CTFM Israel mission report part 3 / Woman raised from the dead / by Pastor Daniel

Diana with Dr Murray and Geraldine of CTFM in Hospital Dear family & friends in Christ,

I am sure this part 3 report of God’s mighty power at work right in the Nation of Israel will greatly bless and encourage you to know that we serve a God of miracles!

On the last day of our tour in Israel we all boarded the 2 buses and started on our journey to cross the border into Jordan to visit mount Nebo before proceeding to the Amman Airport for our flights the same day.

In my bus was a lady by the name of Diana from Wagga Wagga in NSW, which is 4 hours from Melbourne, Australia, who had joined us on the tour. Also in the same bus was a Doctor by the name of Murray from Western Australia.

All seemed normal, except for the fact that we were sad to leave Israel, so as usual we started worshipping and singing praises to God. I was seated at the front of the bus as I was using the microphone to lead the people in worship.

While we were driving we were also talking about how great it was to visit the tombs of Lazarus and Jesus, as they were both raised from the dead in Israel over two thousand years ago. Suddenly I heard some shouting in the bus. At first I did not take much notice, but then my wife shouted out, “Danny, Danny come here.” She had just noticed something that she had seen a few times in ministry before.

God’s Strategic Plan for Iran

Wednesday, 26 May 2010 J. Lee Grady Newsletters – Fire in my Bones

An Iranian evangelist says a spiritual awakening of unprecedented magnitude is occurring behind the scenes in a nation known for its terrorism.

Most Americans have put Iran on a blacklist. We’re concerned about Shiite militants who spread terrorism around the world, we don’t trust Iran’s nuclear weapons plans and we can’t stomach Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s human rights record or his maniac ways.

But my friend Lazarus Yeghnazar, an Iranian evangelist based in England, hopes you will develop some compassion for this part of the world. Most of us associate the Bible with Israel, but did you know that Esther, Daniel, Nehemiah, Ezra and Habakkuk all walked on Persian land that is now called Iran? In fact, the tombs of Esther, Daniel, Habakkuk, Cyrus and Darius are in Iran.

“”Yeghnazar says the churches are growing so fast in Iran that some leaders have wondered if they should stop evangelizing. ‘One church leader told me they have stopped sharing their faith because every Iranian they witness to comes to Christ.’ “

Yeghnazar points out that Iranians were among the first Christian converts. The people known as Parthians, Medes and Elamites, who were in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost (see Acts 2:9, 11), were from what is now Iran. Jeremiah prophesied that God would “restore the fortunes of Elam” in the last days (see Jer. 49:39). Elam is modern-day Iran.

This promise of spiritual restoration is no longer a far-off dream. A vibrant New Testament church is thriving in Iran, in spite of brutal persecution under Ahmadinejad’s regime. And this growing spiritual awakening in Iran could play a significant role in end-time events. (more…)

CTFM Israel mission – Part 2 / by Pastor Daniel

Pastor Daniel and his wife leading the CTFM tour in IsraelEastern / Golden Gate where King Jesus rides through after His 2nd Coming to Jerusalem, IsraelDear family & friends in Christ,

I was so happy to read all the encouraging feedback from my last email titled ‘CTFM Israel mission great success – Part 1 / Mini revival in the aircrafts and transit hotel’ and I hope that this Part 2 report will bless you too!

I just do not know where to start once again, but I will try my best to share as briefly as possible as to what happened over our 8 day mission to Israel.

Although entering into Israel territory was very exciting, we were all very tired and ready to sleep the day we arrived.  There were many security checks, but they were not too bad. As soon as they heard that we were from Australia, there was great favour given to us. I must also say that with Jesus on our side, we did not have any major issues at all!

More than 60 of us were on this intercessory prayer mission trip, including my wife Maryse and little girl Brianna. I must say that the Catch The Fire team were just absolutely fantastic as everyone worked together so well and helped each other, which made the trip so pleasant and very exciting

For the first few days we stayed in the Palestinian controlled areas. The Jews & Palestinians were all very nice to us. We had many opportunities to share the love of Jesus and to pray with them. In fact, our bus driver who was a Palestinian Arab Muslim gave his life to Jesus!

