KINGDOM LEADERSHIP vs. CHURCH LEADERSHIP

Joseph Mattera

There is presently a revolution taking place among those on the leading edge of change in the evangelical church. The result is a transition from a church mindset to a kingdom mindset in which the walls of church buildings are no longer able to contain the raw creative energy of Christ-followers who are committed to preaching and applying the Gospel of the Kingdom to all the world, including its systems and structures.

As political solutions and big government attempts to heal our land fail miserably, more people will look to faith-based partnerships and churches to find solutions. Hence the irrelevancy of old church patterns and traditions will become more noticeable in the decades to come.

Consequently, it behooves us to continue to study the contrasts between leading-edge kingdom practices and old, irrelevant religious church patterns that have failed to effectively evangelize and transform communities with the gospel.

The following is a contrast between leaders with a kingdom mindset and those with a church mindset.

I. Kingdom leaders interpret Matthew 28:19-20 as referring to discipling all nations. Church leaders believe it only refers to all individual ethnic peoples.

The body of Christ is now re-thinking the Great Commission scriptures of Mark 16:15 and Matthew 28:19-20. Instead of viewing them as commands to merely evangelize individual souls, now many are viewing the command in Mark 16 to ‘go into all the world and preach’ as a command to apply the gospel to both individual sinners and world systems. Matthew 28:19-20 is now regarded as the New Testament equivalent to the Cultural Mandate found in Genesis 1:28.

Much of the Church needs Resurrection / Will the Church betray Oz as it did in Germany? by Pastor Daniel Nalliah

Dear friends & family in Christ,

Following is an Easter message and challenge for the Church to wake up and take a reality check!!

When Adolf Hitler rose to power, he spoke out through his book Mein Kampf and his many speeches as to what he was planning to do. What did the Church do to stop him?? Unfortunately, the Church was MUTE, either because of political correctness, apathy or fear. The Church pulpits were very much silent on this issue.

I am sure many of you know of Chuck Missler, who in his teachings, states that the rise of Hitler was contributed by the silence of the Church pulpits.

The end result was much destruction with more than 10 million people slaughtered, including 6 million Jewish men, women and children. Today much of the Church is doing the very same thing all over again. Secular humanism, through its vicious attack on absolute moral values, has successfully forced much of the Church into MUTE mode.  They take the easy way out by saying, “We will love and pray”. Sounds familiar doesn’t it?? In Germany and Europe in WWII the results were much death and destruction.

Right throughout Europe, USA, Canada & Australia, many of the Church pulpits have gone on MUTE. Once where there was strong Judeo-Christian values, today as a result, there is a massive vacuum for absolute values. Well guess who is filling it up?? Islam. A faith of deception, death & destruction. No question, there are millions of very good Muslim people, who need to be loved and cared for, but the true nature of Islam is on an onward march into the West.

The questions needs to be asked, Can the Church be resurrected?? Even as Jesus rose from the dead, bringing hope and joy to all mankind, the answer is YES. The Church can be resurrected once again, but it will take some bold Christians to rise up and take their stand against all odds. I admire the Muslims for their fearless passion for their religion.

When Jesus died on the cross the Church was on MUTE,  but when He rose again, the Church and all mankind was ushered into great victory and hope. This Easter I pray that the Church will be resurrected out of its present state.

1) We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be live webcasting our very special Good Friday service at 10am on 29th March & Easter Resurrection Sunday 9:30am service on 31st March. (Australian Eastern Standard Time -AEST).

Pr Daniel will be ministering God’s prophetic Word and praying for people at all of these special services and also our Easter Resurrection Sunday 6:30pm service at CTFM at 23 Melverton Dr Hallam, as we celebrate the sacrificial death and victorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!

 2) Following is a wonderful testimony of God’s love, faithfulness and goodness that we recently received from a CTFM supporter.

“In March 2012 (at Jackie’s 40th Birthday party), my husband, Niro & I shared with you our desire to fall pregnant and have a healthy baby. We told you that for as long as I (Gail) could remember my monthly cycles were very irregular and therefore, I had to take the pill to regulate them – which I did for over 5 years. Although, I had numerous scans / tests to find out the reason why my periods were so irregular and which even stopped for more than a year, specialists doctors didn’t have an answer. Doctors had informed me that I may only be able to fall pregnant by means of I.V.F.

