Five reasons why Australians should not vote for Ms Gillard as PM – vote for Labor is a vote for the Greens

A vote for Labor means a vote for the Greens, according to Dr Daniel Nalliah, President of Catch the Fire Ministries (CTFM) – an inter-denominational Para-church Ministry with more than 60 bases across Australia and reaching tens of thousands of voters across the nation.

Dr Nalliah has given five reasons why Australians should not vote for Ms Gillard as Prime Minister at the upcoming federal election on August 21.

Central to the objection is the realization that a vote for Labor will essentially be a vote for the Greens. “Do you really want Bob Brown and the Greens to run our country?” Dr Nalliah said.

“Ms Gillard’s close alliance with the Greens means if Australians vote for Labor they will actually be voting for the Greens,” he said.

1. A vote for Labor will be a vote for Greens. “The current alliance that Labor has forged with the Greens is a real disaster for Australia and Australians. We are sure that this election will be a very close one in which Labor will have to go to bed with the Greens to get into power.  This will result in Greens policy constantly reflected in every decision Labor makes. ‘I went into prison a terrorist and came out an evangelist’: Former Ulster fighter abandons life of violence after finding God

article-1293033-0a5ce605000005dc-283_468x665By Liz Hull on 9th July 2010

As a member of the Ulster Volunteer Force, David Hamilton’s life was peppered with violence and murder.

He was repeatedly shot, orchestrated bombings and bank robberies, and brought terror to the streets of Northern Ireland.

But after spending years in jail, the 56-year-old has turned his back on his old life and committed himself to peace as a pastor in England.

New beginning: Former loyalist terrorist David Hamilton has abandoned his life of bombs, guns and armed robbery to become a pastor.

Mr Hamilton yesterday revealed he ‘found God’ while serving an 11-year sentence in the notorious Maze prison and currently presides over a 200-strong congregation at the Heaton Chapel Christian Fellowship near Stockport.

Mohammed (A Former Muslim) now preaching Jesus at CTFM this Sunday

Dear family & friends in Christ,

Mohammed a former Muslim from Pakistan, now a mighty Christian man of God, will be preaching at the CTFM base in Hallam at the 9.30am service. This man of God was once a very prominent and radical Muslim leader in Pakistan who hated the Christians and Jews, but today he absolutely loves everyone with the love of Jesus!

He was born into a very strict and radical Muslim family in Pakistan.  His father was one of the leading Islamic clerics in the country. When his Muslim parents found out that their son had become a Christian, they wanted to kill him, but most amazingly God protected him.

This dear brother in Christ has served with the Pakistan Air Force for many years. Once he was born-again he began to share his Christian faith with everyone he met, including his Muslim mates in the Air Force. When the Air Force found out that he had become a Christian he was sentenced to jail. After 4 months he was miraculously released from prison.

Culcairn NSW – Woman raised from the dead shares testimony / Muslims give their lives to Jesus

People surrendering to the Lord at the altar in CulcairnDiana who was raised from the dead next to Ps Daniel and memebers of CTFM teamDear family & friends in Christ,

1) We give all glory and honour to Jesus the King of kings and the Lord of lords for His mighty hand increasingly at work in our Nation of Australia!

The last few weeks have been absolutely exciting and glorious, including this past weekend as Ps Daniel and a team from CTFM ministered in Culcairn, NSW.

Over the weekend hundreds gathered to hear the word of God and almost every one present was mightily touched by the Spirit of God. So many were healed and mightily challenged to rise up and take a stand for Jesus.   Around 18 people, including many youth and children, got baptised in the Holy Spirit and prayed in tongues for the very first time in their life.

One of the highlights of the weekend was that Diana from Wagga, Wagga, who was raised from the dead in Israel by the power of God, shared her testimony of God’s amazing grace.   People were just absolutely shocked when they saw Diana in person.   What a mighty God we serve! (more…)

New Prime Minister / Mount Ainslie / Election 2007 – By Ps Daniel Nalliah

Pastor Daniel NalliahKevin Rudd and Julia GillardDear family & friends in Christ,

It is so great to be back home in Australia.  I am sure we all know that there is no place like home.  Our time in Israel, Jordan, Sri Lanka & Malaysia was fantastic. While I was in Sri Lanka I heard the shocking news that Kevin Rudd was no longer the PM but Julia Gillard had taken the top job.

