Jordan for the Israelites to cross.
Praise be to our sovereign Creator God that Swan Hill did not go under water as predicted by the news media. The disaster was definitely averted through prayer.
Now the breaking news in Australia is that there are 2 Cyclones rapidly approaching our shores, Cyclone Bianca heading towards WA and Cyclone Yasi heading towards QLD.
Can we once again stand in the gap in corporate national intercessory prayer and ask our Father in heaven to spare our nation and further extend His hand of protection over Australia at this critical time
I believe God is permitting this shaking to take place in our nation, and the devil is doing his dirty work, so that we Aussies will come back to the Lord Jesus Christ and seek His face day and night in prayer and fasting. Definitely the shaking of our nation is for good. Even though it might seem like satan is having a field day, we need to always remember that it is only through great testing that great testimonies are birthed for the increase of the Kingdom and glory of God!
Please take some time to pray against both Cyclones, that they will not cause any disaster on our shores, but will disappear into the sea, and that people will turn back to Jesus and seek His face and His hand of protection. Disasters always make people think of God and turn back to Him.

My request is for the intervention of Tropical Cyclone Yasi. I have been speaking to my son who lives in Townsville and the enormity of the cyclone is astounding. The radius of damage it will do is over 400 ks. Evacuations have started in Townsville.
I have been continuously praying but feel this is such a big issue that more intercessors are needed.
The cyclone is expected to hit Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks for all your emails. I am just sending this on to see if anything here resonates with you regarding the Cyclone in Qld.
Whilst praying earlier this evening and again whilst in the prayer chapel – when praying against the enemy particularly in regards to the cyclone – the Qantas “I still call Australia Home” ad was brought to my remembrance (twice). I could see the Children’s choir strategically standing on the shores and on cliffs and various positions around the world, facing certain directions and singing.
Immediately I thought it would be not only strategic, but awesome if the church up and down the Australian Eastern Coastlands could head out to the coast or at best gather and praise and worship God, purposely facing in an easterly direction toward the shorelines of this mighty Land of the HOly Spirit. Of course, this could be done throughout all of Australia no matter if you were located on the coast or not. What a mighty force that would declare in the heavenlies and on the earth and to our circumstances – no levee system could top that!. I thought it would be such an act of faith to set up a barrier of praise along the shorelines but how could this be coordinated. I know we have coordinated after an event has occurred, but don’t know if anything has ever been coordinated prior to one. This would take a huge leap of faith to speak to the mountain of destuctive winds and rain and tell it to cease, move, or die / fizzle out and for peace and calm to rule and reign – especially as Yasi keeps approaching the shore.
Since the storm has been called a monster or a Goliath, of course I immediately thought of David and his battles and how many times the first line on the offence were the worshippers and musicians – and that was all it took because the battle was the Lords. Could this be an opportunity for the church to unite and take a stand and dare to believe that God can still move mountains and calm storms and actually put yourself out there on the front line for the world to see the hand of God move – ultimately giving Him glory as He defies all scientific and meteorological models and forecasts. Is our God able?
Anyway, I believe that was all I had regarding that point. I’ve been singing the new Jesus Culture song “Breath of God” – for the mighty breath of God to blow and move in this place – in power and grace (a paraphrase of the words to the chorus).
A second point I had involves another impression to look up the meaning of Yasi – the name given to this particular cyclone – now bear with me, as I can sometimes go off on a tangent. So I went on an intelligence gathering exercise this time on google. I know the meaning of Katrina – the hurricane that hit New Orleans – was pure / purify – as it came out later on. SO I googled Yasi, but came up short. Now of course google found me a name instead that was similar to Yasi and asked me “did you mean Yashi”. Yashi as I found out is a Japanese word that means successful; a girl that always succeeds. Now I thought how does this possibly relate to anything and was about to discontinue this line of thought, but my mind immediately went to the addition of “H” to the name now before me. Now an “H” in Hebrew represents the Spirit of God, the breath of God. (eg Abram changed to Abraham; and Sarai changed to Sarah – the addition of the H was God breathed and GOd ordained). I’m sure others have more knowledge on this than me. THE POINT of all this is that when we breathe or speak the breath of life, and add the Word and breath of God as led by the Holy Spirit to situations through prayers, declarations, worship etc we can have much success. By exalting GOd in the direction of Cyclone Yasi, we release GOd’s hand to do the impossible. COuld the cyclone implode or dissapate? Could the eye wall break down and become disorganised and break up the whole system? Could the waters be suddenly cooled so the cyclone can only fizzle out? None of this would be scientifically founded or possible, but I am not limited by science. All I know is that we serve a mighty God and when you dare to add God to the equation, you open yourself up to the realm where “all things are possible” including success and victory over darkness and all evil. Without the “H”, Yasi cannot succeed in that in which she is setting herself out to accomplish. (Without the breath of God, Yasi could be the uncircumsized Philistine in this scenario – a giant of an enemy to all those- except those who dare to believe their God). Since this second thought ties in with my first impression of singing, breathing life and speaking to circumstances and for mountains to move, I have left it in.
Please discern this for yourself as led by the Holy Spirit.

