Do We Need Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing In The Churches?

One. I and some other Christians are greatly concerned about an interfaith venture which has taken place at various evangelical churches and Christian venues around Australia. It allows an Islamic Imam to share his faith and push his agenda. If secular folk want to run with this, fine, but it seems most dangerous to have Christian groups and churches promoting such things. See my write-up here: http://www.billmuehlenberg.com/2008/11/10/islam-and-fifth-columns/
I also wrote a more general piece on the two visiting Nigerians here: http://www.billmuehlenberg.com/2008/11/04/truth-and-tolerance-christianity-and-islam/

Hi Catch the Fire
Another well written and thoughtful article from Bill Muehlenberg.
Agreed. It is a well used tactic by representatives from Islam to concentrate on how loving and tolerant Islam is.
Sadly past history and current events in Sth Thailand, the Philippines, Nigeria, Somalia, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Bali, etc, etc demonstrate clearly the exact opposite. Islam’s actions speak far louder than it’s words. Sadly some Christians probably believe the “peace” mantra. Living in a peaceful country like Australia can mean you can actually lose reality on what is actually happening across the world. Someone may tell you something, and because your environment and your limited experience with Islam appears to align with what they say, it’s easy to accept a profound lie as truth.
Given the Prayer Breakfast has given an open door policy to Islam, when will the islamic religion give an opportunity for Christians to speak openly about Christianity in their mosques.
I look forward to the day.
kind regards