I received many emails asking me what I thought about it and what’s going to happen to Australia with a self confessed Atheist as Prime Minister.   Sorry for not getting back to you before, but I was so very busy since returning from overseas and have also been reading many articles about this issue and seeking God’s wisdom before making any comments.

As you all know by now I tell people, ‘what they need to hear and not what they like to hear.’   Let’s give credit where it is due.  Unlike Kevin Rudd, at least PM Gillard has been honest in telling the people that she DOES NOT BELIEVE IN GOD.   However, is this the beginning of the end for Australia ??  This will depend on how you vote at the next election which could be anytime between now and November 2010.

In October 2009 we at CTFM carried out a spiritual warfare prayer assignment with the help of many other prayer warriors on Mt Ainslie in Canberra and around 30 other mountains across the country. We specifically prayed for rain, the breaking of the drought and that there would be no major bush fires.  Then we stretched our hands over federal parliament and prayed for ungodly leaders in parliament to be removed and righteousness to be restored. Julia Gillard and ‘religious faith’ – Please vote in polls

Australian Prime Minister Julia GillardDear friends and family in Christ,

Following is an email from Salt Shakers for your ongoing prayer for Australia’s government, that the righteousness of the Word of God would be exalted in our nation!

Julia Gillard and ‘religious faith’ – Please vote in polls

When Julia Gillard was sworn in as Prime Minister she used an ‘affirmation’ – not the traditional oath on the Bible. When asked about religion yesterday on the ABC, she said she didn’t believe in God and is “not a religious person” although she was brought up in the Baptist Church. She said “I’m not going to pretend a faith I don’t feel” but added that she respected the religious views of others.

Although we are concerned about the Prime Minister being an atheist, at least she is being upfront about her beliefs!

Having an atheist as the Prime Minister is a significant development and a move away from the Christian heritage of our nation. We would like to see committed Christians having influence in the governing of our nation.

We posted a report on these matters – with links – on the front page of our website yesterday.

Church Shift! 10/40 Window No Longer a Mission Field, but a “mission force”

10/40 Window now a Mission ForceAimee Herd (June 24, 2010)

“The Eastern Church that is rising up with radical faith is going to mobilize and inspire the rest of the Body of Christ around the world to get the Great Commission done.”

Pastor and Hip Hop artist, Jaseon Ma, has produced a film (1040) documenting the amazing work God seems to be doing in the Asia 10/40 window; (where the bulk of the world’s unreached people live) in the areas between 10 degrees and 40 degrees North Latitude.

Asia is a region of the world that, Jaseon explains, is alive and in motion with God’s Spirit in a “dramatic way.” (more…)

ALERT: Arrested for Being Christians at an Arab Festival…in America?

Dr Nabeel Quereshi arrested for sharing love of Jesus with Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan, USAMark Ellis (June 22 , 2010)

“No hating, no disturbing, no harassing… It remains only to be concluded that we were arrested simply for being Christian Preachers at the Arab Festival in Dearborn.”

FOUNDING EDITOR’S NOTE: There is a U.S. Constitution, a Bill of Rights, a Declaration of Independence, and a God in Heaven who is watching and I do not sense that Our God is pleased—with an arrest of Christians sharing their faith. Please join me in prayer that we will see a SEA CHANGE of whatever spiritual force is attempting to make this anything other than a Christian Nation with freedom for all religions as well. –Steve Shultz, Breaking Christian News.

(Dearborn, MI)—This past Friday, on June 18th, three Christians; Dr. Nabeel Quereshi, David Woods, and Paul Rezkalla, were arrested at the Arab International Festival in Dearborn, Michigan, according to an ANS News report.

A video, recorded by the three the next day after their release, explains what happened when they stood at the festival and only spoke with those who freely approached them. They maintain that they did not hand out Christian pamphlets, nor did they preach at people.

“We didn’t approach anyone,” says Nabeel on the video. “We waited for them to approach us, and they did.” He says that at first, the Muslims that came up to them would accuse them and call them racist, but “in a matter of minutes, multiple times, we were talking very amicably [with them], and enjoying the conversation. We made many friends yesterday…” (more…)

CTFM Israel mission report part 3 / Woman raised from the dead / by Pastor Daniel

Diana with Dr Murray and Geraldine of CTFM in Hospital Dear family & friends in Christ,

I am sure this part 3 report of God’s mighty power at work right in the Nation of Israel will greatly bless and encourage you to know that we serve a God of miracles!

