Atrocity Rocks Israel

Posted by P. David Hornik from Beersheva, Israel on Mar 14th, 2011

On Friday night at least one terrorist broke into a family’s home in Itamar, a settlement in Samaria (part of the West Bank). The result was that a mother and father, Ruth and Udi Fogel (35 and 36), and three of their six children—two boys, Yoav (11) and Elad (3), and a girl, Hadas (three months)—were stabbed to death. The terrorist(s) escaped and are still being sought by the Israeli security forces.

Ground Zero imam: ‘We have more of a right to Moses’

Imam Abdallah AdhamiImam Abdallah Adhami Urges Muslims ‘wherever they are’ to ‘compete’ with other religions

Posted: January 20, 2011 – By Aaron Klein – © 2011 WorldNetDaily

Muslims have “more of a right” than Jews to the biblical prophet Moses, declared the imam who has become the new face of the proposed Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero in New York City.

Imam Abdallah Adhami also urged Muslims to “compete” with other religions.

“We must be doing it first, we must compete with you to be doing more of that. We want to fast Ashura too, because that’s the day God saved Moses; that is certainly a day to be celebrated. We have more right to Moses,” stated Adhami in a 2008 lecture obtained and reviewed by WND.

Ashura is an Islamic fast day that commemorates Muslim events, including the Islamic claim that Moses fasted on that day to express gratitude to God for liberating the Israelites from Egypt.

South Sudan Set to Become World’s Newest Country

South Sudan is BornMonday, February 7, 2011 By Dan Wooding – Founder of ASSIST Ministries

Christians will now be free to worship without fear of bombings and even crucifixions

JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN (ANS) — ABC News (http://abcnews.go.com) is reporting that the streets of South Sudan’s capital Juba were filled with people dancing with joy over the official announcement today (Monday, February 07, 2011), that the proposed-nation’s independence referendum has passed with more than 98 percent of southerners voting to secede.

People clap during the announcement of the preliminary results of voting in Sudan on Jan 30. South Sudan overwhelmingly voted to split from the north in a referendum intended to end decades of civil war, sparking mass celebrations.

“In Khartoum, Sudan President Omar Al-Bashir and South Sudan President Salva Kiir were together as the official results were announced. Earlier Bashir repeated that the Khartoum government will accept and support the results,” Dana Hughes said in her story for ABC News.

Bashir said on state television, “Today we received these results and we accept and welcome these results because they represent the will of the southern people.”

Australia: Former immigration minister warns country risks becoming “nation of enclaves”

Kevin AndrewsHe also calls attention to the many cases in which halal meat has entered the market without consumers’ knowing — a phenomenon not at all limited to Australia, but also found in the United States and Britain, even in the House of Commons. Why the subterfuge? Why not respect consumers’ rights to make their own informed decisions, except to wear down resistance by forcing people to eat it and denying them a means of telling halal meat apart?

Of course, Kevin Andrews will be pilloried as an “Islamophobe” for this, and accused of fomenting “backlash,” for Islamic groups would have you believe that he who hath looked critically upon Islam hath committed hate crimes in his heart: it has become a standard practice to cast all criticism of Islam as incitement.

“Tackle ‘extreme Islam before it’s too late’, Liberal MPs warn,” by Steve Lewis for the Herald Sun, February 9:
Australia risks becoming a nation of “ethnic enclaves” that unknowingly buys livestock slaughtered “in the name of Allah”, senior Liberal MPs have warned.

Opening up a new political faultline, former immigration minister Kevin Andrews lashed out at political leaders who failed to speak out on the rise of extreme Islam, claiming the silence contributes to the rise of One Nation-type movements.

Their freedom is not our freedom

Diana WestBy Diana West

Americans must learn two concepts to better understand the political earthquake the United States is now pushing as President Obama gives his nod to “the Arab street,” predominantly organized, it seems, by the Muslim Brotherhood, to force out an ally, Hosni Mubarak.

Many on the right have seen in the anti-Mubarak movement vindication of George W. Bush’s Big Idea — that ballot-box democracy would transform the umma into Jeffersonian, or, at least, pro-Western and anti-jihad republics. That this hasn’t happened anywhere (and in spades) doesn’t dampen their enthusiasm. In fact, citing Bush to bolster pro-“opposition” commentary is in vogue. Writing in the Washington Post, Elliott Abrams quotes Bush, circa 2003, as saying: “Are the peoples of the Middle East somehow beyond the reach of liberty? … Are they alone never to know freedom …?” Jay Nordlinger at National Review quotes Bush, circa 2008, as saying: “The truth is that freedom is a universal right — the Almighty’s gift to every man, woman, and child on the face of the earth.”

