“God Uses Ordinary People!” Merrigum Harvest Weekend

Little Girl Accepts The Lord Into Her LifeThe CTFM Team at The FarmGod loves people, He uses ordinary people, He seeks humble, willing vessels simply available, and prepared to listen to His voice and obey. Who would have thought a small group of “seemingly” ordinary Christians in a sleepy country town called Merrigum (between Tatura and Kyabram, half hour from Shepparton in the Goulburn Valley) could have believed for Ps. Danny and the Catch The Fire Team (Dianne, Rosalie, Glen & Noreen) to join with them for a whole weekend and host a special worship weekend during the peak of the Goulburn Valley fruit-picking season? To be blessed in seeing God touch the hearts of so many young backpackers from the nations of the world as they stood to give thanks for our nation of Australia and their role in “the Harvest”.

Shalom Worship Centre, a non-denominational apostolic healing Church hosted a special prayer and worship weekend “Miracles in Merrigum” believing for God to bring hope and healing to our communities presently struggling with the many issues confronting both our farming communities, flood and fire victims, and those seriously affected by the global economic meltdown. Our nation needs prayer, our farmers need prayer, our leaders need prayer, …the Church needs to learn how to pray! Jesus is turning over the money tables in His Church, God is calling His House back to be what the Father had purposed – “that My House shall be called a House of Prayer for all Nations”! (Mathew 21:12-13, Isaiah 56:7, 11 Chronicles 6&7 –ordinances of prayer) (more…)

Largest Church In Middle East, Thriving In The United Arab Emirates, With Healings In Almost Every Main Service

Dr. V. DilkumarBy Aimee Herd

“Never did I ever expect such things, never, never… I only rejoice for what I am today because of Jesus.”

(Dubai, UAE)—One might expect to find such a vital Christian congregation as the King’s Revival flourishing in the US or Australia, however, this 7,000-member church, which has 24 pastors is situated in the Middle East.

King’s Revival Church International began as a small house church of just 7 people, led by Dr. V. Dilkumar, who moved from his native Sri Lanka in 1991 to Dubai, one of 7 states in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). From its humble start, the church grew to become the largest Evangelical church in the Middle East.

“Never did I ever expect such things, never, never,” Dr. Dilkumar told CBN News, “I only rejoice for what I am today because of Jesus.”

The founding pastor went on to explain that there are 14 services weekly at King’s Revival, 4 in English, the rest in other languages. (more…)

Salt Shakers E-News: Reflections On The ‘National Memorial Service’

Last week we mentioned the national memorial service for the bushfires – it was held on Sunday 22 February.

We noted that there had been one reference to it being ‘interfaith’ but that had been later reported as being ‘non-denominational’. . .

So what was the service really like?
The word we’d probably use to describe the service is ‘secular’.
It was hosted by ABC newsreader Ian Henderson and started with an Aboriginal ‘welcome to country’ by aboriginal elder Joy Murphy.
There were speeches by community representatives and members of the emergency services. The Governor General spoke with so many ‘platitudes’ it was hard to know what she really said, and Princess Anne gave a touching message from the Queen and herself.
There was talk of courage and resilience. There was no naming of the individuals who died – perhaps that was because the list is not final and the coroner’s reports have not been completed. (more…)

Pastor Danny Ministering In Corryong

Believers Pray For Pr DannyThe following is a letter that was sent to Pr Danny, from Pr Douglas & Carol Allen, after he ministered in their church in Corryong:

“What an amazing weekend…. Pastor Danny and his team arrived here in the High Country of North East Victoria (Corryong) Saturday afternoon after a 5 and a half hour drive from Melbourne. Praise God for their faithfulness in coming to our small community to be a blessing.

Standing United At The AltarAs the people started to arrive Saturday evening God spoke into Pst Danny’s heart about a young man who needed a deep touch from God, including salvation. He Touched By The Holy Spiritcalled him out and spoke a word over him which was totally spot on for the crisis he is going through. Praise the Lord for a good work which has begun. Also that same night he spoke into the lives of couples who belong to the fellowship with regards to what God has in store for them and how God is going to use them in the days to come. We, being the Pastors, know just how our people needed to hear these words, which once again from our knowledge of these precious folk was so spot on! Thank you Pastor Danny and team (Barry & Susanna & Barry & Cheryl) for being so sensitive and passing onto to us what you heard from God.

The Word which was ministered on Sunday morning was awesome (1Kings 16 & 17 ) We believe great fruit will come about from this. The Presence of God was beautiful and tangible. (in all meetings!) (more…)

Make “Resolutions Of The Heart” For 2009 Suggests Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

By Teresa Neumann

Billy Graham“Live generously and God’s love will be evident in your life.”

Contemplating setting goals for 2009? The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has some ideas: live generously, reflect all year long, and grow closer to God.

“A list of resolutions can lead to discouragement if the goals prove too difficult to maintain. After all, lasting change begins in a person’s heart—not on a numbered list or piece of paper,” writes Ann Marie Chilton for the BGEA website. “If people are generous with their time, generous with their money, and generous with their belongings, then it’s easy for others to see Christ’s love lived out through their lives. CTFM Report On Australia Day United Prayer At Melbourne Town Hall

Denominational Leaders United in Prayer on StageDear Family and Friends in Christ,

The Australia Day United Prayer gathering was once again a resounding success with 1,500 Christians from many denominations, churches, and ethnicities all joining hearts and hands to worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords in a significantly placed central venue in Melbourne! Many travelled from NSW, SA, ACT, TAS, WA, QLD and from all across VIC to participate in this significant prayer celebration for our nation as the Lord was highly exalted above all!