Every site we visited in the Holy Land was so special and almost every site had been secured by mainline churches. Thank God for them, because if not for them, there possibly would be no Christian sites to visit in Israel. However, it was most depressing in many of these traditional religious places, as everyone was told to be silent in respect of the holy sites. We at CTFM did play by the rules at first, but then I remembered that Jesus is alive, not dead, and we needed to bring back the joy of the Lord! So I went up to the priest at every site and very kindly challenged him that we should celebrate that Jesus is alive! This strategy was successful at almost every place as we were given permission by the priests to praise and worship the Lord out loud in public! This was fantastic and brought great excitement into many of the traditional religious parts of the trip as we took over lifted our hands to worship the Lord! (more…)

New York’s fury at plans for Ground Zero mosque

By Mail Foreign Service on 16th May 2010

Plans to build a giant mosque close to Ground Zero have caused a storm of protest from families who lost loved ones in the September 11 attacks.

Angry relatives claim the move is an ‘insult’ to the victims of the World Trade Centre atrocity.

The mosque is part of a proposed 13-storey Muslim community centre, which will include a swimming pool, gym, theatre and sports facilities.

‘Sacred’ ground’: The World Trade Centre attacks claimed 3,000 lives. Plans to build a mosque at Ground Zero site have been described as a ‘slap in the face’

The building, which was damaged by the fuselage of one of the hijacked planes, is just two blocks from Ground Zero. (more…)

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: “We Will Never Divide Jerusalem”

by Teresa Neumann : May 14, 2010 : Staff – The Jerusalem Post
The truth is that Jerusalem is our lifeblood. We have an indissoluble connection to it.”

(Jerusalem, Israel)—Israel’s capital will never be divided, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said during a speech in honor of Jerusalem Day on Wednesday, May 12.

“We cannot divide or freeze a city as vibrant and creative as Jerusalem – we will continue to build and be built by it,” he said. “Jerusalem Day is the day on which Jerusalem was finally liberated, and was able to take all of its residents, Jewish and Arab, under its wings. Never again shall it be suffocated, gloomy or divided.”

As reported in the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu’s speech centered on the interaction between peace and truth.

“We are the generation which was lucky enough to see our holy sites liberated and returned to our hands, and it is upon us to transfer this right to our children,” he said.

“The truth is that Jerusalem is our lifeblood. We have an indissoluble connection to it.”

An AP report noted that Netanyahu quoted the Bible frequently when defending the state of Israel, saying: “Because you asked: Jerusalem is mentioned 142 times in the New Testament, and none of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. But in an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem.”  (more…)

CTFM Israel mission great success – Part 1 / Mini revival in the aircrafts and transit hotel

Flag of IsraelPastor Daniel and his wife leading the CTFM tour in IsraelDear family and friends in Christ,

All glory and honor to the King of kings and the Lord of lords as our mission to Israel which was a great success!

I really do not know where to start. Possibly, there is not enough words to explain all that happened. I cannot write it all at once, but will try to send it across as part 1, 2, 3, etc.

On the 27th May, arouClnd 50 of us from Catch The Fire Ministries boarded the Malaysian Airlines plane in Melbourne. From the time we boarded the aircraft, we knew God was with us and something exciting was going to happen.

As the plane began moving down the runway, we were all very surprised when the pilot said, “Welcome to all at Catch The Fire Ministries. May you all have a great and safe pilgrimage to the Holy Land.” We were so happy and amazed to receive this welcome aboard Malaysian Airlines.

As we were high up in the sky over Australia, all the generals of prayer were ready to fire their weapons of the Holy Spirit (praying in tongues) at 4pm the planned time to unite heaven and earth in prayer. I had told the cabin crew that we were going to pray and suddenly there appeared on all the television screens behind every single seat throughout the whole aircraft the words, “Catch The Fire Ministries please pray for Australia – Ps Daniel.” (more…)

Franklin Graham: Islam Is Not Faith of America

Franklin GrahamThurs May 06, 2010 By Michelle A Vu, Christian Post Reporter

Ahead of the National Day of Prayer, Franklin Graham expressed dismay at how Islam is receiving preferential treatment by the Obama administration.

“It’s just horrific,” Graham said to Newsmax.TV this week. “If you just take women alone … I just don’t understand why the president would be giving Islam a pass.”

Graham wants the president to speak up for women and minorities living in Muslim countries instead of one-sidedly praising Islam.