You might be interested in this latest cyclone tracking map. We live at Ingham just north of Townsville (see map). If it keeps on this track, it should cross the Queensland coast just north of Cairns and then take a path towards the Gulf of Carpentaria. I have been through about 80 to 100 of these things in my lifetime, they are like the devil, you can’t trust them. They are likely to change direction at the drop of a hat. Apart from the destructive winds, this sort of cyclone can bring a lot of rain to places inland. In one downpour some years ago, we had 16 inches of rain in one night here at our place. Fortunately it all runs away quickly into the sea.
I don’t think it will affect us so much, but the people north of us do need your prayer support. As God’s elect, we don’t accept these things without standing against them and dealing with them. We have a covenant Father who cares very well for His children, the prevailing Word of God that is greater than any cyclone, the Name of Jesus that will make all foul demons cringe and take off, and the Holy Angels of Hebrews 1:14 to minister to our needs. We have all the authority and ability in God to deal with these situations. Join with us in taking authority over this cyclone, that it will not cause people to turn away from God. Rather, let’s pray that the people will turn to Him for help and salvation. God is more than able to use these circumstances for His glory. Shalom and Blessings Abundant, Tom

As children of God we must pray & repent, I believe that this is God’s judgement on Australia & the voice of God speaking specifically to the church – the true body of Christ to repent. Christ is coming for His bride but she’s not ready!
Corrupt ungodly public servants, media, and politicians are the cause of the drought, the floods, the cyclones, the famine; and now too the sore throats and bronchitis. They attract and feed the devil like foul things attract flies.
We through GOD prophetically forewarned.
And so thinking strategicaly they were misguided by the devil and chose the name “Anthony” for it means ( Latin): “praiseworthy”; (Greek): “flourishing”. And then seeing the threat of their own disaster that would confirm GOD’S Judgement that Premier Bligh has to step down; they chose “Yasi” in the hope it would be “Lordly”; “Prophetic” (their way); and “Calm”.

Many are there who call themselves christians-my remaining small family and myself love God, and Lord Jesus Christ-
over the last 16 years we went through hardships beyond the bearable. We called for help from every Australian church, and
received none but platitudes-even one who said we were too poor for them-“so leave”
I was attacked, taunted when I went to ask a packed church for prayers for a sick son, and when I was sent with a message from the Lord,to another church I was threatened with police.But the Lord prevailed, and I delivered that message-without the guests being brought.
We walked humbly amongst you, asking for so little, prepared to give so much.You treated us as vermin.
We were refused and rejected, and went without so much others take for granted.One visiting american church physically hurt me and my two innocent children,and of the many hundreds of witnesses, a mere few, offered care.
I slept on a thin mattress on a concrete floor, because your slanders endured before the truth-
and yet, we are faithful as we can be to God’s will.
It is written, “there is a way that seems right to a man” well, hear this,now-the absolute faithful would not dare ask God to turn back a cyclone-that is for God to decide-
More recently-a young grandson trekked 10 kms home-to be safe-wicked women devised a retaliation against us for complaining about the, refuge women who hate men and babies-we were denied all legal help due misrepresentations, and the court lasted three years-
In this time, we spent four months in almost hunger, and had to pay the rent-one voucher for 40 dollars-we had to survive on near to nothing-I was unable to access rights for the child-and told the court I suspected slanders.Sure enough,there was eventually produced, documents where a mixed group to do with docs. had colluded to prevent his education, medical and dental-
And the truth was finally known-In this time we suffered, defamations, hardships, taunting by solicitors, and a horde of misled women,who aren’t;contriving every trick known to them to persecute and malign.
We endured.
And we asked God’s help-but not to remove our trials,but to be with us, as we had no-one-………………………………..
HEARTLESS AS IT SEEMS, i WOULD NOT STOP YOUR PRAYERS AGAINST THIS STORM- If God wills it, we should say, thy will be done-
We are told everything we need to know, in scriptures, but we want to worship other humans, and run about like frightened mice.
We were endangered many times- and if you know the slur of slander and the dangers, we are rejected by many, and prevented from giving as we were wont to do.
Yet, the churches too, complied with the ungodly, to torment us, and practice cruelty, and usual human injustices-
We are clearly shown, to accept God’s will-not ask for self-satisfactions one may take pride in afterwards-
Wake up to yourselves-God is mighty and God decides-stop dictating to your maker-how do you know why there is yasi? the anagram of which is “I say”-bring up your minds from the petty-
I will not pray against this storm- because God knows each and every hair on each of our heads-and we spend too much time using these heads to make ourselves bigger and better-
this is a lesson-we are as a grain of sand-humility-when the churches are crumbled, where will you go?
when your people are destroyed, who will you blame-when you ask amiss, who teaches you what is right to ask????