Such is “universalist” gospel. Universalists believe all peoples prefer freedom to its absence, which is probably true. But they also believe all peoples define “freedom” in the same way. Is that true?

Cameron: It’s time to stop tolerating the Islamic extremists and get immigrants to respect British ‘core values’

David Cameron and Angela MerkelBy Jason Groves – 5th February 2011

David Cameron today pledged to make Britain ‘a lot less’ tolerant towards Islamic extremists who whip up hatred against the West.

In a major speech on terrorism, the Prime Minister argued that Britain has been too ‘passive’ towards organisations and preachers who poison the minds of young Muslims.

Mr Cameron said Britain needs to be less tolerant and more judgemental when faced with ideologies that threaten the country’s basic values.

David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the International Conference on Security Policy in Munich today. ‘Frankly, we need a lot less of the passive tolerance of recent years and much more active, muscular liberalism,’ the Prime Minister said.

Signalling a major departure from Labour’s softly-softly approach, he  suggested that to ‘belong’ in Britain, individuals must sign up to core values such as freedom of speech, the rule of law and democracy.
In a barely-concealed attack on the opposition, he will say: ‘It’s time to turn the page on the failed policies of the past.’

Will China ultimately be a Christian-led Nation?

Chinese Christian WorshipBy Lauren Green – Published January 20, 2011

According to China Aid, a Texas-based human rights group, the number of Christians in China has increased 100-fold since 1949. Current estimates range from 80 million to 130 million active members. And one startling estimate from a Chinese Christian businessman has that number doubling or even tripling in the next generation.

Christianity could become one of the macro forces shaping Chinese culture, say experts like Dr. David Aikman, author of “Jesus in Beijing.”‬‪

“If the Chinese become Christianized … which doesn’t mean you have a majority of people who are Christians, but it means about 25 to 30 percent of people in positions of influence, in politics, in culture, in the media. If you have that component of a major power that accepts Christianity enthusiastically as a guide to life, that is going to change the world view of the leaders of China.”‬‪

Others argue that even if the more generous estimate of 130 Christians is true, it’s still a drop in the bucket in a population of more than a billion people.

“They all preach the same gospel. There are no liberals or conservative branches … they all believe the same.”

Egypt now fears Obama a ‘Manchurian President’

President Obama2011 WorldNetDaily – Posted: February 02, 2011

‘They are trying to understand why he is acting against U.S. interests’ Top members of the Egyptian government say they feel betrayed by President Obama, charging that he is acting against American interests.

“Mubarak’s regime feels Obama is pushing the advancement of the Muslim Brotherhood against U.S. interests,” said WND’s Jerusalem bureau chief and senior reporter Aaron Klein. “They are genuinely trying to understand why Obama is seemingly championing the anti-regime protests.”

Klein said that a top Egyptian diplomat with whom he has developed a rapport over the last few years asked him earlier this week to explain Obama’s motivation to support the opposition to Mubarak.

“I told him none of this should be a surprise,” said Klein, “that the Obama administration has developed an extensive relationship over the last few years with allies of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Get the comprehensive probe that exposes Obama’s Marxist, anti-American past – and present, in “Manchurian President.”

“That my investigating has proven that Obama has been closely associated throughout his political career with radical-left elements who have long petitioned for policies many believe are aimed at weakening the American enterprise both domestically and internationally.”

E-News: Three Liberals speak up on multiculturalism and Islam

Liberal PoliticiansSalt Shakers E-News

Following current articles on multiculturalism in Britain and subsequent reports from Australia, three federal Liberal MPs have spoken out.

Kevin Andrews MHR, Sen Mitch Fifield and Sen Cory Bernardi have warned about the dangers of separatism, the dangers of Islam, the risk of losing Australian culture … and the Islamisation of Australia. The MPs mentioned the silence of political leaders about extreme Islam, the risk of ‘parallel societies’ such as is happening in the UK and Europe where Muslims want shari’a law and the proliferation of ‘halal’ food as problems…

Protests in Egypt / Understanding the Middle East / Christian Persecution

Protests in Egypt By Pr Daniel

Dear family & friends in Christ in Australia and around the World,

I am sure you have been watching the unfolding of events in Egypt and across the Middle East over the past 2 weeks.

I do not claim to be an authority on issues in the Middle East. However, because I spent time working and ministering along with my family in Saudi Arabia, the heartland of Islam, I somewhat understand the mindset of much of the Muslim Arab world.

It seems that the media is all out to promote the change of government in Egypt. Now, if the media supports a particular side, you always need to understand that they almost always promote the negative and not the positive. That is simply the way of the secular left media.

Many governments in the Arab world are pro-West, such as Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abudhabi, Yemen, Turkey, Iraq, Doha, Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Algeria, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and others.