Passover celebration report at CTFM

On Monday March 25th almost 100 people enjoyed a wonderful evening of singing, dancing, teaching and feasting as they celebrated Passover at Catch the Fire.  One person commented that this was one of the best days of her life and another said that he had no idea how relevant an Old Testament story was for us as Christians today.  The focus for this year was a visually illustrated in-depth teaching which tied the 4 cups of Passover (Ex 6:6-7 – representing sanctification, deliverance, redemption, praise) with the 4 Biblical covenants  – (blood, salt, sandal, and marriage covenants).  Each covenant takes us into a more intimate relationship with our Lord – from serving our Master, to friendship, then inheritance as sons and daughters and ultimately marriage as the Bride of Christ with Jesus, our Bridegroom.  The explanation of the biblical betrothal and marriage customs  shed much light on Jesus’ end-time teachings and the book of Revelation.  Many were brought to tears as they recognised the depth of our Saviour’s love for us.

The culmination of the night was when a couple from CTFM who will be officially married in less than a fortnight, played the part of the bride and groom, dressed in white and stood under the chuppah (marriage canopy) under the blood covering and the prayer shawl (tallit).  The bride was carried in seated on a handcrafted sedan chair like Solomon built in Song of Solomon 3:9-10, which reminds us of the ark of God that was carried through the desert on the shoulders of the priests.

Great meetings in QLD / RUAP Melbourne Western Suburbs

Dear family & friends in Christ,

1) We thank and praise God for His mighty hand at work in our nation of Australia.

Last Friday, RUAP had a campaign meeting in the Westerns Suburbs of Melbourne. It was so encouraging to see around 60-70 people turn up for the meeting at 10.30 in the morning on a working day.

We were so pleased to see the encouraging response and support from many people. The local media too was present. We’ll email the article as soon as it is available.

You may click the following link to read another newspaper article about RUAP with a great photo.

2) Directly after the RUAP Western Suburbs of Melbourne meeting, Pr Daniel took a flight to QLD and spoke at several meetings on the weekend, including a Pastor’s and Leader’s breakfast in Toowoomba. All gathered were greatly challenged. Now they have asked Pr Daniel to come back in May, so that many more could hear the vision of taking Australia for Jesus by 2020.

He then spoke at 3 services at a Cook Island Church in Brisbane. The presence of the Holy Spirit just absolutely swept through the place. At one service almost all who came out to the altar, who did not pray in tongues, were baptised in the Holy Spirit and prayed in tongues for the very first time.

Rick Warren Calls ‘The Bible’ Series the Best He’s Ever Seen

By Stoyan Zaimov , Christian Post Reporter – March 1, 2013

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in California commented on the much-anticipated “The Bible” TV series, which premiers on the History Channel on Sunday, saying it is by far the best Bible movie he has ever seen.

“I have seen probably every film made on the Bible in the last 50 years. This is by far the best one,” Warren said, giving top marks to the 10-hour series, which will air each Sunday until Easter, March 30.

The best-selling author has been eagerly promoting the upcoming project, created by TV producers Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey. On Saturday, the California pastor will air a 90-minute simulcast featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the production of “The Bible.”

“One way to build a bridge between God’s Word and the issues of our day is to tie a sermon series into some cultural event, something that has already caught the attention of many people,” Warren stated.

“For instance, when we enter the current economic crisis, I preached a series on God’s principles for money management. It taught people that the Bible offers wise and practical advice on how to handle your finances.”

The project, which was filmed in Morocco, covers hundreds of years of history, beginning with the story of Isaac’s sacrifice in the Old Testament, and ending with the crucifixion of Christ. Other major events that will be covered in the show include Samson destroying the pagan Philistine temple and David’s fight with the giant Goliath.

Islamic Peace Conference in Melbourne a real failure

From Bernie – 21st March 2013

Six surprises from the Islamic ‘Peace Conference’

Surprise no 1: Free tickets were not honoured: We arrived at the Conference on the first morning (Friday) to be told that our free tickets would not be accepted. Thousands of free tickets were printed to be given to non-Muslims to attract them to the conference so they would hear the message of Islam and become Muslims – the conference was really all about da’wah or propagation of Islam. Conference reception staff told us that the Victoria Police had advised that everyone must pay the $50 entry fee. We refused, saying that we had not come prepared to pay $50, since we had free tickets. We said that it was false advertising to issue free tickets and then not to honour them. Eventually a young Muslim reception girl had pity on us and spoke to her supervisors on our behalf and we were let in free.