I lived through the flooding in Southeast Queensland in 1974.One of the interesting things that came out of that and I believe other disasters was a movement of God.Sometimes the peoples faith needs to be shaken,even for christians,and a call to God from the people brings about rival.

We all continue to hope and pray that this cyclone of such a large magnitude will be averted.
As God created the universe, he can easily avert a natural disaster on this tiny but beautiful marble we call earth.
However I don’t believe the recent catastrophes in Queensland nescessarily arose from a lack of faith of the people.

Look at Job in the Old Testament, he never did anything to displease God, yet his property, servants and family were decimated.
Despite all his loses, he held firm to his faith, and God granted him compensation twice that he had initially!
Our lives are short and fragile; no matter how bad things get, always remember that nothing compares with an eternity in God’s fulfilling presence.
I am convinced of one thing in all the tragedy that Queensland has suffered in the last couple of months and not only Queensland and that thing is that God is trying to get through to us. The giants coming against us must be met with the power of God through the actions of His Bride and of His Body here in Australia. I have been praying so differently since all these disasters. I have asked God for Mercy yes, but I have also realised that if we the Church do not rise up in the Authority that Christ has given us our nation will suffer more misery than need be. I have been commanding those storms to slow and dissipate, commanding the waters not to reach the predicted levels that have been continually prophesied by media and experts. I fully believe that much of what has happened has been lessened by the prayers of the faithful.
The other thing that has come from all this is the activation of the church as emergency evacuation centres (that alone says something prophetically – sudden departures from the world). I am seeing the heart of Australians, christian or not being challenged to get up and do something and the realisation of our younger generation that life is not all about how they look but how they do life, bring life, and participate in unity for the good of our nation, standing beside people no matter what they believe and building relationship with them.
Prophetically this thing touched down on Mission beach. if we look at what God is highlighting in the natural then this almost catastrophic event has brought a focus on mission, its brought a focus on fruit (banana and sugar crops), its brought a focus on the level of water around us, also the structures we live, work and conduct business in and the rebuilding necessary as everthing old and fragile has been flattened as it could not withstand the force of the wind coming against it. Our structure as the church in Australia must be like a cyclone rated category 5 and higher, stronger in the Lord to sustain and support the people of this nation now and in the coming days. Babies were born in the midst of the tempest, hallelujah may many spiritual babies be born out of the times we are in.
I dont know about others but I have not been able to stop dreaming. all my dreams are about water, the sea, flooding, waves, ships, as well as governments and huge monsters even; but I know that God is telling us He does not only want revival in our land but He wants to build, increase, stabilize and turn our focus outwards to our communities more than ever. He is relocating, rebuilding, restoring, reviving, regenerating and waking up His sleeping giant with an urgency like never before. People of God our life here is not our own, we belong to Him. Its not about us, its about Him in us and how He is revealed through our lives.
Judgement is God’s business not ours. We are new testament prophetic people. Lets look at what He wants us to know in all this as we are all aware of the sins of the world and the great need for everyone to repent. But Jesus came to save the world and he actively did that and left us to expand His Kingdom til He returns and He did warn us of disasters. These are exciting times, difficult times, God ordained times. God is literally moving over our whole nation. He is moving heaven and earth to achieve His will and purpose. He wants our nation to be a missions nation and if it takes a loud clarion call (roaring in the heavens) then He will do it. Praise Him our prayers were answered with only one death that happened through lack of wisdom, no major injuries, thank you Lord God.
He has taken ceilings and roofs off, knocked out walls and shown His people they have gifts and talents and resources that are needed. This is a sudden surge and display of His power and many have had to learn to build an ark and build it quickly. But the church in australia will be a church without walls with the fire of His Word all around us and the ark we live in is His Presence. This is what we take into the world everyday, not His judgement. As He breaks open our nation, as He pushes us all out of our comfort zones, I praise Him for this activation and welcome His loud voice in our lives, wake up bride and make yourself ready, prepare the way of the Lord. Its now past midnight, this storm hit at midnight and its a new day.
By the way I looked up yasi and found out that its a fijian name but more likely an indian name meaning sandalwood used because of the orgin of the cyclone activity. Sandalwood is used for a huge number of things, as incense it is used in idolatrous worship, for burials, for heightening spiritual awareness and is used by many religions. But its Hebrew meaning is “God is my judge” and is likened to Daniel the prophet’s name as a variation. But God saved Daniel in deathly situations and used Him mightily. Interesting.