One of the main reasons for this is that the children of the government leaders and of other influential leaders in these countries have studied in the West. Additionally, many of these countries look to the West for security in an constantly unstable and terror threatened region. Many Middle Eastern governments are unsure of whether their own Muslim countrymen might turn their guns on them. They know that they can trust the people and governments in the West. However, they don’t know that this trust comes only because most of the countries in the West were founded on Judeo-Christian values based on the Bible as the only true Word of God.

Egypt, the great antagonist of Israel

Egypt, America, and IsraelEgyptA response to the unrest in Cairo by ICEJ Executive Director, Rev. Malcolm Hedding

February 1st, 2011

Egypt, but for brief moments in history, has always been a great antagonist of the people of Israel. This saga really began some 1700 years before Christ when Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, was wrongly accused and left to rot in an Egyptian jail. If it were not for God’s supernatural deliverance he would have perished there! His rise to power was phenomenal as was his leadership skills. He not only saved Egypt from starvation but he delivered his family and the known world as well and thereby guaranteed the existence of the Jewish people and the Messianic line of descent. If it were not for God’s supernatural deliverance Israel would have perished!

As time went by a Pharaoh arose “who knew not Joseph” and literally enslaved the Jewish people, murdered their babies and threatened the nation with extinction. God went before them and provided a deliverer in the person of Moses. He brought Israel out of Egypt with great signs and wonders by his hands. If it were not for God’s supernatural deliverance Israel would have perished!

When the children of Israel got to the Red Sea the Egyptians had them cornered. There was nowhere to go and so, once again, by a miracle, in response to Moses outstretched arm, the sea parted and Israel escaped unharmed on dry land. If it were not for God’s supernatural deliverance Israel would have perished at the hands of the Egyptians!

CAIRO, EGYPT (ANS) — The BBC is reporting that leaders from the US, UK, France and Germany have urged Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak to avoid violence and enact reforms as protests continue.

In a story that appears on the BBC website, Jeremy Bowen writes, “In Cairo, thousands of demonstrators have ignored a curfew. The army is standing by and not intervening.

Media release – Atheist PM not good for dark chapter in Australia’s history

It is very sad that this dark chapter in Australia’s history is led by an atheist Prime Minister in Julia Gillard and an openly homosexual Greens leader who seems to be the Deputy Prime Minister by default, both who have no regard for God nor Prayer.

Catch the Fire Ministries president Dr Daniel Nalliah said Julia Gillard was not elected by the majority of the Australian people, but rather the personal decision of two power hungry independent MPs who catapulted Ms Gillard to the top job.

“Are we Aussies all paying for that decision? It is very well known that throughout history, in a time of national crisis, Kings, Prime Ministers and Presidents of countries around the world have turned to God, irrespective of whether they were Christian, Buddhist, Hindu or Muslim and asked for help or at least called the nation to pray for protection and for the victims of the disaster,” Dr Nalliah said.

“However, for the past several weeks, right through the flood crisis across Australia, I have not heard our Prime Minister call the people of Australia to pray and ask God for protection and for help for the tens of thousands of people who have become victims of this major disaster,” he said.

“Even the secular media personalities stated several times, ‘Our prayers and thoughts are with you’, but did we hear our PM make any such statements at all or did I just miss out on it?”

Dr Nalliah said, conversely under the Howard Government when Australia was going through a major drought crisis, he recalled how Mr Howard called on the nation to pray for rain in 2007, then followed a National Prayer Gathering in Federal Parliament on 22 October 2007. Within 24 hours the rains started pouring down in many parts of Australia.

Pakistan Minister Condemns Reward for Killing Christian Woman

Spread of IslamWorld Sun, Dec. 05 2010 – By Ethan Cole – Christian Post Reporter

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti condemned Saturday the recent announcement of a reward for killing the jailed Christian woman on death row for blasphemy.

Bhatti said the call is unjust and irresponsible and should be discouraged in the strongest possible manner because no one has the right to issue a decree to kill someone else, according to Pakistan’s Daily Times newspaper. He also added that Pakistan is a civilized country and violation of the rule of law is not allowed.
“Every legal and constitutional means will be adopted in the Asia Bibi case,” assured Bhatti, who was in charge of investigating the case and reported that Bibi was innocent to President Asif Ali Zadari.

A hard-line imam known for making similar reward-for-murder calls in the past offered about $6,000 (500,000 rupees) to anyone who kills Asia Bibi during his sermon at the largest mosque in Peshawar on Friday. Imam Maulana Yousuf Qureshi also threatened the government to not amend or repeal the blasphemy laws “which provide protection to the sanctity of Holy Prophet Muhammad,” according to Asia News.
