Dear friends and family in Christ,

1) Below is an important article from Kirsten Jack regarding ‘Undeniable’ this Sun 15th 7:30pm at Federation Square in Melbourne for your prayer and participation if possible.

Let’s unite as the Body of Christ in Melbourne to publicly proclaim that God is real, alive and well, and that Jesus is King of kings and LORD of lords!

 2) Also for those of you in the Melbourne area, please note that our 9:30am and 6:30pm weekly worship services are on as usual this Sunday 15th April at CTFM Apostolic Centre, 23 Melverton Dr Hallam.

Dear Friend,  I love God with all my heart. He is faithful, loving and powerful. But the Global Atheist Convention is coming to Melbourne in less than two weeks and they intend to make a mockery of our God. I don’t know about you, but I’m not OK with this!

There comes a point when something has to be done and it needs to be done loud!

Two men I know are making a public and loud stand – Pastor Dennis Prince and comedian Ben Price. (more…)

Open Doors: Growth of Christianity in Iran ‘Explosive’

The Christian Post Middle East Sunday, Mar 25, 2012

Despite the Iranian government’s ongoing crackdown of Christians living in the primarily Islamic country, the number of Muslims converting to become Christians is growing at an explosive rate, according to the persecution watchdog group Open Doors USA.

There is even talk of witnessing a Christian revival, especially among young people living in the country, say Open Doors ministry workers in the Middle East.

A house church movement within Iran is part of that revival and has triggered “many secret meetings.” The growth in the number of Christians is happening in all regions, but mostly in larger cities, say Open Doors workers in the region.

Iran is ranked 5th on the Open Doors 2012 World Watch List of the top 50 worst persecutors of Christians.

“Open Doors workers think that the growth of Christianity has everything to do with Iranians getting to know the real face of Islam, the official religion of Iran, and the mistrust of the people toward the government and leaders following the fraudulent 2009 presidential election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,” said a Middle East worker for Open Doors (name withheld for security reasons).

Since the beginning of this year, authorities have arrested Christian converts in Tehran, Ahwaz, Shiraz, Isfahan and Kermanshah, according to news reports from the Middle East and U.S. (more…)

Glorious Resurrection weekend / RUA Party ready for action in Tasmania

Tasmanian RUA State TeamParticipants in the play enjoying fellowshipDear family & friends in Christ,

We thank and praise God for the Easter Resurrection weekend, where we all came together to worship and thank Him for His great gift and sacrifice to mankind, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! It was very encouraging to see the TV News coverage of this weekend, and to hear news reporters say that more people were at church this year than in past years. This is great news, because more Aussies are beginning to feel the need for God in their lives.

Many gathered over the weekend at the CTFM base in Melbourne for the Good Friday service, then on Saturday for a Passover meal and on Sunday for the Resurrection service. All were remembering what happened 2000 years ago and giving glory to God, Hallelujah!

On Saturday the Passover meal and drama was organised and directed by sister Jill Curry and a team from CTFM. This was a remarkable night, as people were taken back to the time of Jesus and the Jewish culture. It was also so good to learn the significance of the Passover meal for today. All tickets were sold out, as many with a heart and love for Israel gathered to celebrate this event. The drama was well presented, giving great insight into the journey the people of Israel took from bondage to the promised land, plus the play of Hinds Feet on High Places beautifully portrayed our journey as Christians from fear to maturity and victory in Christ.

On Resurrection Sunday Pr Daniel spoke on the ’15 reasons to celebrate Resurrection weekend’. People were mightily challenged and blessed through the message. You can buy the CD or DVD by calling CTFM office on Mondays or Thursdays or emailing Angelene@reformationharvestfire.com. (more…)

Atheist Professor’s Near-Death Experience in Hell Left Him a Changed Man

Mark Ellis : Mar 14, 2012 : God Reports

Then [Jesus] picked up Howard, like one football player picking up a fallen teammate on the field, put His arms around him, and Howard cried like a baby in His arms. “He carried me out of there and we headed to where God lives.” Afterwards, Howard told his wife Heaven “was all love… you don’t have to suffer anymore.”