As a result of Graham speaking up for oppressed women and minorities himself, the army disinvited him from its Pentagon National Day of Prayer event. An army spokesman said Graham’s remarks about Islam were inappropriate and contradicted the military’s inclusive message.

After the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Graham called Islam a “very evil and wicked religion.” Then in an interview with CNN’s Campbell Brown in December 2009, he said:

The evangelist, who was recently disinvited from a Pentagon prayer event over past comments he made about Islam, pointed to the violence against Muslim women.

“True Islam cannot be practiced in this country. You can’t beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they’ve committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries.” (more…)

Indian Evangelist Hacked to Death

Friday, May 7, 2010 By Dan Wooding Founder of ASSIST Ministries

An ICC spokesperson told the ASSIST News Service, “After showing the film, Evangelist Ravi Murmu and members of his team started their journey home. During the journey, Ravi left the team to take a short-cut to his house. When he failed to reach home late that evening, a search ensued. The searchers found his dead body with his right hand cut off, and deep cut wounds on his neck and other parts of his body.”

LAXMANPUR, INDIA (ANS) — Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that on Sunday, May 2, 2010 an Indian evangelist was brutally murdered in Laxmanpur, India, after showing Daya Sagar, a film about the life of Jesus Christ.

According to the report by the “Persecution Update India”, the attackers didn’t take any of his belongings, including motor bike, cell phone, watch and the Bible. Thus, the motive for the murder doesn’t appear to be robbery.

Shailendra Murmu, brother of Ravi, and an evangelist himself, said that his brother seems to have been murdered between 9:30 and 10:00 PM.

“The police took the badly beaten and lacerated body to a hospital. After the post mortem exam was completed, Ravi’s family was able to take his body and bury it. The police have assured the family that they will soon find out the perpetrators of the crime and bring them to justice,” said the ICC spokesperson.

Ravi is survived by his wife Rinku, his 8 year old daughter, Celesty, and widowed mother.

When Shailendra was asked how the family is doing after the death of his brother, he answered, “the peace of God still reigns in this house and in this family.” (more…)

Thank God for the one man who has the courage to stand up to our ruling elite’s assault on Christianity

Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey

Mail Online  on 12th April 2010

The Church and the judiciary are two of the most venerable pillars of the establishment.

But in an explosive development, war has been declared between them over one of the most fundamental aspects of our society – freedom of religious conscience.

In an unprecedented move, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey, and other church leaders are calling upon the Master of the Rolls and other senior judges to stand down from future Court of Appeal hearings involving cases of religious discrimination because of the judges’ perceived bias against Christianity.

Lord Carey is said to have prepared a witness statement in support of Mr McFarlane

No wonder Lord Carey and his colleagues have been galvanised into militant action. For under the guise of promoting ‘ tolerance’ and ‘liberal’ social attitudes, anti-discrimination law is deeply intolerant and illiberal. (more…)

Israel and the Gaza flotilla

Temple Mount in Jerusalem, IsraelSalt Shakers E-News – 3rd June 2010

If you relied on the mainstream media for your news about the recent incident with the Israeli armed forces boarding the flotilla of boats that was sailing for Gaza that resulted in casualties, you’d have a fairly one-sided view of things.

Media reports have referred to ‘an aid convey’, ‘peace activists’ and ‘humanitarian aid’ and the number of these ‘peace activists’ who were killed.

Yet a Turkish Islamist group connected to Al Qa’ida was responsible for the ‘convoy’…. read on for another look at the issue…

Reports of national leaders condemning Israel for their actions have been prominent, including from PM Kevin Rudd. Little mention was made of the fact that Egypt did not join in the condemnation. One report noted, in the last line of their article, that Egypt had been silent – but they didn’t explain that Egypt had also imposed a blockade on Gaza along with Israel because of Hamas being in control in Gaza!

Protests by Islamic and left-wing groups around the world condemned Israel. In Sydney, a protest was led by Sheik al Hilaly, the former Islamic mufti of Australia -  SMH reported “Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly, from Lakemba mosque, addressed the protest, calling Israel a terrorist state. He held up a Turkish flag, chanting ”Turkey is coming”, before leading the protesters on the march down George Street.”