Surprise no 2: Muslim numbers were low: The organisers had hoped for 20,000 attendees, including 4,000 non-Muslims. However they did not achieve anything like this. The biggest day was Friday, when it was planned that 5,000 Muslims would pray behind the Imam of Mecca who was coming from Saudi Arabia. However news of his coming brought condemnation in the Age, Herald Sun, Australian newspapers and Jewish organisations because he had called for the extermination of the Jews, referring to them as ‘monkeys’, ‘rats’ and ‘the scum of the earth’. Although he never applied for an Australian visa (probably due to this negative publicity), it was not until the night before that the conference organiser announced on their website that he was not coming. Consequently, only 1800 people turned up for the prayers. The other main speaker, a sheik from Kuwait, arrived but fell sick and was not able to attend the conference. Muslims were disgruntled at the high price of the conference, expensive food and carnival rides, and the cancellation of some meetings. Eventually cold driving rain sent people home and kept them away the next day. Meetings set up to hold thousands were attended by a couple of hundred people.  If the conference was relying on gate takings for income, it will be in significant financial trouble.

Surprise no 3: Opportunities for Christian witness were high. Over the weekend, a team of 60 Christians turned up to witness to Muslims. The vast majority, by the grace of God, managed to get in free. We had applied for and been given permission to hire stalls and sell or give away Christian literature including Bibles. However this permission was withdrawn by the conference organisers saying they could not guarantee the safety of Christians from radical Muslims inside the Showgrounds. This ban on Christian stalls turned out to our advantage, as it enabled us to spread out, rather than being concentrated in one place. Christians could be seen all over around the conference, making friends with Muslims, asking questions and sharing their faith in Jesus. It soon became obvious, and non-Muslims arriving at the gates were asked by the reception staff: “Are you part of Bernie’s team?” Sometimes conference staff would order Muslims to stop talking to the Christians and send them away. Despite this, we had hundreds of wonderful conversations about Christ throughout the weekend and arranged to meet up with some more open Muslims afterwards.

The United Nations Has Been Morally Bankrupt For Decades

FEBRUARY 5, 2013 – Isi Leibler

Israel was the first country to boycott the annual human rights review presented at the bogus United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Despite being tacitly rebuked by the US, Israel was justified in doing so. For years, whilst ignoring the rampant denial of human rights and the butchering of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians throughout the world, the proceedings of this despicably biased body were concentrated on relentlessly condemning, demonizing and delegitimizing the Jewish state.

Recent examples include the defamatory 2009 Goldstone Report – subsequently recanted by Goldstone himself – accusing Israel of willfully engaging in war crimes, despite having a track record of minimizing civilian casualties in war unmatched by any other country. A year later it again condemned Israel for “attacking” Turkish terrorist “humanitarians” on board the Mavi Marmari of the Gaza ”peace” flotilla.

Israel’s decision to boycott the hearings was vindicated on January 31 when, based on largely fabricated Arab and hostile NGO sources, the UNHRC proclaimed that Israel’s settlements over the green line were in breach of the 1949 Geneva Conventions and accused it of indulging in gross “violations of human rights law”. The review made no reference to the deliberate targeting of Israeli civilians by Palestinian terrorists.

Indonesian youth leaders weep at the altar in Melbourne / Great excitement at QLD campaign kick off / Doveton mosque article / March remaining RUAP campaign schedule / CTFM schedule

Dear family & friends in Christ,

1) Last Saturday morning Pr Daniel was invited to speak at a Indonesian Youth Leader’s Conference in Melbourne. Most of them were university students who were very passionate about Jesus.

Pr Daniel spoke at 3 sessions and challenged the Youth to Rise Up and be counted for Jesus. He also challenged them to let the Holy Spirit move freely in their lives and to position themselves always in the natural in order to receive the supernatural. He said, “You got to be naturally supernatural.”

As they were very keen to know all about RUA Party, he was able to educate them about the importance of Christians in Government. At the altar he laid hands on prayed for them as many started weeping under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Glory to God for a great ministry time.