(Fort Thomas, KY)—Howard Storm and his wife Marcia are involved in missionary work in Belize. In excerpts from a God Report’s article, reporter Mark Ellis writes the following about an amazing spiritual experience that changed Howard forever. It reads:

In some near-death experiences, people report they were drawn toward “the light.” But in this horrifying near-death experience for an atheist art professor, he was drawn into the darkness of Hell, which dramatically altered the course of his life.

Howard and current wife Marcia “I was a double atheist,” says Howard Storm, who became a tenured art professor at Northern Kentucky University by age 27. “I was a know-it-all college professor—universities are some of the most closed-minded places there are,” he notes. (Howard and current wife, Marcia/God Reports)

On the last day of a three-week European art tour he led, his group had returned to their hotel in Paris after a visit to the artist Delacroix’s home and studio. As Howard stood in his room with his wife and another student, suddenly he screamed and dropped to the floor in agony.

“I had a perforation of the small stomach, known as the duodenum,” he recalls. At first, Howard thought he was shot, and he glanced around the room to see if he could spot a smoking gun. As he writhed in pain on the ground, kicking and screaming, his wife called for a doctor.

“They said I needed surgery immediately,” Howard says. “It’s like having a burst appendix. I was told that if they don’t get to it within five hours, you’re probably going to die.”

Howard had the misfortune of a falling ill on a Saturday in a country with socialized medicine, and no doctor could be found. “French doctors do seven surgeries a week, and after they do the seven surgeries, they take the weekend off,” he discovered. (more…)

Moroccans demand change to Islamic penal code after girl, 16, kills herself because judge forced her to marry her RAPIST

By Lee Moran  14 March 2012

Angry Moroccans are demanding a change to the country’s strict Islamic penal code after a 16-year-old girl killed herself after being forced to marry her rapist.

An online petition, a Facebook page and countless tweets expressed horror over the suicide of Amina Filali, who swallowed rat poison on Saturday in protest at her marriage to the man who raped her a year earlier.

Article 475 of the Moroccan penal code allows for the ‘kidnapper’ of a minor to marry his victim to escape prosecution, and it has been used to justify a traditional practice of making a rapist marry his victim to preserve the honour of the woman’s family.

A judge in Tangier  ordered the rapist to marry his victim as ‘punishment’. (more…)

Marriage is best for raising children, Government says

By James Kirkup, Deputy Political Editor – 12 Mar 2012

It is better for children to be raised by two parents than one, and better still when those parents are married, the Government will declare today.

Mr Duncan Smith said he was not ‘lecturing’ parents on how to live, merely setting out the facts on the advantages of marriage and commitment.

Iain Duncan Smith will make the Coalition’s most explicit official statement in favour of parents marrying and staying together.

He will say that children from such homes are most likely to end up with a good education and a job.

The Work and Pensions Secretary will make the declaration as he announces an Early Intervention Foundation to raise millions of pounds from private investors to help disadvantaged children. (more…)

Massive pro-life banner greets Australian legislators for 70 days parliament in session

by Jason Rushton, Australia correspond

MELBOURNE, March 14, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A peaceful protest has begun at the entrance to the car-park of the parliament where three years ago Australia’s most radical abortion laws were introduced.

On each of the 70 sitting days of Victoria’s parliament this year, pro-life protesters will display a green six-foot-high banner marked with one white cross for every baby aborted since the first of January, 2012.

The unmissable banner, which due to local council regulations must be carried by volunteers at all times, will stretch along the green hedge/fence at the back of parliament house beside the car-park entrance.

“The politicians are going to have to drive past this every time they come to work for all of this year,” said David Forster, the protest organiser. “They’re going to see that banner get longer and longer and longer. Every month when they come in, there will be another 2,000 white crosses added on to it.” (more…)

More than 200 gather to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Pr Daniel and wife Maryse / Live webcast – Easter Resurrection Sunday

Dear family & friends in Christ,

We thank and praise God for a wonderful time of celebration and fellowship at the 25th wedding anniversary thanksgiving service of Pr Daniel & his wife Maryse, which was held in Melbourne on 30th March 2012.