The ABC’s Kerry O’Brien interviewed a spokesmen for Israel’s foreign ministry – who explained what had happened and pointed out that the convoy to try and break the sanctions was coordinated by an Islamist group from Turkey called the the Turkish IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi) that Israel has designated a terrorist organization. Nevertheless the ABC ignored this and continued with their approach of condemning the Israeli soldiers for boarding the ships. (View report here  – scroll down to “Israel faces criticism over fatal raid on Gaza aid ship”). They spoke to people on some ships who assured the media that they didn’t have guns or weapons and it was all ‘peaceful’.

A Brutal Ambush at Sea

Ron Ben Yishai recounts the bloody clash aboard Gaza-bound vessel: The lacking crowd-dispersal means, the brutal violence of ‘peace activists,’ and the attempt to bring down an IDF helicopter.

Our Navy commandoes fell right into the hands of the Gaza mission members. A few minutes before the takeover attempt aboard the Marmara got underway, the operation commander was told that 20 people were waiting on the deck where a helicopter was to deploy the first team of the elite Flotilla 13 unit. The original plan was to disembark on the top deck, and from there rush to the vessel’s bridge and order the Marmara’s captain to stop.

Officials estimated that passengers will show slight resistance, and possibly minor violence; for that reason, the operation’s commander decided to bring the helicopter directly above the top deck. The first rope that soldiers used in order to descend down to the ship was wrested away by activists, most of them Turks, and tied to an antenna with the hopes of bringing the chopper down. However, Flotilla 13 fighters decided to carry on.

Navy commandoes slid down to the vessel one by one, yet then the unexpected occurred: The passengers that awaited them on the deck pulled out bats, clubs, and slingshots with glass marbles, assaulting each soldier as he disembarked. The fighters were nabbed one by one and were beaten up badly, yet they attempted to fight back. (more…)

The Perfect Storm – The True Story in Israel

Israeli FlagJerusalem Prayer Team – Mike Evans Ministries

On May 31, Israel walked straight into a trap—a trap set by a group of so-called activists determined to break Israeli attempts to halt the flow of arms and war materiel into the Gaza strip.

Having been warned in advance that the intent of the Free Gaza movement flotilla was to shatter the Israeli blockade, the IDF prepared to board the ships and divert them to Ashdod for inspection. A member of the Free Gaza organization credited with launching the flotilla, Greta Berlin, clarified the intent of the group: “We’re not trying to be a humanitarian mission.”

Apparently, Israel was ill-informed that the ship carried 700 pro-Palestinian activists prepared to do whatever necessary to reach their goal. American-born pro-Palestinian activist Hawaida Arraf threw down the gauntlet with the assertion: “We fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation or threats of violence against us. They are going to have to forcefully stop us.”

According to Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon “the armada of hate and violence in support of the Hamas terror organization was a premeditated and outrageous provocation. The organizers are well-known for their ties to Global Jihad, Al-Qaeda and Hamas. They have a history of arms smuggling and deadly terror. On board the ship we found weapons that were prepared in advance and used against our forces…” (more…)

Why are Liberals So Afraid of Prayer?

Bishop Harry JacksonBy Harry Jacskson Jr – The Christian Post  – Apr. 27 2010

The last two weeks have been anything but calm in the world of faith and religion. Conservative Christians are wondering whether they are being betrayed by both the White House and the court system. The ruling of a Wisconsin judge that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional and violates the concept of the separation of church and state has been like a blow to the solar plexus for battle weary Christians. In the much-touted culture wars, there has never been such an open case of liberals throwing down the gauntlet in a specific area that has been deemed “Christian territory.”Perhaps the blame for this change in the political atmosphere should be laid at the feet of the current administration and it’s concept of pluralism. After all, the president boldly declared last year that the U.S. was no longer a Christian nation. This remark infuriated the faithful and set the stage for millions of rank and file Christians to question his personal faith. Next, he did not attend the National Day of Prayer and refused to make a declaration or statement until late in the day last year. Conservative Christian powerbrokers watched tentatively as the administration attempted to bring new leaders into the president’s advisory circle. These new leaders had no real national cache’ with the Christian masses. Despite the fact that the president attended a Congressional prayer breakfast earlier this year, his approach seems to have been aimed at “defanging” the politically powerful, religious right.