2) You may click the following link (and zoom in) to read a recent newspaper article regarding the Doveton mosque that appeared on the front page.

https://reformationharvestfire.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/20130318145753138_00012.jpg

3) We’re forwarding the following interesting comment that we recently received regarding the proposed mosque in Doveton.

Dear Pr Daniel, In 1999 I went to Egypt, when there The tour guide occasionally pointed out churches that had a Mosque built on top of them. One stood out it was up high, no one could get to it; yet they had gone and put a Mosque on top of it. This disturbed me a little; it was almost as if they were using the buildings to make a statement of squashing out Christianity. Back then though I did not understand this feeling as I thought that their god was the same as ours (common misconception). I know better now! There was a church I was going to, I was/am being outcast because I was saying everything that you are because of my love for everyone here (including the refugees). If we cannot protect ourselves in the future then how will we protect them (honest people that come here for protection and a safer life). I have been labelled a racist because I am white and I care enough to speak up. It is all a matter of perception, there is a picture at this church of two hands sorting the fish (Matt 6 I think). Everyone in that church thought it was a painting, it was not until the spirit moved me to point out to them that it was a very excellent drawing not a painting. We are being deceived in this country (worldwide in fact). Even though you were born of the night and I was born in the day we are both the same to Jesus. Yet the our own country sees us as racist. Political correctness is wrong as it hides the truth in many ways, I feel it is a great tool for the enemy because without correction we fall off the straight and narrow path to Jesus, we become corrupt. My prayers are with you and for you brother. God Bless Theresa

4) Rise Up Australia Party QLD campaign kicked off the ground also last Thursday with Lord Monckton as the guest speaker. Around 200 people were present at the meeting that QLD State President Michael Jennings opened with a short speech, followed by the well-known Lord Monckton speech.

Lord Monckton spoke on the importance of a voice to be raised up against the current politically correct trend in Parliament, in order to expose the fabricated lies about global warming and the importance of abolishing the carbon tax.

People were greatly challenged and impressed by his speech.

UK Lawyer Andrea Williams warns Australia about Multicuturalism & Islam – Warning very graphic footage of Christians being persecuted

Dear family & friends in Christ,

On Sat night, Sun morning & evening, our Guest Speaker was Andrea Williams from the UK. This woman of God who is a Barrister who stands and fights for the rights of Christians in the UK and other nations.  She had just finished speaking for the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney Peter Jensen before coming to speak at RUAP & CTFM.

At our meetings she challenged the people and said,  “Do not let what’s happened to us in the UK happen to you. You still have an opportunity to protect your nation, but the UK & Europe is in great trouble.”

The BBC reporter covered 2 out of the 3 meetings. We will try our best to send you the link as soon as it is available.

Mrs Williams stated, “The church unfortunately is on MUTE. Thus, now the government has decided to silence the church and make it private. Church leaders are happy to continue to be politically correct and not speak up against what’s wrong, while secular humanism and Islam are having a free run.

Where there is a vacuum something comes in and fills it up. Unfortunately, because the church is on MUTE, people are turning to Islam which is on an onward march right through Europe. Everyone is scared to speak out against it. Multiculturalism has been our great down fall.

A Christian wearing a cross is considered offensive, but wearing the hijab is fully accepted in places of work. She also warned Australia not to let Sharia Law into the country. Since the UK has now embraced parts of Sharia law, some places are now turned into no go zones for non-Muslims.

God’s Love Message Is the Sweetest Gift of All

2/11/2013 Sandra Clifton, D. Min.

“What are you thinking?” I asked my husband, Terry, who was staring at the lineup of 15 throwaway cameras that graced our kitchen counter.

“Valentine’s Day,” Terry answered.

You’re not married for 26 years without getting a glimmer of your spouse’s next thought. So I revealed it to him: “I know—you were going to find a photo of us from these and frame it!”

“Right; how did you know?” Then Terry added with an ornery smile, “What you didn’t know is that I bought a special frame to hold it. It says, ‘BE MINE!’”

We surveyed the cavalcade of cameras and tried to guess what special moments were on each one. In all these pictures there were probably 10 good photos of us smiling as a couple but 1,001cute cat photos! (Did I tell you we have two spoiled cats, Sammy and Barnie, who are naturals on camera?) Terry and I began to wonder which of the 15 cameras contained that one good photo of us.