It was so nice to see family, friends, church members & many pastors, from so many different ethnic backgrounds, come together as one to celebrate this special  occasion of their loving commitment toward the Lord and one another. Some traveled from overseas and interstate to be a part of the function.

At the thanksgiving service they renewed their marriage vows as Pr Daniel put a very special eternity ring on his wife Maryse. Their senior pastors originally from Sri Lanka, now living in Australia (Townsville), Pr Camilus and his wife Karen, traveled from interstate especially for the anniversary, to conduct the service of thanksgiving and renewing of vows.

The service started with prayer by Pr Gary, then a few beautiful songs of worship led by Nigel & Shannen (Pr Daniel & Maryse’s, Son & Daughter). They also sang aPs Daniel congratulates his wife Maryse few very special songs to Dad & Mum and then spoke of the joy, love & happiness that the Nalliah family has experienced through Jesus their Lord and Saviour, through all the challenges they have faced in their journey of serving the Lord together. Many at the party were in tears.

Their youngest daughter Brianna, who turns 5 in June, was very busy finishing all the chocolates which were on the table.

Then Pr Cami led the service and renewing of vows. He also spoke of the many years he had known the Nalliah family and that how honoured he was to be at their 25th wedding anniversary.

Palestinian Christians Focus on Peace, Not End Times Prophecy, at ‘Checkpoint’ Conference

By Stoyan Zaimov , Christian Post Reporter – March 15, 2012

A conference held last week in Bethlehem between March 5-9 brought together more than 600 international and local Christians to discuss the future of Palestinian Christians and the ongoing Middle East conflict.

“Christ at the Checkpoint” addressed how to keep hope and faith in Christ amid the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, and discussed biblical ways of viewing the issues that have historically divided the two communities. It was hosted by Bethlehem Bible College, an organization of Palestinian Evangelical Christians.

Although a lot has been written in recent times comparing the current Middle East situation to prophecies highlighted in the Bible, the conference leaders wanted to steer the discussion away from End Times talk and encourage the evangelical community to join Palestinians in following Jesus in the prophetic pursuance of justice, peace and reconciliation.

Some of the other goals of the conference included seeking ways to empower and encourage the Palestinian church; expose the realities of the injustices in the Palestinian territories and create awareness of the obstacles to reconciliation and peace; create a platform for engagement with Christian Zionism and motivate participants to become advocates for the reconciliation work of the church and its ramifications for the Middle East and the world. Hitler’s Best Kept Secret?

As I wept my way through the Holocaust doing research for a new book called Hitler, God and the Bible, I thought that I would uncover why Adolf Hitler so hated the Jews. But all I found were a number of theories; no one really knowing for sure as to why his hatred was so venomous. Some surmise that he was insanely jealous of the Jews because many were able to stay financially secure during the 1929 depression. Others think that he was bitter because he contracted syphilis from a Jewish prostitute. In Mein Kampf he called it a “Jewish disease,” and this lead to speculation by some that he may have contracted the disease himself.

Still other authorities believe that his hatred grew out of a sense of rejection, after he submitted his paintings to the Vienna Academy of Fine Art. Hitler claimed that the professors that rejected him, were Jewish. Others believe another theory–that “The core of his hatred lies at the defeat of Germany in WWI.”

Perhaps it was a combination of each one that fostered the fire of hatred, that consumed the lives of six million Jews. However, I believe that there was another factor that clearly fueled the fire, and one that is often overlooked.

Adolf Hitler had a huge reason to kill Jews, because they helped him to finance his war-machine. Every time he seized the assets of wealthy Jewish families, it meant money in his bank. Big money. Cash, adding up to many billions of dollars came directly from their murder. According to those who have access to the details, he financed a massive 30 per cent of the German war effort by killing Jewish families and stealing their wealth. (more…)
