Dear family & friends in Christ,
It is with great joy and excitement we bring you this wonderful report regarding the National Prayer Assault on Mount Ainslie in Canberra and 20 plus mountains across Australia!
We believe that Saturday the 14th of August 2010 was a day of history making in the Spirit for our nation as thousands of Christians around Australia stormed heaven in intercessory prayer for the upcoming Federal Election, repenting of sin on behalf of the Church and the nation, asking God to heal our land.
There were Christians gathered on many mountains, churches, homes and parks all across our Great South Land of the Holy Spirit to unite as one in the Lord Jesus Christ to pray for His righteousness to exalt our nation!
Following are some of the places we have a record of where people prayed: Central Coast Gosford, Penshurst, Sugarloaf Mountain in Newcastle, Brown Mountain in Bega Valley, Kellyville, Ryde (between Sydney City and the Blue Mountains), Brown Mountain in Bega Valley (NSW), Kyabram, Boort, Burwood, Hallam, Mildura, Mount William in the Grampians (VIC) Toowoomba (QLD), Darwin, Middleton, Kangaroo Island (SA), Victoria/Daly District, Darwin (NT), Kalgoorlie, (WA), Hobart (TAS), Mt Ainslie (ACT), overseas in Singapore and other nations. Every state and territory was covered in prayer.
Hundreds of Christians from 20 cities and towns across Australia gathered on top of Mount Ainslie in Canberra to pray from 10am – 12pm on Saturday 14th August. They came from Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle, Young, Merimbula, Bega, Cootamundra, Culcairn, Gosford, Griffith and many other places across Australia. There were Christians from 35 different churches, which included Catholic Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Anglican, Evangelical, Pentecostal, Charismatic, and others. It was also very encouraging to see that these prayer warriors represented 40 different nationalities, all who are now Australians and call Australia home.