The Crowd At Australia Day 2009The Melbourne Town Hall main auditorium soon became a sea of people as they streamed in to get a seat to be a part of this history making day.  The City of Melbourne was abuzz with tens of thousands of Aussies in the streets celebrating Australia Day through parades, dances, music and various events right across the City.  Glory to God, amongst all that was happening outside as a backdrop, 1,500 worshippers joined in one accord to cry unto the Lord for our nation’s spiritual revival and transformation!

VIPs - Denominational RepresentativesPastor Danny personally was so extremely thrilled to be sharing the stage with so many from across the Body of Christ (around 15 denominational leaders and representatives) – many commenting, “The unity demonstrated by the leaders and worshippers was absolutely wonderful!” welcoming such opportunities to express a united physical front. We also advanced the spiritual Kingdom of God in such a positive way, destroying strongholds of the enemy and seeing the City of Melbourne given into the rightful hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ruler of this City and Nation! News – Report Exposes Islam In Australia

Ps Daniel Scott and Ps Danny Naliah and their families went through 5 years of virtual hell because they told Christians that Islam allowed polygamy (up to 4 wives) and that it was happening in Victoria, that the Quran allowed some physical beating of wives by husbands, that women were of lesser value than men, and more.

All denied, and called vilification, by three Western converts (who clearly had a limited understanding of Islam generally and more specifically the Quran), and also by the Islamic Council of Victoria.

Yet a Howard government commissioned report, conducted by the Islamic Women’s Welfare Council of Victoria and released exclusively by Barney Zwartz in The Age newspaper today, reveals that what Daniel Scott said was in fact the truth and that it is certainly happening here in Victoria.

Local Muslim clerics accused

The Age – Barney Zwartz  – November 21, 2008

SOME Muslim religious leaders in Victoria are condoning rape within marriage, domestic violence, polygamy, welfare fraud and exploitation of women, according to an explosive report on the training of imams. (more…)

Where Were You, God?

Greg LaurieWorld Net Daily – Greg Laurie

Have you ever had a crisis so overwhelm you that you thought you could not survive? Have you ever faced a set of circumstances that you simply thought you would not be able to get through?

I have. When my son Christopher went to heaven just a few months ago, it was my worst nightmare come true. It seemed almost unbearable. But God was with our family, sustaining us in each moment through the most radical of circumstances. He has been helping us get through it each and every day.

The Bible tells the story of a tight-knit family who also had a loved one die. They were friends of Jesus, and he would frequent their home in Bethany, near Jerusalem. Mary, Martha and Lazarus were three people who could honestly say that Jesus was their personal friend. But one day, Lazarus became gravely ill. So they did what every person ought to do in times of crisis: they sent word to Jesus to do something about it.

What we first learn from this story is that life is filled with pain, sorrow, sickness and the death of loved ones. When we are younger, we don’t necessarily understand this. But as we get older, our grandparents will die, then our parents will die, and then, as we age, our day will eventually come. (more…)

New York Harvest Crusade Reaps Over 1,300 Souls For Christ

Harvest Crusade NYBy Teresa Neumann

“There is no more important decision you will ever make than to put your faith in Jesus Christ, because it literally has life or death consequences attached to it.”

(New York, NY)—Last weekend, Pastor Greg Laurie spoke to 13,000 attendees at the New York Harvest Crusade at Madison Square Garden, one of a series of crusades held throughout the country.

Speaking about the loss of his 33-year-old son Christopher on July of this year, Laurie said: “If I didn’t have Christ in my life, I don’t know how I could bear it. But because I am a Christian and because Christopher is a Christian, I know I will see him again. (Photo: Harvest Christian Fellowship) (more…)

Week 25 – Melbourne & Canberra Receive A Mighty Outpouring Of The Holy Spirit!

Woman healed after 40 years of deafnessDear Friends and Family in Christ,

In Hallam (Melbourne) on Thursday (27th) & Friday night (28th) those hungry for the presence of God gathered to worship, honour and praise the One True and Living God for His goodness and grace. Two glorious nights where visiting travellers came from New South Wales and South Australia to drink from the river of God poured out during this 5-6 months.

Husband Hugs Wife As She Receives Healing From GodTestimonies continue to flow concerning healings, deliverance from darkness and depression and a glorious freedom enabled others to be set free from hindrances and oppression. The presence of God was so strong that many people simply rested in the Spirit being saturated with the Lord. Many conveyed their joy of how the passion ignited within them at the meetings has compelled them to witness and see souls saved from destruction.

Over the last 25 weeks, we have witnessed a wonderful visitation and outpouring of the Spirit of God into the lives of His people, equipping them to effectively re-produce for the Kingdom of Light, growing in grace and goodness, as they have dwelt in His presence. We know that each one who has received from the Lord will take the deposit received and fervently follow the Word in these troubled times. (more…)