On the last day of our tour in Israel we all boarded the 2 buses and started on our journey to cross the border into Jordan to visit mount Nebo before proceeding to the Amman Airport for our flights the same day.

In my bus was a lady by the name of Diana from Wagga Wagga in NSW, which is 4 hours from Melbourne, Australia, who had joined us on the tour. Also in the same bus was a Doctor by the name of Murray from Western Australia.

All seemed normal, except for the fact that we were sad to leave Israel, so as usual we started worshipping and singing praises to God. I was seated at the front of the bus as I was using the microphone to lead the people in worship.

While we were driving we were also talking about how great it was to visit the tombs of Lazarus and Jesus, as they were both raised from the dead in Israel over two thousand years ago. Suddenly I heard some shouting in the bus. At first I did not take much notice, but then my wife shouted out, “Danny, Danny come here.” She had just noticed something that she had seen a few times in ministry before.

CTFM Israel mission – Part 2 / by Pastor Daniel

Pastor Daniel and his wife leading the CTFM tour in IsraelEastern / Golden Gate where King Jesus rides through after His 2nd Coming to Jerusalem, IsraelDear family & friends in Christ,

I was so happy to read all the encouraging feedback from my last email titled ‘CTFM Israel mission great success – Part 1 / Mini revival in the aircrafts and transit hotel’ and I hope that this Part 2 report will bless you too!

I just do not know where to start once again, but I will try my best to share as briefly as possible as to what happened over our 8 day mission to Israel.

Although entering into Israel territory was very exciting, we were all very tired and ready to sleep the day we arrived.  There were many security checks, but they were not too bad. As soon as they heard that we were from Australia, there was great favour given to us. I must also say that with Jesus on our side, we did not have any major issues at all!

More than 60 of us were on this intercessory prayer mission trip, including my wife Maryse and little girl Brianna. I must say that the Catch The Fire team were just absolutely fantastic as everyone worked together so well and helped each other, which made the trip so pleasant and very exciting

For the first few days we stayed in the Palestinian controlled areas. The Jews & Palestinians were all very nice to us. We had many opportunities to share the love of Jesus and to pray with them. In fact, our bus driver who was a Palestinian Arab Muslim gave his life to Jesus!

Every site we visited in the Holy Land was so special and almost every site had been secured by mainline churches. Thank God for them, because if not for them, there possibly would be no Christian sites to visit in Israel. However, it was most depressing in many of these traditional religious places, as everyone was told to be silent in respect of the holy sites. We at CTFM did play by the rules at first, but then I remembered that Jesus is alive, not dead, and we needed to bring back the joy of the Lord! So I went up to the priest at every site and very kindly challenged him that we should celebrate that Jesus is alive! This strategy was successful at almost every place as we were given permission by the priests to praise and worship the Lord out loud in public! This was fantastic and brought great excitement into many of the traditional religious parts of the trip as we took over lifted our hands to worship the Lord! (more…)

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: “We Will Never Divide Jerusalem”

by Teresa Neumann : May 14, 2010 : Staff – The Jerusalem Post
The truth is that Jerusalem is our lifeblood. We have an indissoluble connection to it.”

(Jerusalem, Israel)—Israel’s capital will never be divided, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said during a speech in honor of Jerusalem Day on Wednesday, May 12.

“We cannot divide or freeze a city as vibrant and creative as Jerusalem – we will continue to build and be built by it,” he said. “Jerusalem Day is the day on which Jerusalem was finally liberated, and was able to take all of its residents, Jewish and Arab, under its wings. Never again shall it be suffocated, gloomy or divided.”

As reported in the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu’s speech centered on the interaction between peace and truth.

“We are the generation which was lucky enough to see our holy sites liberated and returned to our hands, and it is upon us to transfer this right to our children,” he said.

“The truth is that Jerusalem is our lifeblood. We have an indissoluble connection to it.”

An AP report noted that Netanyahu quoted the Bible frequently when defending the state of Israel, saying: “Because you asked: Jerusalem is mentioned 142 times in the New Testament, and none of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. But in an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem.”  (more…)
